Genevieve Miller
Services for Genevieve M. Miller were held Tuesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Tim Kummerer officiating. Burial was in Riverview Memory Gardens. Organist was Dave Moninger. Pallbearers were Curt Miller, Tom and Tim Sauer, Luke and Jake Mohr and John Mohr III. Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Della Buell
Della Buell, 88, rural Defiance, died at 1:57 p.m. Monday in Brookview Healthcare Center.
She was born Dec. 12, 1913, in Lee County, Va., the daughter of James and Florida (Smith) Carroll. In 1935, she married Joe Buell, who survives. She was a nurses' aide at Glenwood Nursing Home and a member of Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church, Junction.
Also surviving are six sons, Murphy of Middlesboro, Ky., Alden, Edward and Joie Denver of Defiance, Kenneth of Sherwood, and Hubert, Paulding; five daughters, Mrs. Gib (Ann) Neal of Lima, Mrs. Bud (Genella) Smith of Cecil and Mrs. Vic (Christine) Smith, Mrs. Jimmy (Genetta) Ross and Mrs. Ray (Vandetta) Smith, all of Defiance; a sister, Bessie Earls, Calowood, Ky.; and 35 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were two sons, Russell and Jack; two brothers, Raymond and Enos Carroll; a sister, Victoria Fuson; and a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the church with Revs. Terry Brock and Otis Mason officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday in Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
Preferred memorials are to the church building fund.

Nancy Schultz
Nancy M. Schultz, 64, Defiance, died at 5:18 p.m. Sunday in Toledo Hospital.
She was born April 8, 1937, in Paulding County, the daughter of Lloyd and Mabel (Hahn) Fuller. In 1957, she married Bernard (Barney) Schultz, who died in 1986. She was a beautician at Fash-N-Aire Styling Salon, retiring in 2000, and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Defiance Hospital Auxiliary and Eagles Aerie 372 Auxiliary.
Surviving are two sons, Robert of Defiance and Ronald, Hillsboro Clinton Township, Mich.; a daughter, Mrs. James (Barbara) Mayle, Defiance; a brother, Robert Fuller, Defiance; two sisters, Janet Brock of Pineville, Ky., and Ruth Ann Dockery, Continental; and eight grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were her parents.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the church with Father David Tscherne officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with a scripture service at 7:30 p.m.
Preferred memorials are to a charity of the donor's choice.

Ernestine Potter
CONVOY - Defiance native Ernestine (Ernie) J. Potter, 80, Convoy, died at 6:48 p.m. Sunday in Convoy Care Center.
She was born Jan. 15, 1921, in Defiance, the daughter of Curtis and Florence (McCavitt) Dunmire. In 1961, she married James Potter Sr. who died in 1999. She co-owned and operated State Gardens, Middlebury, until 1959. She then managed Goucho Room at Hotel Van Orman, Sands Supper Club and Zoli's Cowboy, all in Fort Wayne, and retired in 1991.
Surviving are a son, Thomas Taylor, Fort Wayne; a daughter, Sandra Taylor, Convoy; a stepson, James Jr., Westerville; a stepdaughter, Pamela Sites, Van Wert; two sisters, Donna Coquillard and Mary Jane O'Brien, both of Fort Wayne; a brother, Kenneth Dunmire, Van Wert; and nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a brother, Robert Dunmire; and a stepson, Ronald.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Brickner Funeral Home, Van Wert, with Rev. Paul Miller officiating. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery, Van Wert. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today and one hour prior to services Wednesday.
Preferred memorials are to Convoy Care Center.

Marvin Fenter
CONVOY - Marvin (Butch) LeRoy Fenter, 52, Convoy, died at 5:41 a.m. Monday in Van Wert County Hospital.
He was born Jan. 1, 1950, in Defiance, the son of Harold and Anna Marie (Crampton) Fenter. He was a self-employed truck driver and attended Rock Church, Oakwood.
Surviving are his mother, Anna Marie Brummitt, Paulding; two sisters, Susie and Cheryl Gillenwater, both of Kingsport, Tenn.; three brothers, Harold and Ronald, both of Oakwood, and Robert, Defiance; two stepsisters, Sheila Calopietro of Wood River, Ill., and Loretta Griffiths, Jacksonville, Ark.; four stepbrothers, Jeffery Brummitt of Paulding, Roger Brummitt of Toledo, Buford Brummitt of Kingsport and Randy Brummitt, San Diego; and a special friend, Connie Beair, Convoy.
Preceding him in death were his father; a brother, Terry; and a stepfather, Buford Brummitt.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the church with Pastor Bobby Branham officiating. Burial will be in Ayersville cemetery. Visitation is from 6-9 p.m. Thursday and after 12 p.m. Friday at the church. Handling arrangements is Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding.
Preferred memorials are to the family.

Nadia Williams
FORT WAYNE - Nadia Lynn Williams was stillborn at 4:27 p.m. Saturday in Dupont Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Surviving are her parents, Ryan Guevara Sr. and Carolyn Williams, Fort Wayne; three brothers, Giddeion Williams and Ryan Jr. and Andreas Guevara, all of Fort Wayne; and grandparents, Rich and Vicki Williams and Andrew and Virginia Guevara, all of Fort Wayne.
Graveside services were held Monday at Scipio cemetery, Harlan. Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville, handled arrangements.

