He was born April 22, 1923 in Colbert County, Alabama; the son of Sylvester & Lula (Jordan) Reynolds. He married Luvina Mullins on Dec. 19, 1953 in Lawrenceburg, IN.
Mr. Reynolds is survived by is wife Luvina Reynolds, children Paul (Linda) Reynolds of Ellerslie, GA; Sharon (Robert) Hall of Bright, IN; Mary (George) Adkins of Patriot, IN; Lou Ann (Gary) Grizzle of Ashland, KY; Rebecca (Stacy) Johnson of Brookville, IN and Buddy (Anna) Reynolds, Jr. of Ross, OH; grandchildren B.J. Hall, George, Sue & William Adkins, Renee Grizzle, Rachel & Andrew West; great grandchildren Matthew, Bradley, Brooklynn & Shaelynn Adkins; brothers Mac Reynolds of Arkansas & Billie Reynolds of Alabama and sisters Esther Romans of Alabama, Evelyn Rogers of Arkansas & Elma Bridges of Dayton, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Thomas W. Reynolds.
Mr. Reynolds was a self employed steel/iron worker.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 13, 2004 from 6 – 8 PM at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. Funeral Services will be Monday, June 14, 2004 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor James Hundley officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery, Harrison, OH. Memorials are suggested to Children’s Hospital or SPCA.

Ruth S. Nutter (nee Smith), 73 years, of Harrison, OH passed away Friday, June 11, 2004 at Three Rivers Nursing Home in Cincinnati, OH.
She was born October 28, 1930 in West Union, WV the daughter of Ray & Edith (Weekly) Smith. She married Eli Nutter who preceded her in death on Dec. 22, 1993.
Mrs. Nutter is survived by her daughter Mary (Larry) Burgess of North Bend, OH and son Terry (Carolyn Beckett) Nutter of Harrison, OH; grandchildren Michael Self, Sean Self & April Nutter; great grandchildren Laura Lynn, Shannon & Robert; sister Marie Knapp of New Hampshire and dearest friend Ardwin Hogg. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings Hoover, Mary Jane & Carolyn Smith.
She had owned a ceramic shop and was a member of the Miami Whitewater United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be Wed. June 16, 2004 from 6 – 8 PM at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. Funeral Services will be Thurs. at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Cincinnati c/o the funeral home.

Nancy Ann Maher (nee Uebel), age 69 years of Highlands of Ft. Thomas, formerly of Harrison, OH passed away Monday, June 14, 2004 at her home.
Born April 8, 1935 in Ross, KY the daughter of Raymond J. & Alma B. (Fender) Uebel. She married Michael J. Maher on April 30, 1955 and her preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 1995. She was formerly employed at Campbell Hausfeld and was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Harrison, OH.
Mrs. Maher is survived by her sons Steven M. (Debbie) Maher of Harrison, OH; Gregory M. Maher of Orlando, FL & the late David M. (Cathy) Maher of Harrison, OH; sisters Beatrice Kreyling of Knoxville, TN; Phyllis Schmidt of Covington, KY and Susan Uebel of Ross, KY and brothers Joseph Uebel of Dayton, OH and the late Donald Uebel and 4 grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 7:30 PM at St. John the Baptist Church in Harrison, OH with Fr. Edward Shine officiating. Visitation will be Thurs. from 5 – 7 PM at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. Burial will be St. John Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to American Lung Assoc.

Ellafair Elkins (nee Calhoun), age 87 years, of Harrison, OH passed away Monday, June 21, 2004 at her home.
Born June 26, 1916 in Breathit County, KY the daughter of Dalton & Diana (Hensley) Calhoun. She married Winston Elkins in 1933 in Breathit Co., KY and he preceded her in death in 1988.
She is survived by her daughter Mildred Whitney of Harrison, OH and son James Winston Elkins of Middletown, OH; sister Martha Kaczor of Middletown, OH; grandchildren Pamela Kaufhold, Mark C. Jeffery, Kimberly J. Wolfert, Richard A. Elkins, Karen D. Stump, Danny C. Elkins, Deborah E. Blevins, Michael S. Elkins, Scott Elkins, Timothy Elkins, Joseph D. Elkins and Jessie J. Elkins and many great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her sisters Maggie South, Della Bach, Rachel Coldwell and Marie Barrett and brothers Clayton Calhoun and Hiram Calhoun.
Mrs. Elkins was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church in Harrison, OH.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 24, 2004 from 5 – 7 PM followed by services at 7pm all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Bro. Ronnie Wolfe officiating. Burial will be Friday at 12:00 PM at the Back Family Cemetery in Frenchburg, KY. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church.

