Annie Pearl Simmons, 79, died today, Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at Harborside Healthcare Northwestern Ohio - Bryan where she had been a resident for the last seven years. Service arrangements are pending at Krill Funeral Service, Bryan.
Erma M. Storrer
ARCHBOLD - Erma M. Storrer, 89, of Archbold, died Thursday afternoon, Jan. 25, 2007, at the University of Toledo Medical Center.
She was the widow of Ralph Storrer.

Genevee J. (Stuller) Lung

SUN CITY, Ariz. - Genevee J. Lung, 86, of Sun City and formerly of Montpelier, Ohio, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at Hospice of Arizona, Peoria.
Born July 29, 1920, at Montpelier, Ohio, to Ethel M. (Bowles) and Curtis F. Stuller, she married
Richard C. Lung on July 30, 1938, at Montpelier, and he preceded her in death on March 12, 1994. A 1938 graduate of Montpelier High School, she had resided in Sun City since 1984.
She was a homemaker and had assisted her husband in the owning and operating of Dick's Bike Shop in Montpelier for 17 years.
She was a former member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Barry (and wife, Darla) of Glendale and Bruce (Marina) of Toledo, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Darrell (Bonnie) Banks of Peoria and Mrs. Larry (Beth) Snyder of Oak Harbor, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Le Moyne M. Ester.
Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Thompson Funeral Home - Montpelier. Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Larry D. Snyder to officiate. Interment will be at Riverside cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Wayne B. 'Junior' DeLong Jr.

Wayne B. "Junior" DeLong Jr., 64, of Bryan, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Bryan, shortly after being admitted.
Born Sept. 10, 1942, at Fort Wayne, Ind., to Velma M. (Peckhart) and Wayne B. DeLong Sr., he married
Kathleen M. "Katie" Whitsel on April 16, 1966, at Bremen, Ind., and she survives.
An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a construction superintendent for over 41 years, working with the former Indiana Construction of Fort Wayne for 19 years, Buesching Brothers Construction of Fort Wayne for 12 years and Mason Engineering of Fort Wayne for the past three years.
He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan, and the Carpenters Local No. 372, Lima. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Coleen DeLong of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Mrs. Jack (Caren) Neal of Corpus Christi, Texas; three sons, Wayne (and wife, Lisa) DeLong III of Buford, Ga., Willard (Doris) DeLong of Bryan and 1st Lt. Walter (Erin) DeLong, United States Army of El Paso, Texas; five grandchildren, Tailor, Blayne, Ashley and Alex DeLong and Andrew Kramer; a brother, Jerry DeLong of Coldwater, Mich.; and three sisters, Mrs. Richard (Christine) Miller of Defiance, Mrs. Tom (Jacqualine) Herrington of Ney and Kathleen Shepherd of Kendallville, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no visitation or services. Private burial will take place in Brown cemetery, Bryan. Arrangements are by Krill Funeral Service, Bryan.

Betty J. Fee

EDGERTON - Betty J. Fee, 74, of Edgerton, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at her home after a brief illness.
Born July 25, 1932, at Garrett, Ind., to Ida (Murphy) and Walter Deal, she married
Jack Donaldson on Sept. 2, 1950, and he preceded her in death in 1993. She then married
Brooks R. Fee on Dec. 5, 1996, at Angola, Ind., and he survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Randy (Sherri) Black of Toledo; two grandchildren, Haley and Andy Black of Toledo; two stepsons, Steven and Tim Fee, both of Atlanta, Ga.; five stepdaughters, Rosalene Fuller of Angola, Ind., Linda Mazurek and Joanna Davis, both of Atlanta, Ga., Rebecca DelSanto of Baltimore, Md., and Cindy Tinberg of Chicago, Ill.
In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Toni and Kim Donaldson; two sisters, Lilly Hildebrandt and Violet Refner; and a brother, Arthur Deal.
There will be no services. Interment will be private in Maple Grove cemetery, Edgerton.
Arrangements are by Krill Funeral Service, Edgerton.
Mary Walters

SHERWOOD - Mary Margaret (Diehl) Walters, 88, died early Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at Harborside Healthcare of Defiance.
Born Jan. 24, 1918, at Mark Township of Defiance County, to Elva (Platter) and Emmet Diehl, she married
Claron 'Bob' Walters on Dec. 26, 1936, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 1997. A graduate of Mark Center High School, she was a member of the Mark Center Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women's Organization, holding the office of vice president for many years. She was also a member of the Mark Township Grange and the Town and Country Garden Club, and was secretary of the Mark Center Educational Club.
Surviving are three sons, Paul (and wife, DeDra), John (Ruby) and Ed (Deb), all of Hicksville; two daughters, Mrs. Virgil (Janice) Hoene Of Sherwood and Mrs. Kenneth (Sue) Young of Paulding; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Darrell (Hazel) Jones of Mark Center.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were her parents; two brothers, the Rev. Terry Diehl and Robert Diehl; and three sisters, Lorene Wesche, Irene Diehl and an infant sister. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. in the Burr Funeral Home & Crematory of Sherwood.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas Graves and the Rev. Clarence Zimmerman to officiate. Burial will follow in Sherwood cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Mark Center Methodist Church or an organization of the dono's choice.
Joyce K. Hootman

