Services for Mary E. Hasselschwert were held Wednesday in St. John's Catholic Church with Father Dennis Walsh officiating. Burial was in Riverside cemetery. Organist was Dave Moninger. Pallbearers were Kenny Diemer, Lauren Brown, Joe Lenhart, Jim Miller and Norman and Larry Hasselschwert. Preceding her in death were two brothers, John and Bernard Brown. Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Services were held Wednesday for Margrate M. Plummer in St. John Lutheran Church with Rev. Donald Luhring officiating. Burial was in Riverside cemetery. Music was by Jim Oberhaus and Jan Kaiser. Pallbearers were Timothy, Corey, Brian, Thomas, Paul and Craig Plummer, Greggory Oberhaus and Jeffery Goldnetz. Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Leland Bowling, 70, rural Defiance, died at 11:40 a.m. Tuesday in his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home with Dr. John McKay and Rev. Larry Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Myers cemetery. Visitation is from 7-9 p.m. Thursday.

CHARLOE - Freda Susanna Carnahan, 84, died at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday in her daughter's home in Charloe.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Oakwood, with Pastor Raymond Matson officiating. Burial will be in Sherman cemetery, Oakwood. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday.

Sullivan Ira Christiansen, 22 months old, Defiance, died at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday in Hospice Home of Northeast Indiana, Fort Wayne.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Robert Rudolph officiating. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Friday.

ANTWERP - Christopher (Bug) James Thompson, 9, Antwerp, died at 1:35 p.m. Monday in Paulding County Hospital from an apparent drowning.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, with Sam Stiner officiating. Burial will be in Maumee cemetery, Antwerp. Visitation is from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday.

CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Paulding native Carol Rae Steele, 64, Cape Coral, died Friday at Hospice House North.
Services and entombment were held Monday in Fort Myers. A memorial service will be at a later date in Victory Barn Church, Edgerton. Handling arrangements is Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.

OAKWOOD - Mary (Betsy) Elizabeth Schudel, 29, Oakwood, died Tuesday afternoon from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident in Defiance County that also killed her son, Damien.
Joint services for Mary and Damien Schudel will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Defiance, with Pastors Robert Dean and Keith Hunsinger officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Sunday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Monday in the church.

OAKWOOD - Damien (Squirt) L. Schudel, 11, Oakwood, died at 5:03 p.m. Tuesday afternoon in Defiance Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident in Defiance County. His mother, Mary (Betsy), was also killed in the accident.
