Wesley A. Largen
WARREN - Wesley A. Largen, 64, of West Farmington, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999, at St. Joseph's Health Center in Warren.
Mr. Largen was born Oct. 2, 1935, in Burton. The son of Mack and Mary (Eggleston) Largen, he was a lifelong area resident.
He worked in the shipping department at Republic Steel for 32 years, retiring in 1989. He also owned the Melody Inn in West Farmington for 20 years. He was an electronics engineer and repaired televisions.
Mr. Largen served with the Army during the Korean War.
His hobbies included fishing, reading, listening to music and watching old movies.
Survivors include his wife, the former Beverly Marks, whom he married
Nov. 7, 1959, in Parkman; a son, Wesley Largen of West Farmington; a daughter, Debra Gerlt of West Farmington; four sisters, Virginia Wolfcomber of Middlefield, Sylvia Derrick of Willoughby, and Evelyn Dulka and Mary Lou Amato, both of West Farmington; two brothers, Richard of Florida, and Roger of West Farmington; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and four sisters.
Service is 11 a.m. Monday at the Russell Golden Rule Funeral Service, 275 E. Main St., West Farmington. The Rev. Thomas Fish, of the West Farmington United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside cemetery, West Farmington.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
William Luhtanen
SAYBROOK TOWNSHIP - William Luhtanen, 78, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999, at University Hospitals, Cleveland.
Born Dec. 3, 1920, in Painesville, he was the son of Frank and Amelia Luhtanen and had lived in the Saybrook area the past 10 years, coming from Painesville.
Mr. Luhtanen was retired from Uniroyal, Painesville Township, where he worked until 1974.
A Navy veteran, he served during World War II.
Survivors include four sons, William F. of Plainfield, Ill., Roger of Painesville, and Mark and Barry of Fairport Harbor; five grandchildren, Andrew, Tiffany, Amy, Ashley and Amanda Luhtanen; a sister, Vivian Anderson of Mentor; and three brothers, Albert of Painesville, Dick of Wisconsin and Don of Concord Township.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and Yrjo; and two sisters, Lillian Robinson and Lisa Tuttle.
Service is 8 p.m. Sunday at the Potti Funeral Home, 1009 Mentor Ave., Painesville, with the Rev. Donald Tompkins of Immanual Lutheran Church, Fairport Harbor, officiating.
Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Ruby P. Artman
KINSMAN - Ruby P. Artman, 83, of Kinsman - Nickerson Road, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, at Miller Memorial Health Care Center in Andover.
Born July 16, 1916, in Dorset, she was the daughter of Perry and Genevra Mae (Whipple) Paulson.
A longtime Kinsman resident, Mrs. Artman was a bookkeeper and teller for Mahoning National Bank, where she retired from. She was a 50 - year member of the Kinsman Presbyterian Church and also a member of the Eastern Star in Kinsman. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, and gardening.
Survivors include a daughter, Ella Bastine of Canton Mich.; a sister, Cassie M. Haines of Dorset; and two granddaughters, Melissa M. Bastine of Huntington Beach, CA and Selena J. Bastine of Canton, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton H., who she married
on June 2, 1940; a son, Kenneth Artman in 1968; a sister, Mary Paulson; and a brother, Clark Paulson.
Service is Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, a Family Care Group affiliate, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, with the Rev
Dr. John F. Helgeson officiating.
Burial will be in Kinsman cemetery.
Calling hours are Monday 3 to 6 p.m.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Kinsman Presbyterian Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Tyler Logan Davis
CONNEAUT - Tyler Logan Davis was stillborn on Saturday morning, Jan. 29, 2000, at Brown Memorial Hospital.
The parents are Jeffrey and Tammy Davis.
Funeral arrangements are still pending and will be anounced later.

Catherine P. Gosline
WILLOUGHBY - Catherine P. Gosline, 72, of Madison died Friday evening, Jan. 28, 2000, at Lake West Hospital.
Born Apr. 19, 1927, she was the daughter of Nora (Hennessey) and George Scheidecker.
She married
Donald Gosline Dec. 31, 1954 in Willoughy Hills.
