JEFFREY K. CHAMBERS, 55, of Center Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV.
He was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on June 23, 1954, a son of the late Karl H. and Louise (Hall) Chambers who survives him of Martins Ferry, OH.
He was a member of the First Christian Church of Martins Ferry. Jeffrey graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in metallurgic engineering and also he had a long career as an independent truck driver
In addition to his father Jeff was preceded in death by a nephew, Craig Lee Chambers.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Craig (Linda) Chambers of San Francisco, CA.; niece, Traci Vasquez; nephew, Shane Chambers; great nephew, Jake and great nieces, Clarissa and Jasmin.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Rod Kasler officiating.
Interment followed in Holley Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
DONNA L. BUMBICO, 75, of So. 4th Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at East Ohio Regional Hospital.
She was born in Alliance, OH on March 30, 1934, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Ethel Rose (Gamble) Trouten.
She was a employee of Kaikis Grocery Store of Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Samuel Bumbico, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Ronald Trouten and a sister, Eileen Husvar.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen (William) Tucker, Colerain, OH and Carol Roberts, St. Clairsville, OH; son, Nick J. Bumbico, Martins Ferry; brother, Dean Trouten, Canton, OH; five grandchildren, Josh (Erica) Tucker, Lamont (Kelly) Tucker, Shane Bumbico, John and James Roberts; five great grandchildren, Jaren, Caden, Jaden and Taylor Tucker and Andrew Roberts; three special friends, Debbie Czapp, Helen and Sandy Schmelick.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home Friday, November 13, 2009, at 11 a.m., with Rev. William O. Webster, Jr. officiating.
Interment followed in Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
CARL H. JOHNSON, 47, of Ohio Ave., Martins Ferry, Ohio died Sunday, December 6, 2009 at his residence.
He was born in Dearborn, MI on April 30, 1962, a son of the late Roy and Ruth (Tatman) Johnson.
He was a former carpet installer in Columbus, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Patty Kaye Welch.
Carl is survived by his wife, Ruth E. (Mosher) Johnson; daughter, Lindsay Johnson; three step-sons, Timothy, Kimber and Quentin Runyan; four brothers, Roy, Daniel, Charles and Michael Johnson; three sisters, Debbie Bossick, Linda Johnson and Charlotte Harlow. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at the Church Of The Nazarene, 709 Broadway Street, Martins Ferry, with Pastor Dennis Hancock and Pastor Keith Hullinger officiating.
ALICE V. CHANNEL, 86, of Rose Hill Towers, Bellaire, and formerly of Glenns Run, Martins Ferry, OH, died Wednesday, December 16, 2009.
She was born in Moundsville, W.Va. on April 17, 1923, a daughter of the late Martin A. and Alice V. (Johns) Snooks.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Martins Ferry; Bridgeport Eagles and Rose Hill Towers Association.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Owen S. Channel.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra K. Roberts, Bellaire, OH; two sons, Terry A. (Shelley) Channel, Steubenville and Owen S. (Sandra) Channel, Martins Ferry; sister, Eileen Sidrow, Sargus, Ca. She is also survived by six grandchildren, several great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
Funeral service were held at the funeral home Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Rod Kasler officiating.
Interment followed in Riverview cemetery, Martins Ferry.
MORRIS W. REES, "WOODY", 61, of Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, WV.
Woody was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on January 11, 1949, the son of the late Thomas and Nell (Shemenski) Rees.
He was a retired television technician at the former DuVauls T.V. Repair and also Emery's T.V. Sales & Service. Woody was a member of the Marshall Co. Hunting and Fishing Club.
He is survived by numerous cousins.
Service and interment in Riverview cemetery was held at the convenience of the family.
ROSE MARIE RUTTER, 53, of Central Ave., Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Saturday, January 23, 2010 at her residence.
Rose Marie was born in Steubenville, OH. on September 8, 1956, the daughter of Steve and Naomi (Coulter) Modranski of Amsterdam, OH..
She was employed as a bookkeeper at Citizens Bank of Martins Ferry and she was a member of Sycamore Tree Church, Steubenville, OH.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband, Orin David Rutter Jr.; son, Michael F. Williams, Martins Ferry; granddaughter, Danyelle N. Williams, Weirton, WV.; brother, Robert (Glenda) Modranski, Carrollton, OH.; sister, Nancy (Rick) Hearn, Amsterdam, OH.; and brother, Stephen (Lynne) Modranski III, Steubenville, OH.
A memorial services was held at the Sycamore Tree Church, 301 N. 4th St. Steubenville, OH. at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26, with Rev. Stephen Modranski, III officiating.

