CECIL - Barbara J. Casto, 53, died at 10 a.m. EDT Sunday, April 13, 2003, in her home.
She was born July 10, 1949, in Wheeling, W.Va., the daughter of Francis I. and Theresa (Pomorski) McMahon, who survive in Wheeling. On July 15, 1967, she married John E. Casto, who survives.
Mrs. Castro was employed by Plastic Corp., Bryan, and Stokley Canning Plant, formerly of Paulding.
Other survivors include:
Daughters - Michelle (Michael) Lyons of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Cassandra Casto of Celina
Brothers - Paul (Barbara) McMahon, Francis (Lynn) McMahon, Joseph McMahon and Jeffrey McMahon, all of Wheeling
Sisters -- Rita (Danny) Mullins of Hicksville and Diane (Greg) Hinerman of Roan Mountain, Tenn.
Seven grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Thomas McMahon and Wilda Ridle and maternal grandparents, Anna and Walter Ponorski.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. EDT today at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, the Rev. Roy Nelson officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

Raymond E. Foust
Died: Sunday, April 13, 2003
Age: 61
DELPHOS - Raymond E. "Gene" Foust, 61, died at 11:14 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born July 16, 1941, in Lima, the son of the late Raymond L. and Amanda R. (Derrow) Foust. On Feb. 14, 1987, he married Janice A. "Jan" Foust, who survives in Lima.
Mr. Foust was employed by Accubuilt in Lima. He formerly worked for Superior Coaches and Sheller Globe.
Other survivors include:
Sons - Johnny Ray Foust and Dennis Dean (Elizabeth) Foust, both of Delphos
Daughters - Julia Lynn Craig of Delphos and Beth Ann (Eugene) Maag of Fort Jennings
Stepson - Jeremy (Elizabeth) Backus of 29 Palms, Calif.
Stepdaughters - Michelle "Shelly" Holland and Laura Backus, both of Lima
His grandchildren, Amanda (Derrick) Coil, Jessica Cooper, Brock Ellis, Cassandra Foust, Derek Foust, Crystal Keyton, Shana Rae Foust, Jon Holland, Mardus Backus, Shanin Holland, Kyle Holland, Angel Fea Foust, Joren Backus, Jarrett Backus, Destyne Backus, Zachary Foust and Alyssia Foust, also survive.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Dean Foust.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel, Delphos, the Rev. Russ Thomson officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Alice M. Mayer
Died: Sunday, April 13, 2003
Age: 81
DELPHOS - Alice M. Mayer, 81, died at 8 a.m. Sunday, April 13, 2003, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 5, 1921, in Delphos, the daughter of the late Clarence and Edna (Feaster) Mox. On May 3, 1947, she married Norman E. Mayer, who preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 2002.
Mrs. Mayer worked for Graham Trailers.
Survivors include:
Son - David (Linda) Mayer of Elida
Daughter - Katherine (Steve) Brekhus of Florida
Sisters -- Helen Gorman and Norma Koenig
Four grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Mox.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter Lutheran Church, the Rev. William Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Harter & Son Funeral Home, Delphos, and an hour prior to service time Thursday at the church.
Opal O. Zelen

Age: 99
OHIO CITY - Opal O. Zelen, 99, of Ohio City died at 9:20 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2003, at Van Wert Manor Nursing Home.

Newell Gray
Died: Friday, April 11, 2003
Age: 80
Newell "Pappy" Gray, 80, of Van Wert died unexpectedly at 3:50 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert.
He was born Aug. 7, 1922, in Akron, the son of the late Perry and Gertrude ( White ) Gray. On Oct. 29, 1990, he married Colleen I. (Youtsey) Subler, who preceded him in death on Oct. 5, 2000.
Mr. Gray, a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran stationed in Alaska during World War II, retired from Sherburn Construction after many years of service. He was a life member of Robert G. Longwell Post 5803, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Van Wert, a member and past president of Van Wert Coon Hunters Association and received the Brooks McHill Sportsmanship Award from the American Coon Hunters Association.
Survivors include one niece, Linda Meckly of Jupiter, Fla.; three nephews, Terry Gray of Stow, Jerry Gray of Senoia, Ga., and Robert Gray of Akron; two cousins, Jim Baldwin of Grand Blanc, Mich., and Tom White of Royal Oak, Mich.; and his wife's children, Robert Subler of California, Terry Subler of Lima and Pam Shaner of Ponte Gorda, Fla.
He was preceded in death by brother, Nile Gray.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert, the Rev. Douglas Stockton of Welsey United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert, with
military graveside services.
Calling hours are 4-6:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Community Health Professionals - Hospice.
M. Margaret Lloyd
Died: Friday, April 11, 2003
Age: 84
ROCKFORD - M. Margaret Lloyd, 84, formerly of Rockford, died at 4 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2003, at The Sunrise of Englewood in Englewood.
She was born Oct. 4, 1918, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Floyd Crone and Blanche Leona Kushmaul Crone. On Dec. 15, 1940, she married Richard Lloyd, who preceded her in death on March 11, 1993.
Mrs. Lloyd was a homemaker.
Survivors include:
Daughter -- Jonelle (Phil) Roberts of Clayton
Son -- Kevin (Leslie) Lloyd of Darien, Conn.
Sister -- Marcelle Kenner of Hicksville
Five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. Karen Long officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
Carl Junior McClure
Died: Thursday, April 10, 2003
Age: 75
Carl Junior McClure, 75, of rural Van Wert died at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Jan. 13, 1928, in Wren, the son of the late Lohnes C. and Alda G. (Bowen) McClure. On Dec. 30, 1950, he married Rose Marie Voltz, who survives at the residence.
Mr. McClure retired from Continental Can Co. (Greif Bros.) in Van Wert in 1990 after 43 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served with the 7th Army in Germany during the
Korean War.

Sons -- Bill McClure, Jay McClure and Jody (Suzi) McClure, all of Van Wert, Rick (Lisa) McClure of Ohio City and Mike (Karen) McClure of Wren
Six grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Harrison Township, the Rev. Ron D. Fruth officiating. Burial will be in Evangelical Protestant Cemetery, Harrison Township.

ST. MARYS - Beatrice H. "Grandma" Rohrbach, 99, of St. Marys died at 7:07 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2003, at the Valley Nursing Home, St. Marys.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Joy Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens near St. Marys.
