LOUISE ANN STRAUSS, 76, of Martins Ferry, OH died Saturday, January 16, 2016
Louise was born in Tiltonsville, OH on March 1, 1939, a daughter of the late John Calvin and Rose (Pempek) Pollock.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Strauss and one brother, John Pollock.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah L. (Jeff) Sproul, Pickerington, OH; Cheryl A. (John) Deblasis, Wheeling, WV; two sons, Carl F. (Ana) Strauss, Jr., The Woodlands, TX; Scott M. (Janet) Strauss, Martins Ferry, OH; two brothers, Ronald and Robert Pollock; six sisters, Rosalie Dlesk; Sandra Brothers; Patricia Krol; Marsha Zupko; Karen Moore; Janice Pollock; ten grandchildren, Matthew and Michael Ackerman; Trisha Estock; Jessica Zdrozny; Lauren Hunke; Danielle Schemp; Trent and Sudie Strauss; Carl III and Caily Strauss; four great-grandchildren, Vivian and Mason Ackerman; Reese Zdrozny and Elyse Hunke.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Rev. William O. Webster, Jr. officiating.
Interment followed in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
ROBERT JOSEPH JANISZEWSKI
ROBERT JOSEPH JANISZEWSKI, "BOB", 62, of Martins Ferry, OH, died Sunday, January 24, 2016.
Bob was born in Wheeling, WV on April 12, 1953, a son of the late Stanley Arthur and Theresa Helen (Jackovitch) Janiszewski.
He was a retired employee of the city of Martins Ferry. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Martins Ferry and also the Martins Ferry Fire Dept. and a Honorary Member of the Liberty Station.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley (Mick) Janiszewski on October 5, 2015
In addition to his wife Robin (Williams) Janiszewski, he is survived by two daughters, Rebecca L. (Corey) Kolinski, McMechen, WV and Rosalyn E. Janiszewski, of Martins Ferry; grandson, Xavier J. Kolinski; three granddaughters, Londyn and Kynzleigh Kolinski; Isabella Janiszewski.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2016 with Rev. Tom Marut officiating.
Interment followed at Riverview cemetery, Martins Ferry.
The Fire Department held services at the funeral home Wednesday at 7 p.m.

JOHN C. TIERNEY
JOHN C. TIERNEY, "JACK", 89, of Martins Ferry, OH, died Friday, February 12, 2016.
Jack was born in Martins Ferry, OH on August 8, 1926, the son of the late John Charles and Clara Lou (House) Tierney.
He was a retired employee of the former Ohio Valley Window Co. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Martins Ferry. Jack served in the U. S. Navy during W.W. II.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Tim.
In addition to his wife, Elizabeth Ann (Thomas) Tierney, he is survived by four sons: Gregory J. (Debbie) Tierney, Apex, NC; Keith P. (Linda) Tierney, Westerville, OH; Larry E. (Sue) Tierney, Reynoldsburg, OH; Rick P. (Michelle) Tierney, Pickerington, OH; daughter, Mary Beth (Larry) Brost, Martins Ferry; sister, Winona L. (Dick) Hastwell, Wintersville, OH. Jack is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Sarah; Adam; Julie; John; David; Nichole; Melissa; Michelle; Shane; Jennifer; Morgan; Craig; Marissa and 10 great-grandchildren: Kaleb; Emily; Reese; Connor; Mia; Colsen; Jordan; Savannah; Jada; and Lyla.
A Memorial Mass was held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry, on Thursday, February 18. 2016 at 11 a.m. with Rev.Tom Marut as the celebrant.

RICKY LEE APOSTOLEC
RICKY LEE APOSTOLEC, 57, of Nixon Run Road, Martins Ferry, OH, died Monday, February 29, 2016.
He was born in Martins Ferry, OH on August 2, 1958, a son of the late George and Betty Jean (Thrasher) Apostolec.
He was employed as a truck driver for Teamsters Local 697 of Wheeling, WV.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Preston.
Ricky is survived by his wife, Kimberly S. (Smith) Apostolec; son, Steve M. (Amy) Smith, Columbus, OH; five granddaughters, Karlie and Riley Apostolec; Amyra Young; Presley and Stevie Smith; two brothers, George (Carol) Apostolec and Robert Apostolec; two sisters, Judy (Rich) Baker and Karen (Jimmy) Hill.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Friday, March 4, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Rev. William O. Webster officiating.

