PAYNE - Maria A. Rosalez, 77, Payne, died at 9:05 p.m. Monday in Dallas Lamb Foundation Home, Payne. She was the widow of Prudencio Rosalez Sr. Arrangements are pending at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding.
Ynacio Polanco
PAYNE - Ynacio (Tarzan) G. Polanco, 67, Payne, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday in his home.
He was born May 10, 1934, in Knippa, Texas, the son of Sotero and Virginia (Garcia) Polanco. He married
Connie Homer, who survives. He was an employee at Herbert Orr Manufacturing, Paulding, for 18 years, a former employee of Grizzly Manufacturing and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Payne.
Also surviving are two daughters, Jeana of Chinle, Ariz., and Carman, Payne; a son, Leo, Fort Wayne; and a brother, five sisters and a granddaughter.
Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Wiltsie cemetery, Payne, with Deacon Don Coughlin officiating. Visitation is from 4-9 p.m. Thursday in Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding.
Preferred memorials are to Paulding Area Visiting Nurses and Hospice.
Paul Woodard
BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - Word was received of the March 12 death of Paulding County native Paul E. Woodard, 80, Bonita Springs.
He was born Sept. 30, 1921, in Paulding County, the son of Floyd and Lucy (Baldwin) Woodard. He married
Juanita Gillen, who died in 1962. His second wife, Mary, survives. He was a plumber for General Electric Co., Fort Wayne, for 40 years, and a member of F&AM Lodge in Payne and G.E. Retirement Club, Fort Wayne.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Karen) Gilfillson, Cashiers, N.C.; two sons, Terry of Paulding and Jerry, Fort Wayne; a stepdaughter, Pamela Stork, Columbia, Tenn.; a brother, Ivan, Setro, Fla.; and eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death was a stepdaughter, Sondra Graft.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Calvary Bible Church, Paulding, with Pastor Timothy Franklin officiating. Burial will be in Lehman cemetery, Payne. There is no visitation. Handling arrangements is Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding.

Services for Wayva A. Johnson were held Monday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Dr. Roger Braun officiating. Burial was in Sherwood cemetery. Pallbearers were Jeff Warnimont, Paul and Dave Pickering and Fred DeTray II.
Dennis Schall
Services for Dennis H. Schall were held Monday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Davis officiating. Burial was in Riverview Memory Gardens. Music was provided by Nancy Davis. Pallbearers were Dan, Joel and Mike Schall, Jerry Linebrink, Jim Neuman Sr., Jim Neuman Jr., Denny Sanders and John Bailey.
Virginia Buenger
Virginia Ruth Buenger, 78, Defiance, died Friday in her home.
She was born Sept. 29, 1923, in Defiance, the daughter of Oscar and Ada (Frank) Cordray. In 1942, she married
Norman Buenger, who died in 1986. She worked at GM Powertrain and Zeller Corp. and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lynn (Cheryl) Miller, Defiance; two sisters, Catherine Flickinger of Defiance and Mrs. William (Jane) Pace, Bucyrus; a brother, Gene Cordray, Avilla, Ind.; and two grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Bill, Jim and infant, Robert Cordray; and a sister, Betty Knepley.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the church with Rev. Keith Hunsinger officiating. Entombment will be Riverview Memory Gardens mausoleum. Visitation is from 12-9 p.m. Monday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.

Lucile Winkle
CONTINENTAL - Lucile Winkle, 100, Continental, died at 1:55 p.m. Friday in Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa.
She was born Aug. 16, 1901, in Edon, the daughter of Ezra and Almeda (Knoff) Osborn. She married
John Whitman, who died in 1944. In 1957, she married
Eber Winkle, who died in 1975. She was a cook at Continental Local Schools and a member of Dupont Church of the Brethren and Continental American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are two stepsons, Kenneth and Joe, both of Continental; a stepdaughter, Norma Jean Morgan, Continental; two sisters, Thelma Hinkle of Ft. Meyers, Fla., and Madolyn Geir, Lansing, Mich.; and eight stepgrandchildren and 14 great-stepgrandchildren.
Preceding her in death were a daughter, Betty Whitman; a son, Paul Whitman; three brothers, Paul, Bill and Mike Osborn; and a sister, Leona Light.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental, with Rev. Terry Porter officiating. Burial will be in Monroe cemetery, Continental. Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Monday.

