Surviving is her daughter, Taunya Henley of Laguna Niguel, California; brother, Robert (Donna) Huffman of Diamond Bar CA; sister, Linda (Edward) Thurn, of Clyde; four step-grandchildren; four nephews; three nieces; eight great-nephews and six great nieces. Ms Huffman was preceded by her parents, Charles and Wilma Huffman and by her step-mother, Betty Huffman of Clyde.
She attended Clyde High School and graduated from York High School in 1960.
Ms Huffman attended Airline School in Connecticut, after high school graduated, and became a reservationist. She later moved to California and changed occupations. Ms Huffman was retired from the television and movie industry where she was a Production Coordinator of the “Moonlighting” series with Bruce Willis and Sybil Shepard; “The Gambler” with Kenny Rogers; “Smokey & the Bandit” with Burt Reynolds, among many others

Chelton Paul McElwain

Survivors include his wife, Frances (Lovins) Wilder-McElwain, : two sons: Paul A. McElwain and David (Melissa) McElwain, both of Bellevue and two daughters Cherylle (Alfonso) Rossi and Candyce (Alan) Meyer both of Bellevue. Two step children: William wilder, of Bellevue, and Susan O’Brien, Clyde..Six grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. Paul has four sisters surviving: Marie Yahnert, Warren; Helen Heath, Bellevue; Doris Madsen, Cape Coral, Fla; and Connie rein, Chardon, Ohio; and one brother, James McElwain of Windsor, Ohio He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie Bollinger McElwain whom he married
on Nov. 1947 and she preceded in 1972.
Paul received a purple heart while serving in the US Navy in WWII
He retired in Dec. 1986 from the Clevite Corp in Milan. He was the former owner of the Vickery Tavern a member of the Bellevue Elks; Eagles and VFW and the American Legion in Monroeville. He was a life member of the Bellevue MOOSE.

Mrs. Clapp is survived by two daughters: Marsha (Jack) Rine, Green Springs; and Barbara (Roger) Liston, Bellevue; and three sons: William David (Kathy) Clapp, of Flat Rock; and Richard Clapp (Carolyn LaJennis) of La Peer, Michigan and Ronald (MaryAnn) Clapp of Flat Rock, Ohio; fifteen grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Also two sisters, Patricia (Ted) Good of Burgoon and Jane Miller of Bellevue survive. She was preceded by her husband, William H. Clapp, whom she married
on July 20, 1945 and he died on Dec. 23, 2000; a son, Michael I. Clapp and a sister, Leola Brine.
In 1944 she graduated from Thompson High School and then from Tiffin University in 1946, later she graduated from Bowling Green and for 23 years taught school in Republic and Bellevue.
She was a member of the First Missionary Church, Clyde and the Retired teachers of Sandusky County. LaVonne enjoyed fishing and camping with her husband and family, as well as football, golf, tennis and basketball on television.

James Patton

Survivors include one son, James (Tina) Patton, Sandusky; and four daughters: Sharon (Robert) Lee, Upper Sandusky, Ohio; Shirley (David) Wiley, Toledo; Janice (Mark) Crooks, Clyde; and Cindy Boyd, Athens, Ohio. Ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Ernest Patton and Lawrence Patton
He was a member of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. He served with the US Army during WWII.
For thirty-eight years he worked at Whirlpool Corp. as a M.O. Welder, retiring on Oct. 1, 1984

He leaves to cherish his memory wife, Helen of 58 years; sons: Dennis (Marcia) DuBell; Bruce (Lori) DuBell and Raymond DuBell. Grandchildren Dawn Marie; Robert Ernes, Jr. (Jenny); Jasmine, Genna and Bethany DuBell. The light of his life, great grandson, Garrett Allen DuBell. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert E. DuBell and sister, Gertrude Warner.
He graduated from Macomber High School in 1948 and married
his high school sweetheart, Helen Bowman, Sept. 1948.
Bob was employed for 28 years at General Electric Supply Co. in Toledo and 14 years at Sabroski Electric Co., Fremont as a buyer. They were the parents of four boys. Bob attended the boys' football games during their high school years. He also was a part of their Indian Guide experience. Bob joined the Coast Guard Aux, in 1979 and was part of the search and rescue team. He also taught Safe boating classes for many years. He inspected boats for safety gear for the Coast Guard. When he could no longer use his foot, due to his health, he retired and joined the Tiffin Ohio Radio Control Modelers, serving in several offices. He built many models of various sizes. He was a member of Clyde First United Methodist church.

Lois Jean Hall

She is survived by sons: Terry (Kay) Hall of Fremont and Larry (Linda) Hall of Clyde, a brother, Richard (Varal) Askins and a sister, Bonnie Sylvester. Seven grandchildren: Lisa Drown; T.J. Hall; Aaron Hall; Kelly Carty; Jeff Hall and Greg Hall and eleven grandchildren also survive. She is preceded by a son, Jeffrey Hall and a brother Jack Askins.
Mrs. Hall graduated from Green Springs High School and in 1942 married
Willard R. Hall.

on July 2, 1955 and he died on Aug. 27, 1989; and two brothers, Robert Flechner and Donald Flechner.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Clyde. She had been a secretary at Whirlpool Corp in Clyde prior to her retirement in 1989.

on Nov. 8, 1969; daughters: Ilean (Robert) Clouse of Clyde; and Anita Knisely, Bellevue and a son, McNeil Hemphill (Traci) of Youngstown. Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren; a sister, Hazel Shaffer, Ford City Pa and a brother, Albert Scott also survive. She was preceded in death by sisters: Mary Heasley; Ada Heasley; Helen Rubright; and brothers; Bill; Dale; and John Scott.
She was a member of the Calvary Baptist church.

Verna Horne

On Sept. 19, 1952, she married
Charles Horne and he preceded her in death on July 1, 1987. She is survived by a daughter, Darlene (Larry) Lay of West Virginia; and two sons: Charles Horne, Jr. of Green Springs and Donald (Josephine) Horne of Clyde. Six grandchildren and six step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren also survive. A brother, Hobert Owens of London, Kentucky and a sister, Louvada Bates ov Hamilton, Ohio survive as well.
Verna was born in Laurel County, Kentucky on April 21, 1934 to the now deceased Charlie and Priscilla (Gray) Owens. She moved to Clyde in 1959 and was member of the Eastern Star

He is survived by his wife, Regina (Perini) Steager, whom he married
on April 3, 1977, in New York City; one son: Joe Steager of Canal Winchester; five daughters; Connie Heiberger (Ken), Lancaster; Karen Hoffman (Tony), Lancaster; Rebecca Black (Kurt), Sandusky; Laura Legg (Eric) Lancaster; Amy Welty (Kyle), Westerville. A step-son, Dennis Blue (Joyce) of Port Clinton and a stepdaughter, Linda Dray, Fremont. Sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive as well as four step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. A brother, Timothy Steager (Barbara) of Vickery and a sister, Carolyn Ladd (Bob) of Delphos are survivors. He was preceded in death by a twin brother, John William “Jackie” Steager on March 10, 1929.
He graduated from Townsend High School in 1946 and was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Vickery. He had been the past president of United Steel Worker’s Union. He retired from Kelsey-Hayes as a tow motor operator, but prior to that employment he had worked as the credit manager at Firestone; the Steager and Peters Store; and as a mechanic at Dodge Plymouth.
