Francis J. Siefker

LIMA — Francis J. Siefker, 46, of Lima died early Sunday afternoon, Aug. 3, 2003, at her residence.
She was born May 18, 1957, in Lima, the daughter of the late Carey and Evelyn (Burkholder) Hawk. On July 6, 1978, she married Steven L. Siefker, who survives in Lima.
Mrs. Siefker was a homemaker.
Survivors include:
Sisters — Margaret (Les) Wince of Lima and Ella "Deanie" Hawk of Kenton
Brothers — Carey (Marie) Hawk of Ada, Cleadous (Jeanella) Hawk of Lima and Greg (Teresa) Hawk of Waynesfield
Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel, Delphos, the Rev. Harry Tolhurst officiating.
Private visitation is planned.
Esther Margaret Beldon
Died: Sunday, August 03, 2003
Age: 90
Esther Margaret Beldon, 90, of rural Van Wert died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003, at Vancrest Health Care Center, Van Wert.
She was born Aug. 16, 1912, in Harrison Township, Van Wert County, the daughter of the late David and Emma (Feigert) Schaadt. On Dec. 29, 1940, she married Milan Paul Beldon, who preceded her in death on April 17, 1983.
Mrs. Beldon was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Van Wert and the Women’s Guild of the church.
Survivors include a son, James (Elizabeth) Beldon of Mishawaka, Ind.; one daughter, Beth Ann (Ron) Rase of rural Van Wert; five grandchildren, James (Egina) Beldon, Judy (Dave) Feldman, Jessica (Andrew) Hackett, Ryan (Jamie) Rase and Kyle Rase, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond David Schaadt, and a sister, Ida Emma Bowen.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Harrison Township, the Rev. Kenyon Kaehr officiating. Burial will be in Evangelical Protestant Cemetery in Harrison Township.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert, and an hour prior to services Friday at the church.
Preferred memorial is St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.
Grace Anna McClure
Died: Saturday, August 02, 2003
Grace Anna McClure was stillborn Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert.
Grace was the daughter of Lucas C. and Jennifer J. (Gamble) McClure, who survive in Van Wert.

Private family services were held with the Rev. Thomas Gorman officiating. Burial was in Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point.
Arrangements were handled by Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert.
Jill Marie Montooth Lloyd Nichols
Died: Thursday, August 07, 2003
Age: 40
LIMA — Jill Marie Montooth Lloyd Nichols, 40, of Lima died at 9:28 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
She was born Dec. 23, 1962, in Lima, the daughter of Donald and Darlene (Roberts) Montooth of Elida. On July 3, 2002, she married Dean L. Nichols, who survives in Lima. She was previously married to Scott Lloyd.
Mrs. Nichols worked as a truck driver at Graybar of Lima, formerly worked maintenance at Bluffton College.

Mother- and father-in-law — Don and Carol Nichols of Elida
One grandchild, Caleb Woten, also survives.
She was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Howard Montooth and Floyd Roberts.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel, Delphos, the Rev. Holman officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Calling hours are 6-9 p.m. Sunday and 2-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Herman D. Dinger
Died: Thursday, August 07, 2003
Age: 80
PAYNE — Herman D. Dinger, 80, of Payne, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born Jan. 2, 1923, in Payne, the son of the late Charles and Leona (Lehman) Dinger. On May 3, 1975, he married Myrtle Frieburger, who survives.
Mr. Diner, a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II, retired from Panhandle Eastern in Monroeville, Ind.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Payne Church of Christ, Payne, Richard Phelan officiating. Burial will be in Wiltsie Cemetery, Payne, with
military graveside rites conducted by American Legion Post 297, Payne.

Wanda Clapp Schneider
Died: Wednesday, August 06, 2003
Age: 74
DELPHOS — Wanda Clapp Schneider, 74, of Delphos died at 1:35 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003, at Lima Manor, Lima.
She was born Nov. 29, 1928, in Versailles, the daughter of the late Forrest and Mary Alice (Biddle) Brown. On May 22, 1946, she married Marion "Bill" Clapp, who preceded her in death. On July 5, 1975, she married Larry Schneider, who also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Schneider was a homemaker. She owned and operated an antique store in Florida for many years, owned Cameo Dress Shop and worked at various retail stores.
Survivors include:
Son — Stephan (Peggie) Clapp of Middleton, Tenn.
Daughters — Cathy (George) Abbott of Nevada, Ohio, Pamela Moore and Marsha (Rick) Newland, both of Lima, and Vickie (Jeff) Kleman of Fort Jennings
Twelve grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel, Delphos, the Rev. Jim Loughrin officiating. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.

Anthony Benjamin Nieto
Died: Wednesday, August 06, 2003
Age: 41
OHIO CITY — Anthony Benjamin Nieto, 41, of Ohio City died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003, at his residence.
He was born May 10, 1962, in Van Wert, the son of Joe Nieto of Ohio City and the late Margaret (Barrientos) Nieto, who died May 8, 2002.
Mr. Nieto had served in the U.S. Army from 1976-82. He attended St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Van Wert.
Other survivors include a daughter, Jenna Nieto of Lima; one son, Jonathan Nieto, also of Lima; three sisters, Delores Myers of Elida, Angela Lewis of Van Wert and Juanita Joseph of Ohio City; one brother, Joe Nieto of Lima; two nieces; two nephews; five great nephews, and two great nieces.
A memorial mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery with
military graveside rites performed by the combined honors unit of American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803.
There will be no visitation.
Earl E. Good
Died: Tuesday, August 05, 2003
Age: 75
ELIDA — Earl E. Good, 75, of Pineville, La., formerly of Elida, died at 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003, at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born Nov. 20, 1927, in Elida, the son of the late Noah and Clara Good. He had been married to Elsie Focht, who survives in Bellefontaine. On July 21, 1970, he married Joanna Ackerman Contris, who survives.
Mr. Good owned Mid-City Service, Alexandria, La. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving two years.

Sons — Carl R. (Debra) Good of Bellefontaine, Edwin L. Good of Lima, William E. (Joella) Good of Galion and Earl Dean (Mary) Good of Spencerville
Daughters — Marcie A. Humphreys of Elida and Robin L. Klapp of Lima
Ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel, Delphos. Burial will be in Sharon Mennonite Cemetery.
