Barbara Seedorf Woods
DESHLER - Barbara L. Seedorf Woods, 66, Deshler, died at 11:33 a.m. Friday in Oak Grove Quality Care Nursing Center, Deshler.
She was born April 10, 1935, in Liberty Center, the daughter of Donald and Grace (Murray) Mowery. In 1956, she married
Karl Seedorf, who died in 1994. In 2000, she married
Robert Woods, who survives. She was a nursing assistant at Keltenbach Nursing Home, Weston, and retired from Metal Forge, Deshler. She had been a Deshler village council member for 18 years, a member of Deshler Bavarian Haus and Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler and past president of Deshler American Legion Auxiliary and Union Rebecca Lodge, Liberty Center.
Also surviving are a daughter, Dodie Seedorf, Deshler; three stepsons, Mike and Steve Woods, both of Deshler, and Pat Woods, Hamler; a sister, Donna Kessler, Liberty Center; a stepbrother, Charles Cornwell, Toledo; and seven stepgrandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were her parents.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the church with Pastor Micah Ernst officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Deshler. Visitation will be private.
Preferred memorials are to the church, Deshler American Legion or Deshler Fire Department and EMS.
Florence Nafziger
STRYKER - Florence Bessie Nafziger, 89, Stryker, died Saturday in Fairlawn Haven, Archbold.
She was born Jan. 10, 1913, near Stryker, the daughter of Robert and Bessie (Gentit) Johnson. In 1931, she married
Waldo Nafziger, who died in 1982. She and her husband owned and operated Nafziger Camper Sales, Stryker, for many years and she also owned a pet shop. She was a member of the musical group, the Red Hats, and a piano teacher. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, ELCW and First Lutheran Church, Stryker, where she was an organist.
Surviving are a son, Paul, Colorado Springs, Colo.; three daughters, Mrs. Eldred (Rosella) Buehrer and Mrs. Darrell (Jeanette) Goebel, both of Stryker, and Mrs. Dwight (Donna) Green, Coldwater, Mich.; a sister, Lucille Beck, Stryker; a brother, W.P. (Jack) Johnson, Stryker; and 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and four great-stepgrandchildren.
Also preceding her in death was a brother, Bobby Johnson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the church with Rev. Dane Meuschke officiating. There will be a private burial. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Monday in Grisier Funeral Home, Stryker.
Preferred memorials are to a charity of the donor's choice.
Dallas Gisler
Services for Dallas J. Gisler were held Friday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Henry officiating. Entombment was in Riverview Memory Gardens mausoleum. Organist was Jan Kaiser. Pallbearers were Mace, Tucker, Bruce, Jeffrey and William Jennings.
Chester Bauer
Services for Chester C. Bauer were held Friday in Free Christian Church of God, Continental, with Revs. Jim Fry and Carol Retcher officiating. Music was provided by Fry and Retcher. Entombment was in Riverview Memory Gardens mausoleum. Pallbearers were Lee Williams, Jim Hamilton, Dick Wise, Dave McGee, Doug Dewmire and John Hersh. Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home handled arrangements. Among survivors is a daughter, Mrs. Scott (Shari) Blackwood, Sylvania.
John Davis
ACWORTH, Ga. - Former Bryan resident John L. Davis, 85, Acworth, died Saturday.
He was born Jan. 17, 1917, in Walkersville, W.Va., the son of John and Maude (Pickins) Davis. In 1944, he married
Margaret (Peg) Myers, who died in 2001. He was a customer service agent at Johns Manville Corp. in Defiance, a former Bryan police officer, a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Dallas, Ga.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Tom (Jan) Bernard of Acworth and Mrs. Steve (Kathy) Williams, Fenton, Mich.; two sisters, Loraine Shields of Arlington Heights, Ill., and June Bradley, Springboro; a brother, Bob, Pittsburgh; and four grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death was a sister, Rita McQuain.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan, with Rev. Charles Ritter officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Grove cemetery, Bryan. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. today in Rice Funeral Home, Bryan.

