KINGSVILLE TOWNSHIP - Freda C. Martin, 78, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
Funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday at the Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Virginia M. Moyer
SAEGERTOWN, Pa. - Virginia Mae Moyer, 79, formerly of Cochranton, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 1999, at Crawford County Care.
Mrs. Moyer was born Sept. 29, 1920, in Meadville a daughter of Joseph Mercier and Blanche (Chalote) Mercier. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Jack Moyer who died Sept. 22, 1976.
She once worked at Montgomery Ward - Meadville and was a member of Cochranton Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church.
Mrs. Moyer is survived by her daughter; Janie Kral of Linesville, Pa. and two sons, James Moyer of Ashtabula and Dr. John Moyer, Erie.
Funeral will be Tuesday, Oct. 5, at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, South Franklin St., Cochranton, Pa., with the Rev. Monty Sayers officiating. Burial will be at Cochranton cemetery.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Ronald Dickson Funeral Home in Cochranton. A scripture service will be held at the funeral home at 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Helen Lasko
MADISON - Helen Lasko, 83, died Friday, Oct. 1, 1999, at her home.
Born Jan. 16, 1916, in Cleveland, she lived in Madison for the past 45 years.
She was a homemaker, and a caring and loving wife and mother.
Mrs. Lasko was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Madison.
She was employed by and retired from IRC Fibers Corp. in Painesville.
Survivors include her husband, Peter; four daughters, Lenore Hager of New Jersey, Sandra Lambert of Columbus, Paitra Rose of California and Audrey Beach of Dayton; seven grandchildren, Geoffrey and Allison Hager, Bill, Chris and Mark Fisanick, Gwen Davis, and Tim Rose; and a great - granddaughter, Ashlyn Veronica Rose.
Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Rd., Madison. Rev. Luigi Miola will officiate. Burial will be in Madison Memorial cemetery.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Potti Funeral Home, 2726 Hubbard Road, Madison.

Mary J. Davis
MADISON - Mary Jane Davis, 72, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 1999, at UHHS Memorial Hospital of Geneva.
Born Sept. 22, 1927, in Painesville, she was the daughter of Russell and Cecelia Theresa (Zerr) Booth. She was a Madison resident for 65 years, moving from the Painesville/Perry area.
She married James W. Davis on March 9, 1943, at Fort Sill, Okla.
While in Painesville, Mrs. Davis was employed by the Industrial Rayon Corp. in the spinning room for 20 years.
She attended Crossroads Community Church, formerly Madison First Baptist Church.
She loved arranging dried flowers and making her own jellies and jams.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Lou Higgins of Madison; three sons, James R. and Gary L., both of Madison, and Stephen W. of Geneva; seven grandchildren; five great - grandchildren; a sister, Catherine Keilhol of Ormond Beach, Fla.; and four brothers, Edwin Booth of Amery, Miss., Chuck Booth of Youngsville, Pa., and Robert and William Booth, both of Madison.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997; and five brothers, Gene Booth, Russell Booth, Jr., Fred Booth, Gurn Booth and Harold Booth.
Service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Crossroads Community Church, 26 River St., Madison. Rev. Michael Haury of Crossroads Community Church will officiate. Burial will be in Madison Memorial cemetery.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison.

Lewis Robert Bostwick
HAMBDEN - Lewis Robert Bostwick, 85, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, at his home in Hambden.
Born Sept. 8, 1914, in Chardon, he was the son of Robert L. and Frances Bostwick.
He married the former Rose Nonavic in 1943. They met as students at Western Reserve University.
He was also graduated from Western Reserve Academy in Hudson.
He owned Bostwick's Hardware Store in Chardon, which he acquired in 1964, and remained involved in the business until his death. In 1992, he was honored by the Chardon Chamber of Commerce as "Business Person of the Year."
His father, Robert, opened Bostwick's department store in Chardon's Square in 1911. He took over the store in 1940 and moved the store to the Chardon Plaza in 1956.
Mr. Bostwick was a trustee at Chardon Savings Bank and served more than 25 years as a trustee for the Heather Hill Hospital Health Care Center in Chardon.
He was a member of the Rotary Club and a 50 - year member of the Masonic Lodge, both in Chardon.
An avid golfer, he once shot a hole - in - one at Legend Lakes Golf Club.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Barbara Hahl of Boca Raton, Fla. and Jane of Chardon; two sons, Peter of Columbia Station and Robert of Shaker Heights; seven grandchildren; a brother, George of North Carolina; and a sister, Barbara Williamson of California.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Thomas.
Funeral Mass is 1 p.m. Friday at the Church of St. Mary, 401 North St., Chardon.
Calling hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Thrusday at the Ritondaro Funeral Home, 126 South St., Chardon.

