Dennis L. Shaffer, 75, of Middlefield, entered eternal rest Thursday morning, February 28th, 2013 at Briar Hill Health Care. He was born April 21st, 1937 to the late Russell and Ruby Shaffer. Dennis married
Beverly Dayton on February 20th, 1954. He enjoyed fishing, yard work, over the road truck driving, decorating for Christmas especially his village, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He will be missed by: his loving wife of 59 years; children, Deborah (Gary) Sakmar, Cynthia (Daniel) Liska, Timothy (Mary) Shaffer, Laura (Glen) Latimer; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 brother; 3 sisters; and many friends. He is preceded in death by 1 brother.
A CELEBRATION OF LIFE WILL BE HELD AT 2 P.M., SUNDAY MARCH 3RD, 2013 AT BEST FUNERAL HOME, 15809 MADISON RD., MIDDLEFIELD. Family and friends will be received from 4-7 P.M. on Saturday, March 2nd at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held in Auburn cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Dennis' name to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., 44110.
Martha D. (Shrock) Miller
May 11, 1954 - February 28, 2013
Martha D. Miller (nee Shrock), 58, of Parkman, entered eternal rest Thursday morning, February 28th, 2013 at home surrounded by her family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 11th, 1954 to Daniel M. and Emma J. Shrock. Martha married
Crist J. Miller on September 26th, 1974. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Martha enjoyed making crafts, being a homemaker, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She will be missed by: her loving husband; children; Mary Ellen Mullet, John (Susan) Miller, Amanda (Raymond) Miller, Paul (Ida Mae) Miller, Emma (Ervin) Kauffman, Martha Miller, Ruth Ann Miller, Catherine Miller, Sarah Miller; 20 Grandchildren; 1 brother; 9 sisters; and
many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Martha is preceded in death by: her father, and son-in-law, David J. Mullet.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:30 A.M., SUNDAY, MARCH 3, 2013 AT 16101 SHEDD RD, PARKMAN, OH with Bishop Jake Gingerich officiating. Martha's final resting place will be in Yoder cemetery in Parkman, OH. Visitation will be anytime until the time of service.
Emma Mae (Meyer) Jackam
April 8, 1927 - February 27, 2013
Emma Mae Jackam (nee Meyer), 85, of Middlefield, entered eternal rest Wednesday evening, February 27th, 2013 at home surrounded by her family. She was born April 8th, 1927 to the late Adolf and Eva Meyer. She is now reunited with her loving husband of 61 years, Paul Jackam Sr. Emma was a lifelong resident of northeast Ohio. She enjoyed bowling, card stamping, crocheting, bingo, knitting, and being an avid supporter of her grandchildren's sporting activities.
She will be missed by: her loving children; Paul (Janis) Jackam Jr., Greg (Linda) Jackam, Janice (Gary) Shipman; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; childhood friend, June Turner; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Emma is preceded by: her husband and 4 sisters.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 11:00 A.M., MONDAY, MARCH 4TH, 2013 AT PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 12686 BASS LAKE RD, CHARDON, OH with Pastor Curtis A. May officiating. Emma's final resting place will be in Slitor cemetery in Burton Twp, OH. Family and friends will be received Monday morning at the church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service.

William E. Mullet on October 8th, 1964. She enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her family. Emma was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She will be missed by: her loving husband; children, William Mullet Jr., Esther Ann (Melvin) Yoder, Martin (Betsy) Mullet, Linda Mullet, Sarah (Harvey Jr.) Weaver; 15 grandchildren; 3 brothers; 4 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jackie E. Corella, 84, of Newbury, entered eternal rest Tuesday, February 12th, 2013 at Heather Hill Care Community. She was born October 2nd 1928 in Italy to the late Giacomo and Maria Corella.
Jackie is survived by: two children, John and Marie. She is preceded in death by 6 siblings.

John J. Miller, 92, of Burton, entered eternal rest Monday evening, February 5th, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving children and friends. He was born June 25th, 1920 to the late Joe J. and Sara (Burkholder) Miller. John is now again reunited with his loving wife, Ada. He was a lifelong resident of the Middlefield area and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. John worked many years as a harness maker.
He will be missed by: his children, Albert A. (Mary Ann) Miller, Joe J.S. (Sara) Miller, Clara E. (Crist) Hershberger, John J. Jr. (Esther) Miller, Perry J. (Lydia) Miller: daughter-in-law, Saloma Byler; 2 brothers; 3 sisters; 51 grandchildren; 262 great-grandchildren; 136 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. William E. Detweiler on December 29th, 1942. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Aden Ray Yoder on June 22nd, 2000. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She will be missed by: her loving husband; daughter, Marcia Yoder; parents; siblings, Lester (Rosa) Yoder, Homer Jr (Kathryn) Yoder, Laura (Robbie) Mast, Paul (Regina) Yoder, Wayne Yoder, Willy Yoder, Matthew Yoder; maternal grandparents, Lester and Sara Hostetler; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. John H. Roberts Jr.

John H. Roberts Jr., 83, of Chesterland, entered eternal rest peacefully Wednesday afternoon, January 16th, 2013 at Briar Hill Health Care Residence in Middlefield. He was born December 30th, 1929 to the late John H. and Mary (Peck) Roberts.
He was the owner of Roberts Fruit Farm in Chesterland for most of his life. John was well known to many for providing custom cider pressing. He attended Pilgrim Mennonite Church in Middlefield and enjoyed driving around visiting his Amish friends.
John will be missed by: his sister, Mary Alice Taylor; nephews, James and David; nieces, Joy Ann and Sandy; and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lillian Roberts.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 10:30 A.M., SUNDAY, JANUARY 20TH, 2013 AT PILGRIM MENNONITE CHURCH, 16078 OLD STATE RD, MIDDLEFIELD, OH. John's final resting place will be in the church cemetery.
