EILEEN M. "SIS" (ROBERTS) MILLER, 91, formerly of Rose Lane, Martins Ferry, OH passed away Monday, September 5, 2011.
She was born in Martins Ferry on January 18, 1920, the daughter of the late Harry F. and Halley I. (Cecil) Roberts
She was a member of First Christian Church of Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, John M. Miller; one brother, H.E. "Jack" Roberts; Infant twin grand-daughters.
She is survived by sons, H. Jay "Butch" (Lis) Miller, Jan Miller (Carmen Prati-Miller), all of Martins Ferry; granddaughters: Missi Hamilton, Portland, OR; Shayne (John) Bauer, Columbus, OH; Brady (Matt) Prutch, Phoenix, AZ; Casey (Ken) Golovko, Tustin, CA; great-grandsons, Jacob Dickman and Miller Golovko; great-granddaughter, Julia Dickman.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home Friday, September 9, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Terry Erwin, officiating.

MONSIGNOR DAVID E. REASBECK, a retired priest and a member of the presbyterate of the Diocese of Steubenville, died at Park Health Nursing Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday, October 6, 2011. He was 82 years old.
The body will be waked at Keller Funeral Home, 615 Hanover Street, Martins Ferry, OH on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m. Then Msgr. Reasbeck will lie in state at St. Mary Church, 20 North Fourth Street, Martins Ferry on Monday from 2-6 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy with Mass was celebrated on Tuesday at St. Mary's Church, Martins Ferry at noon with Monsignor Kurt H. Kemo, Diocesan Administrator as celebrant and Monsignor George R. Coyne as homilist.
Msgr. Reasbeck was born on Sunday, June 16, 1929 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a son of the late Clarence and Isabell (Baker) Reasbeck.
He attended St. Gregory and Mount St. Mary Seminaries in Cincinnati and St. Francis Seminary in Loretto, Pa. He was ordained by Bishop John King Mussio on May 26, 1956 at Holy Name Cathedral, Steubenville.
Msgr. Reasbeckás first assignment was as an assistant at St. Joseph Church and instructor at St. Joseph High School, lronton. He also had assignments at St. Peter, Steubenville, Holy Family, Steubenville, St. Stanislaus, Steubenville, Blessed Sacrament, Winters ville, and St. Matthias, Freeport. He served as Pastor of Saints Peter and Paul, Lore City, and St. Frances Cabrini, Colerain from which he retired on June 1, 2007.
He taught and/or served in administration at the Catholic high schools at St. Joseph, Ironton, Catholic Central, Steubenville, Seton Central, Lafferty, and Guernsey Catholic Central, Cambridge. He served over the years on various diocesan commissions, including the Silver Jubilee Committee, Diocesan Consultor, Assistant Master of Ceremonies, Diocesan Liturgical Commission, Art and Environment Committee, and the Diocesan Building Commission. He served as Dean of Presentation Deanery and was chaplain to the Knights of Columbus councils in Cambridge and Martins Ferry, as well as the Father Prior to the Columbian Squires in Ironton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Lucille Harris, Ang Marling, Stella Ashton and Ginny Werner; brother, Russell Reasbeck.
He is survived by two sisters, Sister David Claire Reasbeck, Louisville, Ky. and Doris J. Burger, Martins Ferry, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews survive him.

ELIZABETH M. "BETTY' MATYSIAK, 87, of Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Sunday, October 30, 2011.
She was born in Wheeling, WV on October 30, 1924, the daughter of the late Walter and Kathryn (Blok) Minder.
She was a retired employee for the former C & P Telephone Co. of Wheeling. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Polish National Alliance Lodge # 1220, both of Martins Ferry and also the Wheeling High School Alumni Association..
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Frank "Scotty" Matysiak; sister, Margaret (Peggy) Davis; brother, Jim Minder.
She is survived by two sons, John and his wife, Roxanne Matysiak, Steubenville, Ohio and James Matysiak, Martins Ferry; daughter, Carol Grady, Sewickley, Pa.; grandson, Karl Matysiak, Steubenville, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and a special friend and caregiver, Darla Clark.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass was celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2011 with Rev. Tom Marut as the celebrant.
Mausoleum entombment followed in St. Mary's cemetery, Martins Ferry.
MARY E. KELLER, 75, of Concord Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Saturday, December 10, 2011, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.
She was born in Wheeling, WV on October 30, 1936, a daughter of the late Joseph and Clara B. (Freeze) Renshaw.
She was a retired teacher's aide for Belmont Co. Head Start, Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Keller.
She is survived by son, John J. (Kimberly) Keller, Piedmont, OH; daughter, Ellen M. (Todd) Blake, Martins Ferry; daughter, Christine L. (Ronald) Angerer, Massillon, OH; daughter, Becky A. (Chris) Jenkins, Dublin, OH; daughter, Katherine R. (Vince) West, Martins Ferry; daughter, Sandy L. Keller, Martins Ferry; son, Joseph A. (Jessica) Keller, Martins Ferry; sister, Olive Groskopf, Wheeling, WV; brother, Joseph Renshaw, North Carolina. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tom Marut officiating.
Interment followed at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.

