ROCKFORD - Adolph Garza Rodriguez, 64, of New Bremen, formerly of Rockford, died at 7:55 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2003, in his home.
He was born in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Adolph and Maria Guadlupe Rodriguez. On Dec. 8, 1984, he married Mary Anna Holdshoe, who survives.
Mr. Rodriguez, a Vietnam veteran having served in both the Army and the Marines, was a maintenance supervisor at Master Maintenance.

Sons - Christopher (Kathleen) Rodriguez of Akron/Canton and Ryan Rodriguez of San Diego, Calif.
Stepsons - James Emmins of New Bremen, William Emmins of Coldwater and Paul Emmins of Lima
Brothers - Jesse (Connie) Rodriguez of New Bremen and Benito (Esther) Rodriguez of Florida
Sisters - Mary (Greg) Bennett of Celina, Helen (Jay) Litherland of Florida, Margaret (Robert) McNoughton of Georgia, Bebe (Robert) Hicks of Wisconsin, Beda (Robert) Sielschott of Lima and Judy (Brad) Mann of Michigan
One grandson also survives.
Graveside services for family and friends will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford, the Rev. Robert Cochran officiating. Burial will follow the service.
Patty L. Simpson
Died: Tuesday, April 29, 2003
Age: 44
CECIL - Patty L. Simpson, 44, died at 8:41 p.m. (EDT) Tuesday, April 29, 2003, as the result of an automobile accident on the Paulding-Defiance County Line Road.
She was born July 31, 1958, in Miami, Fla., the daughter of Richard Cooper of Silver Springs, Fla., and Billie (Moore) Cooper Williams of Chandler, Ariz. On Dec. 6, 2002, she married Roger L. Simpson, who survives in Cecil.
Mrs. Simpson was the sales manager and marketing director for the Montpelier Auto Auction of Montpelier.

Brothers - Richard and Randy Cooper, both of Bryan, James Spurlin of Fort Wayne, Ind., and David Moore of Delphos
Two grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Marie (Godsey) Viers, and a brother, John Spurlin Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. (EDT) Saturday at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding.
Calling hours are 3-9 p.m. (EDT) today and 8 a.m. (EDT) until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Angela Marie Viers
Died: Tuesday, April 29, 2003
Age: 17
CECIL - Angela Marie (Godsey) Viers, 17, died at 8:41 p.m. (EDT) Tuesday, April 29, 2003, as the result of an automobile accident on the Paulding-Defiance County Line Road.
She was born March 23, 1986, in Bryan, the daughter of Roger Simpson of Cecil and the late Patty (Cooper) Simpson.
Miss Viers was a junior at Vantage Career Center, Van Wert, specializing in childhood development.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George W. and Betty E. (Barlow) Simpson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. (EDT) Saturday at the Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding.

Loretta Wilhemena Winscott

Age: 87
ROCKFORD - Loretta Wilhemena Winscott, 87, of Rockford died at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2003, at Celina Manor, Celina.
She was born Dec. 20, 1915, in Dearborn County, Ind., the daughter of the late Roy and Alta M. (Gugel) Glardon. On Dec. 14, 1935, she married Willard Winscott, who preceded her in death on June 16, 1979.
Mrs. Winscott was homemaker.
Survivors include:
Daughters - Judith (Brian) Mahon of Bradenton, Fla., Mary (John) Garrett of Columbus and Marcia Winscott of Rockford
Sister -- Rosella (Luther) Welch of Bloomfield, Ind.
Four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
Graveside services for family and friends will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Riverside Cemetery, the Rev. Michael Berne officiating.
Elmer Brandon
Died: Monday, April 28, 2003
Age: 87
CELINA - Elmer Brandon, 87, of Celina died at 7:45 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2003, at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born Aug. 7, 1915, the son of the late J. Van and Mary S. "Molly" Cook Brandon. On July 15, 1939, he married Esther L. Eichenauer, who preceded him in death on Sept. 17, 1989.
Mr. Brandon retired from New Idea on May 1, 1981.
He was a member of Beaver Chapel Congregational Christian Church and Durbin Bean Bake. He enjoyed woodcrafts, gardening and camping at Amishville.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Gene) Miller of Van Wert and Rita (Dave) Suhr of Celina; three in-laws, Sally Eichenauer of Celina, H. Stanley (Shomey) Eichenauer of Dayton and Carolyn Brandon; four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Olen and Dale Brandon.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Beaver Chapel Congregational Christian Church, the Rev. Verl Baumer officiating. Burial will be in Swamp College Cemetery.
Calling hours are 3-8 p.m. Friday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
Memorials are to the Fairground Long Range Planning Community or Darke Mercer County Hospice.
Mary Arlene Foust
Died: Monday, April 28, 2003
Age: 81
SCOTT - Mary Arlene Foust, 81, of Scott died at 6:43 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert.
She was born Dec. 28, 1921, in Paulding County, the daughter of the late Virn F. and Bertha I. (Hoover) Sanderson. On Sept. 1, 1940, she married Delmar D. Foust, who preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 1991.
Mrs. Foust worked for many years at Dana Weatherhead in Antwerp. She was a member of Country Chapel United Methodist Church, Haviland, and the Women's Society of the church. She enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include three sons, Cecil (Brenda) Foust of Convoy, Jean W. (Judy) Foust of Van Wert and Jerry W. (Marylin) Foust of Venedocia; two daughters, Rosemary (Dan) Todd of Atlanta, Ga., and Cheryll (Louis) Miller of Defiance; 10 grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; eight great-grandchildren, and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home. Burial will be in Blue Creek Cemetery, Haviland.
Calling hours with family present will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are the church elevator fund.
Mary H. Geis

Age: 83
MONROEVILLE, Ind. - Mary H. Geis, 83, of Monroeville, formerly of Convoy, died at 1:50 a.m. (Indiana time) Monday, April 28, 2003, at Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind. She had been in failing health for the past 3 years.
She was born Dec. 24, 1919, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Joshua and Lola (Fulton) Feasby. On Aug. 8, 1959, in Fort Wayne, she married Bernard Geis, who preceded her in death on May 9, 1984.
Mrs. Geis was a homemaker. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary 420 in Monroeville and graduated from Convoy High School in 1937.
Survivors include one son, James W. (Kay) Gibson of Convoy; a daughter, Marlene J. (Keith) Pierce of Monroeville; one brother, Robert E. Feasby of Fort Wayne, Ind., a sister, Lois I. (Francis) Baker of Convoy; seven grandsons, 12 great-grandsons, and two great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Feasby.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. (Indiana time) Thursday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, the Revs. Rick Borgman and Steve Waterman officiating. Burial will be in Monroeville Memorial Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. (Indiana time) Wednesday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are Allen County Council on Aging or donor's choice
Lester Grant
Died: Monday, December 16, 2002
Age: 79
A memorial will be held May 10 at 10:30 a.m. for Lester Grant of Continental.
Mr. Grant, 79, died Dec. 16, 2002, in Palmetto, Fla.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Helen Wollam Grant; sons, James (Karen) Grant of Van Wert and Steve (Nancy) Grant of Continental; brothers, Gary and Gerald, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A
military service will be conducted at Continental United Methodist Church, North Main St., Continental.
Lunch will be served by the ladies of the church following the memorial service.
