Nellie E. (Vogt) Dickman, 82, Defiance, died at 3:15 p.m. Friday in her home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. John's Catholic Church, Delphos. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Harter and Son Memorial Chapel, Delphos. There will be a VFW Auxiliary service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday followed by a wake service at 8:30 p.m.
Preferred memorials are to St. John's Catholic Church in Delphos, Hospice the Caring Way of Defiance or St. Mary's Catholic Church, Defiance.

Ena LeViness
VAN WERT - Ena L. LeViness, 89, Van Wert, died at 11:10 a.m. Friday in Lima Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert, with Dr. Edward Jillson officiating. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery, Van Wert.
Preferred memorials are to Van Wert Visiting Nurses or Van Wert EMS.

Theodora Heidepriem
Services for Theodora C.L. Heidepriem were held Friday in St. John Lutheran Church with Rev. Donald Luhring officiating. Burial was in Riverview Memory Gardens. Music was by Jan Kaiser and Mike and Rachel Kemper. Pallbearers were Steve Waldman, Monte Perry, Brandon Heidepriem, Tom Bok and Wesley and Nicholas Schappert. Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Ray Hall
Services for Ray Hall were held Friday at Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Rev. Max Begley officiating. Burial was in Riverview Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were Lee and Randy Hall, Buddie Armes, Ron Eberly, Dave Rupple, Jeff Bell and Dave Plassman. Among survivors are two half brothers, Dan and Troy Hall; and a half sister, Violet Harris.

Harold Babcock
Former Napoleon resident Harold W. Babcock, 70, Defiance, died Sunday afternoon at Brookview Healthcare Center. Arrangements are pending at Walker Mortuary, Napoleon.

Bessie Peters
Bessie M. (Bachman) Peters, 90, Defiance, died at 7:17 a.m. Sunday in Harborside Healthcare.
She was born Sept. 7, 1911, in Henry County, the daughter of Clyde and Delilah (Smith) Demland. In 1930, she married Tellis (Skiney) Bachman, who died in 1965. In 1979, she married Duane Peters, who died in 1996. She was a homemaker and a member of Poplar Ridge Church of the Brethren and Gideons International.
Surviving are a son, Douglas Bachman, Defiance; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Robert (Jeanine) Stevens and Mrs. Richard (Shirley) Baldwin, both of Defiance; a stepson, Hal, Defiance; a brother, Nelson Demland, Defiance; a sister, Edith Russell, Defiance; and two grandchildren, nine stepgrandchildren and 23 great-stepgrandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a brother, Claude Demland; and a half sister, Ruth Olive.
Services will be at 12 p.m. Wednesday in the church with Rev. Glen Whisler officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 1-9 p.m. Tuesday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
Preferred memorials are to Gideons International, the church building fund or a charity of the donor's choice.

Yvonne Stantz
Yvonne R. Stantz, 78, Defiance, died at 9:03 p.m. Saturday in Harborside Healthcare Center.
She was born April 4, 1924, in Defiance, the daughter of Floyd and Gladys (Rose) Chase. In 1946, she married Glennis Stantz, who survives. She was owner of Loft Antique Shop until retiring in 1985, and a member of Sherwood Open Bible Church, Defiance Society of Artists and Englewood Florida Art Society. She was past officer in Ohio CCL, a member of Tiffin Township Friendship Club and a former youth choir director at Evansport United Methodist Church.
Also surviving are her mother, New London; three daughters, Mrs. Gilbert (Regina) Montez of Sherwood, Mrs. Paul (Karen) Figy of Defiance and Mrs. Paul (Gwen) Reuben, Turlock, Calif.; a son, Gary, Hamilton Lake, Ind.; three sisters, Mrs. Harster (Anita Jean) Wonder of Hot Spring, Ark., Mrs. Harland (Joyce) Huestis of New London and Mrs. Edwin (Gloria) Aluzas, Claremont, Calif.; two brothers, Mark Chase of Norfolk, Va., and Stuart Chase, New London; and 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Rev. George Alley officiating. Burial will be in Evansport cemetery. Visitation is from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday.
Preferred memorials are to American Cancer Society, American Lung Association or the church's classroom building fund.

Russell Coon
ANTWERP - Russell (Bill) Coon, 90, Antwerp, died at 3:07 a.m. Sunday in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born Jan. 18, 1912, in Paulding, the son of James and Ellen (Smith) Coon. In 1934, he married Virginia Caryer, who died in 1999. He was a farmer, a former Crane Township trustee, a former Cecil Grange member and a member of Antwerp United Methodist Church where he served as a past trustee.
Surviving are two sons, Russell of Georgetown, Ky., and Gene, Connelly Springs, N.C.; a daughter, Janet Wirick, Paulding; a sister, Gertie Stewart, Cecil; and nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Also preceding him in death were a son, in infancy; two sisters, Eliza Littlejohn and Dorothy Alshouse; and two stepbrothers, Charles and Paul Smith.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the church with Rev. Gregory Swann officiating. Burial will be in Maumee cemetery, Antwerp. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday in Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
Preferred memorials are to the church.