George Aaron Steelman, Sr. age 81 years of Harrison, OH passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at his home. Born August 19, 1922 in Addyston, OH the son of Aaron & Maude (Yochum) Steelman.
Mr. Steelman is survived by his wife LaVonne (Damron) Steelman, children Lana (Rick) Stapp and George (Mary) Steelman both of Harrison, OH; Dennis (Linda) Steelman of Cincinnati, OH; Sandra (Tom) Fohl of Ross, OH and Scott (Angie) Steelman of Round Rock, TX; sisters Mary Jan Grahm, Melda McDaniel, Sherry Peak and brother Gerald Steelman; grandchildren Jeff Dole, Aaron Steelman, Katie Steelman, Emily Stapp, Jennie Steelman, Devon Steelman, Christian Fohl, Bethany Fohl, Betsy Stapp & Patrick Fohl. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by is sisters Hazel Loos & Audrey Yost and brother Glenn Steelman.
He worked as a pipe fitter for Local 392 for over 50 years, was a US Army Air Corp Veteran during WWII, member of First Presbyterian Church in Harrison, Charter member of VFW Post #6428 in Addyston, OH; member of F&AM; Constellation-Edison Park Lodge #974; Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati; Syrian Temple of Cincinnati and Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest #171.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 26, 2004 at 10:30 AM at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Military Graveside Rites by the Harrison American Legion & VFW at Glen Haven Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6 – 8 PM with Masonic & Scottish Rite Services at 8:00 PM. Rev. Dr. Harold Shackelford will be officiating. Memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church Building Fund.

Bethuma 'Pete' Louise Streit, age 87 of Harrison, OH, died July 7, 2004 at the Waters of Batesville. Born July 7, 1917 in Latonia, KY to John and Wilhelmina (Wolsing) Jolly. She was an active club leader in the Hamilton County 4-H, the Harrison Modern Homemakers Extension, Hamilton County PTA, charter member of the Harrison Village Historical Society and a member of the Red Poll Cattle Assoc. She was also a member of St. John the Baptist Church and St. John Church Ladies Sodality.
She married Joseph Fredrick Streit Jr. at St. James Priest Home in White Oak on November 21, 1940 and he died on July 28, 1998. Survivors include three daughters, JoAnn (Charles) Koch, of Brookville, IN, Carolyn Roehrig of Harrison, Joyce (Francis) Lake of Cedar Grove, IN; two sons, Joseph Streit III, of Clyde, KS and Gustave (Gail) Streit of Oldenburg, IN; thirteen grandchildren, Jeffery, Nicholas & Kathleen Koch, Eve Wadsworth, Anna Roehrig, Matthew and Nathan Lake, Julia Collins, Dennis, Jason and Zachary Streit, Thomas and Brian Streit, and the late Aaron Loos; also seven great grandchildren, and one sister, the late Alberta Reinhardt.
Visitation Friday 6-8pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, July 10, 2004 at 10:00am, St. John the Baptist Church, Harrison, OH.
Father Edward Shine, officiating with burial to follow in the Miamitown Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Rita's School or St. John the Baptist Building Fund.

Bertha Olive Edwards, age 73 years of North Bend, OH passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at her home in North Bend.
Born August 11, 1930 in Harrison, OH; the daughter of Benjamin & Pearl May (Honeycutt) Ballard. She married Raymond Leroy Edwards on June 25, 1955 and her preceded her in death in 1981.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by her sons Ray Leroy Jr. (Vicki) Edwards of Harrison, OH and Tim (Debbie) Edwards of North Bend, OH. She will also be missed by her 7 grandchildren and siblings Eva Mae Doerflein of Connersville, IN; Dorothy L. Smith of Cincinnati, OH; Delores DeNardis of Florida, Jack Ballard of North Bend, OH; Robert Ballard of Michigan, Wilbur Ballard of Florida and Myrtle Weiskittel of Florida. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son Ralph Edwards and siblings Betty Jean Bowman, Frank & Donald Ballard, Blanche Copeland and Herbert Ballard.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW & American Legion. She worked as a supervisor in shipping at Finn-Jaske and also from K-Mart as a cashier retiring in 2001.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, August 7, 2004; 10:00 AM at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Rev. Dr. Harold Shackelford officiating. Visitation will be Friday, August 6, 2004 from 5 – 8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elizabethtown Cemetery in Elizabethtown, OH. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Cincinnati.
