Rosalie Glasgow, library story teller
Rosalie Sunderman Glasgow, 99, who told stories to children at the library, died Wednesday at her home in the Courtyard of the Seasons in Kenwood.
Raised in Western Hills, she was employed as a children's story teller at the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County when she met her husband, the late Herbert B. Glasgow Sr., who was an engineer.
Mrs. Glasgow's interest in reading continued into her 90s. She especially liked to read business publications.
She had a strong interest in the stock market, which she studied daily most of her adult life. Friends regularly would seek her counsel on stock market investments.
Art was another of her strong interests. She enjoyed painting and won awards for her work with oils. Her floral arrangements won various garden club competitions.
Mrs. Glasgow was a 75-year member of the Westwood chapter of Eastern Star. She also was a member of the Queen City Women's Club and the Clippinger Women's Club. She was the installin g officer for many presidents of both organizations.
She was president of the Kennedy Heights-Silverton School PTA during the elementary school years of her children, Jean Glasgow Hershman and the late Herbert B. Glasgow Jr.
While her children attended the University of Cincinnati, she was president of the mother's clubs of Kappa Delta sorority and Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
Other survivors include five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandson.
Funeral services will be private. Memorials may be made to any hospice.

Ky.'s Patricia Dammert, helped restore Suspension Bridge
Patricia A. Dammert, former executive director of Senior Citizens of Northern Ke ntucky and one of the forces behind the restoration of the Roebling Suspension Bridge, died Thursday in Jacksonville, Fla., of an apparent heart attack. She was 67.
Mrs. Dammert and her husband, Donald, had moved to Ellenton, Fla., in 1991 upon his retirement. They had lived in Elsmere, Ky.
"She was a doer," said her son, Mike Dammert of Fort Mitchell, Ky. "She was Irish, with a bubbly personality. She was full of life."
Mrs. Dammert was past president of the Bettie Carter Morgan Women's Club of Erlanger, member of the Louisa Women's Club and state president of the Kentucky Federation of Women's Clubs from 1974-76.
She chaired the Bicentennial Bridge Committee, which worked to restore the Roebling Suspension Bridge.
"The color blue is nautical blue - the closest they could come to the red, white and blue they were looking for," said Mike Dammert. The gold cupolas atop the bridge were part of the restoration that the committee led.
Other survivors include her husband;a daughter, Mindy Salierno of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; son, Charles E. Dammert of Fort Myers, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Mansion Chapel, Ellenton, Fla. A Northern Kentucky memorial service will be held at Erlanger Christian Church next week (friends may call the church for details. 727-2076).

Westwood's Bertha Trefzger, served others
Bertha E. Trefzger, of Westwood, a tireless volunteer, died Sunday. She was 94.< p> Mrs. Trefzger was involved in more than 16 organizations, including PTAs and mission volunteer groups.
"That's just a drop in the bucket," said her daughter-in-law, Lydia Trefzger, of the list that included the Glenmary Mission Guild, where Mrs. Trefzger was a member for more than 25 years.
In addition to the compassion she showed others, her Westwood home was a gathering place for her three sons and their families.
"Everyone was always welcome," said her daughter-in-law.
She lived in what the family called the "Trefzger compound" - next door to one granddaughter, in back of her son's home, and catty-corner from his daughter's house. The inground pool in her backyard was shared by their families as well as by neighbors. The family held a 200-person sit-down dinner in the yards this June to celebrate her 94th birthday.
Mrs. Trefzger traveled with her late husband, Herbert B., a salesman, around the tri-state and Ohio. She played piano and would have family gather around her and sing along during parties. She also played bridge and gardened. She was a former president of the Beaux & Belles Dance Club.
Mrs. Trefzger is survived by three sons, Jerry, of Westwood, Jim, of Sarasota, Fla., Paul, of San Francisco, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Clarence F. Conradi, of Fort Thomas, Ky., died Monday at Carmel Manor Nursing Ho me in Fort Thomas. He was 93.
Mr. Conradi was a retired meter-reader with Cincinnati Gas & Electric and Union Light, Heat and Power companies, and was a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society, Holy Name Society and the Bob White Sportsman Club. His wife, Helen Conradi, died in 1993.
