Jessie A. Collister
JEFFERSON - The family of Jessie Collister, 76, of E. Pine Street, will receive friends from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Collister residence.
Mrs. Collister died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999, at her home.
The Fleming Funeral Home, a Family Care Group affiliate, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, handled the arrangements.
Margaret M. Dewey
CONNEAUT - Former Dibble Road resident Margaret M. Andrews Dewey, 81, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999, at Harrington Care Home, where she had been a resident the past two years.
Born May 9, 1918, in Geneva, she was the daughter of Herbert and Madelle (Lindsey) Andrews.
She married
Melvin Dewey on Oct. 1, 1940.
The Ashtabula High School graduate was a retired secretary from North Kingsville Elementary School. She also was a former employee at Candyland, American Fork and Hoe and as Theodore Carlisle's personal secretary at the Carlisle - Allen Co.
She was a member of the Gageville United Methodist Church.
She was a member of the Sheffield Grange and had served on the Sheffield Township Board of Elections.
She enjoyed crafts and cooking.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Timothy of Manama, Bahrain; a daughter, Mary Gioiello of Westlake; three grandchildren, Tara, Shauna and Joshua; two great - grandchildren; a brother, Herbert Andrews, Jr. of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a sister, Alda Ray of Geneva.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Lucille Stark; and two brothers, Glenn and Paul Andrews.
Funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, with the Rev. David Miller, pastor of the Gageville United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.
Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Gageville United Methodist Church.
Lucy K. Domingos
EASTLAKE - Lucy K. Domingos, 85, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999, at Hospice House.
She was born Sept. 22, 1914, in West Virginia.
A homemaker and former Madison resident, she lived in Eastlake the past 20 years.
She was a member of Eastlake Baptist Church.
Mrs. Domingos was a seamstress and enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph; a son, Joseph "Art" of Kirtland; a daughter, Darla Kavanaugh of Willoughby; three granddaughters, Laura Kavanaugh Lewarski of Eastlake, Susan Burless of Rock Creek and Cynthia Fishley of Madison; four great - grandchildren; and a sister, Anna DeBow of Ashtabula.
Funeral is 1 p.m. Monday at the Brunner Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, with the Rev. Bill Halliburton and the Rev. Richard Lowry, pastors of the Eastlake Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Mentor cemetery in Mentor.
Calling hours are noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

James P. Dunnick Jr.
ROCKVILLE, Md. - Former Ashtabula resident James P. Dunnick Jr., 57, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999, in Rockville, Md., after a short illness. He was diagnosed with lung cancer.
Born Feb. 8, 1942, he was the son of James P. Sr. and Isabel (Gillen) Dunnick.
He had lived in Rockville the past 30 years.
A 1960 Harbor High School graduate, he had worked for the federal government in Health and Human Services. He retired in 1995, after attaining the position of Chief of Resource Management for the Indian Health Service.
Since that time, he had been working as a private independent consultant of financial affairs for various American Indian tribes. For the past two years, he was the acting executive director of the Lassen Indian Health Clinic, Susanville Indian Rancheria, Susanville, Calif.
A Marine Corps veteran, he served in Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Nellie M. Kaydo
ASHTABULA - Nellie M. Kaydo, 87, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999, in the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born Nov. 21, 1911, in Searights, Pa., she was the daughter of Frank and Mary (Bankus) Platz.
She married
Steven P. Kaydo on Oct. 2, 1927, in New Salem, Pa.
A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mrs. Kaydo had lived in Ashtabula since 1947.
Her hobbies included cooking, working crossword puzzles, watching TV and, most importantly, taking care of her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth "Betty", Lillian Olson and Shirley Lemponen, all of Ashtabula; four sons, Steve Jr., Bob and Michael, all of Ashtabula, and Bill of North Kingsville; 15 grandchildren; 11 great - grandchildren, two great - great grandchildren; and sisters Agnes Spiegal of Uniontown, Pa., and Peggy Blanchett of New York.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1967; a daughter, Catherine Geyer, in 1993; a son, Frank, in infancy; a great - grandson, Timothy; brothers John and Frank Platz, and sisters Joan Ury, Louise Staron and Catherine Staron.
Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Church, 3330 Lake Ave., Ashtabula. The Rev. Philip Miller will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery.
Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. today in the Zaback - Czup Funeral Home, 500 Prospect Road, Ashtabula.

Jimmy Joe Lavick
ASHTABULA TOWNSHIP - Jimmy Joe Lavick, 46, died June 21, 1999, in Ashtabula.
Private graveside services were held Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999 at Edgewood cemetery in Ashtabula Township.
Potti Lakeside Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1329 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, handled the arrangements.
Anthony Daniel Lipstreu
MADISON - Madison resident Anthony Daniel Lipstreu, 15 months, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999, in Ashtabula.
Born June 22, 1998, in Ashtabula, he was the son of Gordon Grover and Sherry Ann Hughell.
Survivors include his parents of Madison; a grandmother, Cheryl Biddlecom of Bangor, Maine; and a grandfather, Daniel Hughell of Cleveland.
Funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St. Burial will be in Madison Memorial cemetery in Madison.
Calling hour is 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Richard L. Park
GENEVA - West Tibbitts Street resident Richard L. Park, 60, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999, at the Cleveland Clinic.
Born June 4, 1939, in Geneva, he was a son of Lawrence A. and Lillian M. (Amsden) Park.
He married
Karen McCallister on Jan. 19, 1974, in Somerset, Pa.
The lifelong area resident had spent five years working as a press operator for Zehrco Co. in Jefferson.
He enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Karen C. Park of Geneva; two sons, James and Robert of California; three daughters, Karryl Freeman of Geneva, Kim Adkins of Geneva and Rhonda Schmidt of Ashtabula; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Phylis Martin and Helen Willis, both of Geneva; and a brother, Robert of Geneva.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial service is 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at 69 West Tibbitts St.
No calling hours will be held.