MARK LEIF McFARLAND, 52, of Rayland, OH, died Friday, March 18, 2016 at his residence.
Mark was born in Wheeling, WV on October 28, 1963, a son of the late Robert Kinney and Helen Louise (Doughty) McFarland.
He was a former employee of the Ohio Valley Medical Center of Wheeling, WV.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a infant daughter, Mandy.
He is survived by two daughters, Amber M. (Charles) Vanchure, Mt. Pleasant, OH; Jessica (James) Pringle, Georgetown, OH; two sons, Richard A. (Jessica) McFarland, Rayland, OH; Robert W. McFarland, Mt. Pleasant, OH; sister, Carol A. (Jody) Redinger, Martins Ferry, OH; two brothers, Robert K. McFarland and Jeff A. McFarland, both of Martins Ferry; grandchildren, Damion, Chloe, Ava, ; Gianna, Jett, Jaxon.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Tuesday 2-4 2nd 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Rev. James R. Monogloudis officiating.
Private interment will be held in Riverview cemetery.
PETER CLINTON KELLEY, SR.
PETER CLINTON KELLEY, SR., 85, of Hillcrest Drive, Martins Ferry, OH, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016.
He was born in Martins Ferry, on August 16, 1930, a son of the late Prosper E. and Estella (Fowler) Kelley.
Pete was an avid fisherman, sports enthusiast and a devoted father and grandfather. He was a 42 year retired employee of the former Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Yorkville Plant. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church; 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Council #1421 both of Martins Ferry. He served in the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Bernadine Marie (Petras); four sisters and two brothers.
He is survived by three sons, Patrick J. (Denise) Kelley, Martins Ferry; Peter C. (Nicola) Kelley, Jr., Columbus, OH; Stephen M. (Pam) Kelley, Uniontown, OH; eight grandchildren, Shyla, Sommer, Brandon, Noah, Taylor, Justin, Christian and Joseph; six great -grandchildren, Hannah, Haleigh, Silas, Emerson, Charlotte and Cheyenne.
Friends will be received at the funeral homw Monday from 5- 8 p.m. and Tuesday 10 to Noon. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 with Rev. Tom Marut, as the celebrant.
Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
Wake Service at 7:30 Monday at the funeral home.
DELLA MARIE GDULA
DELLA MARIE GDULA, 86, of Martins Ferry, OH, died Sunday, March 20, 2016.
She was born in Martins Ferry, on December 14, 1929, a daughter of the late Luigi and Santa (Tarantina) Riccelli.
She was a retired Legal Secretary at Dankworth & Archer Attorneys at Law of Bridgeport, OH and of Keith Sommer, Attorney at Law of Martins Ferry; Administrative Assistant at Belmont Tech. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry; Catholic Daughters and St. Mary's Funeral Committee.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by six brothers, Tom, Joe, Frank, Louis, Jim and George; sister, Mary Stover.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Stanley Gdula, and her daughter, Kim A. (Tom) Suriano, New Albany, OH; son, David (Natalie) Gdula, Chagrin Falls, OH; sister, Frances (James) Wilson, Martins Ferry, OH; brother, Dominic Riccelli, Warren, OH; two granddaughters, Susan (David) Selan, Westerville, OH; Stephanie (Mark) Foster, Gahanna, OH; two grandsons, Parker Gdula, Chagrin Falls, OH; Gannon Gdula, Chagrin Falls, OH; four great grandsons, Henry, George, Walt and Wyatt; also survived by niece AJ (Mark) Davison, who provided love, care and support.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Rosary & Wake Service shall be at 3:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, with Rev. Tom Marut as the celebrant.
Interment will follow at Riverview cemetery Martins Ferry.
JOHN J. KOGUT
JOHN J. KOGUT, 84, of So. Zane Highway, Martins Ferry, Ohio died Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at East Ohio Regional Hospital.
He was born in Lansing, Ohio on February 8, 1920, a son of the late Andrew and Barbara Kogut.
He was a retired welder for Blaw Knox, Wheeling and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Martins Ferry. John also served in the U. S. Army during W.W.II.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Ann Yoblinski.
Surviving are his wife, Ann C. (Antolak) Kogut; two sons, John A. (Mickey) Kogut, Bowie, Md. and James A. Kogut, Martins Ferry; two daughters, Barbara A. (Dennis) Klenowski, Brookside, Ohio and Connie J. (Michael) Crecion, Martins Ferry; brother, Frank Kogut; three sisters, Mary Klish, Lucille Brilski and Irene Kreachbaum. He is also survived by six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass was celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2004 with Rev. Thomas A. Magary as the celebrant. Interment followed in Linwood cemetery, Blaine, Ohio.
Military honors were held at the funeral home Saturday at 10:15 a.m. by the Belmont Co. Council of the V.F.W.

MARY K. VERDONK
MARY K. VERDONK, 97, formerly of N. 3rd Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio died Monday, December 6, 2004 at Belmont Manor, St. Clairsville, Ohio.
She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on February 6, 1907, a daughter of the late Steven and Agnes (Staron) Klzelko.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Verdonk; two brothers, Joseph Kazelka and Alex Kazelko and two sisters, Katherine Horvath and Rose Teufal.
Surviving are a niece, JoEllen Kyanko, Berea, Ohio; nephew, Gregory Kazelka, California; two great nieces, Janine and Kelly Kyanko, both of Berea, Ohio.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Thomas A. Magary officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Calvary cemetery, Wheeling, W. Va.
