Marian Amelia Schultz

Marian Amelia Schultz, 94, of Wauseon, Ohio entered into eternal peace on May 13, 2015 in CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice. Marian was born October 27, 1920 in Toledo, Ohio to Amelia and Harry Reedy. She graduated from Thomas A. DeVilbiss High School in Toledo.
Marian was united in marriage to Lynn Russel Schultz on May 27, 1939. Together they raised 8 children who blessed them with 21 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren. She was anxiously awaiting the arrivals of three more great-great grandchildren. Her family was her greatest legacy.
Throughout her life, Marian was involved in Boy Scouts of America, singing in her church choir and active in the Fulton County Senior Program. Marian loved to play BINGO and spending time with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Evelyn Stickley, and special cousin Alice "Nana" Crossman. She leaves behind a sister, Evelyn Smith of Perrysburg, Ohio. Marian's children, Lynn (Patty), Gustine, CA, David (Connie), Swanton, Ohio, Karen (Larry) Welborn, Weatherford, TX, Nicole Anderson, Archbold, OH, Kenneth "Jeff" (Cathy), Maumee, OH Steven (Cindy), Mercedes, TX and Mark (Chris), Liberty Center, OH.
Graveside services and interment will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 18, 2015, in Wauseon Union cemetery, Wauseon, Ohio. A private viewing will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday in Edgar - Grisier Funeral Home, Wauseon for family and close friends.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center, 6817 State Route 66 N, Defiance, Ohio 43512 or the Fulton County Senior Center.

Dorothy Eileen Meller

Dorothy Eileen Meller, age 85, of Archbold, and formerly of Wauseon, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 17, 2015 at the Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon. Prior to her retirement she had worked at the Fulton County Welfare Department from 1962 – 1992.
Dorothy was born in Fulton County, Ohio on April 4, 1930, the daughter of Robert E. and Marjorie L. (Russell) Johnson. On November 12, 1950 she married
Robert G. Meller, and he preceded her in death on June 14, 2011. She was a member of St. John’s Christian Church in Archbold. Dorothy was a 1948 graduate of Fayette High School and then attended the International Business College in Ft. Wayne, IN, where she gained her Associates Degree in 1949.
Surviving is her daughter, Diane (Doug) Wilcox of Tecumseh, MI; son, Keith Meller of Laguna Niguel, CA; granddaughter, Michelle (Mark) Gallippo of Adrian, MI; great-grandchildren, Makayla, Ian and Kyle; step-grandchildren, Laurie Mahanna and Lisa Sharp; seven step-great-grandchildren and four step-great-great grandchildren.
Visitation for Dorothy will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the Edgar - Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon, where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday. Interment will follow in the Wauseon Union cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to St. John’s Christian Church.
Robert E. Albright
(Died May 16, 2015)
Robert E. Albright, age 60, of Wauseon, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Cleveland Clinic, following a brief illness. A retired Lieutenant with the Fulton County Sheriffs Office, he had served from 1973 until 2004. Currently he was the Chair of the Criminal Justice Department and the Peace Officer Training Academy at Owens Community College.
Robert was born in Toledo on April 17, 1955, the son of Jesse W. and Frances (Darling) Albright. On August 7, 1976 he married
Polly Shisler, and she survives. He was a member of the Wauseon American Legion Post 265 and the Swanton Elks Lodge 2462. Robert loved tinkering with things at home and love making things with his hands. He also enjoyed camping and riding his Harley - Davidson motorcycle, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Surviving besides his wife, Polly, is daughter, Tracy Albright of Wauseon, son, Alan (Beth) Albright of Wauseon; grandchildren Payton, Ella, and Kahle. He is also survived by his brother, Jesse (Arlene) Albright of Toledo, sister, Vicki (Robert) Stevens of Zephyr Hills, FL, three sisters - in - law, Suzanne (Steve) Magnatta, Barb Oswald, and Robin (Marty) Wymer, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother - in - law, JoMarlyn (Donal) White, and father - in - law, Richard (Pat) Shisler.
