GROVER HILL - Ruth B. Golliver, 79, Grover Hill, died Saturday at Northcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Napoleon. Preceding her in death was her husband, Alonzo. Arrangements are pending at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding.

NAPOLEON - Nelson Rettig, 74, Napoleon, died Sunday evening in Henry County Hospital, Napoleon. Arrangements are pending at Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home, Napoleon.
Nelson Brown
NORTH CREEK - Nelson J. Brown, 84, North Creek, died at 9:26 a.m. Sunday in St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Feb. 2, 1918, in Putnam County, the son of John and Edith (Johnston) Brown. In 1939, he married
Henrietta Wehri, who survives. He was a route driver for Ottawa Oil Co. and Gulf Oil Co., retiring after 43 years, a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in North Creek and a retired volunteer firefighter at Miller City Fire Department.
Also surviving are three sons, Robert of Lima, Donald of McComb and Ronald, Miller City; a brother, Bernard, Leipsic; a sister, Stella Wagner, North Creek; and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was a brother, Albert.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the church with Father Robert Kill officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday in Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, with a scripture service at 8:30 p.m.
Preferred memorials are to American Lung Association.
Dorothy Meyer
Dorothy Meyer, 98, Defiance, died Thursday evening at Defiance Hospital. Arrangements are pending at Snyder Funeral Home, Holgate.
Frederick Seal Sr.
Frederick L. Seal Sr., 68, Defiance, died at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday in Toledo Hospital.
He was born Jan. 5, 1934, in Putnam County, the son of Fred and Mildred (Reynolds) Seal. In 1955, he married
Patricia Rohda, who survives. He was a journeyman/electrician and a member of IBEW Local 305, Fort Wayne, and Local 245, Toledo. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of VFW Post 3360 and a life member of AMVETS Post 1991.
Also surviving are two sons, Frederick Jr. of Ashland and Edward, Defiance; four daughters, Cheryl LiebHerr, Mrs. Charles (Lori) Carroll and Linda, all of Defiance, and Mrs. Harry (Debra) McMillan, Hamilton, Ind.; a sister, Kathryn Chadwell, Thomasville, N.C.; and five grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Dr. Roger Braun officiating. Military rites will be accorded by VFW Post 3360. Visitation is from 9-11 a.m. prior to services on March 16.
Preferred memorials are to a charity of the donor's choice.
Margaret Abbott
BRYAN - Margaret (Peg) B. Abbott, 101, Bryan, died Tuesday at her residence.
She was born Jan. 9, 1901, in Montpelier, the daughter of Edward and Clara (Strauser) Butler. In 1922, she married
Eugene (Cooney) Abbott, who died in 1961. She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Bryan and Orchard Hills County Club and a life member of Williams County Historical Society, Bryan Hospital Auxiliary, Moose Lodge Auxiliary and University of Michigan Alumni Association.
Surviving are a niece and nephew.
Also preceding her in death was a brother, Carlton Butler.
Services were held this morning at the church with Rev. Dennis Ladd officiating. Burial was in Fountain Grove cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to the church or Williams County Library.
Alice Burley
BRYAN - Alice LaRue Burley, 85, Bryan, died Thursday at Hillside Country Living, Bryan.
She was born May 14, 1916, in Farmer, the daughter of Sherman and Susie (Miller) Blosser. She married
Joe Psurny, who preceded her in death. She then married
Ernest Burley, who also died. She worked at Spangler Candy Co. and Lester's Diner and was a correspondent for area newspapers. She was a member of First Church of Christ in Bryan and a former member of Farmer Church of Christ and the Grange.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. John (JoAnn) Lougheed, Bryan; two sons, Robert Psurny of Bryan and Mike Psurny, Fremont, Ind.; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Mike (Arlette) Lopshire of Haviland, Mrs. Charles (Monyea) Countryman of Edgerton, Mrs. Jim (Karen) Stephenson of Fort Wayne and Mrs. Butch (Linda) Garman, Hicksville; two stepsons, Jerry of Hamilton, Ind., and Fred, Fort Wayne; two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Edith) Whitman of Bryan and Opal Engler, Edgerton; and eight grandchildren, 27 stepgrandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, 47 great-stepgrandchildren and three great-great-stepgrandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a sister, Wilma Blosser; five brothers, Herb, Ralph, Richard, Harry and Clifford Blosser; and four great-stepgrandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in First Church of Christ, Bryan, with Revs. Larry Snavely and Dean Phillips officiating. Burial will be at Farmer cemetery. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Rice Funeral Home, Bryan.
Preferred memorials are to First Church of Christ or Hillside Country Living's Anna's House.
Robert Bell
LEIPSIC - Robert Earl Bell, 91, Leipsic, died at 12:10 p.m. Thursday in St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born May 21, 1910, in Leipsic, the son of William and Lillian (King) Bell. In 1937, he married
Geraldine Hartranft, who died in 1992. He was a retired manager of Leipsic Telephone Co., a former chief of Leipsic Volunteer Fire Department and a member of Leipsic Water Board and First Lutheran Church, Leipsic.
Surviving are a son, Roger, Fostoria; a daughter, Mrs. Roger (Karen) Leinsetter, Syracuse, Ind.; a brother, George, Columbus Grove; a sister, Elanore Radabaugh, Ottawa; and four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death was a sister, Gertrude Cruckshank.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Leipsic, with Rev. George Zornow officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Ridge cemetery, Leipsic. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Saturday.

