'Bobby' Junker, active in church, athletics
Services were Saturday for Robert "Bobby" Junker, 42, who died March 18 in a car crash on Interstate 75.
An avid athlete, he started for Roger Bacon High School and continued his baseball career at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala., where he earned a bachelor's degree. He earned his MBA at Xavier University.
Mr. Junker was honored along with his father, Ed Junker, his uncle and cousin in a Hank Zurieck/Buddy LaRosa sports tribute.
Both he and his wife coached their daughters in baseball and volleyball at St. Vivian's Parish in Finneytown, where he was also active in the booster group.
He recently joined Fifth Third Bank as a tax manager, after leaving a position as a CPA at SDRC.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Junker; daughters, Elizabeth, Annie, Grace and Catherine Junker; parents, Ed and Ruth Junker; sisters, Jeanne Wietmarschen, Patty McDonald, Donna Resch, and Peggy Rose.

Theodore Kunkel, 76, salesman Theodore H. Kunkel, 76, died on March 20 at his home in Avon Park, Fla.
Mr. Kunkel was a salesman for Pioneer Vending in Cincinnati. He moved to Avon Park in 1997 and also lived in Aurora, Ind.
Mr. Kunkel was a World War II Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Marie (Carle) Kunkel; daughters, Dr. Suzanne R. Kunkel and Denise Orth of Cincinnati, Mary Kay Kunkel of Bright, Ind.; son, Theodore H. Kunkel of Cincinnati; 11 grandchildren; one great granddaughter and brother Robert L. Kunkel of Delaware.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Fridayat St. Ignatius Church, White Oak. Memorial donations may be sent to the hospice of the donor's choice.