Robert Hugo
NAPOLEON - Robert L. Hugo, 40, Napoleon, died Monday morning in his home.
He was born Nov. 11, 1961, in Springfield, Mo., the son of Randall and Barbara (Bunyard) Hugo. He was a former employee of Lookers Classic Auto Sales and Proteam Corvette Sales, both of Napoleon, and a member of Seminole Baptist Church, Springfield.
Surviving are his parents, Springfield; two brothers, John of Springfield and James, Willard, Mo.; a sister, Debra, Boisdarc, Mo.; and a special friend, Debbie Kent, Napoleon.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, with Rev. David Lutz officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation is one hour prior to services Wednesday.
Preferred memorials are to Hospice of Henry County, American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.

Harold Diller
Harold L. Diller, 79, Defiance, died at 3:12 p.m. Sunday in Defiance Hospital.
He was born Feb. 2, 1923, in Pandora, the son of Noah and Elma (Habegger) Diller. In 1944, he married Vera Bucher, who survives. The World War II U.S. Navy veteran served in the Philippines and was a 1952 graduate of Ohio State University. He was an agricultural product salesman, retiring in 1991, and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ and Elks Lodge 147.
Also surviving are two sons, Daryl of Laurel, Md., and Dean, Denver; two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Rene) Lechler of Reynoldsburg and Mrs. Phil (Tana) Barnt, Defiance; three half brothers, Wayne Amstutz of Bluffton, DeWayne Amstutz of Idaho and Maynard Amstutz, Urbana; and eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Preceding him in death was a half sister, Kathleen Kindle.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Riverview Memory Gardens with Rev. Alfred Schroeder officiating. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday in Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home.
Preferred memorials are to the church.

Nancy Schultz
Nancy M. Schultz, 64, Defiance, died Sunday at Toledo Hospital. She was the widow of Bernard (Barney) Schultz. Arrangements are pending at Mast-Mock-Hoffman Hoffman Funeral Home.

Leo Vance
Leo H. Vance, 86, Defiance, died at 10:25 a.m. Sunday in Defiance Hospital.
He was born Feb. 6, 1916, in Paulding County, the son of Simon and Alma (Carnahan) Vance. In 1941, he married Vanda Kunesh, who died in 1993. The U.S. Army veteran of World War II was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a farmer and an employee of Phillips Platting Co. and Defiance County Highway Department before retiring in 1980.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Lou Lloyd, Defiance; a son, Leroy, Defiance; and two grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Preceding him in death were four sisters, Cindy Lindeman, Pauline Schatz, Faye Vance and Irene Brenner; and a brother, Ray.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the church with Father David Tscherne officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery with military rites conducted by VFW Post 3360. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m.
Preferred memorials are to a charity of the donor's choice.

Cheryl Weinstock
BRYAN - Cheryl Ann Weinstock, 42, Bryan, died Saturday following an extended illness.
She was born April 2, 1959, in Sidney, the daughter of James and Annalee (Wilson) Keith. In 1988, she married Steve Weinstock, who survives. She was a manager at Shastar Rent to Own, Bryan.
Also surviving are her parents, Swanders; a daughter, Misty Stapleton, Bryan; a sister, Kimberly Keith, Jacksonville, Ill.; three brothers, Jeff Keith of Piqua, Gary Keith of Pine Dale, Ariz., and Tim Keith, Pasco; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Northtowne Church of God, Sidney, with Revs. Merle Laws and Kenneth Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Pearl cemetery, Sidney. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today in Rice Funeral Home, Bryan, and 4-8 p.m. Wednesday in Cromes Funeral Home, Sidney.
Preferred memorials are to her grandchildren's education trust fund.

Clara Dangler
CONTINENTAL - Clara Alberta Dangler, 89, Continental, died at 11:20 a.m. Sunday in her son's home in Defiance.
She was born Nov. 4, 1912, in Plainview, Texas, the daughter of Perry and Susanna (Brenneman) Smith. In 1955, she married Marvin Dangler, who died in 1963. She was an employee at Lima Woolen Mill during Word War II, an Avon representative for 36 years and a member of Mt. Pleasant Mennonite Church, Cloverdale.
Surviving are two sons, Wesley Smith of Ottawa and Wayne Smith, Defiance; a stepson, Gerald Dangler, Paulding; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Larry (Janice) Bibler, Mrs. Marvin (Margie) Frankart and Mrs. Rolland (Joan) Howell, all of Continental, and Mrs. Douglas (Rhonda) Smalley, Paulding; and three grandchildren, 18 stepgrandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, 24 great-stepgrandchildren and three great-great-stepgrandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Arthur, Nelson and Norman Smith; three sisters, Esther Burkholder, Emma Shirk and Ruth Kraus; and a great-grandson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental, with Pastor Larry Bibler officiating. Burial will be in Monroe cemetery, Continental. Visitation is after 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Preferred memorials are to Hospice the Caring Way of Defiance or Putnam County Home Health.
