MULVANE Marie E. Mulvane, age 92, of First Community Village, Columbus, Oh., died Tuesday, April 10, 2001 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Widow of Dr. Eugene L. Mulvane, she had 4 sisters and 2 brothers who preceded in death. Surviving are several nieces and nephews and the Richard and Esther McCarley family. Marie was a former Advertising Manager of American Ceramic Society. Graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2001 at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus. McCLAIN Harold Verle "Mac" McClain, age 81, Tuesday, April 10, 2001 at Doctors Hospital West after a brief illness. Veteran U.S. Army, serving in WW II. Member of Center Lodge #86 F&AM in Johnstown, Oh. and VFW in Alexandria, Oh. Preceded in death by sister Alma Louise Converse. Survived by wife of 45 years, Dorothy Jane; sons, Thomas E. (Maureen) Persinger of Westerville and Stacy J. (Elizabeth) McClain of Chesapeake, Va.; daughters, Bobbie S. (Donald) Wolfe of Columbus, Kathleen B. RICHTER Carrie Pearl Richter, age 93, Monday, April 9, 2001 at Laurels of Norworth. Preceded in death by husband Raymond. RYAN John Orvle Ryan, 53, of Columbus, after a battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by brother Little Richie. SHERMAN Erla J. Sherman, age 92, of Columbus, died Saturday, April 7, 2001 at Sunrise on the Scioto. She retired from State Auto Insurance Co., where she worked as a key punch operator. She was a founding member of East Columbus Church of Christ. She was active with the State Auto Retirees, and was an avid traveler and euchre player. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles, son Thomas J. Connell, sisters Helen Casto and Lillian (Francis) Caldwell, sister-in-law Jeannie Casto, brother-in-law Fred Stamm. She is survived by granddaughters, Deborah (Joseph) Streb and Sherry Baffert; daughter-in-law, Shirley S. Connell; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Stephanie and Sterling Streb, Taylor, Canyon, Forest and Savannah Baffert; sister, Doris Stamm; brothers, William (Lacy) and Robert Casto; many nieces and nephews. SMITH Dale F. Smith, 79, of Williamsport, Oh., passed away at his home on Sunday, April 8, 2001. He was born February 10, 1922, the son of Harry and Nellie (Finney) Smith. He served in Merchant Marines in WW II in the Far East Theater. He was a prominent farmer all his life until recently retired. Also served as Monroe Twp. Trustee for many years. He is survived by a brother, Gale (Alice) Smith of Alaska; sister, Evelyn (Leon) Woods of Fla.; sister, Vivian O'Donnell of Columbus; numerous nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews of Columbus, Oh., Fla. and Md.; several cousins; special friend, Hazel Scott of Tronton, Oh.; very special friend, neighbor and partner, Dale W. Owner and Franchisee of several Domino's Pizza stores in the Sarasota and Naples, Florida area. Former manager and area supervisor of Domino's Pizza in Columbus and Detroit. Former president of the Domino's Franchisee & Owners Association. A 1980 graduate of Westerville North High School and attended the University of Dayton.