MARGARET A. BLOTZER, 93, of Hughes Ave., Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011.
She was born in Corning, Ohio on July 11, 1918, the daughter of the late Andy and Julia (Sipos) Almashy.
She was a retired secretary at the former Valley Machine of Martins Ferry and Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She was a member of the1st Presbyterian Church of Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry A. Blotzer; four brothers, Andrew, James, John and William Almashy; sister, Elizabeth Ruble; niece, Karen Lewis and a nephew, Bruce Ruble.
Margared is survived by two nephews, Brian Almashy, Las Vegas, Nev. and William Almashy, Dayton, Oh.; two nieces, Nancy Verplank, DeMotte, Ind. and Carol Almashy, Chicago, Ill.; great nephew, Chad (Tonya) Ruble, Martins Ferry; great-great nephew, Maddox Ruble; two great-great nieces, Brooklynn and Sunnie Ruble.
Graveside service was held at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
ELLEN LOUISE CHAMBERS, 87, of Center Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio died Wednesday, January 4, 2012 in East Ohio Regional Hospital.
She was born in Shadyside, Ohio on Tuesday, March 25, 1924, the daughter of the late Herman and Fannie Hall.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Loyal Daughters Bible Class of Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Karl H. "Bud" Chambers; son, Jeffrey K. Chambers, grandson, Craig L. Chambers.
Louise is survived by son, Craig (Linda) Chambers, San Francisco, CA; granddaughter Traci Vasquez; grandson, Shane Chambers; great grandson Jake; two great-granddaughters, Clarissa and Jasmin.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Noon with Rod Kasler officiating.
Interment followed at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
HENRY O. WHITECOTTON, JR., "HANK", 83, of Emerson Road, Pleasant Grove, OH, died Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at East Ohio Regional Hospital. Martins Ferry, OH.
He was born in Wheeling, WV on Tuesday, December 18, 1928, son of the late Henry O. and Bessie (Crisswell) Whitecotton.
He was a retired upholsterer in Pleasant Grove and a Martins Ferry School District Bus Driver.for 22 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Colerain Presbyterian Church and a Deacon of the church in Colerain, OH.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, George Whitecotton.
Hank is survived by his wife, Martha Jane (McElroy) Whitecotton; daughter, Shawn P. (D. J.) Rausch, Ashland, OH; grandson, Glenn Rausch and granddaughter, Daisy Rausch.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2012 with Pastor, Joe Ellis and Rev. Byron McElroy officiating.
Interment was held in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.

JOHN KISS, 81, of Columbus Ave., Martins Ferry, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV with his family at his side, after a bout with cancer.
John was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on November 13, 1930, son of the late John and Elizabeth (Oravecz) Kiss.
He was a retired motor inspector at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, for 30 years. He was currently employed by McKeen security. John also served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and he was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Martins Ferry.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine (Bevan) Kiss; son, John (Jeannette) Kiss, Glenford, OH ; daughter, Jane L. Straughn, Wheeling; daughter, Carol L. (Van) Donahue, St. Clairsville; son, Carl L. Kiss, Columbus, OH. John is also survived by six grandchildren; John "Cec" (Arielle), Jason Carl, Jaren, Carl Jr. (CJ), Samantha (Sami), Jeremy. Two great grandchildren; Skyler Grace and Danica Lynne and four brothers and five sisters.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass was held Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry at 11 a.m.
Entombment followed in St. Mary's cemetery, Martins Ferry.
