Aretha Hausch
STRYKER - Aretha C. Hausch, 87, Stryker, died Wednesday in Community Hospitals of Williams County-Bryan.
She was born Nov. 30, 1914, in Fayette, the daughter of James and Barbara (Short) Armstrong. In 1937, she married
Cooney Hausch, who died in 1984. She owned and operated the former Panthers' Den, Stryker, and was a member of First Lutheran Church, Stryker.
Surviving are three sons, Robert of Stryker and Lawrence and Fred, both of West Unity; three brothers, Lloyd and Jesse Armstrong, both of Archbold, and Carl Armstrong, Wauseon; and 53 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Janice Mellon; a brother, Robert Armstrong, in infancy; two sisters, Pearl Sigg and Hilda Dohm; and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the church with Rev. Dane Meuschke officiating. Burial will be in Floral Grove cemetery, West Unity. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Friday in Grisier Funeral Home, Stryker.
Preferred memorials are to a charity of the family's choice.
James Feehan
WINTERHAVEN, Fla. - Former Henry County and Toledo resident James C. Feehan, 89, Winterhaven, died Wednesday in his home. Arrangements are pending at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler.
Betty Hare
BUSHNELL, Fla. - Former Bryan resident Betty Jane Hare, 76, Bushnell, died Sunday in Ocala Regional Medical Center, Ocala.
She was born April 16, 1925, in Bryan, the daughter of George and Della (Hitt) Julliard. In 1945, she married
William Hare, who died in 1997. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are a son, William, Austin, Texas; five daughters, Pamela King of Montpelier, Bonnie Schwartzengraber of Bryan, Sheila Lehman of Bushnell, Barbara Gray of Niceville and Shelly Duncan, Adrian, Mich.; and 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Oberlin-Ford Funeral Home, Bryan, with Rev. Dean Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Shiffler cemetery, Bryan. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Friday.
Preferred memorials are to American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
John Suttor
Graveside services for John Gottlieb Suttor, Franklin, Tenn., will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Sherwood cemetery with Rev. Robert Eble officiating. Handling arrangements are Williamson Memorial Funeral Home in Franklin and Rice Funeral Home, Sherwood. He married
Doris Wesche, who survives. Preceding him in death was a sister, Frances Hertel.
Martha Schroeder
ARCHBOLD - Martha (Betty) E. Schroeder, 79, Archbold, died this morning at Fairlawn Haven, Archbold, following a brief illness.
She was born April 29, 1922, in Napoleon, the daughter of Harley and Lola (Durbin) Travis. In 1942, she married
Harold Schroeder, who died in March. Prior to retirement, she worked at the former A&P Store in Archbold, Huner Jewelry Store and Napoleon's Charles Co. She was a member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church and American Legion Auxiliary, both in Archbold.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Bob (Linda) Parnell of Archbold and Mrs. Roger (Dawn) Cramer, Napoleon; a son, Steve, Archbold; two sisters, Louie Cottrell of Defiance and Bonnie Palmer, Napoleon; and seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Fern and Dort; and seven brothers, Dick, William, Earl, Clyde, Paul E., Naz and Bob.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the church with Rev. Thomas Lyberg officiating. Private burial will be in Archbold cemetery. Visitation is after 11 a.m. Friday. Handling arrangements is Grisier Funeral Home, Archbold.

Mary Armstrong
BRYAN - Former West Unity resident Mary Margaret Armstrong, 100, Bryan, died Tuesday in Hillside Country Living, Bryan.
She was born Oct. 7, 1901, in Williams County's Jefferson Township, the daughter of Franklin and Margaret (Stires) Martin. She married
William Armstrong, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a member of West Unity United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, West Unity Senior Citizens and Jefferson Rural Garden Club and a former treasurer for Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are a son, Howard, Moline, Ill.; and five grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, four great-stepgrandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
Also preceding her in death were two stepsons, Marshall and Kenneth; and two brothers, Donald and Kenneth Martin.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Hollingshead Funeral Home, West Unity, with Rev. Ruth Ann Scoby officiating. Burial will be in Shiffler cemetery, Bryan. Visitation is after 10 a.m. Friday.
Preferred memorials are to Hillside Country Living.
Marvin Ford
CONTINENTAL - Marvin (Uncle Buddy) Alan Ford, 33, Continental, died at 2:17 p.m. Monday in St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Nov. 30, 1968, in Lima, the son of Paul and Ruth (Korte) Ford. He worked at Johns Manville Corp. in Defiance, was a Putnam County Sheriff's deputy and a member of John the Baptist Catholic Church, Continental.
Surviving are his parents, Continental; a daughter, Kaitlyn, Kalida; a son, Toren, Kalida; two brothers, Gary of Dupont and Steve, Continental; a sister, Paula Babcock, Continental; a grandmother, Irene Ford, Grover Hill; and a special friend, Dawn Kuhlman.
Preceding him in death were a brother, Daniel; and grandparents, Everett and Viola Ford and Frank and Marcele Korte.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Barbara's Catholic Church, Cloverdale, with Father Robert Kill and Rev. Joseph Heeter officiating. Burial will be in Monroe cemetery. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental.

