Robert Wesley Cloud Jr

LIMA - Robert Wesley "Rock" Cloud Jr., 57, died at 9:42 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at Lima Memorial Hospital, Lima.
He was born June 10, 1945, in Lima, the son of the late Robert Wesley Cloud Sr. and Mary Louise Walker Cloud. On March 22, 1979, he married Doris Ann Thompson, who survives in Lima.
Mr. Cloud, a U.S. Army veteran, worked at General Dynamics as a grinder for over 24 years.

Sons - Trent L. Cloud of Van Wert, Quinton A. (Cynthia) Cloud, Robert W. Cloud III and Frederick E. Cloud, all of Lima
Daughters - Shameeka N. Cloud and Roberta W. Cloud, both of Lima
Brothers - Albert (Mary) Stewart of St. Paul, Minn., John L. (Faye) Cloud of Lima and Clarence E. (Lisa) Cloud of Albertville, Minn
Sixteen grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara L. Cloud.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Lima, the Rev. James Gladden officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Calling hours are 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the family present from 6-8 p.m.
Marie M. Fuelling
Died: Wednesday, May 07, 2003
Age: 94
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Marie M. Fuelling, 94, a longtime resident of Union Township, died at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at Adams County Memorial Hospital, Decatur, Ind., following a brief illness.
She was born Sept. 26, 1908, in Mercer County, the daughter of the late Phillip and Leona Schumm. On Nov. 9, 1939, in Schumm, she married Erwin Fueling, who preceded her in death on Aug. 2, 1982.
Mrs. Fuelling was a homemaker.
Survivors include:
Son - David E. Fuelling of rural Decatur
Sisters - Emma Boerger of rural Decatur, Velma Schumm of rural Willshire and Kate (Arthur) Bischoff of Tempe, Ariz.
Three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Dawn Michelle Fuelling.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. (Indiana time) Friday at St. Peter Lutheran Church in rural Adams County, Ind., the Rev. Martin Moehring officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Calling hours are noon to 1:30 p.m. (Indiana time) Friday at the church.

Chester L. Fegley

Age: 87
Chester L. "Chet" Fegley, 87, went to be with the Lord at 6:20 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 19, 1916, in Harrison Township, Van Wert County, the son of the late Orlando Cremean and Fannie E. (Kiracofe) Fegley. On May 11, 1941, he married Lois A. Abbott, who survives.
Mr. Fegley was a lifetime Harrison Township farmer. A 1934 graduate of Wren High School, he was a member of Calvary Evangelical Church in Van Wert, Friendship Sunday School Class, the JOY Class of the First Nazarene Church in Winter Haven, Fla., and Van Wert Camp of Gideons International.
Other survivors include four sons, Richard (Karen) Fegley of rural Ohio City, Floyd (Mary Jane) Fegley of Fort Wayne, Ind., Dennis (Debra) Fegley of Van Wert and Dwight (Vicki) Fegley of Pasa Robles, Calif.; three daughters, Nancy Gibson of Fort Wayne, Barbara (Winston Blenckstone) Fegley of Baltimore, Md., and Joan (Craig) Ford of Saginaw, Mich.; one brother, Carl Fegley of Convoy; a son-in-law, Steven Bredemeyer of Fort Wayne; 14 grandchildren, Greg and Andrew Kintz, Jason Ford, Rachel Joy, Bethany Fegley, Erin Ford, Mike, Chris, Jennifer, James Dayna, Kenneth and Stephanie Fegley and Dwan Pinamonti, and 11 great-grandchildren, Ausha, Kalyn, Austin and Audrey Kintz, Seth and Nathan Joy, Zane and Faith Fegley and Jacqueline and Quinn Murphy.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jane Bredemeyer, and a granddaughter, Katie Rebekah Fegley.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Evangelical Church, Van Wert, the Rev. Raymond E. Feeck officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert, and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
Preferred memorials are Gideons International, Community Health Professionals Hospice or Calvary Missions at Calvary Evangelical Church.
John Marshall Baker

Age: 70
HAVILAND - John Marshall Baker, 70, died at 5:35 p.m. (EDT) Tuesday, May 6, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert.
He was born Sept. 14, 1932, in Haviland, the son of the late Elmer and Thelma (Rodman) Baker. On Feb. 18, 1951, he married Clarice Jean Bell, who survives.
Mr. Baker retired from LaFarge Corp. in Paulding after 37 years of employment.

Brothers - Glen (Joyce) Baker of Haviland and Elmer (Cheryl) Baker Jr. of Payne
Sisters - Erma Pratt, Carolyn Goins, Tonnie (George) Searfoss and Rose Marie Maples, all of Haviland, and Joann (Roger) Barker of Defiance and Nellie (Jerry) Hartman of Van Wert
Four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and other family members, Cathy and Jeff Gerdes, Craig Gerdes and Christa Gerdes of Wichita, Kan., also survive.
He was preceded in death by a son, John Daniel Baker.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. (EDT) Saturday at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding. Burial will be in Blue Creek Cemetery, Haviland.
Calling hours are 4-8 p.m. (EDT) Friday and 8 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Pearl William Amweg

Age: 75
Pearl William "Bill" Amweg, 75, of Van Wert died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2003, at Houston Northwest Medical Center, Houston, Texas .
He was born April 15, 1928, in Ohio City, the son of the late Pearl William and Margaret (Riley) Amweg. On Dec. 13, 1960, he married Shinko Takahasi, who preceded him in death on Jan. 2, 2000.
Mr. Amweg retired from the U.S. Navy, having served as a gunner's mate.
Survivors include two daughters, JoAnn Amweg of Dayton and Pamela (Michael) Merritt of Houston; a sister, Bertha Rogers of Kenton, and two grandchildren, Jordan and Zachary Merritt.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Daniel Hamilton Amweg, James Amweg Sr., Delbert Glenn Amweg, Norman Robert Amweg and Raymond Donald Amweg, and one sister, Elenora Culley.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert, the Rev. Sandy Hildebrand of Decatur Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ohio City, with
military graveside honors conducted by Harvey Lewis Post 346, American Legion.
Calling hours are 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
R. Michael Shinabery
Died: Tuesday, May 06, 2003
Age: 55
R. Michael Shinabery, 55, of Van Wert died at 3 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2003, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 12, 1948, in St. Marys, the son of Sally (Sink) Shinabery, who survives, and the late Robert Shinabery. On Jan. 14, 1990, he married Barbara Killion, who survives.
Mr. Shinabery retired from Chrysler Corp., Perrysburg. He was a member of Van Wert Elks Lodge, Van Wert Moose Lodge, the Eagles Aerie in Rockford, Sons of the American Legion in Van Wert and a social member of the Van Wert post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Other survivors include his son, Douglas (Kelly) Shinabery of Monroeville, Ind.; two stepdaughters, Tracey Lautzenheiser of Rockford and Dawn Taylor of Van Wert; one brother, David (Claudette) Shinabery of Newark; five sisters, Jan (Mike) Beougher of Venedocia, Cathie Bellar of Springboro, Bobbie Poe of Payne, Jill (Bob) Hufford of Van Wert and Nikki (James) Fields of Harold, Ky., and six grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert, the Rev. Paul Miller officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Preferred memorial is Community Health Professionals Hospice Program.