Roy McGary Sr.
LIBERTY CENTER - Roy Davis McGary Sr., 86, Liberty Center, died at 8:46 p.m. Wednesday in Toledo Hospital.
He was born May 14, 1915, in Central City, Ky., the son of Robert and Sarah (Wetherford) McGary. In 1941, he married
Lucille Murdock, who survives. He was a sheet metal worker/welder at Fred Christen & Sons, A.H. Lumm Co. and Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 6, Toledo, and a farmer. He worked at Crawford Orchards after retiring and was a member of Liberty Center United Methodist Church, Lodge 518 F& AM, Royal Arch Masons, Zenobia Shrine, Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo and Oddfellows Lodge, a life member of Fulton County Sportsman Club and a charter member of Henry County Sportsman Club.
Also surviving are a son, Roy (Butch) Jr., Put-In-Bay; three daughters, Mrs. Clifton (Colleen) Martinez of Liberty Center, Mrs. Jim (Claudia) Funkhouser of Tacoma, Wash., and Mrs. Loren (Catherine) Gentry, Granger, Ind.; a brother, Raleigh, Newburgh, Ind.; five sisters, Sarah Lee, Mrs. Tom (Patricia) Clark, Mrs. Bob (Connie) Callis and Mary, all of Booneville, Ind., and Mrs. Jack (Kathleen) Summers, Tavares, Fla.; and seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and eight great-stepgrandchildren.
Preceding him in death were a son, Roscoe; four brothers, Roosevelt, Ralph, Robert (Frank) and Richard; and a sister, Nellie.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the church with Pastor David MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in Young's cemetery, Liberty Center. Visitation is after 3 p.m. Saturday in Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m.
Preferred memorials are to the church, Liberty Center Fire and EMS or a charity of the donor's choice.
Virgil Snyder Sr.
McCLURE - Virgil L. Snyder Sr., 75, McClure, died at 9 p.m. Wednesday in Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green.
He was born March 9, 1926, in McClure, the son of Abraham and Alice (Mengerick) Snyder. In 1952, he married
Elizabeth Drake, who survives. He was a driver for 37 years at Preston's in Toledo, a farmer and a member of Teamster's Local 20, Toledo.
Also surviving are four sons, Virgil Jr., Mike, Vernon and Duane, all of McClure; two daughters, Mrs. Ronnie (Vivian) Parsons of McClure and Sherri, Napoleon; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Donald (Katherine) Shield of Gurley, Ala., and Mrs. James (Patricia) Snyder, Defiance; two stepsons, Ronald Laws of Defiance and Glen Laws, Stryker; a brother, David, Frostproof, Fla.; and 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were six brothers, Edward, Leonard, Loren, Lester, Donald and Charles; and five sisters, Mabel Harps, Nora Weimer, Evelyn Snyder, Marcella (Sally) Welch and Mamie Snyder.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Rodenberger Funeral Home, McClure, with Pastor Fred Richards officiating. Burial will be in Hockman cemetery, McClure. Visitation is from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today.
Preferred memorials are to American Lung Association, American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
Patricia Sterling
McCLURE - Patricia M. West Sterling, 71, McClure, died at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday in Medical College of Ohio Hospital, Toledo.
She was born June 24, 1930, in Custar, the daughter of Leo and Gertrude (Wilhelm) Dibling. In 1950, she married
Robert West, who died in 1993. In 1994, she married
Kenneth Sterling, who survives. She was a 1950 graduate of Elkhart Business College in Elkhart, Ind., an employee of Toledo State Hospital and Maumee Valley Hospital and an assistant director of medical records at Medical College of Ohio Hospital and Parkview Hospital in Toledo, retiring in 1993. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Providence.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Rich (Theresa) Smith of Leesburg, Fla., and Mrs. Robert (Angela) West, Toledo; a sister, Mrs. Eldon (Arlene) Saul, Liberty Center; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Paul (Kathy) Houdashelt, Ashland; a stepson, Kevin, Marion; and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death was a brother, Frances Dibling.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the church with Father Anthony Gallagher officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery in Grand Rapids. Visitation is from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Rodenberger Funeral Home, McClure, with an 8:30 p.m. rosary service.

Marceda Woodruff
OTTAWA - Marceda Konst Woodruff, 89, Ottawa, died Thursday in St. Rita Medical Center, Lima.
She was born Jan. 4, 1913, in Putnam County, the daughter of Rudolph and Gertrude (Alt) Konst. Surviving are three daughters, Dorothy Altman of Hamler, Shirley McAllister of Ottawa and Shelby Burkholder, Columbus; a son, Dale, West Palm Beach, Fla.; and 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were a brother, Pete Konst; and two sisters, Sally Decker and Lucille Wotton.
Private services will be held at a later date. Handling arrangements is Snyder Funeral Home, Holgate.