EDGERTON - Joyce K. Hootman, age 72, of Edgerton, died on Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, N.C., after a battle with cancer. Mrs. Hootman was a 1952 graduate of Edgerton High School and a Home Interior Displayer for over 30 years. She was a member of the Edgerton Church of Christ, where she was active in the ladies aide and as a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and was Queen Mother of the Hidden Cove, Florida, Red Hat Society. She was also a member of the Edgerton Garden Club and the 111th Ohio Volunteer Infantry (O.V.I.) She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and spending time with friends and family. She was also an avid baseball fan and loved to travel and go camping.
Joyce K. Hootman was born on Dec. 1, 1934, near Edgerton. She was the daughter of Walter and Mary Kathryn (Miller) Humbarger. She married
Vern H. Hootman on Jan. 30, 1954, in Edgerton and he survives.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hootman is survived by her children, Steve Hootman of Edgerton, Kathy (John) Bailey of Cary, N.C., Christine (Allan Wright) Hootman of Fort Wayne, Ind., Jackie (Dan) O'Dowd of Denver, Colo. and Christopher (Lillie) Hootman of Dayton. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Ollie Rindos, Colette Schroeder, Andi Casebere, Drake Bailey, Shannon and Bradey Wright, Christopher, Lexie and Jack O'Dowd, Justin, Joshua, Jaclynn, Jacob and Jared Hootman; one great-granddaughter, Grace Schroeder; and four sisters, Diane Mazeppi of El Cajon, Calif., Carma Merker of Piqua, Eileen Davis of Vandalia and Elaine Boggs of Cincinnati. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Services for Joyce K. Hootman will be on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. in the Edgerton Church of Christ with Minister D.V. Dillinger officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove cemetery in Edgerton. Visitation will be on Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton.
Memorials in the name of Joyce K. Hootman may be given to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge at 2806 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206 or to the Edgerton Church of Christ.
Michael K. Rush

FINDLAY - Michael K. Rush, 68, of Findlay, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at Blanchard Valley Hospital.
Born Oct. 5, 1938, at Findlay, to Martha (Haley) and Robert Rush, he married
Rose Mary Woodward on June 21, 1959, at College First Church of God, and she survives.
A 1957 graduate of Findlay High School, he had served as a Specialist 5 in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1961 - 1963.
In 1966 he operated Mike's Sohio, later Mike's Marathon and Mike's Gulf. In 1980 he went to work for Ball Metal Corporation and retired after 24 years of service on June 1, 2004.
He attended College First Church of God and was a member of Loyal Order of Moose No. 698, AMVETS Post NO. 21, Ralph D. Cole Post No. 3 American Legion and was a 50 - year member of I.O.O.F. Hancock Lodge No. 73, U.S.G.A.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his parents, Martha and Robert Rush of Temple, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. R. Scott (Beth Ann) Kraemer of Bryan; granddaughters, Lauren and Jessica Kraemer; and a sister, Mrs. Dr. Donald (Diane) Cooney of Temple, Texas.
Visitation will be held Friday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. in the Coldren - Crates Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Military services will be conducted by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad.

Wilma Viola Hammond

ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. - Wilma Viola Hammond, 91, formerly of Reading, Mich., died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007, at Zephyrhills.
Born July 31, 1915, at Cambria, Mich., she was the daughter of Lulu F. (Dickerson) and John "R.J." Esterline. Following the loss of her mother, she was raised by her grandparents, John D. and Loretta Esterline. On April 27, 1935, she married
Jay L. Hammond and he preceded her in death in 2002.
A resident of the Reading are for most of her life, she had graduated from Reading High School. She had moved to Zephyrhills in 1988.
She was a member of North Reading Baptist Church and Temple Baptist Church in Dade City.
Surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins, including some in the Williams County area.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Guy, Burl, Blon, Dale, Theryll and Marshall Esterline.
Visitation will be held Saturday from noon until 2 p.m. in the George White Funeral Home, Reading.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Don Harkey to officiate. Interment will follow in Maplewood cemetery, Reading.
Memorials may be made to the Gideons International or North Reading Baptist Church.
Ruth E. Beach

COLDWATER, Mich. - Ruth E. Beach, 86, of Coldwater, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at the Community Health Center of Branch County.
Born Feb. 1, 1920, in Williams County, Ohio, to Ella May (Rigelman) and Roscoe McCrea, she was raised by adoptee parents, Nellie (Freeman) and Dore Osborn.
On Jan. 9, 1943, she married
Owen Beach and he preceded her in death on May 4, 1969.
A graduate of Montgomery High School, she retired from the Coldwater Regional Center.
An active member of California Corners Presbyterian Church, she had served as a church elder and Sunday school teacher. She was a member of the California Corners Garden Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ken (Robyn) McClellan of Quincy; a son, Mike Beach of Phoenix, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Matt and Jim McClellan of Florida; two sisters, Luella Humphrey of Edon, Ohio, and Elsie Canner of Whiting, Ind.; a brother, Ross McCrea of Hammond, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Aldena Parson.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 - 6 p.m. in the George White Funeral Home, Reading.
A memorial service will be May 5 at the California Corners Presbyterian Church, 816 Halls Corner Rd., Montgomery, with interment following in California Corners cemetery.

Marjorie E. (Carr) Lyon

BEND, Ore. - Marjorie E. (Carr) Lyon, 90, of Bend, Ore. and formerly of Montpelier, Ohio, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007, at Bend, Ore.
Born July 9, 1917, at Athens, Mich., she married
L. Bruce Lyon of Montpelier, Ohio, and he preceded her in death in 1995, following a brief illness.
In 1939, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Mercy College of Nursing in Detroit, Mich., and her nursing career spanned 37 years. Following her retirement in 1976, she and her husband moved to Florida and in 1992 they moved to Bend.
Surviving are a daughter, Ann Delach; a granddaughter, Mariah, both of Bend; a sister, Frances of Coldwater, Mich. and a number of nieces and nephews.