Cora E. Kennedy
ASHTABULA - Cora E. Kennedy, 90, of East 46th Street, died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999, at the Lebanon County Manor, Lebanon.
Born Jan. 25, 1909, in Louisberg, W.Va., she was the daughter of Anthony and Laura (Hinkle) Hayes.
A graduate of Dorset High School, she was employed as a buyer at the Carlisle - Allen department store in Ashtabula, retiring in 1993.
Mrs. Kennedy had been a member of First United Methodist Church, Ashtabula, since 1951, where she was active in the Mary Martha Circle, and was a former district president of the Wesley Guild. She was a member of the Covered Bridge Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and was past matron of Floral Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, Andover.
She enjoyed sewing, crafts, quilting, needlepoint and knitting.
Survivors include three sons, Robert E. of El Paso, Texas, Thomas E. of Mason, and Charles N. Kennedy of Cincinnati; six grandchildren; six great - grandchildren; and a sister, Arlene Malmquist of Cleveland.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald, in 1962; a son, Roy A. in 1938; a brother, Calvin Hayes and two sisters, Clara Wagner and Iris Lyons.
Service is 11 a.m. Friday at the Ross - Billman Funeral Home, 526 Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with the Rev. Barry Wolfe of First United Methodist Church, Ashtabula, officiating. Burial will be in Dorset Township cemetery.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

John Lucas
PAINESVILLE - John Lucas, 88, died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999, at Lake Med Rehabilitation Center in Painesville.
Born April 2, 1911, in Painesville, he was a lifelong city resident and the son of F.N. and Mary Lucas.
Mr. Lucas was a mechanic at the former IRC Fibers Inc., Painesville, for more than 30 years. He retired in 1974.
Survivors include three sons, Robert and Allan, both of Indiana and David of Florida; two daughters, Betsy Lucas Klemas of Painesville and Karen Jersey of Florida; a sister, Bessie Robinson of Jefferson; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great - grandchildren and great - great - grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Allie, in 1987; a brother, Roy; and four sisters, Bertha Lucas, Emma Hackley, Susie Malonzi and Ella Jewett.
Funeral is 11 a.m. Friday at the Spear - Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Mentor, with the Rev. Shirley Malzer of Fairport Congregational Church officiating. Interment will be in Riverside cemetery, Painesville.
Calling hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Suzanne J. Parmerter
GIRARD, Pa. - Suzanne J. Parmerter, 86, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, at Pleasant Ridge Manor in Girard, Pa.
Born Dec. 12, 1912, in Vintondale, Pa., she was the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Slavic) Martin.
She retired from Marx Toy Works in Girard, Pa., after 18 years of service.
She was a member of the Girard Free Methodist Church.
She enjoyed painting, sewing and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Hlifka of Conneaut and Susan Wiley of Fairview, Pa.; two sons, James A. Pohman of West Springfield, Pa. and George M. Parmerter of Girard, Pa.; a stepdaughter, Nancy Thornton of Canton, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; three step - grandchildren; 16 great - grandchildren; and a great - step - grandchild.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; five sisters, Mary Gresco, Elizabeth Fox, Helen Drass, Kate Vacco and Anna Herald; and four brothers, Steve, Joe, John and Andrew Martin.
Funeral is 10 a.m. Thursday at the Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home, 11883 Main St., East Springfield, Pa., with the Rev. John Summers officiating. Burial will be in Kelloggsville cemetery in Kelloggsville.
Calling hours 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Helen E. `Mitzie' Stoll
CONCORD TOWNSHIP - Helen E. "Mitzie" Stoll, 67, died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999, at Hospice House, Cleveland,
Born Jan. 2, 1931, in Madison, she was the daughter of John Leonard and Helen Elizabeth (Gall) Bukky. A longtime Lake County resident, she had been a Concord resident since 1995.
She was an employee of the Kroger Co., retiring in 1985 after 33 years of service.
Survivors include four sisters, Norma Scott, Betty Hutson, Joyce Bukky and Mary Hejduk, all of Madison; and three brothers, Tom Bukky of Madison, Norman Bukky of Reno, Nev., and John Bukky of Camden, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, John, Ted and Gene Bukky; and a sister, Sandra.
Graveside service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday in North Madison cemetery, Madison, with the Rev. Luigi Miola of Immaculate Conception Church, Madison Township, officiating.
No calling hours will be observed.
The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, is in charge of the arrangements.

Ruth Audrey Troup
BURTON VILLAGE - Ruth Audrey Troup, 82, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, in Burton Village.
Born April 14, 1917, in Youngstown, she was the daughter of Oscar Sharp and Mamie (Hood) Merriman.
She married William Edward Troup Jr. on Aug. 1, 1940, in Youngstown.
A homemaker, she was a former resident of Cuyahoga Falls and Chardon. She had lived in Huntsburg Township for the past eight years.
Survivors include a son, T. William of Chardon; a nephew, Dan Lamb of Austintown; and two nieces, Deborah Hayden of Adron and Sherry Creighton of North Jackson Township.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, five sisters and a brother.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon. The Rev. Jim Gear, pastor of Christ Presbyterian Church in Chesterland will officiate. Burial will be in Northlawn cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 7861 Crile Road, Concord 44077 or the Alzheimer's Association, Cleveland Chapter, 12200 Fairhill Road, Cleveland 44120.