Harold Burkholder
ARCHBOLD - Harold E. Burkholder, 100, Archbold, died Saturday evening at his daughter's home in Huntington, Ind.
He was born June 27, 1901, near Ridgeville Corners, the son of Noah and Ida (Rice) Burkholder. In 1929, he married Alvera Lindau, who died in 1995. He was a farmer, sheep shearer, wool buyer and a member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church, Archbold.
Surviving are three sons, Glen and Harley of Stryker and Ralph, Greenville; a daughter, Mrs. Veryl (Norma) Roth, Huntington; and 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were a sister, Louella Gorsuch; and a grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the church with Pastor Thomas Lyberg and Dr. Veryl Roth officiating. Burial will be in Archbold cemetery. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday in Short Funeral Home, Archbold.
Preferred memorials are to the church or Lutheran Social Services.

J. Rex Hubbard
SEDONA, Ariz. - Former Defiance resident J. Rex Hubbard, 75, Sedona, died Saturday in Phoenix.
He was born Sept. 21, 1926, in Paulding County, the son of Lester and Faye (Stearns) Hubbard. His wife, June, survives. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and later graduated from Ohio State University, where he was a member of its marching band. He was also a member of Rotary, singing groups and other civic organizations.
Also surviving are two sons, Jerrold of Germany and Brodie, Arizona; a stepmother, Jane Hubbard, Defiance; a sister, Joanna Shannon, Lakeland, Fla.; a brother, E. Keith, Defiance; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preferred memorials are to Defiance Rotary Foundation, P.O. Box 7177, Defiance 43512.

Richard Schindler
BRYAN - Richard J. Schindler, 75, Bryan, died Sunday morning in his home.
He was born Feb. 13, 1927, in Defiance County, the son of Edward and Irene (Batt) Schindler. In 1949, he married M. Ann Ensman, who survives. He was an electrician for 35 years with IBEW Local 8 in Toledo, a farmer and a U.S. Navy veteran serving during World War II in the Seabees. He was the national commander and life member of Navy Seabee Veterans of America, a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Bryan, Eagles Aerie 2233, Ney American Legion Post 0680 and Defiance Knights of Columbus and a life member of Bryan VFW Post 2489.
Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Sharon) Sanders of Edgerton, Mrs. Paul (Shirley) Breidenbaugh of Ney, Mrs. Dean (Vicki) Frisbie of Pioneer and Mrs. Christopher (Christine) Brown, Hicksville; a son, Rick, Bryan; three brothers, five sisters, 11 grandchildren, a stepgrandchild, six great-grandchildren, and a great-stepgrandchild.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister in infancy.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the church with Father Charles Ritter officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic cemetery, Edgerton, with military rites accorded by Bryan VFW Post 2489. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday in Rice Funeral Home, Bryan, with a rosary service at 8:30 p.m.
Preferred memorials are to Navy Seabee Memorial Scholarship Fund or Community Hospitals of Williams County Hospice.

Bernice Shinn
NAPOLEON - Former Lima resident Bernice Evelyn Shinn, 86, Napoleon, died at 1:55 a.m. Sunday.
She was born Aug. 28, 1915, in Daviess County, Ind., the daughter of Henry and Sarah (Haskins) Hatfield. She married Kenneth Shinn, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and member of Allentown United Methodist Church, Lima.
Surviving is a son, Delbert, Napoleon.
Also preceding her in death was a son, Dennis.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Siferd Westwood Chapel with Rev. Michael Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. Visitation is after 9 a.m. Saturday.
Preferred memorials are to the Shinn Family Scholarship.

Walter Mansfield
WAUSEON - Walter Mansfield, 62, Wauseon, died Sunday in Toledo Hospital. Among survivors is his wife, Rebecca. Arrangements are pending at Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home.

Mildred Higgins
Mildred (Millie) G. Higgins, 75, Defiance, died at 10:25 a.m. Thursday in Laurels of Defiance.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home, with Rev. Don Leonard officiating. Burial will be in Rochester cemetery, Paulding. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Sunday.
Preferred memorials are to American Heart Association or American Diabetic Association.

Shirley Matson
CLOVERDALE - Shirley Marie (Betts) Matson, 64, Cloverdale, died Monday in her home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Harter & Son Memorial Chapel, Delphos, with Rev. David Howell officiating. Burial will be in Ottawa River cemetery, Rimer. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Saturday and 2-8 p.m. Sunday.

Donna Miller
Services for Donna Miller were held Thursday in Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home with Rev. George Fisher officiating. Burial was in Zion cemetery, Fulton County. Readings were by Amber and Bruce Miller and music was provided by Brian Shuherk and Alan and Michelle Miller. Pallbearers were Jeremy and Jason Shirkey, Corey, Caleb and Alan Miller, Brian Shurherk and Nicholas Ryan.

J. Basil Winners
Services for J. Basil Winners were held Thursday at Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Dr. Roger Braun officiating. Burial was in Riverside cemetery. Pallbearers were David and Jack Winners, Kent Smith, Rob Benfield, Mel White and Leon Jones.