Raymond Peters
CONNEAUT - South Parrish Road resident Raymond Peters, 85, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999, at the Inn Conneaut Health Center.
Born Oct. 13, 1914, in Franklin Terrace, Pa., he was the son of Clint and Mabelle (Curtis) Peters.
He moved to Conneaut from Edinboro, Pa., 47 years ago.
Mr. Peters was involved in farming. At one time, he owned and operated Peters Trucking in Ashtabula. He also worked for Allied Resins as an extruder.
Survivors include his wife, Frances (Bliss); two daughters, Barbara of Conneaut and Janet Wilson of Pennsylvania; two sons, Russell of McKean, Pa. and Duane of California; several grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Simon of Tulsa, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Roger and Charles.
There will be no services or calling hours.

Doris E. Phillis
WILLOUGHBY - Doris E. Phillis, 87, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999, at Manor Care Health Services in Willoughby.
She was born Feb. 9, 1912, in Waynesville, she was the daughter of William and Minnie Pugh.
She lived in Rock Creek from 1947 to 1953 and in Mentor before moving to Willoughby 20 years ago.
Mrs. Phillis was the retired office manager of Phil - Matic Screw Products Inc. in Eastlake, which was owned by her husband, Lawrence W., from 1962 to 1973.
She was a member of First Christian Church of Willoughby.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 202 in Willoughby.
Survivors include two sons, William of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Larry of Mentor; a daughter, Carol Brickell of Willoughby; eight grandchildren, Cindy Young, Renee Elliott, Todd, Richard, Brian and Greg Phillis, Michael Brickell and Susan Hoffman; and 11 great - grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; a grandson, Daniel Phillis; a great - granddaughter, Sarah Phillis; two brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral is 3 p.m. Saturday at Davis Trust 100 Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby, with the Rev. Diana M. Morris, of the First Christian Church of Willoughby, and the Rev. Robert W. Reichard, officiating.

Edward Steel
ASHTABULA - Edward Swetel, 72, of Ashtabula, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1999, at his home.
He was born July 20, 1927, in Luzerne, Pa., the son of Michael and Martha (Micklonis) Swetelvich.
Mr. Swetel, who moved to Ashtabula in the early 1970s, was former owner and operator of Twin Oaks Golf Course.
Survivors include three brothers, Albert of Andover, Joseph of Solon, and Benjamin of Wickliffe.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Elizabeth Eckerle; and brothers John, Anthony, Frank, Michael and Victor.
Service is noon Saturday at the St. Joseph cemetery Chapel on Carpenter Road in Saybrook Township. The Rev. Philip Miller will officiate.

Mary E. Paulson
JEFFERSON - Mary E. Paulson, 85, of West Satin Street died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center, after being admitted on Wednesday.
The daughter of Perry and Genevra (Whipple) Paulson, she was born Aug. 25, 1914, in Denmark Center.
A lifelong resident of Jefferson and Denmark Township, she worked 40 years for Douglass Lumber Co. as a bookkeeper, retiring in 1982. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, and was treasurer at the time of her death. She also had held a number of other offices at the church, and she belonged to the church's Win - A - Couple Class and Women's Circle.
She was a 52 - year member of Orion Chapter 12 OES, a 65 - year member of Denmark Grange and a member of the DAR and DAC.
In her leisure time, Miss Paulson enjoyed crocheting, crafts and fellowship with friends and family.
Survivors include sisters Ruby I. Artman of Kinsman and Cassie P. Haines of Dorset Township; three nieces, including Lauri Haines Allen of Jefferson; two nephews, including Roger Haines of Dorset Township; and many other more distant relatives.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Clark Paulson and a nephew, Kenneth Artman.
Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Jefferson, 85 W. Jefferson St., with the Rev. William L. Offutt, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in South Denmark cemetery.
Calling hours are 3 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Fleming Funeral Home Inc., a Family Care Group affiliate, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson. Orion Chapter 12 will conduct an Eastern Star service at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

NORTH KINGSVILLE - Justin Lee Lott, 8, of East Center Street, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at his home.

ASHTABULA - David Bowens III, 18, of Plymouth Ridge Road died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, in Sheffield Township from injuries he suffered in an automobile accident.
Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Messiah Lutheran Church, 615 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula.
Calling hours are 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Roger D. Martin
ERIE, Pa. - Roger D. Martin, 48, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at Hamot Medical Center, following a lengthy illness.
The son of John E. and Dela M. (Willoughby) Martin, he was born in Mount Sterling, Ky.
He worked at Erie Petroleum Co. for several years. Before that, he did many odd jobs.
He enjoyed talking on the citizens band radio and was known locally as "Station Wagon Cowboy."
He also enjoyed fishing and watching his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Barbara J. (Reddecliff) Martin, whom he married
July 25, 1975; sons David L. and Dominic D., both of Erie; daughters Deanna L. Wolozanski of Erie and Denise M. and Chrissie M., both at home; sisters Josie Martin Patton and Pamela Martin, both of Owinsville, Ky., Jean Strang of Mount Sterling, Ky. and Patsy Martin of Lexington, Ky.; brothers Lester, Irvin and Randall, all of Owinsville, Woodrow of Winchester, Ky., Bobby and Rocky, both in Kentucky, and Finley of Erie; and grandchildren Jared and Katrina Martin, Cheyenne Wolozanski and Daniel Martin.
Service is 8 p.m. Sunday at the Russell C. Schmidt and Son Funeral Home, 2926 Pine Ave., Erie, Pa. Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery, Erie.