Kenneth Smith
CONTINENTAL - Kenneth Ray Smith, 67, Continental, died at 2:02 p.m. Monday in St. Rita's Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center, Glandorf.
He was born Sept. 3, 1934, in Continental, the son of James and Gladys (Ketner) Smith. In 1955, he married
Marilyn Schubert, who survives. He was a retired farmer, a machinist at the former Zeller Corp. in Defiance and a member of the former Kieferville United Methodist Church.
Also surviving are two sons, Allen of Continental and Larry, Ottawa; four daughters, Amy of Indianapolis, Mrs. Richard (Cindy) Lenhart of Wapakoneta, Mrs. Lane (Charlene) Shoup of Montpelier and Mrs. Dean (Darlene) Kaufman, Ottawa; three sisters, Mrs. Harry (Donna) Gray of Paulding, Mrs. Don (Ruth) Boday of Defiance and Mrs. Don (Kathleen) Steiner, Pandora; and 14 grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother and a sister.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental, with Revs. Frank Sablan and James Stewart officiating. Burial will be in North Mt. Zion cemetery, Continental. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. today, 2-8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to services Friday.
Bessie Steensen
TOLEDO - Word was received of the March 11 death of former Wauseon resident Bessie Ruth (Shadle) Steensen, 87, Toledo, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.
She was born Nov. 28, 1914, in Fulton County, the daughter of Ernest and Allie (Campbell) Shadle. She married
Marion Steensen, who died in 1988. She was a retired bookkeeper at Multi-Cast Corp., Wauseon, for 21 years and a member of Garden Park Church of Christ in Toledo and Order of Eastern Star's Fulton County Chapter 67, where she was a worthy matron.
Surviving are a son, Bradford, Rochester, Mich.; two daughters, Lynn Meadows of Chelsea, Mich., and Karyn Deyarmond, Toledo; and 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Gayle Kiddoo.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Garden Park Church of Christ with Rev. Barry Merritt officiating, and 2:30 p.m. Saturday in First Christian Church, Wauseon, with Rev. R. Keith Oditt officiating. Burial will be in Wauseon Union cemetery. There is no visitation. Handling arrangements is Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home, Wauseon.
Preferred memorials are to Garden Park Church of Christ, First Christian Church or St. Vincent's Palliative Care, Toledo.
John Suttor
FRANKLIN, Tenn. - John Gottlieb Suttor, 84, Franklin, died Saturday in Williamson Medical Center, Franklin.
He was born June 12, 1917, in Paulding, the son of Ben and Emma (Moser) Suttor. He married
Doris Maye, who survives. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a retired General Motors electrician and a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Franklin.
Also surviving are a son, William, Franklin; two sisters, Em White of Defiance and Ann Baker, Jackson, Mich.; and three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Sherwood cemetery with Rev. Robert Eble officiating. Handling arrangements are Williamson Memorial Funeral Home in Franklin and Rice Funeral Home, Sherwood.
Marjorie Ripke
Services for Marjorie A. Ripke were held Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. Keith Hunsinger and Vicar Joan Herbon officiating. Burial was in Brunersburg cemetery. Organist was Lori Schultz. Pallbearers were Terry Harris, Dave Levy, Kevin Florence, Jeff Ankney, Shawn Fedderke, Jason Marckel and Joshua Imber. Honorary pallbearers were Scott, Dan, Sheldon Jr. and Phillip Levy, James Jr., Richard and Corey Harris and John Bostelman. Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home handled arrangements.
Robert Fuller
Robert E. Fuller, 78, Defiance, died at 11:54 a.m. Monday in Toledo Hospital.
He was born Sept. 11, 1923, in Cecil, the son of Aden and Florence (Ross) Fuller. In 1949, he married
Juleah Guilliam, who survives. He worked at the Nickel Plate Railroad for 20 years and Johns Manville Corp. for 27 years. The U.S. Army veteran of World War II was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Johns Manville Retirees, Ottawa VFW Post and Prop Floppers and a former member of Christ Lutheran Church, Continental.
Also surviving are a son, David, Defiance; a daughter, Mrs. David (Sally) Adkins, Toledo; a brother, Donald, Continental; a stepsister, Ruth Troyer, Defiance; and a grandson, six stepgrandchildren and nine great-stepgrandchildren.
Preceding him in death was a brother, Raymond.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the church with Rev. Donald Luhring officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home.

Arlene Spangler
ARCHBOLD - Arlene (Tess) F. Spangler, 83, Archbold, died Monday afternoon in Fulton County Health Center, Wauseon.
She was born May 27, 1918, in Elmira, the daughter of Walter and Florence (Thurlby) Spengler. She was a cook at Woolworth's in Phoenix, Ariz., and moved to Archbold in 1991.
Surviving are two sisters, Pauline Heer of Archbold and Mrs. Lawrence (Mary Jane) Westhoven, Liberty Center.
Preceding her in death was a sister, Donna Leupp.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Fairlawn Chapel, Archbold, with Rev. Charles Gautsche officiating. Burial will be in Archbold cemetery. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday in Short Funeral Home, Archbold, and one hour prior to services Thursday in the chapel.
Preferred memorials are to Fairlawn Chapel.
