John F. Chambers
John F. (Frank) Chambers, 92, of Findlay passed away at 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at his residence. He was born on September 12, 1918, in Gilboa to the late Ben and Velma (Nemire) Chambers. On November 10, 1989, he married
his wife and soul mate Alma (Meyer) Balicki and she survives. He was preceded in death by his only son, Robert Chambers. Also surviving is a daughter-in-law, Katy Chambers of Columbus, GA; granddaughters: Carey Chambers and Tiffani (Ian) Sansbury; a great-granddaughter, Sarabeth Sansbury, all of Columbus, GA; a sister, Eloise Weis of Findlay; two nieces: Connie (Paul) O'Mara of Vienna, VA and Cindy (Lee) Hill of Chicago, IL; two step-daughters: Linda (Marvin) Figy of Findlay and Deb Bish of Perrysburg; five step-grandchildren: Carrie (Jim) Bame, Christopher (Sarah) Figy, Jackie (Zachary) Short, Derek Bish and Jamie Bish; three step-great-grandchildren: Joshua Bame, Justice Short and Addyson Short. Frank was retired from the U.S. Army as a Lieutenant Colonel after 27 years. He was an instructor and teacher at the Fort Benning Army Base in Columbus, GA. He proudly served our country in three wars: World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War. He was a member of the Amvets Post 21, American Legion Post 3, Moose Lodge #698 and the Oak Mallet Golf Course. A funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Friday, September 17, 2010, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, where full military rites will be conducted by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad. Pastor Steve Rumschlag officiating. Burial will be in Park Hill cemetery in Columbus, GA. Visitation will be held Friday, 3 hours (2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.) prior to the service at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.
Jamie Lynn Phillips
Jamie Lynn Phillips, age 30, of Findlay died unexpectedly at her residence on Tuesday, September 14, 2010. She was born in Bluffton on December 7, 1979, to Terry L. and Bonnie L. (Breece) Phillips, and they survive. She is also survived by her fiance, Robert Gerken, three daughters: Cameron Michelle Diebel, Azalea Paige Diebel and Mazie Lou Phillips, sister Andrea Lynn (Ian Fleck) Phillips, nephews Gavin, Landon and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service will be held from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2010, at her parents residence. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in memory of Jamie to her children c/o Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, 205 W. Sandusky St. Findlay, OH 45840.
Doris Jane Parke
Doris Jane Parke, age 86, of Findlay died at 4:50PM on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010 at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay. She was born in Bluffton, Ohio on March 3, 1924 to the late James C. and Olive B. (Stratton) Christman. On October 18, 1947, she married
Harry A. Parke and he died on April 26, 1993. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and was the owner of the Ferne Cafe in Findlay. She is survived by two sons: Thomas J. (Cindy) Parke of Findlay and Richard W. "Gus" Parke of Findlay as well as a daughter: Jane (David) Minton of Columbus, Ohio. Doris has 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters: Mrs. Rose M. (Wilbert) Zimmerly of Findlay, Donna C. (Clyde) Mason of Findlay, and Nancy L. (Ronald) Smith of Indian River, Mich. She was preceded in death by a sister: Ruthanna Christman and four brothers: Bernard J. "Bud" Christman, Leonard L. "LL" Christman, Robert E. "Bob" Christman, and Edgar A. "Eddie" Christman. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-5pm at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Findlay where funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Monday. Pastor Greg Creech will officiate and entombment at the family mausoleum will follow at Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay. Memorials may be given to either Cancer Patient Services or to Bridge Home Health and Hospice in her memory.
Richard D. Huffman
Richard D. (Dick) Huffman, age 80, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2010, at 10:35 a.m. at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay. Richard was born in Findlay on December 4, 1929, to H. Paul and Thelma Huffman. He graduated from Findlay High School where he was active in music and track. On February 12, 1950, he married
Margaret Ann Folk, and she survives in Findlay. They recently celebrated 60 years of marriage. He is also survived by his stepsisters Marilyn (Bill) Bradbury and Sara (Jim) Norris as well as his children, Steven (Bev) Huffman, daughter-in-law Virginia Huffman, Jane (Eric) VanRenterghem, and Kathy (Bill) Conine. His parents and a son David Huffman preceded him in death. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Alex Huffman, Andrea (Kevin) Sertell, Craig VanRenterghem, Brynn (Andreas) Baumgartner, Amanda (Tom) Russ, Jordan (Kyle) Tuttle, Kevin VanRenterghem, and Meryn Conine. Richard also has three great grandchildren, Austin and Hunter Sertell and Conrad Russ. Richard worked at Marathon Oil Company for 40 years in the R & M Accounting department. He was a former Boy Scout leader for Troop 308. Richard was very active with church and community music as both a soloist and choir member since the age of 12. His greatest joy was time spent attending his children and grandchildren's musical and sporting events while they were in high school and college. He will always be remembered as a man of integrity, steadfast discipline, and honesty. The warmth of his hugs will be the legacy he leaves for his family. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m., at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 20, 2010, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, with pastor Gregory Creech officiating. Burial service will be held in Maple Grove cemetery, Findlay. Robert Joseph Welborn
Robert Joseph Welborn, 62, of Fostoria died at 9:02 a.m., Thursday, September 16, 2010 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. He was born on September 15, 1948, to the late Lowell and Martha (Mathias) Welborn in Seneca County, OH. Robert is survived by his three sons: Eric J. Welborn of Findlay, Aaron C. (Kim) Welborn of Newark, OH, and Cory A. (Cathy) Welborn of Lawrenceville, GA; two sisters: Barb Hohman of Ottawa, OH and Kathleen Gruss of Tiffin, OH; and five grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Welborn and a sister Thelma Eddington. Robert was a 1966 graduate of New Riegel High School. After high school he joined the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Robert worked at Honeywell in Fostoria. All services are private. Arrangements entrusted to COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Memorials can be made in his memory to The American Cancer Society.
