KUEHNER Lydia M. Kuehner, age 73, of Columbus, April 19, 2001 at home. Preceded in death by her sister and brother Frances Kusian and Gerrard Strackeljohn, parents Henry and Pauline Strackeljohn and father-in-law and mother-in-law Mildred and Raymond Kuehner. She is survived by devoted husband of 50 years, Raymond L. Kuehner; daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela A. and Bradley Hulls, Paula M. and John Sondej, all of Columbus; 5 grandchildren, Sarah and Andrea Hulls, Christine, Luke and John Paul Sondej. Lydia was born on a farm near Curtice, Oh. to her beloved parents. Gifted with a talent and love for music, she attended Capital University where she graduated in 1949 with a B.S. in education. Lydia was a life-long educator and mentor, teaching music in Berlin Heights, Geona, Pickaway County, Logan Elm and Groveport Madison schools. As a long-time member of Gates-Fourth United Methodist Church, she served as junior and senior choir director, church organist and dean of vacation bible school. Since retirement in 1990, Lydia worked for Life Care Alliance delivering Meals-on-Wheels. Lydia will be greatly missed by her family and all those whose lives she touched. Family will receive friends Sunday 12:30-3 and 6-8 p.m. at GRAUMLICH & SON FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St. Memorial Service Monday 11 a.m. at Gates-Fourth UM Church, 1234 S. Fourth St. Rev. Ellen Phillips officiating. Inurnment at a later date at Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions in her memory to either Gates-Fourth UM Church, Life-Care Alliance or Hospice of Columbus.

LANG Ernest J. Lang, age 68, of Worthington, on Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Survived by wife, Janice; sons, Ernest III of Chillicothe, Oh., Bruce (Linda) of Johannesburg, South Africa, Michael of Westerville and Mark of Charlotte, N.C.; daughters, Kimberly (Ray) Johnson-Jerome of Woodstock, Ga., Shelly (Kenny) Kreager of Mt. Sterling, Oh.; grandchildren, James Lang, Wade Johnson, Danielle, Lindsey and Kendra Kreager, Anna and Emma Lang; mother, Anna (Ignatz) Strobl of Cleveland; brother, Fred (Alicia) Lang of Richmond, Va.; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Lang was a retired Vice President from The Wasserstrom Co. and a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. A service to celebrate Mr. Lang's life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2001 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., (* mile South of I-270). LYLE Newton G. Lyle, age 87, received by our heavenly father on Thursday, April 19, 2001. Preceded in death by wife Marie H. Lyle. Survived by his dearest, Mona Boster; his sons, Daniel (Patty) Lyle and Thomas (Bonnie) Lyle; grandchildren, Bill Lyle, Tim Lyle, Jennifer (Dave) Malik, Heather (Kevin) Martin and Joshua (Kathy) Lyle; great-grandchildren, Billy, Ryan, Samantha, Tyler, Caitlin Lyle and Nathaniel Martin; special family, Rita and Kenny Purrell and children, Kenny Joe, Stephanie, Scott, Chrissy. Retired from Borden's after many years of service. Newtie will be missed and most remembered for his humor and being grandpa fix-it. Family will receive friends Sunday April 22 from 3-5 p.m. at the WEIR-AREND FUNERAL HOME, 4221 N. MIDLICK Ralph L. "Rudy" Midlick, age 80, of Sarasota, Fla. since 1987, formerly of Galesburg, Ill., died April 17, 2001. Born March 4, 1921 in Brewster, Oh. Had worked as an Engineer with Westinghouse for 23 years and Magtag for 11 years. Member Beta Gamma Sigma, Sahib Temple. Member of the Banjo Band with Shriners and a member of the West Gate Masonic Lodge in Columbus, OH. Graduate of The Ohio State University. Army Veteran of WW II. First Congregational Church in Sarasota, Fla. Survived by wife of 51 years, Eleanore; daughter, Lori A. Curran; sister, Alice Dixon; brother, Raymond Midlick, all of Columbus, Oh.; 3 grandchildren. Memorial Service 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 24 at First Congregational Church, Euclid Ave. in Sarasota, Fla. Memorial contributions to Hospice of S.W. MITCHELL Ruth K. Mitchell, 68, Sunbury, Thursday, April 19, 2001 at Morning View Care Center, Sunbury. Born on May 8, 1932 to the late Robert Carl and Lillian (Daniels) Thompson. Retired binder for Robbins Enterprises. Survived by husband, George R. Mitchell; sons, Richard Brand, Columbus, Gary Brand, Delaware; daughters, Shirley (Jim) Little, Westerville, Sandra (John) Kendall, Glendale, Az.; 7 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; aunt, Esther Daniels; cousin, Nancy E. O'BRIEN Terry L. O'Brien, age 56, of Pickerington, Thursday, April 19, 2001 at his residence. Born August 16, 1944 in Franklin, Pa. to the late Harold T. "Pete" and Evelyn O'Brien. 