Raymond Obermyer
BRYAN - Raymond C. Obermyer, 85, Bryan, died Sunday at Community Hospitals of Williams County-Bryan.
He was born Aug. 16, 1916, in Wood County, the son of Charles and Luella (Hasel) Obermyer. In 1943, he married
Anna Kerr, who died in 1993. He was a farmer, owner of a custom saw mill and a Pulaski Township trustee for 12 years.
Surviving are a son, John, Bowling Green; and two grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, four great-grandchildren and six great-stepgrandchildren.
Also preceding him in death was a sister, Naomi Fahle.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Oberlin-Ford Funeral Home, Bryan, with Rev. Troy Cummins officiating. Burial will be in Shiffler cemetery. Visitation is from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Preferred memorials are to Anna's House at Hillside Country Living or GALA of Williams County.
C.G. Hendricks
C.G. (Pete) Hendricks, 90, Defiance, died Sunday in Florida. Among survivors are his wife, Dorothy; and a son, Lee. Arrangements are pending at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home.
Eileen Ohms
FREMONT - Eileen Ohms, 74, Fremont, died Saturday in Medical College of Ohio Hospital, Toledo.
She was born June 12, 1927, in Sandusky County's Riley Township, the daughter of Olah and Esther (Meggitt) Meek. In 1948, she married
Paul Ohms, who survives. She was a homemaker and a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Fremont, Riley Grange, Riley Reapers Farm Women Club, Riley Garden Club, Riley Mother's Club and several card clubs.
Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Peter (Penny) Diehl of Defiance, Mrs. Kenny (Kay) Paul of Cygnet and Mrs. John (Sue) Hoffman and Kelly Miracle, both of Fremont; two sons, Steven of Fremont and Michael, Clyde; a sister, Ruth Bates, Washington; two brothers, Cliff Meek of Canada and Gary Meek, Tennessee; and 14 grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren, a great-grandchild and six great-stepgrandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, Clyde, with Rev. Robert Quillen officiating. Burial will be in Faust cemetery, Fremont. Visitation is from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
Preferred memorials are to the church or American Diabetes Association.
Russell Rausch
NAPOLEON - Russell R. Rausch, 88, Napoleon, died Sunday morning in Henry County Hospital.
He was born June 15, 1913, in Napoleon, the son of Carl and Ina (Frazer) Rausch. He married
Dorothy Ferguson, who died in 1976. In 1976, he married
Betty (Snyder) Grondin, who survives. He was president of C.F. Rausch and Sons Roofing Co., Napoleon, retiring in 1973. He was affiliated with Rausch Lumber Co., Napoleon, and operated Grondin Fishing Camp in Ontario, Canada, retiring in 1986. He was a bus driver for Napoleon City Schools, a former Napoleon city councilman and a member of Napoleon Volunteer Fire Department, St. Paul United Methodist Church and IOOF Post 260. He served in Ohio State Guard, played the trombone at Ohio State Fair under the direction of guest conductor John Phillip Sousa in 1930, was a charter member of DeMolays and a Boy Scout volunteer.
Surviving are three sons, Roger (Butch) of Fort Wayne and Lynn and Wayne (Tuff), both of Napoleon; a daughter, Carol Ann Nachtrab, Napoleon; a stepson, Steve Grondin, Saskatchewan, Canada; two stepdaughters, Carol Shepard of Napoleon and Delores Shields, Toronto, Canada; three brothers, Paul, James and Lowell (Pete), all of Napoleon; and seven grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren, a great-grandchild and five great-stepgrandchildren.
Also preceding him in death was a brother, Burdette.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, with Rev. Michael Westbay officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery, Napoleon. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday.
Preferred memorials are to Henry County Senior Center or a charity of the donor's choice.
Ellen Treadway
Ellen Lucille Treadway, 72, Defiance, died at 5:40 a.m. Thursday in her home.
