His survivors include his wife, Priscilla, to whom he had been married for nearly 63 years; other survivors include his son, Robert of Ashland, Ky.; grandchildren, Gregory of Ashland, Ky., Scott of Edwards Air Force Base in Calif., Jennifer Terry and her husband, Matthew; great-granddaughter, Julia Marie Terry of Ga. Special friends and relatives include Jim and Ilona Hurd, Nancy Irvin, Betty, Rita, Norma and Carol Ann, along with many other nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church, 15690 McGregor Blvd., Ft. Myers, Fla. 33908, where he was a charter member. The service will be private with the Rev. HAMILTON Charles T. Hamilton, age 78, passed away at his home on Saturday, April 7, 2001. Retired from Alltel Company. Veteran WWII, Army. Preceded in death by his parents Charles and Maude Hamilton. Survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty; brother, Walker; and sister, Anne; several nieces and nephews. Graveside service and interment Wednesday, April 11, 2001 at 11 a.m. Sunset Cemetery. Arrangements by SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL.

HAWKINS Mary Maureen Hawkins, 55, died Sunday, April 8, 2001 at St. Angela's Nursing Home. She was employed with Wal-Mart as a Lawn and Garden Specialist. She is survived be her mother, Vera Cattle; son, Thomas (Mellysa) Hawkins; daughter, Alicia (Steve) Lowe; 8 grandchildren; and brother, James Cattle. Funeral service will be held 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2001 at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, where friends will be received 1 hour prior to the service. Dr. William J. HICKS Faye Merideth Hicks, 45, of Lake Park, Fla., passed away on Monday, April 9, 2001. She has lived in this area since 1973, moving from Oh. She had been a L.P.N. at Menorah House of Boca Raton for many years. Ms. Hicks attended both Christ Fellowship Church and Metropolitan Community Church of the Palm Beaches. She was predeceased by her brother Arthur "Butch" Merideth. She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Krysten Hicks of Lake Park, Fla.; her mother, Yvonne Hostetter of Gahanna, Oh.; her father, Jack Merideth and her step-mother, Marilyn Merideth, both of Stoutsville, Oh.; sister, Julie Wright of Housten, Tex.; 3 brothers, Bill Harvey of Olive Branch, Miss., Alan Harvey of Circleville, Oh. and Mark Merideth of San Diego, Calif.; and her friends, Rene Tanck and Betty Griner, both of Lake Park. Her family will receive their friends at THOMAS L. PRICE FUNERAL HOME, 553 Northlake Blvd., North Palm Beach, Fla. on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday at Metropolitan Community Church of the Palm Beaches, 4857 Northlake Blvd., North Palm Beach at 11 a.m. Donations in her memory to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Ave., would be appreciated.

HILL David J. Hill, age 73, of Orient, Oh., April 7, 2001 at OSU Medical Center. Owner and operator of Hill Trucking Co. and of Salvage Truck & Equipment. Member of the National Rifle Association. Preceded in death by brothers Al and Lee Hill. Survived by children, David (Debbie) Hill of Grove City, Mary Ann (Jim) Chapin of Mt. Sterling, Alberta (Ed) Dudley and William Hill of Columbus and their mother, Mary; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; special friend and companion, Sue Graham; many other friends. HOUCK Walter Aloysius Houck, Jr., age 82, of Columbus, Ohio. Died April 8, 2001 at St. Raphael's. Loving Father and Husband. A Man with a work ethic held in high esteem by family and friends. He is survived by wife, Patricia Lu Houck; sons, Robert Aloysius Houck and James Patrick Houck; and one brother, John Houck; sister, Suzana Houck of Tiffin, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Olga Bryan Houck of Columbus and nephew, Michael Bryan Houck of Columbus; niece, Mary Agnes Houck and her son, Danny Houck of Columbus.  Johnson Roy D. Johnson, age 45, suddenly Thursday, April 5, 2001. Survived by wife, Nancy; children, Roger, Bernice, Debra, Ronnie, Mary Ann and Susanna Johnson; 2 grandchildren. KNOBLAUCH Paul Ewing "Knobby" Knoblauch, age 67, passed away Monday, April 9, 2001 at his residence. Born November 8, 1933. Retired from City of Columbus. Graduate Columbus South High School class of 1952. Graduate Columbus State Community College. Whitehall volunteer and regular fire department. Member Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Whitehall Kiwanis, Whitehall Area Lions, WCCA, Whitehall Historical Society, Whitehall Post #8794 VFW, Happy Spirits Holy Spirit Catholic Church, held various positions in the Boy Scouts for over 30 years, Whitehall First Male Outstanding Citizen 1969, tour guide for the Whitehall Senior Citizens Club. Survived by wife of 46 years, Sylvia (Wildermuth) Knoblauch; daughters, Nancy (Bill) Dietz of Columbus, Janet Knoblauch of Alabama; sons, Leo Knoblauch of Whitehall, Paul (Kim) Knoblauch of Canton, Don Knoblauch of Columbus; granddaughters, Kathryn Dietz and Jessica Knoblauch; brother, Robert (Jane) Knoblauch; sister-in-law, Irene Knoblauch; brothers-in-law, David (Brenda) Wildermuth, Dan (Dorothy) Wildermuth; niece, Rose Heslin; and many other loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. LEMONCELLI Betty Lemoncelli, age 62, of Galloway, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2001 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. She was a member of Lincoln Baptist Church and was formerly employed by AEP. Preceded in death by parents Luther and Nellie Sark; and brother Charles Sark. Survived by husband, Ed; daughter, Renee Lemoncelli; granddaughter, Sarah Lemoncelli; brother, Gene Sark; sisters, Helen Kosonvich and Barbara Huneck; numerous other relatives. Betty touched many lives and will be missed by her family and friends. Visitation Tuesday 5-7 p.m. at MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 2697 Columbus St., Grove City. LEVIER Paul A. Levier, age 76, passed away Monday, April 9, 2001 at his residence. Employed by Consolidated Freightways for 38 years. Army Air Force Veteran of WW II. Deacon and member of First Baptist Church of Groveport. Survived by wife of 52 years, Helen; sons, Paul D. (Gladys) Levier of Grove City and John M. (JoAnne) Levier of Thornville; daughter, Darlene Levier; grandchildren, Melinda (Aaron) Brady, John (Marie) Levier, Jim (Keri) Levier and Cynthia Levier; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, William A. (Pansy) Levier of Waverly and John (Wilma) Levier, Jr. of W.Va.; sisters, Betty Wulf of Waverly and Margaret (Dick) Cox of Fla.; many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. LYONS Elizabeth M. Lyons, 86, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 8, 2001. She was born in Columbus, Oh. on January 21, 1915. She was preceded in death by her parents Verena and William Ashcraft, sister Catherine E. Polk and brother William Ashcraft Jr. Mrs. Lyons was married to Ralph Lyons of Norton, Va. who died in 1950, for whom she has grieved and held in her heart since his passing. Mrs. Lyons served in the U.S. Marines and the American Red Cross. She worked for government agencies during most of her life and was manager of the Credit Bureau of Wise Co., from where she retired in 1977. She was a lifelong devout Catholic and a loving, devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by daughter, Julie Lyons Miller of Norton, Va.; 3 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a host of relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the HAGY & FAWBUSH FUNERAL HOME, Norton, Va. Mass of the Resurrection will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Norton with Fr. Joseph Facura as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the American Legion Cemetery.

