Betty Wallace
BRYAN - Betty Jean Wallace, 57, rural Bryan, died at 1:10 a.m. Friday in Harborside Healthcare, Bryan.
She was born Jan. 13, 1942, in Defiance County, the daughter of Erdis and Doris (Underwood) Seevers. In 1963, she married
Bud Wallace, who survives. She was a nurse's aide for 22 years, much of which was spent at Park View Nursing Center, Edgerton.
Also surviving are a son, David, Bryan; her mother, Bryan; four sisters, Rosemary Rice of Fort Wayne, Carol Card of Edgerton, Linda Nolan of Tallassee, Ala.; and Connie Hulbert, Bryan; two brothers, Robert Seevers of Edgerton and Jerry Seevers, Hudson, Ind.
Preceding her in death were her father; a brother, Samuel Seevers; and a sister, Peggy Scroggins.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with Rev. Jeff Woolum officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery, Edgerton. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday.
Preferred memorials are to a charity of the donor's choice.
Ashley Tadsen
FORT WAYNE - Ashley Nicole Tadsen, 9, Fort Wayne, died Friday from injuries sustained in an auto accident in Allen County.
She was born March 6, 1990, the daughter of Brian and Joan Tadsen. She was a fourth-grader at Shambaugh Elementary School.
Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Tom Brown, Fort Wayne; her father and stepmother, Mary Tadsen, Antwerp; a brother, Sean, Antwerp; and grandparents, Patricia Frymeyer of Auburn, Dennis and June Lucas of Antwerp and Tom and Judy Tadsen, Hicksville.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday (Ind. time) in D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Highland Park. Visitation will be from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday (Ind. time) and one hour prior to services Tuesday.
Preferred memorials are to the school.
Robert Ahr
FORT WAYNE - Robert L. Ahr, 76, Fort Wayne, died Friday at Parkview Hospital.
He was born in Decatur and was a buyer for Scott's Foods for 21 years, retiring in 1997. He was a realtor for Century 21 Bradley, involved with Disabled American Veterans and a member and deacon emeritus at Calvary Temple, Fort Wayne.
Surviving are his wife, EmmyLou; a son, Steven, Villa Hills, Ky.; two daughters, Christine Schaefer of Fort Wayne and Sandra Willard, Fortville; a brother, Donald, Fort Wayne; a sister, Sally Davis, Payne; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were two brothers, James and Edwin.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday (Ind. time) in the church. Burial will be in MRE cemetery, Berne. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Maplewood Park Funeral Home, Fort Wayne.
Preferred memorials are to the church.
Marjorie Ball
Services for Marjorie R. Ball will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Wilken officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today. Among survivors is a son, Eugene, Somersville, Ala. Also preceding her in death were two grandchildren.
Frederick Shawley
Services for Frederick Shawley were held Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Tim Kummerer officiating. Organist was Jim Dunham. Burial was in Riverside cemetery. Pallbearers were Tim Shawley, Melv Retcher, Augie Lombardo, Bill Mohr, Steve Grindle, Ed Altherr, Neil Seimet and Dennis Warburton. Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Evelyn Etter
CONTINENTAL - Evelyn E. Etter, 86, Continental, died at 7:09 p.m. Friday in Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa.
She was born Dec. 20, 1912, in Van Wert County, the daughter of Glen and Cora (Wollett) Adams. In 1930, she married
Carl Etter, who died in 1973. She was a homemaker and a member of Dupont Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are three daughters, Anita Okuley and Marlene Homier, both of Continental, and Janet Spitnale, Glandorf; a brother, Rudy Adams, Van Wert; two sisters, Joanne McCoy of Van Wert and Rose Marie Simpson, Port Charollett, Fla.; and 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Wendell and Glenwood Adams; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the church with Rev. Terry Porter officiating. Burial will be in Monroe cemetery, Continental. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today in Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental.

Oakley Bergman
HICKSVILLE - Oakley J. (Bergie) Bergman, 74, 100 Mill Creek Drive, Hicksville, died at 5:09 a.m. (Ind. time) Friday in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, where he had been a patient for the past week.
He was born Aug. 9, 1925, in Bryan, the son of Dale and Jessie (Fisher) Bergman. In 1946, he married
Jeanne Brandon, who survives. He worked for the Kroger Co. as a meat cutter for 27 years, Goldenetz Market in Hicksville for 17 years and Cline's Market in Hicksville for 16 years before retiring earlier this year. He was a member of Hicksville American Legion Post 223 and Hicksville Eagles Aerie 2556. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
Also surviving are a son, Ron, Bryan; two daughters, Sandy Sholl of Hicksville, and Deb Johnson, New Haven, Ind.; a brother, Denver, Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Edna Wagner of North Fort Meyers, Fla., and Betty Kemp, Edgerton; and four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville, with Rev. Fred Brandon. Military services will be conducted by Hicksville VFW and American Legion posts. Burial will be in Forest Home cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today.

