Judith Geiger

Judith A. Geiger Judith A. Geiger, 63, of Bryan, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers - Bryan, following an extended illness.
Born Feb. 22, 1944, at Bryan, she was the daughter of Betty Jean (Strouse) and Henry Moog. She had worked as a nurses' aide at Park View Nursing Center in Edgerton for 11 years. Surviving are a son, Kevin (and wife, Jodi) Schelling of Bryan; a daughter, Kim (and husband, Jeff) Rehklau of Waldron, Mich.; four grandchildren, Matthew, Andre, Mercedes and Brogan; a brother, Tracy (Connie) Moog of Williams Center; a sister, Karen (Robert) Robison of Camden, Mich.; three half brothers, including Dale (Deb) DeVlaminck of Edgerton and Dave Moog; two half sisters, Deb (Richard) Martin of Reading, Mich., and Tamy Gressett of Butler, Ind.; numerous nieces and nephews; a stepbrother, Mike Karnes; and three stepsisters, Marsha Klear of Bryan, Deb Fivecoate of Montpelier and Deanna Tillman of Camden, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1 - 3 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton. Private interment will follow in Maple Grove cemetery, Edgerton, with Pastor Steve Wilmot to officiate.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
Mildred F. Fox
(1913 - 2007)
Mildred F. Fox, 94, of Bryan, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, at Fountain Park Inn and Villas, Bryan.
Born April 13, 1913, at Mendon, to Minnie (Johnson) and Milton O. Krugh, she married
Reed Fox on Nov. 12, 1936, at Celina, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 1998.
Early in her career, she was employed as a secretary with the Mercer County Superintendent of Schools. Following her marriage, she was a full - time homemaker.
A well - known bridge player in the Bryan area, she was formerly a member of the Orchard Hills Country Club and a volunteer for the Williams County Public Library. She was a member of First Church of Christ, Bryan.
Surviving are two sons, Duane (and wife, Marlene) Fox of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Richard (M. Dee) Fox of Florida; four grandchildren, Julie Fox of Fort Wayne, Ind., Jon (Sue) Fox of Dayton, Rich (Denise) Fox of Westfield, Ind. and Douglas (Kimberly) Fox of Huntsville, Ala.; four great-grandchildren, Andrew, Lindra, Ryan and Spencer Fox.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, William Lawrence Krugh; and five sisters, Hazel Mogg, Lucille Fisher, Josephine Goodwin, Rhea Krugh and Jessie Hill. Visitation will be Saturday from 1 - 3 p.m. in the Oberlin - Ford Funeral Home - Bryan.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Larry Snavely to officiate. Burial will follow in Shiffler cemetery, Pulaski.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Church of Christ, Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers - Hospice Care, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
Homer L. Anderson
(1932 - 2007)
WEST UNITY - Homer L. Anderson, 75, West Unity, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007, at the Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers - Bryan.
Born June 30, 1932, at Letart, W. Va., to Edna (Pickens) and Curtis Anderson, he married
Madge Louise Spears on Oct. 7, 1955, and she survives.
After attending New Haven High School in New Haven, W. Va., he became employed with the Anderson Construction Company in Charleston, W. Va.. He had also been a mail carrier and a farmer. He finished his employment with Fulton Industries in Wauseon. He was a Christian.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Michael Lee Anderson of West Unity; two grandsons, James (and wife, Michelle) Anderson of Hopkins, Minn., and Ryan (Cory) Anderson of Maumee; three great-grandsons, Vincent, Chandler and Ian Anderson of Hopkins; and five sisters, Billie June, Ellen Irene, Velma, Ruth and Edith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Timothy Anderson; and a brother, Andy Anderson. Memorial services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Montpelier, with Pastor Bruce Tumblin to officiate. Hollingshead - Beck Funeral Home of West Unity is in charge of arrangements.

