Mary B. Ensman
BRYAN - Mary Barbra Ensman, 97, of Bryan, died Friday, Feb. 4, 2000, at Harborside Healthcare of Northwest Ohio.
The daughter of George and Cally (Gekle) Barker, she was born March 9, 1902, in Cecil.
She married
Joseph Ensman May 29, 1923, in Jefferson.
A homemaker, her hobbies included crochet, embroidery and other needlework and putting together puzzles. She also enjoyed walking.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Bryan.
Survivors include two sons, Claude G. and Charles E., both of Bryan; five daughters, Ann Schindler, Catherine Warner, Irene Kemp and Josephine Stratton, all of Bryan, and Betty Repp of Montpelier; 22 grandchildren; 50 great - grandchildren; 27 great - great - grandchildren; four step - great - grandchildren; and two step - great - great - grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1952; a daughter, Mary Magdeline Stantz; a sister, Agnes Harshman; and three brothers, George Barker, John Barker and Richard Barker.
Service is 10:30 a.m. Monday at Oberlin - Ford Funeral Home in Bryan, with Sister Reginia and the Rev. John Rumple officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery in Edgerton.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday.

Lillian F. Nizen
GENEVA - Lillian F.. Nizen, 82, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, in the University Hospital of Geneva.
The daughter of John and Mary (Tischler) Simcsik, she was born Dec. 1, 1917, in Ashtabula.
She lived most of her life in Ashtabula and spent the past two years with her daughter in Madison.
She was a member of the Mother of Sorrows Church, VFW Post 943 Ladies Auxiliary, where she held several offices, and the Emblem Club of which she was secretary.
She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, following the Cleveland Indians and spending time with her family.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen Connor of Madison; a son, David Nizen of Pinellas Park, Fla.; seven grandchildren Randy Bryant, Gary Bryant, Tammy Newbold, Valarie Bryant, Lisa Downs, David Nizen Jr. and Jeffrey Nizen; and two great - grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; by brothers John, Joseph, Paul and Arnold Simcsik; and by sisters Anna Bodi, Helen Keves, Mildred Schoverth and Cecelia Allgower.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in Mother of Sorrows Church. Burial will be in Edgewood cemetery.

Lucinda M. Somerville
WAYNE TOWNSHIP - Lucinda M. "Cindy" Somerville, 28, of Route 322 in Wayne Township, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Andover.
The daughter of William E. and Dorothy M. (Fobes) Somerville, she was born July 6, 1971, in Greenville, Pa.
A lifelong area resident, Miss Somerville was a 1989 graduate of Pymatuning Valley High School in Andover and a 1990 graduate of Bradford Secretarial School in Pittsburgh.
She was employed the last 10 years as a typesetter with the General Bookbinding Co. of Chesterland.
She enjoyed collecting ceramic cats, flower gardening and cross stitching. She was well - known for her annual organization of family and friends in an apple butter stir.
Survivors include her mother of Williamsfield; her father of West Lafayette; stepmother, Nancy Somerville of West Lafayette; two brothers, William E. "Chip" Somverville of Wayne Township and Robert A. Somerville of Andover; paternal grandmother Zelda Mercer of Kinsman; and three nieces.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Bert and Mary Fobes; paternal grandfather, Ernest Somerville; and her adoptive grandparents, Harold and Dorothea Difford.
Service is 2 p.m. Tuesday at Baumgardner Funeral Home, a Family Care Group affiliate, 134 Prospect St., Andover, with the Rev. Vernon I. Palo and the Rev. Robert C. Gears officiating.
Burial will be Hayes cemetery in Wayne Township.

Elsie M. Stief
SILVER SPRINGS, Fla. - Elsie M. Stief, 71, a former Ashtabula resident, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, at Silvia's House, Hospice of Marion, Fla.
She was born in Kansas City, Mo., and moved to Florida from Tennessee in 1996.
A homemaker, she attended St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Ocala, Fla.
She was a member of the East Marion Homemakers Club, and of Beta Sigma Phi sorority for 47 years
Survivors include her husband, Robert Stief of Silver Springs; three daughters, Debbie Myers of Knoxville, Tenn., Sandy Herron of Ashtabula and Kellie Delafuente of Brandon, Fla.; one son, Robert Stief Jr. of Miami; eight grandchildren; and five great - grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Lee Stief.
No service or calling hours will be observed.

