Robert H. Morgan
MADISON - Robert H. Morgan, 79, of Madison, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, at Lake East Hospital in Painesville.
Mr. Morgan was born June 8, 1920, in Cleveland, the son of Frederick and Emma (Keupfer) Morgan.
He was a self - employed general residential building contractor for 40 years.
He served with the Army during World War II, seeing duty in the Rhineland. Mr. Morgan was wounded while seeing action in Germany's Hartz Mountains.
Survivors include his wife, the former Frances Gallagher, whom he married May 2, 1942, in Willoughby; two daughters, Denise Michaud of Concord, and Stephanie Waite of Canfield; two sons, Robert Morgan of Chesterland, and Kevin Morgan of Madison; a sister, Ruth Baldwin of Greenville, S.C.; two brothers, Frederick Morgan of New Port Richey, Fla., and Clifford Morgan of Chardon; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Service is 11 a.m. Saturday at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison. The Rev. John Hayes, of Immaculate Conception Church in Cleveland, will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery in Madison.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

Jenny M. Seimbor
NEW LYME TOWNSHIP - Jenny M. Siembor, 63, of Lenox - New Lyme Road, died Wednesday morning, Nov. 3, 1999, at the Altercare facility in Mentor.
She was born July 11, 1936, in Cleveland, the daughter of John and Sally (Puliahausk) Sayevicz. She lived in New Lyme Township most of her life, moving to the area from Cleveland.
She was a teacher between 1950 and 1960, and taught sixth grade at Rock Creek Elementary School. She also taught religion classes for 10 years.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rock Creek. In her leisure time, she enjoyed spending time with children and two grandsons; gardening and flowers.
She married Richard C. Siembor on June 29, 1957, in Orwell.
Survivors include four children, Patrece Spiesman of Leroy Township, Richard Siembor of New Lyme, Jonathan Siembor of Andover, and Patrick Siembor of Olmsted Falls; and two grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, in September; and a brother, Joseph Sayevicz, in infancy.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Route 45, Rock Creek. The Rev. Edward Kowaleski will be the celebrant. Burial will be in All Souls cemetery in Chardon.
Calling hours are 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Fleming Funeral Home, Inc., a Family Care Group affiliate, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson.

Helen E. Stoll
CONCORD - Helen E. "Mitzie" Stoll, 67, of Concord, died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999, at Hospice House in Cleveland.
She was born Jan. 2, 1931, in Madison, the daughter of John Leonard and Helen Elizabeth (Gall) Bukky.
She worked 33 years for the Kroger Company, retiring in 1985.
Survivors include four sisters, Norma Scott, Betty Hutson, Joyce Bukky and Mary Hejduk, all of Madison; and three brothers, Tom Bukky of Madison, Norman Bukky of Reno, Nev., and John Bukky of Camden, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, John, Ted and Gene; and a sister, Sandra.
Graveside service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at North Madison cemetery in Madison. The Rev. Luigi Miola of the Immaculate Conception Church, will officiate. Burial will be in North Madison cemetery in Madison.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House, 300 E. 185th St., Cleveland, Ohio, 44119.
The Behm Family Funeral Home, Inc., 26 River St., Madison, is in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy J. Wedge
CHARDON - Dorothy J. "Dottie" Wedge, 74, of Chardon, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, at Geauga Regional Hospital in Claridon Township.
She was born June 11, 1925, in Chardon, the daughter of Richard and Helen (Carlson) Ruple.
She was a 1943 graduate of Chardon High School, and during World War II became the first female newspaper reporter for the former Geauga Record. She also wrote for United Press International, specializing in stories about local soldiers.
She was a member of the Geauga County Maple Festival Board for 40 years, and was president in 1963 and 1964. She was an active member of the Geauga County Historical Society since 1970, serving as a trustee from Chardon for the society and chairman of the group's Rug and Craft Show.
She was a volunteer for 14 years with the American Cancer Society's Good Buys Shoppe in Chardon. She also was a member of the Western Reserve Rug Hook Crafters.
Her hobbies included attending Chardon High School football games. She also won numerous awards for rug - hooking at the Great Geauga County Fair.
She married Clifford John Wedge on May 22, 1943, in Chardon.
Survivors include two sons, Clifford Wedge of Munson Township, and Dale Wedge of Aquilla; a sister, Pearl Valvoda of Claridon Township; two brothers, Richard Ruple of Orangeville, Ontario, and Van Ruple of Chardon; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon. George Dauler, of Orwell North Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Chardon Municipal cemetery in Chardon.
Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 7861 Crile Road, Concord.

