Edith Showman
LIBERTY CENTER - Edith Melba Showman, 80, Liberty Center, died Tuesday morning in her home.
She was born May 19, 1921, in Oak Hill, the daughter of Jenkin and Cora (Evans) Alban. In 1943, she married
Bert Showman, who survives. She was a homemaker and member of Liberty Center United Methodist Church, its United Methodist Women and Gilbert-Baughman American Legion Post 492 Auxiliary, Liberty Center.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Jane) Weller, Continental; two sons, Ray of Grove City and Ralph, Galloway; two brothers, William of Columbus and Everett, Ocalla, Fla.; and five grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Preceding her in death were a brother, Milton Alban; and a granddaughter.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, with Pastor David MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in Young's cemetery, Liberty Center. Visitation is from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
Preferred memorials are to Hospice of Henry County or a charity of the donor's choice.
Evelyn Riegsecker
MONTPELIER- Former West Unity resident Evelyn Ruth Riegsecker, 87, Montpelier, died Tuesday morning in Community Hospitals of Williams County-Bryan.
She was born March 23, 1915, in Whitehouse, the daughter of Frederick and Elizabeth (Rhora) Kohli. She married
Elmer Storrs Sr., who preceded her in death. She then married
Maynard Riegsecker, who also died. She worked at Campbell Soup Supply Co. in Napoleon and IT&T Higbee Manufacturing, Archbold, and was a member of GALA Senior Citizens of Montpelier.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Dick (Sharon) Appleton of Pittsford, Mich., Mrs. Bob (Judy) Hulbert and Mrs. Vernon (Ruth) Merrifield, both of West Unity, and Mrs. Richard (Connie) Reed, Toledo; and 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Nancy Bentley; a son, Elmer Storrs Jr.; two sisters, Katherine Hall and Mary Harris; two brothers, Lester and Frederick Kohli; and two granddaughters.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Hollingshead Funeral Home, West Unity, with Pastor John Wommer officiating. Burial will be in Pettisville cemetery. Visitation is from 7-9 p.m. today and one hour prior to services Thursday.
Preferred memorials are to Living Hope Church, West Unity.

NAPOLEON - Former Holgate resident Lester Memmer, 91, Napoleon, died this morning in Defiance Hospital. Arrangements are pending at Snyder Funeral Home, Holgate.

WAUSEON - Mable I. George, 100, Wauseon, died Tuesday at Harborside Healthcare, Defiance. Arrangements are pending at Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home, Wauseon.
Leona Wisda
Services for Leona M. Wisda were held Tuesday in St. John's Catholic Church with Rev. George Wenzinger officiating. Burial was in Riverside cemetery. Organist was Dave Moninger. Pallbearers were Jonas and Brian Wisda, Keith Miller, Martin Koester, Chuck James IV and Jason Kepler. Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home handled arrangements.
Shirley Ullinskey
Services for Shirley Ullinskey were held Tuesday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Father Tim Kummerer officiating. Burial was in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Soloist was Pam Groves. Pallbearers were Lewis, James, Dennis and Jeff Ullinskey, Ron Caillouet and Dan Grimes.
Margaret Dean
EDON - Margaret Dean, 95, Edon, died at 5 p.m. Sunday in Community Hospitals of Williams County-Bryan.
She was born Oct. 20, 1906, in Montpelier, the daughter of Frederick and Gay (Ritchey) Bauer. In 1927, she married
Harold Dean, who died in 1968. She was a homemaker and member of Edon Church of Christ.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Maurice (Sherrie) Kaiser, Edon; a son, Jack, Edon; and 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
Also preceding her in death were a brother, Jacob (Bud) Bauer; and a sister, Geraldine (Dena) Knecht.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the church with Dan Gallagher officiating. Burial will be in Edon cemetery. Visitation is from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday in Krill Funeral Home, Edon.
Preferred memorials are to the church or American Heart Association.
Inez Pierman
OTTAWA - Inez B. Pierman, 96, Ottawa, died at 7:35 a.m. Monday in Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa.
She was born July 10, 1905, in Leipsic, the daughter of Christian and Carrie (Wineland) Pfahler. In 1934, she married
Raymond Pierman, who died in 1961. She was a homemaker, a former member of Order of Eastern Star, Ottawa, and a member of Ohio Farmers Union, Riley Creek Methodist Church and its Women's Society.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Hilda) Musser of Lima and Annabell Boff, Defiance.
Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Bertha Mosier and Virgie Walther; and three infant brothers.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Ottawa, with Rev. Ted Maust officiating. Burial will be in Harman cemetery, Gilboa. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today and after 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Preferred memorials are to the church or Putnam Acres Care Center.
Carolyn Bennett
SWANTON - Carolyn Lucille Bennett, 65, Swanton, died Monday morning in Toledo Hospital.
She was born Sept. 20, 1936, in Swanton, the daughter of Roy and Zena (Cole) Bennett. She was a nurse's aide at Bessie Stevens' Nursing Home in Swanton and Elizabeth Scott Memorial Care Center, Maumee. She was a member of Shiloh Christian Union Church and Fulton County Genealogy Society, both of Delta.
Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Floyd (Dolores) Myles of Liberty Center, Mrs. Wilbur (Thelma) Overmyer of Maumee, Jeanie of Napoleon and Ruth, Swanton.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the church with Pastor Chuck Whitmire officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh cemetery, Delta. Visitation is from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center.
Preferred memorials are to the church building fund or Gideons International.
Barbara Galliers
BEREA, Ky. - Former Defiance resident Barbara A. Galliers, 63, Berea, died Saturday evening in her home. Surviving are two children. Arrangements are pending at Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home.
William (Larry) Manahan
Services for William (Larry) Lawrence Manahan will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Paul's United Methodist Church with Pastors Todd Anderson and Suzanne Allen officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens. Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to services Thursday in the church. Handling arrangements is Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home. Additional survivors include a brother, Fred, Kendallville, Ind.; and two sisters, Betty Bailey of Fort Wayne and Gwen Comadoll, Lake City, Minn. Preceding him in death were his parents; and a sister, Jean Saari.