She was born on Dec. 3, 1929, in Crawford County's Texas Township, the daughter of Lewis and Mabel (Frankenfield) Marsteller. In 1956, she married
Lloyd Treadway, who survives. She was a member of Evergreen Garden Club, Blanchard Valley Auxiliary Twig, Findlay Gourmet Luncheon Club, Findlay Country Club and its Ladies' Golf Association and a former member of Timber Lanes Bowling League, Findlay. She was a member of Kettenring Country Club and its Ladies' Golf Association, Defiance Hospital Auxiliary and Defiance College Bridge Marathon.
Also surviving are a son, Nelson, Findlay; a daughter, Mrs. Gregg (Kathryn) Warner, Defiance; two brothers, Oliver and Eugene Marsteller, both of Lima; a sister, Mrs. Burruss (Delores) Drennen, Bowling Green; and six grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Harold Marsteller; and a sister, Annabelle Bible.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay, with Rev. Sam Schroeder officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery, Findlay. Visitation is from 6-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday.

Dolores Hayes
Former Hamler resident Dolores Hayes, 86, died Thursday in Toledo Hospital. She was a resident at Laurels of Defiance. Survivors include a son, Jerry, Defiance; and a daughter, Mrs. Randy (Kathleen) Punches, Hamler. Arrangements are pending at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler.
Veda Marshall
BRYAN - Veda Margaret Marshall, 81, Bryan, died March 15.
She was born May 19, 1920, in Toledo, the daughter of Henry and Jennie (Pease) Hohenberger. In 1939, she married
Marvin Marshall, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William (Judith) Yahraus of Bryan and Mrs. Dale (Jerra Mae) Huffman, Columbus; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Wesley United Methodist Church. Handling arrangements is Rice Funeral Home, Bryan.
Preferred memorials are to Dilworth Center or the church.
Lorena Shock
NAPOLEON - Lorena M. Clausen Shock, 91, Napoleon, died Thursday afternoon in Country View Haven, Napoleon.
She was born May 2, 1910, in Henry County, the daughter of Henry and Emma (Maassel) Junge. In 1928, she married
Albert Clausen, who died in 1961. She married
Bryan Shock, who preceded her in death. She was a cook at Knoke Restaurant, Deshler, for 18 years and Filling Memorial Home of Mercy, Napoleon, for 14 years. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Florida and past president of the former Gerken and Hurd American Legion Post 654 Auxiliary in Florida and Napoleon Post 300 Auxiliary. She was the former treasurer of Henry County Garden Club and a member of Florida's Spade and Trowel Garden Club, Napoleon Senior Citizens' Center, Napoleon Senior Citizens' Club, Henry County Hospital Auxiliary and Henry County Home Society.
Surviving are a son, Leo Clausen Sr., Napoleon; a daughter, Mrs. Arnold (Esther) Armbruster, Napoleon; and 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
Also preceding her in death were four brothers, Emil, Paul, Erwin and Harry Junge; and two sisters, Marie Renollet and Luetta Palmer.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the church with Rev. Douglas Corniels officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Deshler. Visitation is from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Walker Mortuary, Napoleon.

John Hazelton Sr.
PANDORA - John Hazelton Sr., 73, Pandora, died at 11:05 a.m. Wednesday in Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 4, 1929, in Ottawa, the son of John and Chloe (Croy) Hazelton. In 1955, he married
Ella Mae Cox, who survives. He retired from Defiance's GM Powertrain in 1991 and was a member of Ottawa American Legion 63, Church of Christ in Pandora and the U.S. Army Air Corps, where he served in the 335th Fighter Squadron.
Also surviving are a son, Rex, Leipsic; a daughter, Mrs. Jeff (Candy) Walker, Galion; three sisters, Mrs. Edgar (Ellen) Haughey of Springfield, Mrs. Rhoades (Ruth) Diehl of Findlay and Mrs. Omar (Jo) Selhorst, Ottawa; and eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, John Jr.; and three sisters and four brothers.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Ottawa, with Rev. Robert Butt officiating. Burial will be in Harman cemetery, Gilboa, with military rites accorded by Ottawa American Legion Post 63 and Ottawa VFW Post. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. today and after 1 p.m. Saturday.
