Wilma Yohn
(1911 - 2007)
Wilma Yohn, 95, died peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, May 22, 2007. Born July 6, 1911 on a farm in Cass County, Mich., she married
Lewis Yohn on May 7, 1932, at a small Baptist church in Cassopolis, Mich., and he preceded her in death.
In 1919, she traveled with her family on a 600 mile trip in a covered wagon through the streets of Chicago to the upper peninsula. The family returned to the lower peninsula in 1923.
She attended a one room schoolhouse, Star Brick, through the eighth grade and went to Edwardsburg High School for two years, never receiving a high school diploma.
In 1929, she worked as a solderer for the Time Stat Company in Elkhart, Ind. In 1953, she worked as a switchboard operator in Bryan for the General Telephone Co. of Ohio. After 22 years of service, she retired as an operator service supervisor.
She was a member of the Bryan Lions Club and Faith U.M.C., Bryan.
Surviving are three children, Keith (and wife, Karlene) of Ann Arbor, Mich., Joan of Manning, S.C., and Dix (Karen) of Oregon; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held in Plum Grove cemetery Union, Mich., on July 6. Oberlin - Ford Funeral Home, Bryan, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bryan Lions Club, Bryan.
Marilyn Lee Horner
(Died March 17, 2015)
Marilyn Lee Horner, age 81, of Wauseon, passed away Tuesday morning, March 17, 2015, in her home. Prior to her retirement she had worked as a Common Pleas Court Reporter at Fulton and Williams Counties, for 40 years.
Marilyn was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 3, 1933, the daughter of Charles U. and Isabelle (Gorsuch) Richards. On April 26, 1951 she married
Richard Dean Horner, and he survives.
Marilyn was an avid animal lover and loved bowling. She was also a sports fanatic, especially for the Cleveland Browns, Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Indians.
She is survived by her husband, Richard, of Wauseon; daughter, Betty (Steve) Cramer of Wauseon; granddaughter, Melissa (Steve) Chase of Adrian, MI; and two great-grandchildren, Marcus Asbury and Collin Chase. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
Funeral services will be private. Interment will be in the Wauseon Union cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society or the charity of the donor’s choice. Edgar - Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with arrangements.
Elaine Marie Wann
(1951 - 2007)
ANGOLA, Ind. - Elaine Marie Wann, 55, died Thursday, May 24, 2007, at Cameron Memorial Hospital.
Born June 17, 1951, at Wauseon, Ohio, to Joyce (Oliverson) and Charles Thompson, she married
Andrew Wann on June 16, 1990, and he survives.
She was employed at the former Dekalb Healthcare Center as the activities director.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her mother, Joyce Thompson of Hicksville, Ohio; a daughter, Bonita Brodock of Bryan, Ohio; two sons, Flint (and wife, Patricia) Miller of Hicksville and Sam Seevers of St. Louis, Mich.; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Todd (Beverly) Jones of Columbia, Tenn.; and two brothers, Timothy (Deb) Thompson Sr. and Wayne Thompson, both of Hicksville.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation will be Saturday from 2 - 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 - 2 p.m. in the Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at Scipio cemetery, Harlan.
Memorials may be made to Cameron Home Health Care and Hospice.
Jeffery Scott Kurtz

EDON - Jeffery Scott Kurtz, 49, of Edon, died Tuesday afternoon, May 22, 2007, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Bryan, where he was a patient for five days. Born Aug. 14, 1957, at Hillsdale, Mich., he was the son of Phyllis Jean (Martinez) and Carleton Wesley "Whistle" Kurtz.
Surviving are his mother, Phyllis Kurtz of Jackson, Mich.; a son, Jeffery Scott Kurtz II, and two grandchildren, Alexis Jo and Brady, all of Lima; his brothers and sisters, Mrs. Waylon (Jean) Archer of Texarkana, Ark., Sue Johnston of Laughlen, Nev., Carleton (and wife, Arlene) Kurtz Jr. of Camden, Mich., Charles Kurtz of Camden, Mich., Mrs. Jack (Dawn) Dean and Sam Nickells of Edon, Mrs. John (Deb) Mathis of Spencer, Ind., Dennis (Cindy) Kurtz of Edgerton, and Mrs. Jim (Claudia) Richards of Jackson, Mich.; 22 nephews and nieces; and a special friend, "Fry" of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1975; a brother, David Kurtz in 1981; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon.
Services will be Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Eric Dailey to officiate. Interment will be in Camden, Mich.