Susan F. Aurand
GUSTAVUS TOWNSHIP - Susan F. Aurand, 87, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2000 at her home in Gustavus.
The daughter of John and Judith (Hruska) Laska, she was born Feb. 16, 1912, in Czechoslovakia.
She was a longtime area resident, worked in area restaurants and also owned and operated Aurand Restaurant in Gustavus Township for many years.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Totten Post, Gustavus Township.
She also enjoyed cooking.
Survivors include one daughter, Jeanne C. Cerrone of Edison, N.J.; one step - daughter, A. Jean Ritchey of Cogan Station, Pa.; a grandson, Mark Cerrone of Edison; and a step - grandson, Ronald Ritchey of Barnesboro, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoover B. Aurand Nov. 14, 1976; two sisters, Mary Clisby and Julia Bobka; and one brother, John Laska Jr.
Graveside services are scheduled to be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Kinsman cemetery in Kinsman.
No calling hours will be observed.

Gertrude B. Canning
ASHTABULA - Gertrude Brailey Canning, 93, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born Sept. 4, 1906, in Cleveland, she was a daughter of Alexander and Rose Mary (Peck) Brailey.
She married William G. Canning on Sept. 4, 1937. The couple moved to Ashtabula in 1945.
She graduated from Holy Name High School in 1925.
Mrs. Canning worked for the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services as a vocational counselor from 1959 until her retirement in 1972.
She was an active member of St. Joseph Church. She was a former president of the Altar and Rosary Society and one of the founders of the church's Women's Guild.
She was a former president of the Ashtabula County Democratic Women's Association and one of the original organizers and former president of the Ashtabula County Mental Health Association.
She was a seamstress and enjoyed crafts, cooking, baking, traveling, reading and being involved in family activities.
Survivors include two daughters: Maureen Canning Marshall, of Rocky River, and Kathleen Canning Kirk of Kingsville Township; three grandchildren: Elizabeth, Ryan and Justin Kirk, all of Kingsville Township; and a sister, Agnes Biondi of Independence.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Loretta, in infancy; and two brothers, Arthur Brailey and Frank Brailey, in infancy.
Mass of Christian burial is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at the St. Joseph Church, 3330 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, with the Rev. Philip Miller officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery.
No calling hours will be held.
The Zaback - Czup Funeral Home, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula, is in charge of arrangements.

Raymond D. Herron
WHEELING, W. Va. - Raymond David Herron, 76, of Wheeling, W. Va., died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, at Wheeling Hospital.
The son of Boyd E. and Pearl (Lowren) Herron, he was born Sept. 17, 1923, in Zarr, W. Va.
He was a retired shuttle car operator with the Valley Camp Coal Company.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Geneva Hornick Herron; three sons: Charles, of Elkins, W. Va.; Donald, of Kingsville; and Roger, of Wellsburg; five daughters: Judy Wolford, of Ashtabula; Doris Markko, of Dorset; Elsie Starks, of Menron, Mich.; Betty Eltringham, of Wheeling; and Geneva Faye Straub, of Wheeling; four brothers; two sisters; 19 grandchildren; 18 great - grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Patty Lou Herron; one son, Ronnie Dea Herron; one brother; and one sister.
Service is scheduled for 11 a.m. today at Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Ave.
Burial is planned in Short Creek cemetery, Short Creek, W. Va.

Jennie C. Hinkle
KINGSVILLE - Jennie Charlotte Hinkle, 92, South Ridge East, Kingsville, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
She was born July 14, 1907 in Oonsä, Norway, the daughter of Adolf and Ida (Gronquist) Auguston, and had been a lifelong area resident.
She was a member of the Ashtabula Seniors Center and the Kingsville Presbyterian Church. She also was an avid bowler.
Survivors include three daughters: Evelyn Marie Robishaw, of Kingsville; Janet Louise Brown, of Phoenix, Ariz.; and Shirley Ann Brown, of Warren; a sister, Margaret Crouch - Anderson, of Indiana; eight grandchildren and 15 great - grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer Hinkle; two brothers, Thomas and Louis; a son, Lanny Marion Hinkle; and a sister, Dagna Hedin.
A memorial service will be scheduled. At the request of the family, no calling hours will be observed.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
The Burton Funeral Home, 1329 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, is handling arrangements.