Louella J. Blon
JEFFERSON - Louella J. Blon, 64, Uselma Avenue, Jefferson, died late Monday evening, Oct. 4, 1999, in the emergency room at Ashtabula County Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 15, 1934, in New Martinsville, W.Va., the daughter of John and Georgia (Jacobs) Neff, and has been a resident of Jefferson since 1958, coming here from Belmont.
She married
Frederick A. Blon on Dec. 23, 1951, in Belmont.
Mrs. Blon was active with the Jefferson Area Music Boosters Association for several years, serving as the group's president. She also loved quilting and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
Survivors include three sons, Robert of Ann Arbor, Mich., Douglas Blon of Pierpont, and Timothy of Jefferson; a daughter, Barbara Burgoon of Ashtabula; a brother, Emil Eddy of Melbourne, W.Va.; nine grandchildren and one great - grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, in 1995.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Oakdale cemetery in Jefferson. The Rev. David T. Hill, of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, will officiate.
No calling hours will be observed.

Mary Elizabeth Kuehnel
YAMHILL, Ore. - Mary Elizabeth Kuehnel, 94, formerly of Chardon, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 1999, in Yamhill.
Born in Thornley, England, she moved to Pennsylvania when she was 7 years old.
She attended Cleveland Bible Institute and pastored three area churches with her husband, including Mayfield Friends Church for 13 years, Fowlers Mills Christian Community Church for 20 years, and Hambden Congregational Church for 19 years. She was also employed as a nurse's aide for 25 years.
Survivors include a son, J. Philip, of Yamhill; two daughters, Esther M. Saben of Burton, and Lois A. Palmer of Dade City, Fla.; two brothers, George W. Clark of Cleveland and James Clark of Newberg, Ore.; six grandchildren and eight great - grandchildren.
Service is 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel of Coleman & Ferguson Funeral Home, 14233 Seventh St., Dade City, Fla. 33523. Burial will follow in Floral Memory Gardens
Frank L. Lockwood
WEST SPRINGFIELD, Pa. - Frank L. Lockwood, 54, of Ridge Road, West Springfield, died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999, at the St. Vincent Health Center in Erie, Pa.
He was born Aug. 4, 1945, in DuBois, Pa., the son of Russell and Mary (Swan) Lockwood, and had lived in West Springfield the past 14 years. Previously, he lived in Girard, Pa.
He worked in the shipping department at the Copes Vulcan Co. in Lake City, Pa. In his leisure time, Mr. Lockwood enjoyed woodworking.
Survivors include his mother, of McKean, Pa.; his wife, Nancy, to whom he had been married
the past 16 years; a daughter, Tamara Campbell of Erie; three sons, Frank Jr., of Girard, and Steve and Scott, both of Lake City; two stepdaughters, Susan Cordell of East Springfield, Pa., and Sandra Ballas of Binghamton, N.Y.; a stepson, John Fetterman of Albion, Pa.; two sisters, Donna Fowler of Oneida, Tenn., and Barbara Craig of McKean, Pa.; three brothers, Ronald of Erie, Pa., Larry of Cambridge Springs, Pa., and Marvin of Fairview, Pa.; five grandchildren and five step - grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and an infant son, Theodore.
Service is 11 a.m. Friday at the Thompson - Smith Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut. The Rev. Edward H. Huntley, of the Federated Church of East Springfield, Pa., will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.

Robin M. Mullins
PAINESVILLE - Robin M. Mullins, 39, died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 1999, at University Hospitals, Cleveland.
Born Oct. 9, 1959, in Ashtabula, she had lived in Painesville her entire life.
She was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Survivors include her mother, Barbara Nyznik of Painesville; a sister, Diana Merriman of Grand River; two brothers, Michael J. Mullins of Chesapeake, Va., and Timothy E. Nyznik of Mentor.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Mullins.
Services were held Sept. 18 at the Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave., Painesville.

