A Memorial Service will be held on Wed February 9th at 11:00am at St. Thomas Lutheran Church, 21211 Detroit Avenue, Rocky River. Contributions are being asked for in his memory to St. Thomas Lutheran Church. Mr. Griesbach was a mechanical engineer dealing with heat treating equipment. He was also a veteran of WWII with the United States Navy.

HOPE WAS BORN AND RAISED IN LORAIN OHIO. THROUGH A JOB AT LORAIN TELEPHONE COMPANY SHE MEET CHESTER J. HAGEMAN, WHOM SHE MARRIED IN JANUARY 1946. THEIR UNION LED TO THE BIRTHS OF DAUGHTERS HOLLY AND CINDY. HOPE WAS AN EXTREMELY ACTIVE AND INVOLVED PERSON WHEN IT CAME TO HER PASSIONS IN LIFE, HER FAMILY AND HER CLUB WORK. HOPE SERVED THE GENERAL FEDERATION OF WOMEN'S CLUBS (GFWC) OHIO FEDERATION OF WOMEN'S CLUBS (OFWC) IN MORE THAN 30 DIFFERENT CAPACITIES SINCE 1943. SHE SERVED AS OHIO FEDERATION DIRECTOR OF JURIOR CLUBS (1952-1978) AND AS OFWC PRESIDENT (1976-1978). SHE CONTINUED WITHIN THE FEDERATION TO HOLD MANY CHAIRMANSHIPS AND SERVED GFWC COMMITTEES AMONG THESE POSITIONS, HOPE SERVED ON THE GFWC INTERNATIONAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR NINE ADMINISTRATIONS. PRIOR TO THIS SHE WAS THE INTERNATIONAL PRESIDENTS AIDE FOR JESSIE JUNE MAGEE, OHIO ONLY GFWC PRESIDENT. AT THE TIME OF HER DEATH, HOPE WAS OFWC CIRCULATION MANAGER FOR THE STATE MAGAZINE, THE BUCKEYE AND ON THE BYLAWS COMMITTEE. HOPE WAS A MENTOR TO OTHER CLUB WOMEN 'MOVING UP THROUGH THE CHAIRS' HER FELLOW CLUB MEMBERS WILL REMEMBER HER DEDICATION TENACITY, AND WISDOM IN GFWC AFFAIRS. GFWC/OFWC WILL MISS HER TREMENDOUSLY AT THE LOCAL DISTRICT AND REGIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL LEVELS. HOPE ALSO SERVED AS WESTERLY SCHOOL'S PTA TREASURE AND PRESIDENT, STARTING THE POPULAR HOT DOG DAY LUNCHES IN THE EARLY 1960'S. SHE WAS A BAY VILLAGE FRIEND OF THE LIBRARY. HER LOVE OF READING KEPT THE CIRCULATION DESK BUSY. SHE WAS A MEMBER OF THE BAY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH. SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER HUSBAND AND TWO DAUGHTERS ALSO BY HER GRANDDAUGHTER JENNIFER.