MASSENGALE Helen Marie Massengale, beloved family matriarch, passed quietly away Saturday, April 7, 2001, where she came into this life at home in Mayhew, Okla. Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday April 12 at the Boswell First Methodist Church, conducted by PRATER-LAMPTON-MILLS & COFFEY, Boswell, Okla. Survived by 1 brother, Robert Massengale of Bella Vista, AR; 1 sister, Nathalia Elmquist of Albuquerque, N.M.; 6 nieces; 4 nephews; and many great- and great-great-nieces and nephews and cousins. Helen will be laid to rest with family at Restland Cemetery, Boswell, Okla. Helen was born at Mayhew, Okla. on March 31, 1908, daughter of early Indian Territory pioneers, Jink Lee and Minerva Duncan Massengale. She was a graduate of Southeastern State University, BSEd, and taught in Mayhew, Okla., Lamesa, Pampa and Dallas, Tex. While in Dallas, she worked at Neiman Marcus before moving to work as a clerk in the Pentagon. She attended University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on a Kellogg Fellowship from the Kellogg Foundation, graduating in 1948 with a Masters Degree in Public Health and worked as a health educator in Bedford-Marshall County Health Department in Shelbyville and Lewisburg, Tenn. She moved to Oh. in 1950 as the health educator for the Bowling Green District Office of the Ohio Department of Health. In 1954 Helen moved to Columbus when she was named Assistant Division Chief of Health Education with State Department of Health. She was appointed Division Chief in 1960 and served in that position until she retired in 1978. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and many professional associations. After her retirement, she toured interior China with a group of health professionals endorsed by President Carter. During her 30 years of service to the citizens of Oh., she served as President of the Society of Public Health Educators, Chairman of the State Planning Committee for Health Educators of Ohio, and member of State and Territorial Directors of Health Education in the Ohio Public Health Association, which awarded her the John D. Porterfield Distingshed Service Award, the primary national honor for service to public health. She was a member of the state Rural Health Council and the statewide Farm Safety Education Program. She was selected as a National Fellow of the Society of Public Health Education and was recognized by the Ohio State Extension Service for her contributions to the 4-H Clubs of Ohio. In rememberance of working with Helen, a co-worker lovingly commented, "Helen was an efficient, kind, generous and supportive director. She provided outstanding leadership to health education programs in Ohio.

MEYER Emma L. Meyer, age 75, of Adrian, Mich., formerly of Worthington, Oh., died Friday, April 6, 2001 at Provincial House, Adrian, Mich. Emma was born January 27, 1926 in Columbus, Oh. to Raymond and Marguerite (Nolan) Bachtel. She attended Capital University and graduated from Grant Hospital School of Nursing. On October 14, 1950 she married William F. Meyer. Emma was employed for 41 years as a registered nurse at Harding Hospital in Worthington, a career which gave her life purpose and enjoyment, and where she met and made many life-long friends. She was a resident of the Columbus area until May 1997 when she and her husband moved to Mich. to reside near their daughter. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, William; 1 daughter, Melinda and her husband, Miguel Perez and their daughters, Sarah and Jessica, all of Manitou Beach, Mich.; 1 son, Gregory Meyer and his wife, Rebecca (Durrett) and her son, Eric, all of Columbus; and her brother, Raymond Bachtel of Columbus. Her parents preceded her in death. At Emma's request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Columbus. Memorial contributions in Emma's name may be made to the American Diabetes. Association, National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) or the Resident Activity Fund at Provincial House in Adrian, Mich. Arrangements are under the direction of COOK & SON-PALLAY FUNERAL HOME, Columbus, Oh.
