Glen Hohenberger
NAPOLEON - Glen H. Hohenberger, 89, Napoleon, died at 3:50 p.m. Saturday in Country View Haven, Napoleon.
He was born May 4, 1913, in Defiance County, the son of Gale and Ella (Roehrs) Hohenberger. In 1941, he married
Ruth Scofield, who survives. He was a farmer, former employee of Zeller Corp. and a member of Florida United Methodist Church, where he was a former trustee.
Also surviving are a son, Larry, Napoleon; a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Janis) Hubert, Defiance; a sister, Mrs. Rex (Irma) Aumend, Anderson, Ind.; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was a brother, Forrest.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Snyder officiating. Entombment will be in Riverview Memory Gardens mausoleum. Visitation is from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday.
Preferred memorials are to HOME Society of Country View Haven, Hospice of Henry County or the church.
Mary Etter
DUPONT - Mary E. Etter, 84, Dupont, died at 10:55 p.m. Saturday in her daughter's home in Defiance.
She was born May 30, 1918, in Paulding County, the daughter of Alfred and Dora (Weisz) Caldwell. In 1938, she married
Elias Etter, who died in 1979. She was an Avon and Tupperware representative and a former member of Our Night Out Club, Community Club and Senior Citizens Club, all of Dupont.
Surviving are a son, Edward, Oakwood; three daughters, Mrs. Kerry (Joan) Llewellyn and Dianna McClure, both of Continental, and Mrs. Dennis (Joyce) Stoller, Defiance; and 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, with Rev. Paul Carder officiating. Burial will be in North Mt. Zion cemetery, Continental. Visitation is from noon-9 p.m. Tuesday.
Preferred memorials are to Paulding County hospice program.
Ashley Heath
NAPOLEON - Ashley Victoria Heath, 18, Napoleon, died Saturday afternoon from injuries sustained in a car-semi accident at U.S. 24 and Glenwood Avenue in Napoleon.
She was born Oct. 25, 1983, in Saginaw, Mich., the daughter of Gary and Rebecca (Bauer) Heath. She was a senior at Napoleon High School and would have graduated next Sunday. She was a member of the National Honor Society, a soccer player for the high school and City Soccer League and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Liberty Center. She was an employee at Big Boy Family Restaurant in Napoleon, a former employee of Napoleon's East of Chicago and Pizza Hut and a volunteer at Henry County Animal Shelter.
Surviving are her parents, Napoleon; a brother, Derek, Napoleon; and grandparents, Duane Heath and Clifford and Gloria Bauer, all of Saginaw.
Preceding her in death was a grandmother, Shirley Heath.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Luke Lutheran Church, Clinton Township, Wauseon, with Revs. Randy Gragg and Richard Behnke officiating. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw. Visitation is from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, and 12-2 p.m. Wednesday in the church.
Preferred memorials are to the Henry County Humane Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
Kenneth Morris
TRENTON, Mich. - Word was received of the May 20 death of Defiance native Kenneth J. Morris, 74, Trenton.
He was born Oct. 2, 1927, in Defiance, the son of Ben and Mildred (Corbett) Morris. In 1949, he married
Pauline Schwarz, who died in 2000. He attended Defiance College, received an undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University and a master's degree from Ohio State University, Columbus. He was a retired teacher, having taught in the public school systems in Delaware, Ohio, and Wyandotte, Mich.
Surviving are a daughter, Kay, Trenton; a son, Ben, Trenton; and a sister, Carolyn Small, Defiance.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. John United Church of Christ, Defiance, with Rev. Sam Schroeder officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, Defiance.
Martha Smith
WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - Former Wauseon resident Martha Ellen Smith, 93, Winter Haven, died Friday.
She was born April 17, 1909, in Delta, the daughter of Harvey and Eva (Sheets) Walker. In 1931, she married
Vernard Smith, who preceded her in death. She graduated with an associate teacher's certificate from Bowling Green State University and was a teacher in a two-room schoolhouse in Swanton. She was a member of First Christian Church, Wauseon.
Surviving are four sons, Jack of Punta Gorda, Fla., Donald of Lake Hamilton, Fla., and Richard and Charles, both of Winter Haven, Fla.; and nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were three sisters, Margaret Keiser, Marjorie Graetz and Esther Greer; and two brothers, Glen and Walter Walker.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home, Wauseon, with Pastor Mike Salsbury officiating. Burial will be in Wauseon Union cemetery. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.

Geraldine M. Minsel, 83, Defiance, died at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday in Defiance Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Dennis Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery. Visitation is from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m.
Preferred memorials are to the church or Defiance Senior Center.

ANTWERP - Gertrude Rister, 89, Antwerp, died at 6:55 p.m. Monday in Hickory Creek of Hicksville.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, with Rev. Randy Gragg officiating. Burial will be in Maumee cemetery, Antwerp. Visitation is from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. today.
Preferred memorials are to Hickory Creek of Hicksville activities fund.

CONTINENTAL - John A. Miller, 55, Continental, died Monday afternoon in Medical College of Ohio Hospital, Toledo, as the result of injuries sustained in a one-car accident Monday afternoon in Hancock County north of McComb.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Pleasantview Missionary Baptist Church, Junction, with Pastor Chris Crowe and Rev. Otis Mason officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens, rural Defiance, with military graveside services accorded by Defiance VFW Post 3360. Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Thursday in Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental, and for an hour prior to services Friday at the church.

GROVER HILL - Marvin L. Bunn Jr., 51, Grover Hill, died Tuesday morning at Van Wert County Hospital.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Hicksville Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Pat Holt officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home cemetery, Hicksville. Visitation is after 3 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville, and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Bavaria, with Father DeFloover officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in Snyder Funeral Home, Holgate. A rosary service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday.

VAN WERT - Dorthy I. Lytle, 91, Van Wert, died at 8:43 p.m. Sunday in the Vancrest Health Care Center, Van Wert, following an extended illness.