Wayne D. Simmons
(1914 - 2007)
WEST UNITY - Wayne D. Simmons, 92, of West Unity and formerly of Hillsdale, Mich., died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007, at Harborside Healthcare Northwestern Ohio - Bryan.
Born Sept. 28, 1914, at Kalamazoo, Mich., to Hazel (Mitchell) and Willard Simmons, he married
Irene "Corky" Motsinger and she preceded him in death in 1985. He later married
Christine Horton and she survives.
A carpenter and former owner of a convenience store in Bankers, Mich., he was a sales representative with Gametime in Litchfield. He had been a resident of West Unity since 1992 and prior to that a resident of Hillsdale for 43 years.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hillsdale and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, George Simmons. Visitation will be Friday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. in the VanHorn - Eagle Funeral Home, Hillsdale.
A graveside funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Maple Grove cemetery, Kalamazoo, Mich., with the Rev. Patti Beckman to officiate.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, the Presbyterian Layman or the church.
Timothy D. Franks
(1961 - 2007)
NAPOLEON - Timothy D. Franks, 46, of Napoleon, died Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at his home.
Born June 26, 1961, at Montpelier, he was the son of June B. (Chapman) and Richard E. Franks. Surviving are a sister, Patricia (and husband, Alren Dean) Rose of Wauseon; four brothers, Richard (and wife, Brenda) Franks of Columbia, Tenn., Floyd (Brenda) Franks of Wauseon, Charles (Linda) Franks of Fayette, and twin brother, Thomas (Marcia) Franks of Fayette; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Barbara Franks; and a niece, Kendra Rose. Memorial services were held Friday, June 29, in the Eagle Funeral Home, Fayette. Interment was in Pleasant View Union cemetery, Fayette.

Phillis A. Knecht
(1932 - 2007)
MONTPELIER - Phillis A. Knecht, 75, of Montpelier, died today, Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at Hillside Country Living, Bryan.
Born April 5, 1932, at Montpelier, to Mary (Dunn) and Omer Gale Poorman, she married
James D. Knecht on July 1, 1950, at Angola, Ind., and he preceded her in death in May 1964.
She retired from Mohawk Tool in Montpelier in 1992 as a cutter grinder and was a member of the Montpelier Eagles Auxiliary.
Surviving are four daughters, Rose (and husband, William) Stuckey of West Unity, Laronda (Charles) Wyse of Wauseon, Karla (Ronald) Carico of Ridgeville Corners and Connie (Jeffery) Pease of Blakeslee; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Norma Wells and Donna Baker; and a brother, Lewis Poorman.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. in the Thompson Funeral Home, Montpelier. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Don Harris to officiate. Interment will be at Riverside cemetery, Montpelier.

Laura Jean Jellison
(April 28, 1950 - March 29, 2015)
Laura Jean Jellison, age 64, of Wauseon died unexpectedly Sunday March 29, 2015 in her home. Prior to her retirement she had worked for the former Sheller - Globe Corporation and had also worked as an LPN for Community Health Professionals Hospice.
Ms. Jellison was born on April 28, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Robert Eugene and Jean Marie (Keister) Jellison. She enjoyed going to Shipshewana, the Findlay Balloon Fest and hosting barbecues.
Surviving is her mother, Jean Marie Frye of Wauseon, brother; Jerry Jellison of the Michigan Upper Peninsula, sisters; Deb Otermat and Kathi Joseph both of Findlay, Tami Coleman Jean Stratton and Bobbi Jo Adkins all of Pikeville, KY, and Jackie Jenkins of Bowling Green, KY. Also surviving are many cousins, nieces, nephews and very special helpful friends; Harry Pfab, Diana York and Community Health Professionals Hospice nurse, Janetta Dilyard. Preceding her in death besides her father were infant twin sisters; Debra and Diane Jellison.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Friday April 3, 2015 at the Edgar - Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon with Pastor Donna Stutzman officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion cemetery. Friends may call at the Edgar - Grisier Funeral Home from 4:00 - 8:00pm on Thursday. The family requests that memorial contributions be made either to Community Health Professionals Hospice or the charity of the Family's choice.
Cleo L. Lutz

