Esther married
Leo Hahl on Feb. 22 1936, he preceded her death in 1965.
Survivors include one son: Leo R. Hahl (Rosalie “Poe”) of Republic, two daughters: Leona Herman (Marcus “Max”) of Bellevue and Florence Boule (James) of Cincinnati. Fifteen grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild also survive.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Henney, and four brothers: Fred Reinhart, Leo Reinhart, Ruben Reinhart, and Francis Reinhart .
She was a member of St. Gaspar del Bufalo church and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Mrs. Hahl was a gifted quilter and enjoyed gardening.
For 18 years she worked in housekeeping at Bellevue Hospital, prior to that she did housekeeping for Redd School (Seneca Huron).

Carl Holmes and he died on Sept. 29, 1982.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and her close friends, Doris Tressler and Dick Babcock.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Norman Bilger and sisters: Florence Straub; Ruth Springer; Ethel Maye; and Viola Bilger.
She was a member of the Clyde Christian Church and had attended York School.

Carol l. Stratton Overmyer, 55, finally received her wings as she passed through the gates of heaven on Dec. 17, 2007. She will never be forgotten for her love of life.
On January 29, 1952, she was born in Bellevue, Ohio and attended Clyde Schools. She resided in Bellevue for many years, where she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Bellevue. Carol was a nurses aide at Arbors at Clyde for more than 10 years.
In June 1997, she wed Thomas Overmyer, and he preceded her in death, along with her father, William Stratton and paternal grandparents, Dewey and LuLu Stratton and maternal grandparents, Carlton Smarage and Ruth Cravens.
Carol is survived by her mother, Barbara Strattion of Bellevue, two children, daughter, Leslie (Brian) McCleese, Bellevue and a son, William (June) Johnson, Bellevue; three sisters, Nora Stratton of Clyde; Sue Hoffman, Clyde and Janet Bloomberg, Oakwood, GA, along with three grandchildren, Connor McCleese and Dezaria and Destiny Johnson.

John Raymond Sanford, II, 18, of Clyde died on Mon., Dec. 17, 2007 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital, Toledo.
John was born on Aug. 5, 1989 to John Raymond and Jacqueline (Swinehart) Sanford and had lived his life in Clyde. He was a student at Clyde High School.
He was a member of the Victory Christian Fellowship, Fremont and had been a boy scout, had played football, and trumpet.
In addition to his parents, John is survived by his sister, Chrissy Sanford, at home; his maternal grandmother, Lois Myers, Fostoria; maternal grandfather, William Swinehart, Lima; his paternal grandparents, William and Mary Ellen Sanford, Clyde and paternal great-grandmother, Mary Ellen Hudson. Also surviving are Carol Sanford; Barbara (Rex) Lejeune; William (Bev) Sanford: Alison Hoffman; James Sanford: Carson (Brenda) Myers; David Myers and Christina Lee, who are John's aunts and uncles.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Rita (Gilbert) Hay, whom he married
on June 19, 1965, also a son, Jeffrey and his wife, Joyce, Portage, MI. and a daughter, Jodi and Charles Gaietto, Tiffin, Ohio. Step-grandchildren, Mark Gaietto and Ashley Gaietto; siblings, Fred Hay, Attica; Barbara & Frank Risner, Lancaster, Pa; Sharon & Charles Durnwald, New Washington; Kathleen & Dean Miller, Bellevue; Larry & Eileen Hay, Clyde and Steve & Cheryl Hay Bellevue; Sandra & William Dean, Norwalk. Other family members include, father-in-law, Ernest Gilbert, Bellevue, Audrey and Richard Moyer and Pamela and Daniel Verhoff, both of Bellevue, numerous nieces and nephews, including a special great niece, Rachelle Forney. He was preceded by his parents, Leon Hay and Rose Marie (Hipp) Hay-Miller and his mother-in-law, Doris Ellen Gilbert.
Dennis graduated from Bellevue High School in 1959, he was also the captain of the football team his senior year.
Mr. Hay was a supervisor for the Ohio Dept. of Transportation; a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; Huron County Fair Board member. Among his enjoyments were camping, playing cards, fishing and traveling.

Mr. Gilbert was born in Clyde to the late LeRoy and Crystal Dawn (Gilbert) Gilbert. He graduated from Clyde High School in 1942 and served in the US Army and later the US Air Force during WWII. He was a baker, having started with the New System Bakery in Fremont and finally owning and operating the Danish Pastry in Fremont for 17 years, prior to his retirement in June of 1981. In 1961-62, he owned and operated the former Lighthouse in Clyde.
Mr. Gilbert was formerly a member of the Gold Wing Motorcycle Club Chapter S; and enjoyed working with wood and camping.
His survivors include his wife, Phyllis (Duecker) Gilbert, whom he married
September 20, 1945; two daughters, Beverly (Donald) Burroughs and Nancy (Louie) Snyder, both of Clyde. Five grandchildren: Rhonda (Brad) Mitchell; Susan Wilson; Dawn (Chris) Gibson; Leroy (Kim) Snyder; and Timothy (Alicia) Snyder. Twelve great-grandchildren and one sister, Doris Hirt of Clyde also survive.

Dale Drown

Mr. Drown was born in Fremont on Sept. 24, 1924 to the now deceased Glenn and Almeda (Howey) Drown.
He graduated from Green springs High School in 1942 and entered the US Army serving to WWII. He worked for 36 years at Whirlpool Corp and prior to that five years at the former Bendix. He retired from Whirlpool Corp. on April 1, 1990. During the 1950’s and 60’s he was a tv repairman. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where he distributed communion for 16 years, and was actively involved in the parish. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus; Buttons and Bows Square Dancing Group. He truly enjoyed his large family of children and grandchildren; playing cards; playing the guitar and singing; and antique cars.
Dale is survived by his wife, Donna (Bowers) Drown, whom he married
on Sept. 13, 1947; three daughters: Linda (Robert) Peters, Fremont; Angela (Terry) Young, Fremont and Theresa (Rich) Keegan) Clyde; six sons: Lynn (Paula) Drown, Monroeville; Dr. Michael (Colleen) Drown, Johnstown, Ohio; David (Rose) Drown, Hilliard; Ronald (Rosemary) Drown, Clyde; Joseph (Roxanne) Drown, Clyde and Timothy Drown, Clyde. Twenty eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren also survive, along with two sisters: Jean (Robert) Bowers, Medina; Patricia (Roger) Matson, Florida and two sisters-in-law: Mable Drown and Theresa Drown, both of Clyde.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Wendell Drown and Lyle Drown.

Marilyn Harnden

Marilyn was born in Knoxville, Tennessee to Eugene and Helen (Maxwell) Treece. She lived in Clyde most of her life. She is survived by a daughter, Kristi Harnden of Westlake, Ohio; her mother, in Cape Coral, Florida and her twin sister, Carolyn Kauble, of Clyde. Her nephew Scott Kauble also survives.
Marilyn graduated from Clyde High School in 1968 and attended Bowling Green State University. She worked for the Whirlpool Corporation in Clyde for the last 19 years.
She enjoyed all sports, but especially golf, tennis, and bicycling.
She was an avid reader also.
Memorials To: Memorials may be given to the Three Day Breast Cancer Walk in Cleveland, which is affliated with the Susan B. Kolman Foundation. Kristi walked in the event last year and hopes to do the same this coming year.
