Mary Louise McBride
(1917 - 2006)
Mary Louise McBride, 89, of Bryan, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006, at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home, Montpelier, where she had been a resident for the last two months.
She was born April 17, 1917, at Bentonville, Ind.
Employed by Bryan Custom Plastics, she was a machine operator and inspector until her retirement in 1979.
Surviving are three daughters, Vonna Jean O'Doul and Marsha L. McBride, both of Peoria, Ariz., and Jean L. Long of Edon; seven grandchildren, Rusty Hesselschwardt of Ney, Terri Snyder of Sherwood, Doug Goebel in Louisiana, Daniel Goebel, Deshell Abbott and Dawn O'Doul, all in Arizona, and Ron Hesselschwardt in Washington; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Maxine Kulka of Lewisville, Texas.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Goldie Green; a brother, John Kinder; and a great-granddaughter, Taylor Snyder.
Memorial services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with Pastor John MacFarlane of Bryan First Baptist Church to officiate.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, the American Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Sandra Kay Stickan
(1946 - 2006)
Sandra Kay Stickan, 60, of Bryan, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006, at her residence.
Born Feb. 12, 1946, in Sidney, to Dottie S. (Schmidt) and Jacob W. Boesel, she married
Steven L. Stickan on June 1, 2004, in Rockville, and he survives.
A 1964 graduate of New Bremen High School, she retired on Jan. 1, 2006, after 25 years as a media center aide for the Montpelier High School.
In 1980, she was instrumental in instituting the drug and alcohol program, the only one still in Williams County, in the Montpelier School system as the facilitator.
She was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church, Butler, Ind.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Douglas (and wife, Vicie) Bitler of Springfield; a daughter, Mrs. Jeff (Debra) Lehmann of Bryan; five grandchildren, Chelsea and Zach Bitler and Austin, Josh and Dylan Lehmann; and a sister, Constance Frericks of Minneapolis, Minn.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Thompson Funeral Home, Montpelier.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Saneta Mhache to officiate. Interment will be at Maple Grove cemetery, Edgerton.
Memorials may be made to the Montpelier Schools Drug and Alcohol program.
Jeanette Clack
(1922 - 2006)
COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. - Jeanette Clack, 84, of Columbia City, died Monday morning, Aug. 14, 2006, at the Oaks Nursing Home.
Born Feb. 12, 1922, at Decatur, to Mary C. (Fitzpatrick) and Joy Malcolm Trautman, she married
James Darius Clack on Aug. 13, 1947, at Montpelier.
Reared in the Decatur and Montpelier, Ohio, areas, she was a 1940 graduate of Montpelier High School. She also graduated from Bowling Green State University and attended Saint Francis College, Fort Wayne, for two years. She taught second grade for 29 years at Washington Center and Columbia Township schools, retiring in 1986.
She was a member of the Columbia City United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority, Kappa Kappa Kappa Sorority, Board of Directors of the Whitley County Chapter of the American Cancer Society, Whitley County Retired Teacher's Association, Indiana Teacher's Association, Town and Country Extension Club and the Wellness Child Clinic.
Surviving are a son, Jeffrey Thomas (and wife, Darlene) Clack of Columbia City; a daughter, Mary Catherine 'Cathy' Sincroft of Warsaw, a daughter - in - law, Carolyn Clack of Columbia City; four granddaughters, Melissa Clack and Jennifer Sheets, both of Columbia City, Amie Godfrey of Grayslake, Ill. and Danielle Maley of Columbia City; two grandsons, Brad (and wife, Jennifer) of Hanson, Mass. and John David (Erin) Sincroft of Indianapolis; and a sister, Mrs. Norville (Virginia) Cramer of Hillsdale, Mich.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, James David and Jerry E. Clack; and a brother, James Trautman.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. in the DeMoney - Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, Columbia City. The Order of Eastern Star will provide a Twilight Memorial Service Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Paul Arnold of Columbia City United Methodist Church to officiate. Burial will follow at South Park Annex cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or Heartland Hospice.

William A. Beggs Jr.