Visitation for Robert will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Crossroads Evangelical Church, where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 on Friday, with Pastor Tyler Quillet, officiating. Interment will follow in the Wauseon Union cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice. Dorine Smith
(Died May 11, 2015)
Dorine Elizabeth (Northrup) Smith went home to her Heavenly Father on May 11, 2015 while living at Fairlawn Nursing Care. Dorine was born into this world on December 10, 1926 to Esther (Rhoads) and Harold Northrup. She was the second of 7 siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James E. Smith; and 2 brothers, Lyle and Bill Northrup; and a grandson, Luke Gillam. As a young woman, Dorine accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. She was married
on Dec. 21, 1946 to James E. Smith. She and her husband became a Lord led team from the beginning of their marriage. They served faithfully in Midland Michigan church, while raising 6 children. They felt called into full time Christian camping ministry in 1969, serving at Camp Barakel in Fairview, MI and then at Miracle Camp in Lawton MI. as Directors for 8 years.
At the age of 52 Dorine and her husband took part in a short term mission project in the Dominican Republic (D.R.). On returning, they realized God wanted them to serve there on a full time basis so they attended language school in preparation for their next 20 years in ministry work in the D.R. After retirement Jim and Dorine settled in Clover, South Carolina. They became involved in the Filbert PCA church, where Dorine would interpret the church service for some of the Mexican workers in the area and would hold English classes for the workers at their home. After her husband’s death she moved to Pettisville, OH to be closer to family and became a member of the Crossroads Church in Wauseon. She served with the ladies aid, volunteered at nursing homes, worked at Care and Share and served on their board.
Wherever God sent them they touch many lives for the glory of God! Spanish was her second language and she spoke it fluently until her graduation from this world to heaven!
Dorine is survived by her children, Julie (Craig) Gearhart of Owosso, MI; Jeff (Rebecca) Smith of Zimbabwe Africa; Chip (Becky) Smith of Greenville, SC; Pete Smith of MI; Jill (Jim) Lugbill of Pettisville, OH; and Kurt (Julie) Smith of Durham, NC; 16 grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren. Dorine has donated her body to medical science at the University of Toledo. A celebration of her life will be for family and friends at Crossroads Chapel 845 E. Leggett Street, Wauseon on May 23 at 11:00am. The family suggests any memorials be given to Solid Rock International at PO Box 20867, Indianapolis, IN 46220 or at solidrockinternational.org.
Stefanie Mae Orguso
(Died May 11, 2015)
Stefanie Mae Orguso, age 95, of Stryker, passed away Monday, May 11, 2015 at Fountain Park, in Bryan.
Stefanie was born in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania on December 20, 1919, the daughter of Frank and Mary Pawleszski. She married
Charles S. Orguso, and he preceded her in death in 1984. Surviving are two sons, Fred Russell, Sr. of Stryker and Larry Russell of Omaha, Nebraska, one daughter, Lynn Cheslin of Gulf Port, Mississippi, nine grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation for Stefanie will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the Grisier Funeral Home in Stryker. The funeral will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, also in the funeral home, with Pastor Nick Woodall, officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakwood cemetery in Stryker. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Kenneth L. Showman

Kenneth L. Showman, 73, of Napoleon, Ohio died Friday March 2, 2012 at his residence.
He was born May 28, 1938 in Napoleon to the late Raymond and Edna (Gaede) Showman. On February 5, 1961 he married
Marlene (Sonnenberg) Showman at St. John Lutheran Church - Freedom Twp.
Ken owned and operated "Ken's Friendly Service" for 50 plus years. He loved his favorite hobby, "working" as an expert auto mechanic. He will always be remembered by his great smile and laughter which brought him many customers and friends that have remained a part of his happiness in life. He also loved spending time with his children and grandchildren supporting them in their lives and their many activities.