Mrs. Gosline was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Peter J. and Mark A. of Madison; a sister, Regina Scheidecker of Madison.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 186; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Watson and Jeanette Davis; and a brother, Robert Scheidecker.
Funeral wil be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Hubbard Road, Madison. The Rev. Luigi Miola of Immaculate Conception Church will officiate.
Calling hours are 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison.
Edna M. Nyman
CLIFTON, N.J. - Edna M. Nyman, 75, of Clifton N.J., died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000.
She was born Apr. 25, 1924 in Wickliffe and lived in the area until moving to Clifton in 1950.
She worked as a bank teller and bond consultant for First Fidelity Bank, retiring in 1986 after 20 years.
She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 2 in Clifton, N.J.
She is survived by a son, Richard of Clifton, N.J.; three grandchildren, Kimberly, Kelly and Thomas; two sisters, Mary Louise Samsonas of Chesterland and Katheryn Ward of Anderson, Ind.; a brother, Richard Gardy of Chardon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Nyman in 1961.
Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Mon., Jan. 31 at the Behm Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison; Mark Samsonas will officiate.
Burial will be in Alexander Harper cemetery in Unionville.

Marcia Kay Parker
GENEVA - Marcia Kay Parker, 61, of Warren, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000 at UHHS Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 19, 1938 in Ravenna, she was the daughter of Norma Aletta (Underwood) and Daniel Albert Gwilt.
She lived in Geneva for two years and then in Warren for 25 years.
A 1956 graduate of Liberty high School in Rudolph, she enjoyed reading, crocheting and needlepoint.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Vagi of Geneva; a son, Mark of Warren; a grandson, Donald, Jr.; a sister, Candace Buckmaster of New Mexico; two brothers, Tim of New Mexico and Tom of Conneaut.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Private family services were held Saturday Jan. 29; the Rev. Jon Pratt officiated.
Burial will be in Milton Township cemetery in Custer.
Funeral arrangements were handled by the Behm Family Funeral Home, Geneva.
John M. Pixley
MONROE TOWNSHIP - John M. Pixley, 60, of Adams Road died Saturday Jan. 29, 2000, at Brown Memorial Hospital in Conneaut following a 10 - year illness.
A lifelong resident of Monroe Township, he was born March 16, 1939, the son of Adelbert and Harriet (Hazeltine) Pixley. He was born in the home he lived in until death.
Mr. Pixley graduated from Conneaut High School in 1957 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. A self - employed dairy farmer all of his life, he enjoyed reading, his grandchildren and his sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife, the former Mary Buie, whom he married
on Sept. 14, 1964; a daughter, Mary Jane Fox of Kingsville and a son, John A. of Monroe Township.; three grandchildren, Christopher, Courtney, and Casey Fox; and his sister, Jane Steen of Waterford, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Dan, Robert, and a brother at birth.
Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Marcy Funeral Home, a Family Care Group affiliate, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut.
Burial will be in Kelloggsville cemetery. Dana Harju of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints will officiate.

William W. Phipps Jr.
FAYETTE, Texas - William Wallace Phipps, Jr., 48, of Conneaut, died with his traveling companion, Janet Edel - Buczyk, Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, in a tractor - trailer accident.
Mr. Phipps was born May 19, 1951, in Windham, the son of William Wallace, Sr. and Shirley Jean (Lewis) Phipps. He had also been a resident of Beaufort, N. Carolina.
He was a graduate of Windham High School. Mr. Phipps was employed by Elite Express of Columbus for the past several years as a semi - truck driver.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in Korea.
Survivors include his mother of Deerfield Beach, Flal; and three brothers, Michael of Midway Park, N.C., Daniel of Jacksonville, N. C and Joel of Conneaut.
He was preceded in death by one son, William Wallace Phipps III, and his father.
A private service for both Phipps and Edel - Buczyk will be held at a later date.

Charles L. Barrett
ASHTABULA - Former Ashtabula City Councilman Charles L. "Corky" Barrett, 67, of East 47th Street, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 1999, from injuries he suffered in a motorcycle accident.