Services for Clarence (Pete) G. Hendricks were held Monday in St. John's Catholic Church with Fathers George Wenzinger and Jim Serrick officiating. Organist was Dave Moninger. Entombment was in Riverside cemetery mausoleum. Pallbearers were Jeff Mayer, Nick Varano, Dave Lawson, Allen Detter, Steve Weber and Craig and Jeff Hendricks. Shirley Ullinskey
Shirley J. Ullinskey, 67, Defiance, died at 8:52 p.m. Thursday in Toledo Hospital.
She was born Dec. 4, 1934, in Defiance, the daughter of Lewis and Hattie (Dershem) Frisinger Sr. In 1952, she married
Carl Ullinskey, who survives. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Defiance Eagles Auxiliary.
Also surviving are four daughters, Carla Sharman, Shelia Creeden, and Mrs. Daniel (Gail) Grimes, all of Defiance, and Mrs. Ron (Peggy) Caillouet, Auburn, Ind.; four sons, Lewis of Youngstown, Dennis and Jeffrey of Defiance, and James, Paulding; two brothers, Frank Frisinger of Defiance and Lewis Frisinger, Fort Wayne; two sisters, Mrs. Bernard (Florence) Sieg of Monroe, Mich. and Mrs. Allan (Wilma) Shaffer, Fort Wayne; and 20 grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; 10 brothers, Chester, Lester, Harold, Edward, Quent, Walter, Forrest, Arley, Robert and Lloyd Frisinger; and two sisters, Gladys Marihugh and Pauline Garman.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home, with Father Tim Kummerer officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens. Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Monday.

Selena Young
Selena Marie Young, Defiance, was stillborn at 8:04 a.m. Thursday in Defiance Hospital.
She was the daughter of Heather Salinas and Oscar Young III.
Surviving are her parents, Defiance; maternal grandparents, Don and Freda Silva of Defiance and Louis and Mrya Salinas, Holgate; and paternal grandparents, Oscar II and Annette Young, Saginaw, Mich.
Preceding her in death were two brothers and twin sisters.
There will be no services. Snyder Funeral Home, Holgate, is in charge of arrangements.

Leona Wisda
Leona M. Wisda, 85, Defiance, died at 2:15 a.m. Saturday in Defiance Hospital.
She was born Sept. 30, 1916, in Delaware Bend, the daughter of Charles and Rose (Jacob) Hoeffel. In 1939, she married
Frank Wisda, who died in 1963. She was a homemaker and a child care provider until the age of 80, baby-sitting for over 300 children. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church.
Surviving are three sons, Ed of Defiance, Bernard of Cecil and David, Bishop, Ga.; four daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Janice) Miller of Paulding, Firma Koester of Bowling Green, Mrs. Walt (Mary) Kepler of Bryan, and Marlene, Defiance; a sister, Mrs. Howard (Rita) Shock, Defiance; and 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were six sisters, Sister Firma Hoeffel C.S.A., Gertrude Simonis, Madonna Simonis, Florence Moser, Kathryn Miller and Donelda Schindler; two brothers, Leo and Al Hoeffel; an infant brother; and a granddaughter.
Services will be at noon Tuesday in the church, with Father George Wenzinger officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery. Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Monday at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home, where a vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
