Charles R. “Bates” Mira, 79, of Bellevue died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, November 16, 2007.
Mr. Mira was born on June 17, 1928 in Bellevue to Joseph R. Mira and Rose (Triona) Mira-Ware, both deceased. Bates graduated from Bellevue High School in 1946 and entered the United States Navy in 1946 and was discharged in 1948. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Bellevue; the VFW in Bellevue and the Club Amerital; and had served on the board of the former IAB Club in Sandusky. Bates was a special consultant for the Bellevue Beer Dock Lounge and Pizza Room and Charlie’s Drive Thru, Bellevue.
His family was a great enjoyment and love for him including numerous in-laws in the large Muratori family in Sandusky.
Mr. Mira retired from the Ford Motor Co. in Sandusky where he had been a supervisor retiring in 1987 after 31 years of service. Prior to the Ford Motor Co., he had worked for the N&W; Railroad. He also owned and operated the Mira’s Café and its successor the Mardi Gras Lounge.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Dora (Muratori) Mira, whom he married
on April 24, 1954; three daughters, Cheryl A. Mira, Belleville, Michigan; Denise M. (Michael R.) Widner, Northwood, Ohio; and Lisa M. Mira, Bellevue and a son, Charles J. Mira (DeeAnn Tilley), Holland, Ohio; Five grandchildren: Erin (Matt) Spidare; David Widner; Lindsay (Tony) Katschke; Audrey Ann (Lucius) Mira and Charles B. Mira. Four brothers; Anthony J. Mira; Carl J. (RoseAnna) Mira; James J. Mira; Joseph W. (Pat) Mira; and one sister, Rosemary Klinski, all of Bellevue, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Theresa M. Anderson.

From Toledo: take Route 20 through Clyde, into Bellevue, turn left on Exchange Street ( which is across from CVS) to 5 points, go straight, that is Castalia St., also known as 269: OR
Turnpike get off at Route 4; turn right onto Route 4; first road is Strecker Road, turn right on it go to St Rt. 269, turn left.

Diane L. Sanders, 58, of Lyme Street, Bellevue died Monday, november 12, 2007 at her home.
She was born November 29, 1948 in Norwalk to Richard Sanders, who survives in North Fort Myers, Florida and Dorothy (Reed) Sanders, who is deceased.
She attended Norwalk High School and was a homemaker.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her brothers: Richard "Sonny" (Kathy) Sanders, Monroeville; Kelly (Diana) Sanders, Bellevue; Kim (Michelle) Sanders, Bellevue; and sisters: Kathie (Bob) Smith, Monroeville; Sue Sanders, Bellevue; and nieces and nephews.

Ernestine "Teenie" Opper, 95, formerly of Vickery, died on Sun., Nov. 4, 2007 at Elmwood Nursing Home, Green Springs.
Mrs. Opper was born in Townsend Township on May 17, 1912 to the late Leslie and Annabelle (Whitmore) Jenkins. She attended Townsend High School.
Mrs. Opper is survived by a daughter, Pat "Cookie" Duroy (Frank) of Iowa; a sister, Eileen Cunningham and nieces and nephews.
Teenie was preceded in death by her husband, Earl "Pat" Opper, whom she married
on Oct. 12, 1929 and he died on Oct. 18, 1981; two sisters, Ruth M. Toth-Coleman; Gertrude Tilson; and two brothers, Herbert Jenkins and Paul Jenkins.

Mr. Missimi was born in Sicily to the late Anthony and Rosa (Franco) Missimi. He came to America in 1955 and worked for International Metal Hose and the Columbus Showcase. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Bellevue.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Leonilda “Linda” (Russo) Missimi, whom he married
on December 6, 1947; a son, Tony Missimi of Bellevue; and four daughters: Rosa (Cologero) Pidala of Italy; Angie (Bill) Mickey of Newark; Mary (Mark) Meyers of Florida and Jackie (Brian) Filsinger of Bellevue. Eight grandchildren, Sammy Pidala; Maria Linda Miceli; Joshua Pennington; Jenna Mickey; Robi Meyers; Lindsay Beyer; Ashley Mallow; Kyle Mallow; and nine great grandchildren.
He is the last of his family.

Scott was born in Fremont, Ohio to the late Robert and Jean Marie (Burns) Forsythe. Scott graduated from Clyde High School in 1970. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Fremont VFW. He had served in the US Navy during Vietnam and was employed at Whirlpool Corp.
Scott is survived by his wife, Janet (Spitler) Forsythe, whom he married
on July 1, 1978; two daughters: Heather Richie of Bellevue; Koree Forsythe (fiance, Brendan Stokes) of Portage, Indiana; two sons: Jeremy (Jessica) Forsythe of Wickcliffe, Ohio; Timothy Forsythe (Brian Sturdevant) of Hilliard, Ohio; three grandchildren: Connor Forsythe, Ella and Elijah Stokes; three sisters: Sharon (Chuck) Baxter of Fremont; Barbara (John) Shaull of Bellevue; Carol (Tim) Hoffman of Sylvania; and two brothers: Gary Below and Tony (Jody) Mikolajczyk both of Fremont.
In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert and Timothy Forsythe.

Stella Perrine

Stella C. Perrine passed away at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky.
Stella was born in Bellevue, Seneca County, the daughter of Jacob G. and Veronica (Scherley) Claus, now deceased.
She married
James L. Perrine on May 3, 1945 at St. Charles Catholic Church in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia; he preceded her in death in 1995.
Stella was a graduate of Bellevue High School in 1943 and a graduate of the Cleveland Academy of Cosmetology in 1944. She worked at the Venice Beauty Shoppe in Cleveland, the Freechman Beauty Shoppe in the Ashford General Hospital in White Sulpher Springs, and at the Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulpher Springs, West Virginia where her husband was stationed at the time.
Stella was the owner-operator of Stella’s Beauty Salon on Main Street in Bellevue for over 50 years. Stella was a long time member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Bellevue until moving to Sandusky following her retirement, where she was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She was a resident at Providence Care Center, Sandusky for 3 ˝ years, prior to her transfer to Stein Hospice.
Stella is survived by four sisters, Rosemary Mesenburg of Huron, Rita Welsch of Pueblo West, Colorado, Eileen (Clayton) Siesel of Bellevue, Leona McLoughlin of Mechanicsville, Virginia, one brother, Jake (June) Claus of Huron and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Alma Alt, two nephews: Michael McLaughlin and Terrance Mesenburg and a niece Margaret Mesenberg.

Donald L. Kuns, 85, of rural Fremont, died on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at his home.
Mr. Kuns was born in Fremont to the late Lloyd and Florence (Eisenhour) Kuns and was a graduate of the Clyde High School in 1940. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clyde and had been a former Sandusky County Fair Board member for many years. He was a farmer all of his life.
Mr. Kuns was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda (Heyman) Kuns, whom he married
on Sept. 16, 1944, and she died on Sept. 14, 2006 and a brother, Clair Kuns.
Survivors include his son, Gary D. Kuns, of Fremont; daughter, Barbara (Robert) Cuevas, Fremont; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and a sister, Florence Wott of Clyde
