Civic volunteer Marlene Rembold
Civic and charitable volunteer Marlene Rembold, of Wyoming, died Monday. She was 67.
Mrs. Rembold was a president, member of the board of trustees and longtime volunteer with the Cooperative Society of Children's Hospital and was active in the Valley Interfaith Food and Clothing Center.
Among her many other endeavors, she served as vice president of the Cincinnati Historical Society, chair of the Wyoming Woman's Club and interpreter at Sharon Woods Historic Village. She also was active at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension and Holy Trinity.
Mrs. Rembold leaves her husband of 45 years, Harold; son, Christopher M. Rembold, M.D., of Charlottsville, Va.; daughter, Jennifer Rembold Moore of Wyoming; and five grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension and Holy Trinity, Wyoming. Visitation: 6 to 9 p.m. today at the church.

William M. Castellini, grandson of Cincinnati produce founder
William McGregor Castellini was a distinguished
military graduate with a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Cincinnati. As a first lieutenant, he served in the
Korean War. Mr. Castellini, who was born and raised in Cincinnati, died May 8 at Lafayette, La., following a brief illness resulting from kidney failure. He was 69. He was the grandson of J.J. Castellini, founder of the Castellini Produce Co. in Cincinnati. In college, he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity from which he received the Golden Legion Award in 1996. He also had associate and bachelors degrees in criminal justice from Southwestern Louisiana University. The William McGregor Castellini Memorial Endowed Scholarship has been established at Southwestern. Following
military service, he moved to Opelousas, La., where he grew, shipped and sold sweet potatoes. He also was a general contractor and real estate broker. He was active in Republican politics for 30 years and was a former president of the St. Landry Parish Board of Elections. He was a founder and president of the St. Landry Tourist Commission. Mr. Castellini was a member of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians, the Rotar y Club of Lafayette and he was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Reserve Officers Association. He leaves his wife, Dr. Patricia A. Castellini; two sisters, Ruth Castellini Keefe and Mona Castellini Poynter, both of Cincinnati. Sister Mary Florence Heric, health professional
Sister Mary Florence Heric, 81, of Clifton, died Thursday. A Sister of Charity for 57 years, she spent more than 40 years working in hospitals in Ohio, Michigan and the West.
Sister Mary Florence began working at Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati, 1942. In 1952, she was appointed the first Director of Nursing Services at the hospital, a position she held until 1959 and again from 1963 to 1967.
She was coordinator of health care at the
O'Connell Unit of Good Samaritan, Cincinnati, from 1972 until her retirement in 1986.
She leaves sisters, Kathleen Allen of Flushing, Mich.; Mary Louise Rich of Unionville, Mich.; and Nanette Thomas of Bay City, Mich.

Maria B. Newstedt, taught nursing
Maria B. Newstedt, who worked as a nurse and nursing instructor in Appalachia and Africa, died of breast cancer Wednesday.
Mrs. Newstedt, 66, lived in Hyde Park.
"She was an excellently organized lady with a brilliant mind and the capacity to win devoted friends," said her husband, J. Roger Newstedt.
Born in Budapest, Hungary, Mrs. Newstedt lived under Nazi and Soviet rule until her parents sent her to Cincinnati. She completed her education at the College of Mount St. Joseph and the University of Cincinnati School of Nursing.
She worked for the Frontier Nursing Service in Appalachia and taught nursing at what then was General Hospital in Cincinnati. She also taught nursing for six months in Uganda.
Mrs. Newstedt also leaves three stepdaughters, Anne N. Phelps of Loveland; Carol S. Hesser of Hyde Park; and Susie S. Goldman of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and seven grandchildren.
