Mr. Mann was born in Fremont to the now deceased Robert J. and Blanche (Whittaker) Mann, Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Judith E. (Dewey) Mann, whom he married
on Oct. 24, 1994; a daughter, Marsha (Terry) Rutherford, Fremont; two sons: Michael Mann, Fremont; James Mann, Clyde; eight grandchildren: Michaela; Justin; Lynzie; James; Timothy; Brooke; Robert and Jenny. Three step daughters: Mary (Leo) Chapman, Madisonville, Ky; Sherrie (Scott) Clark, Bellevue; Debbie (Billy) Knights, Madisonville, Ky; five stepsons: Michael Cotton, Madisonville; Ky; Troy Cotton, Sandusky; Eugene Cotton, Jr., Elkhart, Indiana; Richie Cotton, Madisonville, Ky. and Greg Cotton, Columbus. One great grandchild and 15 step grandchildren and step great grandchildren also survive.
Mr. Mann was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Clyde Firemen’s Association, formerly a member of the Clyde Fire Dept, had been the Master of Boy Scout Troop 327, and a member of the Clyde Eagles. Mr. Mann had formerly served as a Clyde City Council member.
He graduated from Clyde High School in 1954 and attended Tri State in Angola, Indiana. He was also an Army Veteran.
He was an electrician and electronics man for Whirlpool Corporation in Clyde for 32 years, retiring on March 1, 1997.

Virginia Kiser

Mrs. Kiser was born in Bellevue to the late Clarence and Pearl (Gildenmeister) Sawyer. She graduated from Clyde High School in 1939 and had been a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters: Pamela (Frank) DeBlase of Bellevue and Dee Miller of Bellevue; two sons: Donald G. (Martha) Miller of Bellevue and Jerry (Martha) Miller of Columbus. Seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive as does a brother, Melvin Sawyer of Clyde.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack L. Kiser and a sister, Pauline Adair and a brother, Clarence “Peewee” Sawyer.

Mrs. Marschke was born in Sandusky to the now deceased Clarence and Velma (Burr) Heishman. She was a member of the Clyde Gospel Hall and was a Liberty Center supporter. She graduated from Margaretta High School 1967.
Susan is survived by her husband, David R. Marschke, whom she married
on Oct. 14, 1967; a son, Shawn (Gemma) Marschke, Sycamore; and two daughters, Dawn Marschke, Clyde and Amy (Rick) McLain, Bellevue. Two grandchildren also survive as dooes a sister, Julie (Bill) Talbot, Bellevue; two brothers, Joe (Julie) Heishman, Marblehead; Jason Heishman, Port Clinton. Her sister, Kay Irene Heishman is deceased.

Mrs. Benfer was born in Bellevue to the now deceased Charles and Amanda (Biechler) Tibboles. She graduated from Thompson High School in 1932 and was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Fireside, where he had been a member of the church choir and had taught Sunday School for 25 years. She was also a member of York Grange.
She is survived by a son, Ron (Paula) Benfer of Troy; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Benfer, whom she married
on August 18, 1935 and he died on June 25, 1996; a daughter, Marjorie Finley on May 9, 1997; one grandson, Scott Ware in 1962; two sisters, Gladys Tibboles and Marian Nearhood; three brothers, Harley Tibboles, Melvin Tibboles and Gordon Tibboles.

Mrs. Claus was born on Dec. 15, 1918, in Melrose, Ohio, to the now deceased Charles and Minnie (Yeager) Switzer.
Survivors include two sons, Larry E.(Mary) Claus of Bellevue and Steven C.(Jane) Claus of Concord, N.C. Grandchildren, Joshua C.(Emily) Claus of Ashland, Ky., Tyson C. Claus of Concord, N.C., Seth A. Claus of Charlotte, N.C., and Katherine L.(Kevan) Gore and Lauren M. Claus, both of Belllevue, and a step greatgranddaughter Erica.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon H. Claus, whom she married
May 31, 1947, and who died Sept. 16, 2000; a son, Joseph Claus; a granddaughter, Melissa Michelle Claus; and three sisters, Lela Snyder and twin sisters, Pauline Switzer and Irene Aldrich.
She grauated in 1937 from Continental High School and was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Gaspar del Bufalo Catholic Church, formerly St. Sebastian. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, quilting and collecting recipes. Her green thumb was evident with her houseplants.
Thomas John Polter

Tom was born in Fremont to the late John Peter and Ruth Clara (Gilbert) Polter. He graduated from Ross High School in 1962 after attending the Riley Township School. He was an Army veteran in the Viet Nam War and had worked at Brush Wellman.
He is survived by two sisters: Marian (Kenneth) Colvin of Clyde and Linda Barcus of Fremont; and a brother, Bruce (Annette) Polter, of Fremont. Seven nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Avery was born in Sandusky to the late Lee and Helen (Miller) Schoewe.
Judy's survivors include her husband, James. F. Avery, whom she married
on April 30, 1960; a daughter, Lisa (Stephen) Sanders of Bealeton, Va; two sons; Greg J. Avery of Clyde and James C. (Debb) Avery of Indianapolis; three grandsons; Garrett; Rafe; Dalen Sanders.
She was preceded by an infant sister, Jane Schoewe; a brother Richard Schoewe and a sister, Joyce Schoewe.
She graduated from Sandusky High School in 1958. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clyde where she was serving as the secretary of the Church Council; she was also a member of the Eastern Star.
Judy loved to entertain family with her delicious cooking and truly enjoyed her work at the Clyde-Green Springs Schools' Board Office.
For thirty-three and a half years, she worked for the Clyde-Green Springs Schools, and for thirty-one of those years she was the administrative assistant to the schools' superintendent, having worked for four superintendents.

Gladys Mae Brugger

Mrs. Brugger was born in Green Springs to the now deceased John and Bessie (Ludwig) Miller.
On August 25, 1945 she married
John L. Brugger and he preceded her on Feb. 2, 1994.
Two daughters survive, Judy Meek (Bob Futrell) of Little Switzerland, NC and Evelyn “Susie” Hemmer of Vickery. Three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive. Her sister, Helen (Robert) Pine survives in Bellevue.
Mrs. Brugger was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Hoffman and two brothers, Charles Miller and Ralph Miller.
She graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1938, was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Vickery and NOPE.
For eighteen years she worked at the Sandusky County Home, retiring in 1970.
