Harold Huber
HOLGATE - Former Malinta resident Harold E. Huber, 80, Holgate, died Wednesday in St. Mary's Hospital, Saginaw, Mich.
He was born Oct. 7, 1920, in Henry County's Monroe Township, the son of Carl Sr. and Anna (Rohrs) Huber. In 1948, he married
Emma Imbrock, who died in 1999. He was a farmer and a life member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hamler, where he served as a trustee, elder and financial officer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the North African and Italian Theaters.
Surviving are three sons, Eldon of Malinta, Richard of Lexington, S.C., and Marvin, Hamler; two daughters, Eileen of Indianapolis and Mary, Archbold; a brother, Carl Jr., Deshler; a sister, Mrs. Fred (Mildred) Anderic, Hamler; and nine grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Clarence, Edmund and Raymond; and a sister, Elvira Parker.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the church with Rev. Douglas Dewitt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military services accorded by Warren L. McIntyre Hamler American Legion Post 262. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home, Napoleon, and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
Preferred memorials are to the church building fund, Ronald McDonald House or a charity of the donor's choice.

Mathilda Badenhop
ARCHBOLD - Mathilda M. Badenhop, 91, Archbold, died Wednesday evening at Fairlawn Haven, Archbold.
She was born May 12, 1909, in Henry County's Freedom Township, the daughter of Christ and Minnie (Rohrs) Meyer. In 1928, she married
Henry Badenhop, who died in 1983. She worked at Kleck's Bakery, Archbold, for 20 years and was a member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church, Archbold.
Surviving are three sons, Elden of Archbold, Elmer of Napoleon and Dalynn, Perrysburg; and 21 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were two sons, Orville and James, in infancy; a daughter, Evelyn Meister; two sisters, Augusta Smith and Louise Drewes; and a grandson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the church with Rev. Thomas Lyberg officiating. Burial will be in Archbold cemetery. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Saturday and from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Sunday in Short Funeral Home, Archbold.
Preferred memorials are to the church, Fairlawn Chapel or a charity of the donor's choice.

HICKSVILLE - Dr. Paul B. Kerr, 81, Hicksville, died at 12:33 a.m. today in Community Memorial Hospital, Hicksville. Arrangements are pending at Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville.

Edna Bryan
LIBERTY CENTER - Edna Belle Bryan, 95, Liberty Center, died this morning in Northcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Napoleon.
She was born July 20, 1905, in Liberty Center, the daughter of Charles and Myrtle (Holford) Hoffman. In 1927, she married
Jett Bryan, who died in 1980. She graduated from Bowling Green Normal School with a teaching degree and taught for 20 years with her last position at Crissey School, Holland. She and her husband co-owned Bryan's Cash & Carry Grocery Store, Liberty Center, during World War II. She was a member of Liberty Center United Methodist Church and Henry County Retired Teachers' Association, a charter member of Liberty Center's American Legion auxiliary, a former member of Ohio Retired Teachers' Association and past matron of Order of Eastern Star, Liberty Center.
Also preceding her in death were a foster daughter, Christine Cunningham; a sister, Irene LaPlante; and a brother, in infancy.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, with Rev. Martin Denes officiating. Burial will be in Young's cemetery, Liberty Center. Visitation is from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
Preferred memorials are to the church or Liberty Center Public Library.

William Smith
Services for William G. Smith were held Thursday in Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home with Revs. Bill Davis and Bryan Maxey officiating. Burial was in Riverview Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were Bob Sarka, James Thompson, William and Christopher Race, Chad Hahn and John Standish.

Richard Wahl
Richard E. Wahl, 84, Defiance, died at 3:05 p.m. Wednesday in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.
He was born March 21, 1917, in Defiance County, the son of August and Delta (Gecowets) Wahl. In 1950, he married
Gladys Newton, who survives. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of Peace Lutheran Church and VFW Post 3360 and a machine operator at Johns Manville Corp., retiring in 1982.
Also surviving are a brother, Charles, Defiance; and a sister, Katherine Emmert, Garland, Texas.
Preceding him in death were three brothers, Phillip, James and Donald.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Wilken and Deacon George Newton officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery with military rites conducted by VFW Post 3360. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Friday.
Preferred memorials are to Northwest Ohio Lung Association or American Heart Association.