Freda C. Martin
CONNEAUT - Freda Cleo Martin, 78, of Wrights Avenue, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home, Kingsville Township.
The daughter of Emory H. and Alice Lorena (Sexton) Legg, she was born Jan. 28, 1922, in Charleston, W.Va. A West Virginia resident most of her life, she had lived in the area the past four years.
She had worked in the housekeeping department at the Charleston Area Medical Center.
Mrs. Martin enjoyed gospel music, canning, baking, sewing and working word books.
Survivors include her husband, Samuel, whom she married April 17, 1978, in Charleston, W.Va.; a daughter, Mary Copeland; a son, Samuel; six grandchildren; five great - grandchildren; two sisters, Colleen Gravely of Bethel, and Phyllis Dart of San Mateo, Calif.; and a brother, William Legg of Cross Lanes, W.Va.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Herbert Olaker; a brother, Roy Legg; and a sister, Norma Hartford.
Service is 11 a.m. today at the Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, with the Rev. Kenneth Roberts of the Pentecostal Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood cemetery, Ashtabula Township.
No calling hours will be observed.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

The Rev. Earlie L. Watson
AKRON - The Rev. Earlie L. Watson, 85, of Akron, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, at Ridgewood Place in Akron.
He was born July 9, 1914, in Eastman, Ga., and lived in Painesville and Jefferson before moving to Akron 2 1/2 years ago.
He was truck driver for Condon Distributors of Painesville, retiring in 1976. He was a former pastor at Central Baptist Church in Jefferson, Union Missionary Baptist Church in Ashtabula.
He was a Mason wishful Master of the Mount Oliver Chapter.
Survivors include his wife, Mary, to whom he was married 26 years; five daughters, Debora Jenkins, Diane James and Evelyn Turner, all of Ashtabula, and Ella Mae Sealey and Evon "Tootsie" Watson, both of Painesville; a son, Earlie "Butch" L. Watson Jr. of Painesville; two stepdaughters, Bonnie Murphy of Denver, Colo., and Helen Vaughn of Akron; three stepsons, Diego Murphy of Orlando, Fla., Stanford Murphy of Akron, and John Murphy of Massillon; a sister, Lucille Wilcox of Pompano Beach, Fla.; 35 grandchildren and 15 great - grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Minnie Lee Barber and Aldonia Gertrude Wooten.
Service is noon Friday at the New Hope Baptist Church, 428 W. Jackson St., Painesville. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery in Painesville.
Calling hour is 11 a.m. to noon Friday at the church.

Virginia L. Kolar
EAST SPRINGFIELD, Pa. - Virginia L. Kolar, 78, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, at Millcreek Community Hospital, Erie, Pa.
The daughter of Harry and Lucy (English) Schultz, she was born March 14, 1921, in Girard, Pa.
She retired after 35 years of service at Girard Manufacturing, Girard, Pa. During World War II, she worked at Lord's Corp.
She attended the Federated Church in East Springfield.
Her hobbies included gardening, working crossword puzzles, sewing dresses and spending time with her grandson.
When her daughter was younger, Mrs. Kolar enjoyed sewing matching dresses.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Joe, whom she married May 11, 1956; a daughter, Audrey Faye Kolar of East Springfield, Pa.; four sisters, Maxine Peters and Harriet Felege of Erie, Pa., Phyllis Gresh of Florida, and Myrtle Hazen of East Springfield; three brothers, Melvin, Cecil and Homer Schultz, all of Florida; and a grandson Douglas Merritt.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Vesta Schultz; a brother, Ken Schultz; and a 4 - year - old son, Bobby Simkovich.
Private service is today, with the Rev. Ed Huntley officiating. Burial will be in Springfield cemetery, East Springfield.
No calling hours will be observed.
The Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home, East Springfield, Pa., is in charge of the arrangements.

Cheryl Mathews - Prock
NORTH RIDGEVILLE - Cheryl Jeanne Mathews - Prock, 52, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, at her home.
The daughter of George A. and Evelyn (Betts) Mathews, she was born May 27, 1947, in Kinsman.
A former Kinsman resident, she had lived in the North Ridgeville area for several years.
She was a 1965 graduate of Badger High School in Kinsman, and a 1969 graduate of Kent State University, where she majored in education.
She was director of education for Meadowmark Computer Services in Cleveland.
She battled ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) for three years. She dedicated the last two years of her life to developing a special Web page (https://alsnetwork.en.com/index.html) for persons afflicted with ALS. Her Web page attracted responses from more than 18, 000 people around the world.
Survivors include her parents of Kinsman; her husband, David Prock, whom she married April 16, 1994; two daughters, Cherise Lambert of Minneapolis, Minn., and Christina Schwind of Lorain; a stepdaughter, Rhonda Prock of North Ridgeville; a stepson, David Prock of Los Angeles; a brother, Douglas Mathews of Cleveland Heights; her former husband, Thomas Zuppke; and two granddaughters.
Service is noon Saturday at the Baumgardner Funeral Home, a Family Care Group affiliate, 8569 Main St., Kinsman. The Rev. Dr. John F. Helgeson will officiate. Burial will be in Kinsman cemetery.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