MENTOR - Jeannette "Jeanne" L. Skaggs, 48, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1999, at home.
Born Oct. 11, 1950, in Cleveland, she was the daughter of Harry and Mary Wade. She lived most of her life in Mentor.
She was employed at Allflow Pump Inc., Mentor, and had worked previously at Mentor Senior Center, where she was a secretary for nine years. She enjoyed cooking, arts and crafts, and dancing.
Survivors include her parents, of Mentor; daughters Jackie Hayes of Ashtabula, and Stephanie Murphy of Chardon; sons Robin of Russell, and Rocky of Ashtabula; sisters Marilyn Flick of Toledo, Patty D'Amico of Mentor, Susan Bloom of Wickliffe, Diane Woodburn of Painesville; a brother, Danny Wade of Dorset; and grandchildren Ryan and Joshua Hayes, Brandon and Zachery Murphy and Alexandria Skaggs.
She was preceded in death by grandparents Vera and Raymond Wade, John and Teresa Polchin; and a sister, Linda.

Lois J. Thurston
ASHTABULA - Lois J. Thurston, 85, of East 44th Street, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1999, in the Hospice unit of Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born Sept. 27, 1914, in Plymouth Township, she was the daughter of Leslie and Jennie (Tombes) Johnson. She was a lifetime area resident.
Mrs. Thurston was retired in 1976 from Grand River Rubber. She was a member of East Side Presbyterian Church, Ashtabula, and the Tops Club for more than 27 years. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, bowling and flowers.
Survivors include her husband, Roland, whom she wed Jan. 23, 1953; a daughter, Janet Lucille Zullo of Ashtabula; a stepson, Barry of California; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Delta Loomis of Ashtabula and Ellen Lewis of Harpersfield Township.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Lynn Holeton, in 1950; three brothers, Howard, Orrie and Burton Johnson; and a sister, Marleah Johnson.
Service is 1 p.m. Friday at the Ross - Billman Funeral Home, a Family Care Group affiliate, 526 Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with the Rev. Shane Nanney of the East Side Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery, Plymouth Township.

Alfred M. Vosburg
ASHTABULA TOWNSHIP - Alfred M. Vosburg, 82, of East 27th Street, died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999, at his home.
Born Nov. 11, 1916, in Meadville, Pa., he was the son of Horace E. and Effie (Pittman) Vosburg.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he was employed with Union Carbide until retirement. He enjoyed working with tools, metalwork and mechanical things.
Survivors include two sons, Dale, of Texas, and Ronald of Jefferson; five grandchildren and six great - grandchildren; and a sister, Martha Polka of Meadville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Anna, in 1995; a son, Dennis, in 1997; four brothers, Glen, Roy, Zeke and Vance; and two sisters, Evelyn and Marjorie.
At Mr. Vosburg's request, no service will be held.

Viola Wright
PAINESVILLE - Former Madison resident Viola Wright, 58, died Friday, Oct. 1, 1999, at Hospice of the Western Reserve.
Born April 8, 1941, in East Cleveland, she had lived in Madison from 1977 to 1979. She had lived in Painesville for two years.
She enjoyed her family and gardening.
Survivors include daughters Lisa Starke of Painesville and Pamela Link of Eastlake; a son, Daniel, of Ashtabula; a brother, George Zak of Youngstown; five grandchildren and two great - grandchildren.
A gathering for family and friends will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Ritondaro Funeral Home, 126 South St., Chardon.

Lillian A. Ciancibelli
GENEVA - Lillian A. Ciancibelli, 79, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999 at her daughter's home in Trumbull Township.
She was born July 25, 1920, the daughter of John and Mary (Sitar) Murgel. She married
Dominic Ciancibelli on May 4, 1944 in Cleveland.
She lived in Geneva eight years, moving there from Cleveland.
Mrs. Ciancibelli worked at the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections and was a member of St. Vitus Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and refurbishing children's toys and baby furniture.
She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl of Trumbull Township; one son, Dominic Jr. of Kalama, Wash.; a sister, Vera Jarc of Euclid; and four grandchildren, Jason Perkins and Nick, Allison, and Christopher Ciancibelli.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; three sisters, Stefi Miller, Emma Jeric and Millie Jarc; and two brothers, Emil and John.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday at the Behm Family Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva. Burial will be in Trumbull Center cemetery.