Ken is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marlene of Napoleon, and children, Denise and Duane Sholl, Dennis and Robin Showman, and Douglas and Karla Showman all of Napoleon, and his grandchildren, Ashley, Alyssa, Jared, Kyle, Zach and Derek, brothers, Robert Showman of Napoleon, Ron (Barb) Showman of Fremont, and sisters, Arlene (Lee) Miller of McClure, Marlene (George) Downey of Toledo, and Barb (Duane) Haselman of Deshler.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Ann Showman, and brothers and sisters, Burdette Showman, Larry Showman, and Carolyn Talmadge.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6 at St. John Lutheran Church Freedom Twp officiating Pastor Peter Marcis. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 2 - 8 p.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home in Napoleon, and on Tuesday 1 hour prior to services at the church.
The family suggests memorials to St. John Freedom Lutheran Church Building Fund, St. John's School Memorial Fund, or to a charity of the donors choice.
Marjorie A. "Marge" Murdock
(June 9, 1936 - May 5, 2015)
Marjorie A. “Marge” Murdock, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Aunt, age 78, of Napoleon passed away in peace at home surrounded by family on May 5, 2015. Marge was born on June 9, 1936 to Margaret N. (Watson) Cowdrick in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She lived in Napoleon and attended school there. She survived Non - Hodgkins Lymphoma Burkitts cancer in 2009 and for the last three months she bravely battled acute Myeloid leukemia.
She was preceeded in death by her mother Margaret Cowdrick, brother James Hart, and her best friend Jan Sworden. Surviving is her husband, Richard Murdock of Napoleon, son, Doug Murdock of Napoleon, daughters; Carole Murdock of Liberty Center and Linda Lee of Columbus, GA. Also surviving are three grandchildren; Victoria Wilson of Liberty Center, Deon Holloway of Napoleon and Tia Elkington of McClure and many nieces and nephews.

Eugene E. Rosebrook
November 14, 1916 - May 17, 2013
Eugene Ernest Rosebrook, 96, of Deshler, died Friday morning, May 17, 2013 at Oak Grove Healthcare Center, Deshler.
He was born November 14, 1916 in Richfield Township, Henry County, Ohio to the late William H. and Caroline (Hoops) Rosebrook. On September 8, 1940 he married
Wilhelmina Koehnke and they shared over 64 years together before she preceded him in death on November 2, 2004.
Eugene was a lifetime farmer and drainage contractor. He was a faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church, Deshler and its dartball league. He was a charter member of the Bavarian Club and maintained the wooden targets for the history of the Bavarian Schutzenfest. He always enjoyed polka music, dances and playing his accordion in the Rosebrook Band.
He is survived by daughter, Marlene (Wayne) Mohring; son, Donald (Bonnie) Rosebrook; daughter - in - law, Sue Rosebrook; 8 grandchildren, David (Michelle) Mohring; Christine (Mark) Bostelman; Jonathan (Anna) Mohring; Daniel (Misty) Rosebrook; Andrew Rosebrook; Kelly Rosebrook; Jennifer Rosebrook; Lauren Rosebrook and 10 great grandchildren, Joel; Olivia; Brittany; Nicholas; Nathan; Sonia; Ella; Tavius; Ashton and Isabel.
He was also preceded in death by sons, James and Stephen; grandson, Michael Rosebrook; 2 sisters, Doris Schwiebert and Laverne Badenhop; 3 brothers, William C. Rosebrook, Harold Rosebrook and Edward Rosebrook.
Services are 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Church, Deshler with Pastor Julie Parsell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 2 - 8 p.m., Monday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler and 10 - 11 a.m., Tuesday at church.

Roger N. Boyer
July 27, 1933 - May 20, 2013
Roger Neal Boyer, 79, of Deshler, Ohio died Monday morning, May 20, 2013 at Oak Grove Healthcare Center, Deshler.