MONTPELIER - William A. Beggs Jr., 76, of Montpelier, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2006, at his residence.
Born Jan. 31, 1930, at Carrier Mills, Ill., to Belva (Morse) and William A. Beggs, he married
Vonnie L. Chase on April 9, 1950, at Elderado, Ill., and she survives.
A 1948 graduate of Carrier Mills High School, he was formerly employed at Mohawk Tool in Montpelier for five years. He had founded, owned and operated Action Precision Products in Pioneer in 1972 until his retirement in 1997 after 25 years.
A U.S. Air Force veteran, having served during the Korean War, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Potomac, Ill. and the Pioneer American Legion Post 307.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Gary A. Beggs of Montpelier; a daughter, Mrs. Ric (Linda) Heisler of Montpelier; four grandchildren, Brian Heisler of Cuyahoga Falls, Annie Kauffman of Bryan, Kara Beggs and Kylie Beggs, both of Montpelier; two great-grandchildren, Kasen Kauffman of Montpelier and William Heisler of Cuyahoga Falls; a brother, Jim (Joe Nell) Beggs of Montpelier; and a sister, Mary Travelstead of Carrier Mills, Ill.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 9 p.m. in the Thompson Funeral Home, Montpelier. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor John H. Crilley to officiate. Interment will be in Riverside cemetery with graveside military rites conducted by the Pioneer Vets.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers.
Dale E. Grime
(1925 - 2006)
WAUSEON - Dale E. Grime, 80, of rural Wauseon, died Monday morning, Aug. 14, 2006, at his home.
Born Dec. 24, 1925, to Viola (Dominique) and Cyril Grime, he married
Lucille Zimmerman on July 17, 1948, and she survives.
Prior to his retirement in 1988, he had worked for the Wauseon Foundry for over 44 years. A member of St. Caspar's Catholic Church in Wauseon, he was a Marine veteran of World War II and was a life member of both the Wauseon VFW Post and the Wauseon American Legion post.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Jim (and wife, Judy) Grime and Ron (Nancy) Grime, of Wauseon; two daughters, Mrs. Joel (Diane) Michael and Pamela Grime, of Pettisville; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Fowler of Defiance.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Baumgartner.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 - 8 p.m. in the Pope John XXIII Room at St. Caspar Catholic Church.
A funeral mass will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the church with the Rev. Father Robert Holden to officiate. Interment will follow in the St. Caspar cemetery. Edgar - Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Hospice, The Caring Way, of Williams and Fulton Counties or to the American Cancer Society.
Mary Jane King
(1923 - 2006)
ARCHBOLD - Mary Jane King, 83, of Archbold, died Sunday afternoon, Aug. 13, 2006, at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home at Archbold, where she had resided since July 11, 2006.
Born July 18, 1923, at Leo, Ind., to Anna (Liechty) and Guy Bauman, she married
Olen King on June 8, 1941, and he survives.
A resident of the Archbold area since 1941, she was a homemaker.
She did volunteer work at Fairlawn Haven for several years, volunteered much time assisting others in need, and was actively involved at Grace Gospel Mission in Toledo for 32 years. She was a member of the Pettisville Missionary Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. E. J. (Brenda) Horst of Archbold and Mrs. Jim (Sharon) Haxton of Toledo; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and three sisters, Mrs. Paul (Ilene) Miller of Leo, Ind., Mrs. Lester (Eloise) Mast of Milford, Ind. and Mrs. Ray (Eleanor) Yoder of Grabill, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Edwin Bauman.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 - 8 p.m. in the Pettisville Missionary Church.
Memorial services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the church with Pastor John Horning and David Dyck to officiate. Interment will precede in the Pettisville cemetery with Pastor Rick Jones to officiate. Short Funeral Home, Archbold, is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Youth for Christ or the donor's favorite charity.
Daryl D. Hayward
(1947 - 2006)
FAYETTE - Daryl D. Hayward, 59, of Fayette, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2006, at Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon.
Born March 7, 1947, to Florence (Garman) and Robert Hayward, he married
Sharon Riegsecker on Feb. 11, 1971, and she survives.
He was a parts technician for Sauder Woodworking in Archbold where he had worked for over 25 years.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his mother, Florence Hayward of Wauseon; twin sisters, Mrs. Marty (Bonnie) Lopez of Delta and Mrs. Jim (Connie) Baldwin of Wauseon; a brother, Dale (and wife, Jean) Hayward of Delta; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and a son, Bradley D. Hayward.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 - 8 p.m. in the Edgar - Grisier Funeral Home, Wauseon.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the West Clinton Mennonite Church with Pastor Daniel Bare to officiate. Interment will follow in the Floral Grove cemetery, West Unity.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Nathanial J. "Nate" Pannell

DEFIANCE - Nathanial J. "Nate" Pannell, 13, of Defiance, died Sunday morning, Aug. 13, 2006, at Toledo Children's Hospital, Toledo, Lucas County, after a lengthy illness.
Born Sept. 3, 1992, at Columbus, he was the son of Denise R. (Shock) and John D. Pannell.
A student at Fairview Middle School, he had just finished the seventh grade. He was class vice president, a member of the school vanguard honors, member of the school quiz team, member of the school band playing the trombone and member of the school baseball, football and basketball teams. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Defiance.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Nicholas "Jack" Pannell of Defiance; grandparents, Carl and Sheila Vincent of Greenville, Tenn., Lynn and Sharon Sheets of Defiance and Dennis and Sandra Shock of Pleasant Lake, Ind.; and great-grandparents, John and Marjorie Leonard of Defiance and Doris Shock of Defiance.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Pannell.
Visitation will be held today from 6 - 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 - 8 p.m. in the Lawson - Roessner Funeral Home, Defiance.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the St. John Catholic Church, Defiance, with Father Dennis Walsh to officiate. Interment will be at Riverside cemetery, Defiance.

Lewis E. Addison Jr.
(1949 - 2006)
Lewis Edward Addison Jr., 56, of Bryan, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2006, at his home.
Born Oct. 29, 1949, at Oberlin, to Elsie Christine (Hostetler) and Lewis Edward Addison Sr., he married
Casey B. Bohner on April 28, 1990, at Celina, and she survives.
A graduate of Western Reserve High School, he held management positions with Verizon Communications for 30 years. He retired as the local manager of the Bryan and Bowling Green service areas with Verizon.
He had served as mayor of Fayette from 1984 - 1988 and served on the Fayette village council from 1980 - 1984, serving two years as council president. He returned to council in 1989 to fill an unexpired term, giving him 10 years of service to the Fayette community.
He was a member of the Gorham Fayette Masonic Lodge No. 387, of which he served as Master two times. He was a 25 year member of the Scottish Rite of Toledo and a Life member of the Bryan Moose Lodge No. 1064, of which he was a two - time governor. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2489 Men's Auxiliary in Bryan and the Sons of the American Legion Post No. 210 in Celina.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, Jeffery Addison of Perrysburg; two grandsons; four stepdaughters, Christy Coutz of Pioneer, Cathy Lesniak of Hudson, Mich., Ronda Goebel of Bryan and Karen Cline of Edgerton; eight stepgrandchildren; and two sisters, Christine Archbaucht of Sarasota, Fla. and Peggy Wolff of North Point, Fla.
Services, conducted by the Bryan Masonic Lodge, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan.