RAYMOND J FROHNAPFEL, SR, 86, of Martins Ferry, Oh., died Saturday, January 23, 2010
He was born in St. Louis, Mo. on January 26, 1923, son of the late Joseph R. and Bertha (Fox) Frohnapfel.
Ray was a retired employee at the former Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Yorkville Plant. He was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church of Colerain, Oh; Disabled American Veterans, SOARS, and the Wheeling and Colerain Senior Citizens. Ray served in the U.S. Army during WW II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Leona Wilson; brother, Robert Frohnapfel; and grandson, Bradley Frohnapfel.
Ray is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, June (Jones) Frohnapfel; son, Raymond (Chris) Frohnapfel, Jr., Parkville, Mo.; daughter, Sandy (Ken) Fogle, Martins Ferry; daughter, Penny (Bruce) Shane, St. Clairsville, Oh; two sisters. Mary Lou Hawkins, South Hills, Pa; Linda Evans, Panama City, Fl; brother, Edward Frohnapfel, Martins Ferry, Oh; six grandchildren, Wendy (Larry) Hanasky; Karen Fogle; Carrie (Shawn) Kunes; K.C. Mausoleum entombment followed in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Oh.
JUDITH C. JANNOTTE, 70, of Colerain Pike, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Saturday, January 30, 2010.
She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 5, 1939, a daughter of the late James D. and Rose (Reed) Sigal who survives her of Pleasant Grove, OH.
Judy was a retired registered nurse having worked for the State of PA. She was a member of the Ohio Valley Christian Center of Wheeling, WV, until the Lord called her home.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Sullivan.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, George A. Jannotte; six sons, Michael (Jodi) Sealy, Spraggs, PA; David Renner, Washington, PA; Steven J. (Barbara) Jannotte, Buffalo, NY; George C. (Pauline) Jannotte, WI; Gary E. (Kathleen) Jannotte, Knoxville, TN. and Paul C. (Barbara) Jannotte, Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Cathy E. (Daniel) Liedl, West Liberty, WV; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and she was loved by all.
Memorial donations may be made to the Belmont Co. Animal Rescue League, 45244 National Road West, St. Clairsville, OH 43950.
At the family's request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
KATHRYN R. (CANDY) WILSON, 58, of Pearl Street, Martins Ferry, OH, died Wednesday, February 10, 2010
She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on January 1, 1952, a daughter of the late Ernest F. and Anna (Cosmo) Oberdick.
Candy was a retired registered nurse at the former Bellaire Hospital and Sunset Health Care. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Helen Krantz Oberdick; two brothers, Jack and Richard Oberdick; sister, Judy Bailer.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald S. Wilson, Sr.; daughter, Rhonda R. Wilson, Flushing, OH; son, Ronald S. Wilson, Jr., Columbus, OH; grandson, Isaiah C. Eberhart; two brothers, Randy (Judy) Krantz, Wintersville, OH and Tim (Debra) Krantz, Colerain, OH; sister, Vickie Graham, Martins Ferry.
A service of Witness to the Resurrection was held was held Monday, February 15, 2010 at the Grace Presbyterian Church, Martins Ferry at 11 a.m. with Rev. William O. Webster, Jr. officiating.
The Elders of the church conducted bereavement services at the funeral home Sunday at 6 p.m.

SARA E. DOUGHTY, 95, of Sharon Road East, Colerain, OH, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010 at her home.
She was born in New York, N.Y. on December 7, 1914, a daughter of the late John and Nancy (Sprowles) Spencer.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Eugene Messerly Doughty, she was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Yaussey.
She is survived by a daughter, Judy A. (Marvin) Elizeus of Colerain and two grandsons, Steve and Jim.
Funeral service was held at the funeral home Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Brown officiating. Interment was held in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
JESSICA N. HODGSON, 19, formerly of Bridgeport, OH died at Friday, April 16, 2010 at her residence in Martins Ferry.
Jessica was born in Bellaire, OH on August 29, 1990, she was the daughter of James E. Falcone of Blaine, OH and Tammy K. Hodgson of Martins Ferry, OH.
She was a graduate of Bridgeport High School and a member of the High School Choir.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two brothers, Joshua S. Hodgson, Bridgeport and Jason L. Falcone of Wheeling, WV; sister, Jaime L. Falcone, Bellaire, OH.
Funeral service was held at the funeral home on Sunday, April 18, 2010 at 8 p.m. with Rev. William O. Webster, Jr. officiating.
