Beryl Jones
SHERWOOD - Former Bryan resident Beryl L. Jones, 70, Sherwood, died Sunday in Community Hospitals of Williams County-Bryan.
He was born Oct. 12, 1931, in Bryan, the son of Linn and Mabel (Diemer) Jones. He was a truck driver for Consolidated Freightway, Atlanta, Ga., retiring after 31 years, and a member of the Teamsters.
Surviving are five sons, Larry of Thomasville, Mich., Tom of Weidman, Mich., James of Sherwood and Billy Oost and Steve Richards, both of Pioneer; six daughters, Joni Hurd of Defiance, Mrs. Ronald (Susan) Krabbe of Peru, Ind., Mrs. Patrick (Debra) Branham and Rebecca Jones Wagoner, both of Pioneer, Mrs. Walter (Vickie) Grinnell of Sherwood and Mrs. Tony (Tanya) Davis, Montpelier; and 33 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, David; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Rice Funeral Home, Bryan, with Rev. Larry Snavely officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, Montpelier. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Donald Clevenger
VAUGHNSVILLE - Donald Ray Clevenger, 91, Vaughnsville, died at 2:50 p.m. Saturday in Calvary Manor, Glandorf.
He was born Nov. 24, 1910, in Vaughnsville, the son of William and Bessie (Dunlap) Clevenger. In 1935, he married
Evelyn Purcell, who died in 2001. He was a bus driver for Vaughnsville and Columbus Grove schools, a farmer and member of Vaughnsville United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, G. Ray of Defiance and G. Jay, Vaughnsville; a daughter, Carole Staver, Lima; a twin sister, Dorothy Busch, Glandorf; and nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death was a son, Thomas.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, with Pastor Don Hague officiating. Burial will be in Vaughnsville cemetery. Visitation is from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
Preferred memorials are to Vaughnsville Community Center or the church.
Nancy Hummer
VERO BEACH, Fla. - Former Defiance resident Nancy Linhardt Peacock Hummer, 75, Vero Beach, died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday in Northside Hospital, Atlanta, Ga.
She was born May 19, 1926, in Defiance, the daughter of Walter and Alberta (Markey) Linhardt. In 1948, she married
Donald Peacock, who died in 1993. She attended Wells College in Aurora, N.Y., and was a graduate of Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill. The former member of the board of directors of American Arthritis Foundation in Chicago was a member of the Saddle & Cycle Club in Chicago, Riomar Bay Yacht Club in Vero Beach, Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority and Republican Women. She also volunteered at the Center For the Arts and Indian River Memorial Hospital, Vero Beach.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Nanette) Hufford, Marietta, Ga.; and a special friend, Arlene Parsons, Vero Beach.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Riverside cemetery, Defiance. Handling arrangements is Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home.

HICKSVILLE - Velma N. Nestor, 85, Hicksville, died at 9:15 a.m. Thursday in Hickory Creek of Hicksville.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville, with Pastor David Long officiating. Burial will be in Six Corners cemetery, Hicksville. Visitation is after 6 p.m. today and one hour prior to services Saturday.

OTTAWA - Mikayla Lynn Bowers was stillborn at 11:48 p.m. Tuesday in St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in New Creation Church, Ottawa, with Rev. Ken Pollitz officiating. Burial will be in Harman cemetery, Gilboa. Visitation is one hour prior to services Monday at the church. Handling arrangements is Love Funeral Home, Ottawa.

NAPOLEON - Former Hamler resident Irvin H. Flory, 94, Napoleon, died Wednesday night at Henry County Hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Hamler with Rev. Budke officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery, Napoleon. Visitation is from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in Snyder Wesche Funeral Home, Napoleon.

PAULDING - Donald W. Becker, 78, Paulding, died at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday in his residence.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in First Church of Christ with Rev. James McPeak officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Catholic cemetery. Visitation is from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Friday in the church.
