Graydon Leroy Dougal

SUMTER, S.C. — Graydon Leroy "Grady" Dougal, 86, husband of the late Lillian M. Conley Dougal, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Van Wert, the son of the late Ira and Cora L. (Beavo) Dougal.
Mr. Dougal served as a U.S. Army sergeant during World War II.
Survivors include:
Stepson — Robert S. "Bob" Conley of Sumter
Stepdaughter — Mary (Richard Sr.) Pollock of Sumter
Sister — Ursula J. Mohr of Van Wert
Six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel, Sumter, the Rev. Ellison Evans officiating. Burial will be held in Van Wert at a later date.
Calling hours were Monday at the funeral home.
Jill Marie Montooth Lloyd Nichols

Age: 40
LIMA — Jill Marie Montooth Lloyd Nichols, 40, of Lima died at 9:28 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
She was born Dec. 23, 1962, in Lima, the daughter of Donald and Darlene (Roberts) Montooth of Elida. On July 3, 2002, she married Dean L. Nichols, who survives in Lima. She was previously married to Scott Lloyd.
Mrs. Nichols worked as a truck driver at Graybar of Lima, formerly worked maintenance at Bluffton College.

Daughters — Ashley Nicole Lloyd Woten of Lima and Hillary Megan Lloyd at home
Sister — Tami (Fred) Augsburger of Lima
Brother — Jamie Montooth of Oak Harbor
Grandmothers — Beulah Montooth of Lima and Marylena Roberts of Gomer
Mother- and father-in-law — Don and Carol Nichols of Elida
One grandchild, Caleb Woten, also survives.
She was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Howard Montooth and Floyd Roberts.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel, Delphos, the Rev. Holman officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Calling hours are 6-9 p.m. Sunday and 2-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Herman D. Dinger

Age: 80
PAYNE — Herman D. Dinger, 80, of Payne, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born Jan. 2, 1923, in Payne, the son of the late Charles and Leona (Lehman) Dinger. On May 3, 1975, he married Myrtle Frieburger, who survives.
Mr. Diner, a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II, retired from Panhandle Eastern in Monroeville, Ind.

Daughters — Karen Krouse of Fort Wayne and Diane Gordon of Payne
Brother — Paul Dinger of Payne
Sister — Nancy Kreager of Genoa
Fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Payne Church of Christ, Payne, Richard Phelan officiating. Burial will be in Wiltsie Cemetery, Payne, with
military graveside rites conducted by American Legion Post 297, Payne.
Calling hours are after 3 p.m. Sunday at Slade Funeral Home, Payne.
Wanda Clapp Schneider
Died: Wednesday, August 06, 2003
Age: 74
DELPHOS — Wanda Clapp Schneider, 74, of Delphos died at 1:35 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003, at Lima Manor, Lima.
She was born Nov. 29, 1928, in Versailles, the daughter of the late Forrest and Mary Alice (Biddle) Brown. On May 22, 1946, she married Marion "Bill" Clapp, who preceded her in death. On July 5, 1975, she married Larry Schneider, who also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Schneider was a homemaker. She owned and operated an antique store in Florida for many years, owned Cameo Dress Shop and worked at various retail stores.
Survivors include:
Son — Stephan (Peggie) Clapp of Middleton, Tenn.
Daughters — Cathy (George) Abbott of Nevada, Ohio, Pamela Moore and Marsha (Rick) Newland, both of Lima, and Vickie (Jeff) Kleman of Fort Jennings
Twelve grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel, Delphos, the Rev. Jim Loughrin officiating. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Anthony Benjamin Nieto
Died: Wednesday, August 06, 2003
Age: 41
OHIO CITY — Anthony Benjamin Nieto, 41, of Ohio City died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003, at his residence.
He was born May 10, 1962, in Van Wert, the son of Joe Nieto of Ohio City and the late Margaret (Barrientos) Nieto, who died May 8, 2002.
Mr. Nieto had served in the U.S. Army from 1976-82. He attended St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Van Wert.
Other survivors include a daughter, Jenna Nieto of Lima; one son, Jonathan Nieto, also of Lima; three sisters, Delores Myers of Elida, Angela Lewis of Van Wert and Juanita Joseph of Ohio City; one brother, Joe Nieto of Lima; two nieces; two nephews; five great nephews, and two great nieces.
A memorial mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery with
military graveside rites performed by the combined honors unit of American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803.
There will be no visitation.
