Mr. Parsh was a veteran of US Navy, serving during the Cuban Missle Crisis on the USS Enterprise at Guantanomo Bay, Cuba. He was an active member of the Church of St. Mary, Chardon, being an usher and eucharistic minister. He was also active with the RCIA at St. Mary's Mr. Parsh enjoyed helping various churches with their fund-raising activities Avid Cleveland Browns fan, season ticket holder since he was 18 years of age. Also enjoyed the outdoors, taking his family camping, fishing and hunting. Graduate of Rhodes High School, Class of 1960. He is survived by his wife: Sharon E. Parsh of Chardon, OH 2 Son: David Thomas (Ann-Marie) Parsh of Lakewood, OH Daniel Francis (Jennifer) Parsh of Willoughby, OH 6 Grandchildren: Michael Emery, Alexandra, Michael Edward, James, Gary, and Edward. 1 Sister: Cheryl Scacco.

Services will be held at: Memorial service, 3:00 PM at the Deepwoods Pavilion of Big Creek Park, Geauga Park District, Hambden Twp.

He was Mr. Adventure, enjoying snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, 4 wheeling and archery. He was a member of the Euclid Hunting and Rifle Club, Thompson Snowmobile Club. Mr. Johnson enjoyed Trap and Skeet Shooting and a good cigar. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting. Ms. Ferlito enjoyed bowling and was active on a league in S. Euclid. George R. Simmons

Services will be held at: Memorial Service at the Geauga County Fair Grounds, Monday, July 21 at 2:00 PM
Visitation times are: Sunday, July 20, 1-4:00 and 6-9:00 PM at the Funeral Home
Red was elected Geauga County Sheriff in 1992, assuming office in Jamuary 1993. Previously he was the Assistant Public Defender for Geauga County. He had a private law practice in Burton with a primary emphasis on complex fraud litigation, especially government fraud. From 1984 to 1990 Sheriff Simmons was a Special Agent for the US Department of Defense, Defense Criminal Investigative Services. From 1978-1984 He was a Special Agent for the US Department of Labor, Organized Crime and Racketeering Section. From 1971-1978, He was a Special Agent for the US Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration. Prior to that, Sheriff Simmons was a Special Agent, Division of Criminal Activities, Ohio Attorney General in Columbus.Sheriff Simmons was a 1964 Graduate of Chagrin Falls High School, a 1971 Graduate of Kent State University and received his JD from Cleveland State University in 1986. Sheriff Simmons was a Certified Jail Manager, Certified Law Enforcement Manager, Certified Corrections Executive and Cainine Handler with partner "Star", just to name a few. He was a member of the Burton Congregational Church, Burton. Sheriff Simmons was an Amateur Radio operator since 1958. He was an active member and Past President of the Burton-Middlefield Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow. Sheriff Simmons was the co-founder of the Leprechaun Foundation in Cleveland in 1980. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, traveling and boating. He is survived by his wife, Carol (nee: Folk) Simmons of Burton, OH Sons: Cameron Simmons of Niles, OH Jonathan Chmielewski of Braceville, OH Mother: Lucille Simmons of Burton, OH Sisters: Linda (Jim) Russell of Newcomerstown, OH Karen Kolberg of Chardon, OH Grandchildren: Jonathan and Tiffany Family suggests donations to The Good News Jail & Prison Ministry, 36-Geauga County, OH, 2230 E. John Andrew Connor
Born: September 29, 1939
Died: December 02, 2003
Services: Saturday, December 6 at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home.
Visitation: Friday, Dec. 5, 2-4:00 and 7-9:00 PM and Saturday, 1 hour prior to the service.
He was a Veteran of the US Navy and a member of the American Legion Post of Delray Beach, FL and Aerie Eagles Post #2436 Chagrin Falls, OH Mr. Connor enjoyed being outdoors, boating and fishing. His greatest hobby was his work. He is survived by his loving wife: Madeline (nee: Matthews) Connor of Troy Twp., OH Step-sons: Jim (Amy) Matthews of Chardon, OH Dale Matthews of Lake Worth, FL Brothers: Jim and Joe Connor of Sacramento, CA. His first Wife: Joyce Connor Parents: James and Blance (La-Chapelle) Connor Step-son: John Connor Brother: Jerry Connor are deceased. Jack R. Eldredge, D.D.S.
Born: November 30, 1919
Died: November 29, 2003
Services: A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held Saturday, December 6, 2003 at Chardon United Methodist Church, 515 North Street, Chardon, OH. Dr. Rev. Henry Woodruff of the church and Pastor Robert D. Penrod of the Pilgrim Christian Church will both officiate at the service.
Visitation: Family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
Jack R. Eldredge, DDS, a lifelong resident of Chardon and family dentist in Chardon since 1950 died at Geauga Regional Hospital in Claridon Twp., Ohio on November 29, 2003. A graduate of Chardon High School, Class of 1938, he served his country in the US Army during WWII in the Pacific. He graduated from Western Reserve Dental School of Cleveland in 1950. He served on the Chardon Board of Education and had been a member and chairman of the cemetery Board of the Village of Chardon. In 1999, he was inducted in to the Chardon High School Alumni Hall of Fame. He was an active citizen of Chardon, serving on numerous committees to preserve the village atmosphere of Chardon. He enjoyed gardening, dancing, big band music, the family popcorn business and do-it-yourself projects. Dr. Eldredge is survived by his wife of 55 years, Priscilla (nee: Parsons); daughters, Laraine (John) Grillo of Streetsboro, OH and Karen (Tim) Eldredge of Columbus, OH; son, Marty Eldredge of Lakewood, OH; brother, Eugene Eldgredge of Salina, CA; grandchildren, Lisa, Scott and Kevin Grillo of Streetsboro, and Abigail Nypaver of Columbus, OH; and great granddaughter, Kaylee Krause of Streetsboro, OH. His parents, Mortimer and Alice (nee: Rowley) Eldredge; sisters, Polly Eldredge and Eunice Alvord, and brothers; Franklin, Cliff, Nelson, and Sherwood Eldredge are deceased. The family has suggested contributions be made to the Chardon Square Association, 115 Main Street, Chardon, OH 44024.