George Snider
ANTWERP - George R. "Ron" Snider, 60, Antwerp, died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at home.
He was born April 18, 1939, in Fort Wayne, the son of Lloyd and Flossie (Bissell) Snider. In 1961, he married
Ann Erter, who survives. He worked as a classifier at Uniroyal Goodrich, Woodburn, and drove bus for Antwerp schools after his retirement. A member of Antwerp United Methodist Church, he was past co-chairman of its trustees. He coached Little League and Pee Wee teams in Antwerp and was a Cub Scout den master.
Also surviving are his mother, Antwerp; three sons, Michael of Butler, Ind., Matthew of Madison and Mark, Fairfield; a daughter, Margie, Fort Wayne; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Antwerp United Methodist Church with Rev. Thomas Ketzler officiating. Burial will be in Bethel cemetery, Cecil. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Monday at Dooley Funeral Home and an hour prior to services at the church.
Preferred memorials are to the church or the Paulding Visiting Nurses and hospice.
Earl Carlson
BRUNSWICK - Earl E. Carlson, 77, died Saturday at home.
He was born in Buffalo, N.Y., the son of Edwin and Agnes (Hopkins) Carlson. In 1942, he married
Katherine Colaric, who survives. He owned the funeral home in Sherwood and founded the Carlson Funeral Homes in Brunswick. A member of the National and Ohio Funeral Directors associations and the Ohio Embalmers Association, VFW Post 9520 and Knights of Columbus Council 4847, he was recently elected to the Brunswick Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame. He served in the United States Navy in World War II and was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
Also surviving are four sons, Michael and Patrick, both of Brunswick, Neil of Medina and Sean, Garrettsville; three daughters, Kathleen Bolan and Carleen, both of Brunswick, and Mrs. Timothy (Mary) Marcovy, Cleveland Heights; a sister, Mrs. Milton (Helen) Barrett of Seattle, Wash.; and 15 grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Hilkert officiating. Burial will be in Westview cemetery. Visitation is from 6-9 p.m. Monday and from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday at Carlson a Golden Rule Funeral Home.

Philomena Rieman
CUBA - Philomena M. Rieman, 90, Cuba, died at 11:18 a.m. Friday at Calvary Manor Nursing Home, Glandorf.
She was born March 2, 1909, in Putnam County, the daughter of Bernard and Katherine (Barlage) Vennekotter. In 1933, she married
Alfred Rieman, who died in 1983. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary and Catholic Ladies of Columbia societies.
Surviving are a son, Virgil, Ottawa; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Eileen) Kemper of Cloverdale and Mrs. Virgil (Margaret) Niese, Leipsic; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were four brothers, Casper, Bernard, August and John Vennekotter; three sisters, Mary Verhoff, Clara Kreinbrink and Adelaide Brown; and a stepbrother, Camillus Nartker.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with Rev. Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-9 p.m. Sunday, at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, where a Catholic Ladies of Columbia and Altar Rosary service will be at 8 p.m. Saturday and a Scripture Service at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Evelyn Heisler
EDGERTON - Evelyn M. Heisler, 86, Edgerton, died at 9:10 a.m. Saturday at Parkview Nursing Center.
She was born June 5, 1913, near Edgerton, the daughter of Harvey and Alma (Freyman) Reichman. In 1932, she married
Raymond Heisler, who died in 1991. She was a cook at many area restaurants including Dolly's in Edgerton, Kaufman's in Bryan and Hillsdale College and operated Ruth's Restaurant, Bryan.
Surviving are two sons, Allan of Edgerton and John, Montpelier; a daughter, Sharon Alwood, Toledo; six grandchildren, 12 great- grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and two great-stepgrandchildren.
Also preceding her in death was a brother.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Maple Grove cemetery with Rev. Eric Dailey officiating. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Krill Funeral Home.
Preferred memorials are to the Bryan Home Health Agency.
Elizabeth Behrens
GRAND RAPIDS - Former Deshler resident Elizabeth N. Behrens, 87, died Friday evening at Grand Rapids Care Center.
She was born Aug. 23, 1912, in Deshler, the daughter of John and Minnie (Grey) Behrens. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are five sisters, Thelma Kyle of Deshler, Mrs. Ralph (Cleo) Fry of Orlando, Fla., and Mabel Zimmerman, Betty Smigelski and Ruby, all of Grand Rapids.
Preceding her in death were a brother, Edward, and a sister, Anna May.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Davis officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery. Visitation is from 7-9 p.m. today.