Memorials may be made to the Edon Summer Ball Program.
Neil A. Bonecutter Jr.

EDGERTON - Neil A. Bonecutter Jr., 22, of Edgerton, died early Wednesday morning, May 23, 2007, shortly after admittance to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers - Bryan.
Born Feb. 10, 1985, at Hicksville, he was the son of Joanna R. (Albertson) and Neil A. Bonecutter Sr.
A 2004 graduate of Edgerton High School, he was employed as an inspector at the PDC Company in Auburn, Ind.
Surviving are his parents, Joanna and Neil Bonecutter Sr. of Edgerton; sisters, Mrs. Bernie (Tonya) Harvey and Tricia Bonecutter, both of Edgerton; a cousin who was raised by his family, Elizabeth Albertson - Dohm of Edgerton; nephews and nieces, Austin W. Harvey, Brant Dohm and Skylar Dohm, all of Edgerton; his maternal grandmother, Joyce Albertson of Edgerton; paternal grandparents, Clare and Joan Bonecutter of Butler, Ind.; and numerous aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bill Albertson.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 - 9 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in Life Changing Realities Church in Edgerton with Pastor Byron Adams to officiate. Interment will follow in Maple Grove cemetery in Edgerton.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.
John Dale 'Blue Eyes' Klinger
(1928 - 2007)
LEAVENWORTH, Kansas - Funeral services for John Dale "Blue Eyes" Klinger, 79, formerly of Bryan, who died Tuesday, May 9, 2007, at Medicalodge of Leavenworth, were held Friday, May 11, at the Davis Funeral Chapel, with burial in the Leavenworth National cemetery with military honors.
A Bryan High School graduate, he served as a sergeant first class in the U.S. Army.
He had worked for Hayes - Albion Corporation in Bryan for 42 years and was a life member of the Eagles and a member of First Christian Church in Leavenworth.
Surviving are his wife, Ida (Goracke) Klinger of Leavenworth; three daughters, Karen Rios, Mrs. Rick (Penny) Cooper and Karol Jesse, all of Bryan; two sons, Hal and David Klinger, both of Bryan, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Ed (Sandy) Doolin - Helm of Lansing; five grandchildren, all of Ohio except one of Arizona; two grandsons, Shane Doolin and Shawn Doolin of Lansing; 18 great-grandchildren of Ohio and Arizona; three great-grandchildren, Isaac Doolin and Alexa Doolin of Lansing and Madison Doolin of Kansas City; and two sisters - in - law.
Memorials may be made to the Heritage Center.
Rosemary T. Snyder
(1919 - 2007)
HICKSVILLE - Rosemary T. Snyder, 87, died Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at Park View Nursing Center, Edgerton.
Born June 26, 1919, at Napoleon, to Marie (Fisher) and Joseph Schuller, she married
Rex J. Snyder on Sept. 4, 1937, and he preceded her in death.
She had worked at Brown Funeral Home in Hicksville as telephone operator on weekends and holidays and also at the Belmont 5 & 10 in Edgerton.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Edgerton and St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hicksville.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Bill (Mary M.) Welly of Hicksville and Mrs. Robert (Sharon) Sweet of Hicksville; two sons, the Rev. Larry D. (and wife, Beth) Snyder of Oak Harbor and Charles J. (Shirley) Snyder of Decatur, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Josephine Jensen of Auburn, Ind. and Rita Loomis of Branford, Conn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant grandson and two sisters.
Visitation will be Friday from 2 - 5 and 6 - 8 p.m. with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. in the Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville.
Funeral mass will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hicksville, with Father Thomas Oedy to officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary's - Maple Grove cemetery, Edgerton.
Memorials may be made to the Park View Nursing Center van fund.
Theodore E. 'Ted' Lovejoy
(1937 - 2007)
ARCHBOLD - Theodore E. "Ted" Lovejoy, 69, of Archbold, died early Tuesday morning, May 22, 2007, at his residence.
Born Oct. 9, 1937, to Carrie (Fether) and Earl Lovejoy, he married
Verlene Buehrer on Jan. 10, 1976, and she survives.
Prior to his retirement in 1992, he had served as superintendent for the waste water treatment plant for the village of Archbold for 25 years. He had also worked as a barber. In 1989, he became a licensed lay minister. After retirement, he had worked at Sauder Village in Archbold where he was both a cooper and a broom maker.