David E. Wells
Born: March 28, 1940
Died: November 30, 2003
Services: A FUNERAL SERVICE for Mr. Wells will be held Friday, December 5, at 11:00AM at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon. Pastor James Lane of Faith Baptist Church, Perry, Ohio will officiate. Burial will follow at Hambden cemetery in Hambden Twp.
Visitation: VISITATION: Thursday, December 4, from 2-4:00pm and 7-9:00pm at the funeral home.
David E. Wells, veteran of the US Army who served during the Vietnam War died on November 30, 2003 at University Hospitals of Cleveland. A resident of Hambden Twp. for 26 years coming from Bedford Hts., he was a maintenance Mechanic with CEI in Eastlake for 15 years after his forced retirement in 1998 from USX Steel at Cuyahoga Works where he was a steel worker for 25 years. Mr. Wells was strong in his faith and enjoyed reading his bible. He also had a love for baseball - watching games and collecting baseball cards. In his spare time he enjoyed working on the computer and woodworking. He took great pride in his grandchildren. Mr. Wells is survived by his wife, Diane (nee: Seiler) whom he married in New York City, August 22, 1970; son, Victor (Joan) Wells of Jamestown, PA; daughter Sherry (Mike) Yeckley of Hambden Twp.; grandchildren, Russell, Malory, Justin, Rachel, Emily, Sarah, and Jonathon David. His parents, Arthur and Elsie (nee: Bergstresser) Wells; and brother, Richard Wells are deceased.

Carl J. Castrovinci

Services: FUNERAL MASS Monday, May 17 at 10:00 AM at The Church of St. Mary, 401 North Street, Chardon.
Visitation: Sunday, May 16, 4-8:00 PM at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. (on St. Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon.
Mr. Castrovinci was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching the pros. He and his late wife enjoyed traveling through out the world. He is survived by his daughters Gloria (Joseph) Mondello and Lois (Donald) Eberwein, son William C. (Jo-Elaine) Castrovinci, grandchildren Gina Marie (Gary) McKee, Marci Ann (Bob) Mondello-Bulman, Gerald (Judy) Flanik, Alan (Irene) Flanik, Christopher Flanik, Anthony, Jeanine and Robert Castrovinci and Christy (Gene) Shrum, great grandchildren Keith, Chad, Grant, Jehrin, Brittani, Julie, Bailey and Brandon and special cousins Joe and Nicky Salemi. He was predeceased by his wife Mary L. (Quattrochi) Castrovinci, parents Biagio and Calogera (nee: Lupica) Castrovinci and brother Anthony B. Castrovinci.

Robert H. Sidbeck, Sr.

Died: September 20, 2004
Services: A Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday, September 23, 2004, at 12 noon, at Harbor United Methodist Church, 322 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula, OH.

Robert “Sid” Henry Sidbeck Sr., age 66, of Heather Hill Health Care in Chardon, OH, formerly of Saybrook Township, Ashtabula, died Monday, September 20, 2004, at Geauga Regional Hospital in Claridon Township, OH. Born September 21, 1937, in Ashtabula, OH, he was the son of Henry and Margaret (nee: Hensel) Sidbeck and a graduate of Harbor High School. He married Mary Lou McIntosh in Whiting Field, Florida, on June 7, 1957. He had worked as Yard Foreman for Valley Building in Geneva since 1987, retiring in 2001. A Veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served on the flight line at Lakehurst, NJ, and Whiting Field, FL. Mr. Sidbeck’s greatest joy was spending time with his wife and family. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou (nee: McIntosh) Sidbeck of Chardon; sons, Robert H. (Carmen) Sidbeck of Pembroke Pines, FL, and David Sidbeck of Chardon; grandchildren Tina and Bobby Sidbeck; brothers Charles Sidbeck and Alan (Janice) Sidbeck, all of Ashtabula; sisters, Shirley Wilkinson of Geneva, Donna (Tom) Orr, Mary Jane (Richard) Scott of Mentor-on-the-Lake; and his parents, Henry and Margaret (nee: Hensell) Sidbeck.