Leo Smith
BRYAN - Leo D. Smith, 85, rural Defiance County, died Wednesday morning in his home.
He was born Nov. 23, 1915, in Defiance County's Farmer Township, the son of Ralph and Carrie (Husted) Smith. In 1935, he married
Mary Burley, who survives. He was a farmer and a member of Farmer United Methodist Church, Farmer Board of Education, Farmer cemetery board and Central Local Board of Education.
Also surviving are four sons, Charles at home, Delmar of Bryan, Leon of Archbold and Ron, Edgerton; a sister, LaRue Desch, Defiance; and 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were two sons, Jim and Tom; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the church with Rev. Sharron Twining officiating. Burial will be in Farmer cemetery. Visitation is after 2 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday in Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
Preferred memorials are to Williams County Hospice or the church.

Ervin Forbes
BRYAN - Ervin Lewis Forbes, 78, Bryan, died Sunday morning in Community Hospitals of Williams County-Bryan.
He was born March 15, 1923, in Calhoun County, Mich., the son of Homer and Anna (Olney) Forbes. He was a truck driver for 35 years for Mohawk Motor Inc. and Central Transport, retiring in 1985. He was co-owner of Forbes Grocery, operator of Arvonwood Kennels in Stryker, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and later served in the reserves. He was also a member of Stryker Sportman's Club, VFW post and AMVETS Post 54, both of Bryan.
Surviving are three sons, Barry and John, both of Stryker, and Terry, West Unity; a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Jane) Woolace, Stryker; a brother, H. Roy, Bryan; and four grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, and a great-stepgrandchild.
Preceding him in death were two brothers, Harold and Warren; a sister, Bonita; and a half sister, Cora Davey.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Rice Funeral Home, Bryan, with Rev. John McFarlane officiating. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Saturday.
Preferred memorials are to Williams County Senior Center or Montpelier Home Healthcare.

Darryl Sullivan
CONTINENTAL - Darryl E. Sullivan, 64, Continental, died at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday in his home.
He was born April 16, 1936, in Continental, the son of Kenneth and Margaret (Moran) Sullivan. In 1960, he married
Janet Homier, who survives. He was self-employed and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Continental.
Also surviving are two sons, Kirk of Glandorf and Todd, Continental; a daughter, Mrs. Neil (Glynis) Dunlap, Continental; a brother, Bob, Lima; a sister, Mrs. Ed (Joyce) Rayle, Ayersville; and six grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and a brother, Loyal.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the church with Father Chris Vasko officiating. Burial will be in St. Barbara's Catholic cemetery, Cloverdale. Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. today and one hour prior to services Friday in Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental. There will be a rosary service at 8 p.m. today.

Alice Horn
NAPOLEON - Alice Ruth (Schwartzengraber) Horn, 59, Napoleon, died Wednesday morning in Henry County Hospital, Napoleon.
She was born Feb. 14, 1942, in Putnam County, the daughter of Elmer and Doris (Corkwell) Schwartzengraber. She was a cashier at Quadco Rehabilitation Center in Stryker and McDonald's, Napoleon.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Glen (Kathryn) George, Fort Worth, Texas; five brothers, Robert Schwartzengraber of Palo Cedro, Calif., Donald Schwartzengraber of Lebanon, Ore., James Schwartzengraber of Gomer and Charles and Doyle Schwartzengraber, both of Holgate; eight sisters, Viola Sorenson of Ayersville, Betty Frees of Radcliff, Ky., Wanda Noia of Holgate, Mrs. James (Mary) Mays of Oakwood, Carol Thrash of Jamison, Ala., Mrs. Lee (Kathy) Brinkman of Continental, Mrs. Gary (Charlene) Spencer of Napoleon and Jerrie Catto, Boise, Idaho.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and two brothers in infancy, Glen and Richard Schwartzengraber.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home, Napoleon, with Rev. Peter Marcis officiating. Burial will be in East Monroe cemetery, Continental. Visitation is from 7-9 today and one hour prior to services Friday.
Preferred memorials are to Ronald McDonald House of Toledo or a charity of the donor's choice.

William Woods
NAPOLEON - William J. Woods, 87, Napoleon, died Wednesday morning in his residence.
He was born Sept. 9, 1913, in Purly, N.C., the son of Samuel and Lillian (Slade) Woods. In 1938, he married
Florence Enholm, who died in 1997. He was the former owner and operator of Woods Auto Supply, Napoleon, and a Plain Township trustee of Wood County.
Surviving are two sons, Larry of Centerview, Mo., and Kenny, Napoleon; a daughter, Mrs. Joe (Sallee) Dildine, Grand Rapids; a brother, Richard, Sarasota, Fla.; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were a brother, Norman; and a grandson.
Services will be held at a later date. There is no visitation. Handling arrangements is Walker Mortuary, Napoleon.