Frank G. Kren
HAMBDEN TOWNSHIP - Frank G. Kren, 73, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000, at Geauga Regional Hospital.
The son of Joseph and Theresa (Koenig) Kren, he was born July 16, 1926, in Cleveland. He had lived in Hambden Township since 1990, and before that in Willoughby Hills and Newbury.
He worked for Sani Clean and Independent Towel Co., then went to work for Lutheran Hospital from 1963 to 1988. From 1988 to 1991, he worked at St. Alexis Hospital. He was laundry manager at both hospitals.
He enjoyed polka music and working puzzles.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Thompson, the American Legion Post 559 in Sagamore Hills and was a World War II veteran. He served in the Army as a sergeant, receiving the American Theater Ribbon, Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal.
Survivors include his wife Daphne "Ruth" (Pappas) Kren of Hambden whom he married Dec. 27, 1969, in Cleveland; two daughters: Therese Volkmann of Hambden and Karen Parker of Hampton, Va.; his son, Frank Jr. of Adelanto, Calif.; grandchildren: Victoria Volkmann Intihar, of Windsor; Abigail and Emily Volkmann, of Hambden; and Eric Heib, of Warren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John "Hunchy" Kren; and a sister, Pauline Ashby.
Service is set for 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Church, 16550 Rock Creek Road, Thompson, with the Rev. Paul Smith, pastor of St. Patrick's, officiating.
Burial will be in All Souls cemetery in Chardon.
Calling hours will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Ritondaro Funeral Home, 126 South St. (Route 44) in Chardon.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hambden Veterans Memorial Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Georgia R. Obhof
GENEVA - Georgia Rosa Jeffrey Obhof, 86, of Geneva, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000, at the Rae - Ann Nursing Home in Geneva.
The daughter of Charles and August L. (Ellis) Hager, she was born Dec. 27, 1913, in Blair, W. Va. She had lived in Geneva since 1965, moving from Madison, W. Va.
She worked as a laundress at Geneva Highlander and Homestead Nursing Home. She enjoyed gardening and playing cards.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Jane Kuhn of Belle, W. Va., and Mildred J. Gregory of Geneva; two sons: Charles E. Jeffrey, of Bob White, W. Va.; and Clifford E. Jeffrey, of Pineville, Ky.; 27 grandchildren; 34 great - grandchildren; and five great - great - grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edgar Lee Jeffrey; her second husband, Martin W. Obhof; a granddaughter, Nancy Lee Kuhn; a grandson, Craig A. Gregory; a son, Carlos E. Jeffrey; four brothers; and two sisters.
Service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Behm Family Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 175 South Broadway, Geneva, with the Rev. Harry Pischura of New Life Assembly of God, officiating.
In keeping with Obhof's wishes, her body was donated to Case Western Reserve Medical School.

Betty F. Shaffer
ASHTABULA - Betty F. Shaffer, 62, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center, following a lengthy illness.
Born July 17, 1937, in Harrisburg, Pa., she was a daughter of John and Bessie (Clark) Petrilla.
She married Lawrence A. Shaffer on July 16, 1955, in North Apollo, Pa. She and her husband had lived in Ashtabula since 1963.
She was an active member of the Edgewood Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed church activities and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters: Deborah S. Jeffers and Patricia A. Northrop, both of Ashtabula, and Sandra L. Bojanowski of Kingsville Township; a son, Lawrence A. Shaffer Jr., of Ashtabula; 11 grandchildren; and three brothers: Aaron and John Petrilla, of New Kensington, Pa., and George Petrilla of, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Katherine Petrilla.
Funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Zaback - Czup Funeral Home, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with the Rev. Kevin D. Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood cemetery.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association or to the church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Charles C. Steadman
KINGSVILLE TOWNSHIP - Charles C. Steadman, 73, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home, following a two - and - a - half year illness.
Born Dec. 26, 1926, in Conneaut, he was a son of Clifford and Cora (Eighmy) Steadman.
He married Virginia Wakeman on Aug. 11, 1979.
He had lived on Overpass Drive in North Kingsville. For most of his life, he had lived in Conneaut.
He had been employed at SCM, where he worked in the tool crib.
The Army veteran had served in World War II.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 472.
He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes, restoring antique boats and riding motorcycles. He and his wife traveled extensively around the country on their bike.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Linda Walford of Conneaut; a son, Terrance Wagoner of Conneaut; four grandchildren: Frank and Robert Walford and Russell and Heather Wagoner; and four great - grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at the Marcy Funeral Home, a Family Care Group affiliate, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, with the Rev. Jerry Webb, pastor of the Kelloggsville Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will be in East Conneaut cemetery.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Kauko A. Wuori
ASHTABULA - Kauko Allen Wuori, 78, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000, of complications related to Alzheimer's disease.
Born Aug. 27, 1921, he was a son of Kaarlo J. and Hilma (Mickelson) Wuori.
The lifelong Ashtabula resident was baptized at Bethany Lutheran Church.
He was a police officer for the city for 31 years, retiring in 1984 with the rank of captain. Before joining the police force, he had worked as a deckhand on the Great Lakes Freighter Fleet, at the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company and the New York Central Railroad.
During World War II, he gave up sailing on lake boats to volunteer for the Army. He served with the 139th Engineer Battalion in the Pacific Theater, including Guadalcanal, the Solomon Islands, Leyte and the Philippines.
He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Lodge 943 and the FOP Lodge 26. He also was a member of BPO Elks, USA 28.
He enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, golfing, auto racing and attending sporting events with friends and family.
Survivors include two sons: David A. and Brian J., of Ashtabula; two sisters: Karen Wisnyai and Kaino Wheeler, of Ashtabula; and a brother, Kauno Paul Wuori of Kent, Wash.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Karhulahti); a brother, Karlo Wuori; and two sisters: Kathryn Bolte and Gertrude Ivari.
Funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Potti Lakeside Funeral Home, 1329 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, with the Rev. Richard Bowen officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood cemetery.
Calling hours are set from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
