She was born April 11, 1953 in Frankfort, IN; the daughter of Jim & Alice (Nichols) Jefferies. She married Ron Gunther, Sr. on April 1972 in Kentucky and he survives.
She is also survived by her son Ron (Lauren) Gunther, Jr. of Camp Lejeune, NC and daughter Nicole (Christopher) Clark of Harrison, OH; grandchildren Erica Gunther, Dallas Clark & Kyle Clark
Mrs. Gunther worked as a waitress at Ron’s Roost.
Visitation will be Friday, March 12 from 6 – 8 PM followed by services at 8:00 PM all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Rev. Dr. Harold Shackelford officiating.
Harold Lloyd Smith

Harold Lloyd Smith, age 65 years of Okeana, OH passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2004 in Hamilton, OH.
He was born February 19, 1939 in Harrison, OH; the son of David & Beatrice (Blankenship) Smith. He married Rebecca Woods on October 15, 1960.
He is survived by his wife Rebecca Smith, daughters Jodie (Michael) Schrader of Fairfield, OH; Amy (Mark) Sauerland of Harrison, OH and Holly (Michael) Myers of Okeana, OH; grandchildren Brandon, Nicholas, Brandi, Amanda, Jessica, Christina, Noah & Carolyn; brothers Ralph (Louanna) Smith, Charles (Gerri) Smith and Joe (Opal) Crank and sister Juanita Souders. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother James (Pearl) Crank and sister Virginia Lee Smith.
Mr. Smith worked for Ohio Blue Print contracted through Clipper Courier and before that he worked for Avon for 29 years. He graduated in 1958 from Harrison High School, was a US Army Veteran during the Vietnam Era, was a member & elder of the Macedonia Christian Church, past Master of Harry S. Johnson Lodge, past High Priest Cumminsville Chapter #158; past District Deputy of the Grand High Priest Royal Arch Masons of Ohio; member of the Cincinnati Council #1; Cincinnati Commandry #3; Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati; Allied Masonic AMP; secretary Cumminsville Chapter 158 and past President of the 4th District Royal Arch Association.
Funeral Services will be Monday, March 15, 2004 at 10:00 AM at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Pastor Jerold Jensen officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 – 6 PM with Masonic services at 5:30 PM. Burial will be in Glen Haven Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites by the VFW & American Legion Funeral Detail. Memorial gifts are suggested to Macedonia Christian Church, American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.

Lora Thomas, age 95 years of Okeana, OH passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at her home.
She was born November 3, 1908 in Whitesburg, KY; the daughter of Jesse & Sara (Miller) Adams. She is survived by her daughters Ilene (James) Fischer and Linda Koons both of Okeana, OH. She will also be missed by her 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband McKinley Cornett and her second husband Ira Thomas; children Lillian Lucan, Harold Cornett & Willis Cornett; siblings Mallie Seals, Martha Mitchell, J.D. Adams, Harvey Ison, Grant Ison & George Adams.
Mrs. Thomas retired from the Seagrams Bottling Company after 25 years.
Funeral Services will be Friday, March 19, 2004 at 1:00 PM at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH with Bro. Ronnie Wolfe officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, March 18, 2005 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Old Baptist Cemetery in Harrison, OH.

Ruth Little, age 83 of Dayton, OH passed away Sunday, March 21, 2004 at Americare Nursing Home in Liberty, IN.
She was born June 10, 1920 in Daysboro, KY; the daughter of Woodson & Julia (Parks) Little.
Ms. Little is survived by several nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers Eric Little & Lawrence Little.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at 11:00 AM at College Corner Cemetery in College Corner, IN.

Lester E. Beal, age 78 years of Harrison, OH passed away Sunday, March 21, 2004 at University Hospital in Cincinnati, OH.
Born September 5, 1925 in Franklin County, IN. He married Florence Marie Dunaway. He was a member of Church of Christ at Harrison and Harrison VFW.
Mr. Beal is survived by his wife Florence Beal, children Gail (Keith) Offill of Okeana, OH; Billy (Liz) Beal of Elizabethtown, OH; Rick (Jackie) Beal of Colrain Twp., OH and Gary Johnson of Harrison, OH; brothers Ralph, Shelby & Jack Beal; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his grandson Troy Offill and sister Norma Beal.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 24, 2004 from 9:00 – 11:00 AM followed by services at 11:00 AM all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. with Minister Mark Fugate officiating. He was born November 30, 1919 in Rockbridge Co., VA; the son of Arthur Reid & Maggie (Duncan) Crist. He is survived by his children Bonnie Everman of Harrison, OH; David Crist of Ft. Leonardwood, MO; Dennis Crist of Milan, IN and Darryl Crist of Amelia, OH; ex-wife Patricia Sahovey; stepchildren: Valeria Fultz of Harrison, OH & Adam Houze of Harrison, OH; grandchildren Ryan Everman, Brandon Everman, Dakota Crist & Jonathon Crist; brothers William Crist & Arthur Crist; sisters Helen Dale; Catherine Nelson; Dorothy Camden; Louise Baber; Lula Mae Deardorff; Betty Ann Akers & the late Isabell Swisher & Margaret Lee Crist.
Mr. Crist was a self employed carpenter.