Cleo Lavon Lutz, 94, of Bryan and formerly of West Unity, died Monday, July 2, 2007, at Hillside Country Living - Assisted Living in Bryan.
Born Nov. 20, 1912, at West Unity, to Minnie (Cook) and John J. Lutz, he married
Naomi I. (Esterline) Lutz and she preceded him in death on Jan. 14, 2005.
He was a farmer, carpenter and school bus driver for Kunkle Schools.
A Protestant, he was a member of the Brady Grange and the Alvordton VFD.
Surviving are two daughters, Cleona (and husband, William) Spangler of Evansport and Carol (Ronald) Armbruster of Tiffin; a granddaughter, Robin (John) Curtin of Tiffin; three grandsons, Dennis (and wife, Christine) Spangler of Bryan, Greg (Laurie) Armbruster of Fremont and Brian (Denise) Armbruster of Tiffin; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ida Walkup of California.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Verian Lutz; a sister, Bessie Gibbs; and his stepfather, "Doc" Mundweiler.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. in the Hollingshead - Beck Funeral Home, West Unity. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Diane Schaffner to officiate. Burial will be in the Floral Grove cemetery, West Unity.

Elizabeth A. Fraker
ARCHBOLD - Elizabeth A. Fraker, 86, of Archbold, died early Monday morning, July 2, 2007, at the Fulton County Health Center, Wauseon.
She was the widow of Richard Fraker Sr.

EDGERTON - Noah Andrew Fry, son of Jason L. and Amie J. (Harvey) Fry of Edgerton, was stillborn Friday, June 29, 2007, at Community Memorial Hospital, Hicksville.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Isaiah at home; maternal grandparents, Hal and Peggy Harvey of Bryan; paternal grandparents, Kym and Jim Kurtz of Edgerton and Anthony and Deborah Fry of Toledo; maternal great-grandparents, Hal and Martha Harvey of Jonesboro, Ind., Monroe McGuire of Bryan and Eula McGuire of Bryan; paternal great-grandparents, Roy and Peggy Fry of Swanton and William and Cleora Spangler of Evansport; paternal great-great-grandmother, Vera Everetts; and two aunts and one uncle.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton.
Services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Father Stephen Schroeder to officiate. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic cemetery in Blakeslee.

Roger Lee Brown

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Roger Lee Brown, 71, of Tallahassee and formerly of Farmer and Bryan, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at his home.
Born March 26, 1936, at Farmer, Ohio, he was the son of Hazel (Parcher) and Alvin Brown.
A graduate of Farmer High School and a U.S. Army veteran, he had been stationed in Germany. He was a machinist in the automotive industry with ITT Higbee, retiring in 1997. After retirement, he moved to Tallahassee.
He was a Catholic.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Nellie (Leskow) Brown of Tallahassee; two sons, Devin and Douglas Brown, both of Tallahassee; two daughters, Kristina (and husband, Justin) Lashaway of Greenfield, Ind., and Teri (Keith) Jermeay of West Unity, Ohio; a grandson, Kreig Lashaway of Greenfield, Ind.; four granddaughters, Alana Lashaway of Tallahassee, Kayli Jermeay, Autumn Jermeay and Holly Jermeay, all of West Unity; two brothers, Richard (and wife, Bobbi) Brown of Tavares and Norman (Carol) Brown of Sherwood, Ohio; and two sisters, Pat (William) Miller of Hicksville, Ohio, and Wanda (Ralph) Reich of Grand Island.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Eugene and Kenneth Brown; and two sisters, Margaret Torch and Beatrice Carwile.
Visitation will be today from 2 - 8 p.m. in the Hollingshead - Beck Funeral Home, West Unity. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. John Wommer to officiate. Burial with military rites by the American Legion Post No. 669 of West Unity will be in the Shiffler cemetery, rural Bryan.