1962 graduate of Franklin High School and a graduate of New Castle Business College. He was a member, past President and Melvin  Jones Fellow of the Pickerington Lions Club, past Chairman and 14 year member of the Pickerington Parks Board, Boy Scout Merit Badge Counselor for Troop #256, past member of the Board of Governors of Columbus Transportation Club and enjoyed coaching football, baseball, soccer and girls softball. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Survived by his wife of 26 years, JoAnn; son, Charles Joseph O'Brien of Pickerington; mother-in-law, Ruth Temeschinko, Charleroi, Pa.; nieces, nephews and brothers- and sisters-in-law. Preceded in death by brothers George T. "Tom" and James M. "Mike" O'Brien. Friends may visit 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Road N., (St. Rt. #256), Pickerington, where funeral service will be held 8 p.m. Monday. Interment will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Cemetery in Hyner, Pa. OVERTURF Katherine Sue Betts Overturf, age 43, of London, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Overturf of Marysville and Crystal Overturf of Marysville; their father, Kendall Overturf of Marysville; her fiancé, Dana McGrew of London; her mother, Mary Neidert of W.Va.; sister, Dianne Howard of London; brothers, Carl (Jackie) Betts of Circleville and Allen Betts of London; step-mother, Grace MacMurray of London; step-brother, Steve MacMurray of Zanesville; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Everett Allen Betts, 2 sisters Ruth Ann and Edna Eileen Betts. Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m. Monday at the DEFENBAUGH-WISE-SCHOEDINGER FUNERAL HOME, 151 E. Main St., Circleville. Interment to follow at McGee Cemetery in Vinton County. PADRUTT Charles Edward Padrutt, age 46, of Westerville, Friday, April 20, 2001 at St. Ann's Hospital. Employed by Medical Transcribing in Columbus. Survived by son, Christopher Padrutt; daughter, Shannon Padrutt; parents, Patricia and Charles R. Padrutt; brothers, Rick (Claudia), all of Westerville and Tim (Diana) of West  Jefferson; sister, Pam Padrutt of Westerville; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Survived by husband, Morris "Morrey" Prayzer; father, Morris Shulman; brother, Hersh Shulman, all of Columbus; brother-in-law, Kenny (Cindy) Prayzer of Phoenix, Ariz.; sister-in-law, Bernice (Rabbi Dove) Rubin of Dayton, Oh.; niece, Jennifer Prayzer; nephew, Jacob Prayzer; and many other relatives and friends. Renee was a member of Agudas Achim Synagogue, an educator with the Upper Arlington School System for over 29 years. A loving wife and friend to everybody she met. Funeral service Monday 2 p.m. at THE EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3232 E. Main St. with Rabbi Dove Rubin, Rabbi Joel Epstein and Cantor Baruch Shifman officiating. RATHBUN Robert "Bob" Rathbun, age 76, of Carroll, Friday April 20, 2001 at The VA Hospital, Chillicothe. Survived by loving wife of 25 years, Gerry; daughters, Louise (John) Budde, Grandview and Mary Ann (Mark) Coleman, Philadelphia; sons, Robert Rathbun, Va. and Charles Rathbun, Calif.; 5 grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents Horace R. and Henrietta (Smith) Rathbun and step-father Grant Parker. Friends may contribute to the American Cancer Society, 900 Michigan Ave., Columbus in Bob's memory. (Kevin) Carter, Columbus; step-daughter, Jane Stephens, Wilmington; brothers, Russell (Jaimie) Scott of Robstown, Tex., Charles D. Scott of Corpus Christi, Tex. and Jack Scott of Maine; sister, Grace (Harold) Butler of Nordheim, Tex.; 2 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