He was a member of St. John's Christian Church in Archbold and he was also a member of the Fulton County Horseshoe Club, the Free & Accepted Masons Superior Lodge No. 179 of West Unity, the Defiance Program Group of U.C.C. Ministers, the NARFE and numerous committees of the U.C.C.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, Paul (and wife, Joan) Lovejoy of Archbold, and a sister - in - law, Marilyn Lovejoy of Lima.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and William Lovejoy.
Visitation will be today from 2 - 9 p.m. in the Grisier Funeral Home, Archbold.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. John's Christian Church in Archbold with Pastors Erich Christman, David Bowman, Adam Just and Dan Busch to officiate. Interment will follow in the Archbold cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the family's choice.
James L. Gleason
(1919 - 2007)
James L. Gleason, 87, of Bryan and formerly of Clear Lake, Ind. and Archbold, died Monday, May 21, 2007, at his residence.
Born July 24, 1919, at Williams Center, to Edith (Scott) and George Gleason, he was married
to Geraldine Grace Lichty for 49 years and she preceded him death in 1992.
A 1937 graduate of Bryan High School, he had served in the military during World War II aboard a submarine chaser in the North Atlantic and Pacific theaters.
He retired from La Choy Foods in 1982 after working 36 years in various departments. At retirement he was the director of quality control for La Choy. For over two decades he traveled extensively throughout China, Taiwan, Thailand and Hong Kong assisting La Choy in finding new markets for the purchase and canning of Asian vegetables.
Surviving are his companion, Mary Ann Stevenson; two sons, James (and wife, Dawn) of Columbus and John "Scott" (Karrie) of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; two daughters, Mrs. Scott (Jane) Kutzley of Worthington and Mrs. Richard (Nancy) Nesline of Worthington; and seven grandchildren, Alicia Nesline of Worthington, Meredith Nesline of Los Angeles, Calif., Carolyn Nesline of Worthington, Rachel Kutzley of Worthington, Brian Kutzley of Bowling Green, John S. Gleason Jr. of Denver, Colo. and Adam J. Gleason of Fort Collins, Colo.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard of Chicago, Ill. and William "Ted" Gleason of Frost Proof, Fla.
Private funeral services will be held at a later date. The Oberlin - Ford Funeral Home, Bryan, has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Joseph Scott Montgomery
(1962 - 2007)
HUDSON, Ind. - Joseph Scott Montgomery, 44, of Hudson and formerly of Edon, Ohio, died Sunday, May 20, 2007, at Cameron Memorial Community Hospital, Angola.
Born Dec. 15, 1962, at Angola, he was the son of Marilyn (Wells) and Jack Montgomery.
A semi truck owner/operator, he had attended Edon - Northwest Local Schools and had served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He had also worked for the Little River Railroad at Pleasant Lake.
Surviving are a daughter, Elizabeth Montgomery of Hudson; a son, Jacob Montgomery of Hudson; his mother, Marilyn Montgomery of Fremont; father, Jack Montgomery of Florida; a brother, Roger Montgomery of Camden, Mich.; a half brother, Doug Montgomery of Fort Wayne; two nieces, Angie Ireland of Fremont and Danielle Montgomery of Camden; and three nephews, Chris Montgomery of Ekalaka, Mont., Levi Montgomery of Camden and Tyler Montgomery of Fort Wayne.
Memorial services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, with the Rev. Wayne Berkesch to officiate. There will be no visitation. Burial will be at a later date.

Bud E. Wallace
(1922 - 2007)
Bud E. Wallace, 85, of Bryan, died Sunday, May 20, 2007, at Harborside Healthcare Northwestern Ohio - Bryan, where he was a resident.
Born April 14, 1922, at Kiahsville, W. Va., to Nancy Elizabeth (Gilkerson) and John Henry Wallace, he married
Betty J. Seevers on Nov. 15, 1963, at Edgerton, and she preceded him in death on Oct. 29, 1999.
An Army veteran of World War II, during which he served as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne in the European Theater, he had received the Purple Heart.
He was a material handler at Vistron, retiring with 10 years of service. Surviving are a son, David (Peggy Myers) Wallace of Bryan; four sisters, Nora Belle Skidmore of Sutton, W. Va., Bertha Wallace of Fayetteville, W. Va., Frieda Polter of West Unity and Barbara Drake of Frametown, W. Va.; a brother, Thomas Wallace of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Ada Johnson, Victoria Adkins and Dorothy Ramey; and two brothers, Ernie and Millard Wallace.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton.
Graveside services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Maple Grove cemetery with Pastor Dee Custer to officiate. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2489 of Bryan.