He was born July 27, 1933 in Williams County, Ohio to the late Glen J. and Margaret (Prelipp) Boyer. On July 28, 1956 he married
Norma J. (Rush) Boyer at the former Deshler EUB Church and she preceded him in death on May 1, 2008.
Roger was a 1951 graduate of Deshler High School and served with the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He worked at the Campbell Soup Company, Napoleon, Ohio for over 37 years, retiring as a supervisor in 1994. He was a member of New Beginnings United Methodist Church, Deshler and the Deshler American Legion Post #316.
Roger was a coach for the Deshler Cornhuskers Softball team for several years; enjoyed bowling, fishing; and was a devoted Cleveland Indians fan. He always loved attending sporting events, especially when his grandchildren were playing.
He is survived by children, Charles "Bus" (Cheryl) Archer; Cathy (Tom) Croninger; Cindy (Frank) Baumbarger; Sherry (Dickie) McCance; Dennis Boyer; 13 grandchildren, Megan (Paul) Hemphill; Ashley (Ryan) Burns; Stacey (Mike) Graham; Kristi Baden; Sara (Matt) Wilhelm; Nichole Croninger; Matthew (Michelle) Baumbarger; Todd (Erin) Smith; Jennifer (Tim) Guelde; Clint Smith; Mike (Tara) Boyer; Christopher Boyer; Mariah Boyer; 16 great grandchildren; Farrah; Olivia; Mallery; McKenna; Emma; Tristan; Thomas; Grant; Jakob; Laila; Jaxson; Sophie; Macy; Addy; Baylee; Anna; and great great grandchild, Bentley.
He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Bradley Baumbarger.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler with Pastor Ruth Carter - Crist officiating. Graveside services with military honors will follow at Milton Township cemetery, Custar.
Visitation will be from 2 - 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
Loren D. Rood
March 4, 1961 - June 6, 2013
Loren Duane Rood, 52, of Custar, Ohio died Thursday evening, June 6, 2013 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio.
He was born March 4, 1961 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Arthur D. and Evelyn L. (Meinke) Rood.
Loren was a 1979 graduate of McComb High School. He was a journyman with the construction union and a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Deshler, Ohio.
Loren enjoyed bicycling and walking outdoors. He was always interested in astronomy and star gazing. He enjoyed computers and cooking in his spare time, especially chili, which his family enjoyed.
He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Rood; two sisters, Diann Ewing, Fort Wayne, Indiana; Barbara Rood, Palm City, Florida and three brothers, Carl Rood (Doris Meyer), Adamstown, Maryland; Patrick Rood, Fort Wayne, Indiana and Jason Rood, Custar, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler with Rev. Julie Parsell officiating. Graveside services will follow at Milton Township Cemtery, Custar.
Visitation will be from 1 - 3 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the family's wishes.
Lucy Louise Gerken
(Died March 26, 2015)
Lucy Louise Gerken, age 59, of Archbold, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Thursday, March 26, 2015. Prior to her retirement in 2005 she had worked for LaChoy Food Products in Archbold for 30 years.
Lucy was born in South Charleston, West Virginia on July 15, 1955, the daughter of Allen and Virginia (Hensley) Wileman. On December 14, 1985 she married
Roger Gerken, and he survives. Lucy enjoyed gardening and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Surviving is her husband, Roger; daughter, Andrea Pluto of Oak Harbor, OH; two sons, Jaycee (Buffy) Riley and Joe (Amber) Riley, both of Archbold. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and siblings, Allen “Bud” (Becky) Wileman, Jr. of St. Albans, WV, Lois “Sue” (Rick) Stancill of Robersonville, NC, Delbert Wileman of St. Albans, WV, Eleanor Stambaugh of St. Albans, WV, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Elsie Leggett and brother - in - law, Oscar Stambaugh.
Visitation for Lucy will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Monday, March 30, 2015 at the Grisier Funeral Home in Archbold. The funeral service will follow immediately after at 4:00 P.M., with the Rev. Alvia Martis, officiating. Interment will be private. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to family choice.