Born Feb. 14, 1932, he was the son of Lawrence and Ruth (Blair) Barrett, and a lifelong Ashtabula resident. For the past three years, he had wintered in Fort Myers, Fla.
Mr. Barrett was a graduate of Ashtabula High School. He also attended Kent State University.
Before retiring, he worked as a new construction sales representative for the East Ohio Gas Co.
He served as Ward 4 councilman from 1972 to 1977
He was a member of the Ashtabula County Builders Association; the BPO Elks Post 208; and St. Joseph Church. In his leisure time, he enjoyed golfing, playing volleyball and riding his motorcycle.
Survivors include his wife, Colleen (Sidley); four sons, Charles L. "Chip" of Daytona Beach, Fla., James R. of Auburndale, Fla., Patrick M. of Ashtabula, and J. Chad of Streetsboro; 11 grandchildren; and a brother, Blair Barrett of Johnson City, Tenn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Ruth, in infancy.
A celebration of Mr. Barrett's life and a gathering of his friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at BPO Elks Post 208, Lakefront Lodge, 3115 Lake Road W., Ashtabula.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Ashtabula County or BPO Elks 208. Envelopes will be available at the gathering or at Ducro Funeral Services, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, which is handling arrangements.
Jesse Curry
MADISON - The Rev. Jesse B. "Ben" Curry, 79, died Friday, Aug. 27, 1999, at his home in Madison.
He was born Jan. 26, 1926, in Louiseville, Ala. A former Cleveland Heights resident, he moved to Madison 19 years ago.
Rev. Curry was a veteran of the Army during World War II. He received the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, the Bronze Service Star, the Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
He later became an ordained minister at the Bethesda Pentecostal Church in Cleveland. He retired from White Motors Inc. in 1979, and worked for Roadrunners Delivery Service until Aug. 2 of this year.
He was a member of Family Worship Center, Painesville.
Survivors include his wife, Joan (Gowans); three daughters, Ada R. Taliaferro of South Euclid, Victoria Stine of Columbus and Gidget of Federico of Madison; a son, Benford J. Curry Jr. of Richfield; a brother, Thomas Curry; two sisters, Dorothy Miller and Elline Barclay; 10 grandchildren; 17 great - grandchildren; and four great - great - grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Rev. Curry was preceded in death by his son, Billy Ray Curry; a brother, Robert; and a sister, Silla Burkhalter.
Service is 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Potti Funeral Home, 2726 Hubbard Road, Madison. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Leonard J. Dello
CONNEAUT - Leonard J. Dello, 68, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 1999, at UHHS Brown Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 1, 1931, in Conneaut, the son of Leonard and Mary E. (Blazek) Dello.
After high school, he was drafted into the Marine Corps during the Korean conflict.
Mr. Dello later went to work for W.J. Chicatelli as a bricklayer. He also was employed by the A.M. Higley Construction Co. as a construction superintendent. He played a role in the construction of the Brown Memorial Hospital annex, the Roundtowner Motel, the Premix Corp., Conneaut City Hall annex, the Conneaut Veterans' Wall memorial and numerous other local buildings.
He also was employed as the supervisor of maintenance at the P&C Dock Co., and retired in April 1986, after 15 years service. Later, he worked several years as Ashtabula County's chief building inspector.
A member of St. Frances Cabrini Church, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, carpentry and casino gambling with his wife. An excellent bricklayer, he often volunteered his skills to help family, friends and churches.
When at leisure, Mr. Dello enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was a member of local American Legion and VFW posts.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Mundi, whom he married
Nov. 10, 1951, at St. Mary Church in Conneaut; a daughter, Lenette Butts of Conneaut; two sons, David of Conneaut and Daniel of Mentor; a sister, Barbara Nerone of Gates Mills; a brother, Robert of Conneaut; and six grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at noon Wednesday at St. Frances Cabrini Roman Catholic Church. The Revs. Raymond Thomas and A. Edward Gretchko will concelebrate. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery, Conneaut.
Calling hours are 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Raisian Funeral Home, a Family Care Group affiliate, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut.