Edward Hoff
NAPOLEON - Edward F. Hoff, 94, Napoleon, died Friday morning in Henry County Hospital, Napoleon.
He was born May 13, 1907, in Henry County's Monroe Township, the son of William and Christina (Dettmer) Hoff. In 1931, he married
Frances Glanz, who died in 1988. He was a retired farmer, a former Monroe Township trustee and a former elder at St. John's United Church of Christ, Holgate. He formerly served on the committee for Agricultural Stabilization Conservation Services of Henry County and Soil Conservation Service.
Surviving are a son, Junior, Napoleon; five daughters, Janet Scheele and Phyllis Crawford, both of Napoleon, Kay Winnie and Virginia Gray, both of Defiance, and Arlene Knapp, Toledo; a sister, Mildred Slagle, Napoleon; and 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were a brother, Ralph; a sister, Elnora Hoff; and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the church with Rev. Jane Hillman officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. today in Walker Mortuary, Napoleon.
Preferred memorials are to the church's remodeling fund or bell choir or a charity of the donor's choice.
Laura Crampton
NAPOLEON - Laura L. Crampton, 80, Napoleon, died at 8:15 a.m. Saturday in Heartland of Browning Nursing Home, Waterville.
She was born Jan. 31, 1922, in Napoleon, the daughter of Ernest and Emma (Stockman) Rohrs. In 1944, she married
Richard Crampton, who died in 1980. She retired in 1979 as an inspector at the former Clevite Harris in Napoleon and was a volunteer at Henry County Hospital and American Red Cross bloodmobiles. She was a member of Napoleon's St. Paul Lutheran Church and VFW Post 8218, American Legion Post 300 and AMVETS Post 1313 auxiliaries, and a former member of Hope Lutheran Church, Hamler.
Surviving are two sons, Tom of Delaware and Tony, Whitehouse; and three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the church with Pastors Norman Koy and Peter Marcis officiating. Burial will be in Hoy cemetery, Napoleon. Visitation is from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday in Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon, and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.

Melle Landversicht
NAPOLEON - Former Findlay resident Melle G. Landversicht, 93, Napoleon, died at 12:34 a.m. Friday in Henry County Hospital, Napoleon.
She was born July 6, 1908, in Upper Sandusky, the daughter of Roy and Icy (Beamer) Schindler. In 1930, she married
Raymond Landversicht, who died in 1992. She was a former employee at Kroger's, Charles Co. and Shumaker Store in Napoleon, and Koehler Drug Store, Leo's Trading Post and Elmer's China Store, in Upper Sandusky. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Upper Sandusky, and an associate member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Napoleon.
Surviving are a son, Richard, Napoleon; two daughters, Mrs. Phil (Shirlee) Mires of Napoleon and Mrs. Vernon (Carole) Wittenberg, Findlay; two sisters, Mrs. Bob (Elouise) Davis of Upper Sandusky and Mrs. John (Sue) Koehler, Morral; and 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Kathryn Jacoby and Edith Shafer; two brothers, Ralph and Ora Schindler; and a grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in First Lutheran Church with Revs. James Updegraff and Julianne Smith officiating. Burial will be in Old Mission cemetery, Upper Sandusky. Visitation is from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday in Bringman Clark & Company Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky, and one hour prior to services Tuesday in the church.

Gloria Batdorf
BRYAN - Gloria Virginia Batdorf, 78, Bryan, died Saturday morning at her daughter's residence in Bryan.
She was born May 9, 1923, in St. Croix Falls, Wis., the daughter of Gustav and Ethel Gunhild (Johnson) Dahl. In 1946, she married
Earl Batdorf, who died in 1991. She was a beautician for 29 years, a former manager of Uhlman's Department Store Beauty Shop and owner/operator of Beautique La Belle Beauty Shop. The Women's United Thrift Shop volunteer was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bryan, its Esther Circle, Lioness Club, Beta Sigma Phi and Bryan Art Klan and a former den mother.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Howard (Ann) Vreeland, Bryan; three sons, Richard of Annapolis, Md., Jim of Pioneer and Tom, Redding, Calif.; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the church with Rev. Richard Buchsteiner officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday in Rice Funeral Home, Bryan.
Preferred memorials are to the church or Hospice of Williams and Fulton Counties.
Denver Bachman
WAUSEON - Denver C. Bachman, 84, Wauseon, died Thursday in Fulton County Health Center, Wauseon.
He was born Nov. 24, 1917, in Fulton County, the son of Robert and Clara (Haas) Bachman. In 1943, he married
Doris Rupp, who survives. He was a farmer.
Also surviving are two sons, Doug of Wauseon and Dave, Napoleon; and four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were a brother, Kenneth; and a sister, Kathryn Merillat.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home, Wauseon, with Rev. Randy Lowe officiating. Burial will be in Pleasantview Union cemetery, Fayette. Visitation is from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. today.
Preferred memorials are to Morenci EMS or a charity of the donor's choice.
Betty Friend
ANTWERP - Betty E. Friend, 81, Antwerp, died at 4:20 p.m. Friday in Harborside Healthcare, Defiance.
She was born Jan. 27, 1921, in Middletown, Pa., the daughter of Stephen and Irene (Musgrave) Hipple. In 1946, she married
Robert Friend, who died in 1992. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are a son, Larry, Antwerp; three daughters, Sue Widenhoefer of Fort Wayne, Nancy of Fishers, Ind., and Eva Connett, Bradenton, Fla.; two brothers, Wallace Hipple of Middletown and Joe Hipple, Palmyra, Pa.; a sister, Blanche Fochler, Middletown; and 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were three brothers, Mike, Delbert and James Hipple; and a sister, Ruth Hipple.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, with Rev. Jim Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Maumee cemetery, Antwerp. Visitation is from 5-9 p.m. today and one hour prior to services Monday.