William Anthony James Brock
William Anthony James Brock, 6 weeks old, returned to heaven on Tuesday, September 14, 2010. He was born to Jonathan and Courtney (Pickens) Brock. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 20, 2010, at the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. Burial will be in Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay. Arrangements are being handled by COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay.

Elizabeth O'Brien Kinsey, 93, formerly of Findlay died at 2:06 AM Friday, September 17, 2010 at the Sarah Moore Home in Delaware, Ohio. Visitation will be from 2:00-5:00 PM Sunday and 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM Monday at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, downtown at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 21, 2010 with Father Michael Hohenbrink officiating. Burial will follow in St. Michael cemetery.
William Paul Harmon
William Paul "Bill" Harmon Sr., 66, of Findlay passed away at 3:20 p.m. on Friday, October 29, 2010 at Blanchard Valley Hospital. Bill was born on September 8, 1944, in Findlay to the late Edison and Mary Christina (Butler) Harmon. On August 16, 1962, he married
Mary J. Buckland and she survives. Bill is also survived by his son William P. (Brenda) Harmon Jr., of Richmond, VA, son-in-law Guy Crawford of Findlay, brother-in-law Jerry (Wilma) Buckland of Missouri and seven grandchildren: Bo William Crawford, Brandon Michael Crawford, Bradley Paul Crawford, Selina Lynne Crawford, Alexis Lynne Crawford, Courtney Smith and Josh Smith. Mr Harmon was preceded in death by his son, Jack Edison Harmon, two daughters; Shari Lynne Harmon and Christie Ann Crawford and sister Barbara Ann Harmon. Bill was a minister in the Church of Christ serving at churches in Boonsboro, MD, Butler, IN, Hillsdale, MI, Ayresville, OH and Romney, WV. In 1987 he left the ministry and moved back to Findlay to take care of his mother. Bill enjoyed life and loved to be around people. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, from 2:00 - 4:00 & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, with D.V. Dillinger officiating. A private burial will take place at a later date. Marilyn Jean Miller
Marilyn J. Miller, 79, of Findlay passed away before 6:00 a.m. November 1, 2010. She was born October 12, 1931, in Castalia Ohio. Marilyn graduated from Tiffin University and was the secretary to the President of American Standard. She was also a mother of eight and owner of Marilyn's Restaurant in Findlay. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton, on October 13, 2006. Surviving Marilyn are her 8 children: Gary Miller (Suzann Saalman), Sherry (Miller) Griggs (Curtis Griggs), Dennis Miller, Deborah (Miller) Moomey (David Moomey), Marvin Miller (Janice (Peterson) Miller), Marcia (Miller) Baldwin (Gary Baldwin), Carol (Miller) Alrefaei, and Chris Miller (Elaine (Bowers) Miller). Also surviving Marilyn are 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements were handled by COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010 at St. Marks United Methodist Church with Pastor Terry Pontius officiating.
Gene Raymond Dewey
Gene "Ray" Dewey, 72, of Findlay, died at 6:30 p.m., Sunday October 31, 2010, at the Birchaven Care Center, Findlay. He was born on May 23, 1938, in Findlay to the late Franklin and Hattie (Gordon) Dewey. He married
Paula Foltz on August 14, 1960, and she survives. Also surviving are their sons: Craig (Cassie) of Findlay, Scott (Jill) of Cygnet and Brian Dewey of Findlay; grandchildren: Mandy, Alex, Katie, Aric, Audrey and Dale; brothers: Robert (Jean) of Marblehead, OH and Ralph (Shirley) Dewey of Findlay; a sister, Loretta Farthing of Findlay; step-brothers: Homer Lentz of Findlay, Kenny Lentz of Findlay and Jack (Alice) Lentz of AZ; a step-brother-in-law, Bob Gardner; a step-sister-in-law, Ila Lentz of Findlay; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Keith Farthing; step-brothers: Alvie and Marion Lentz; step-sisters: Nellie Gardner and Ruth (Clarence) Hills; step-sisters-in-law: Marilyn Lentz, Mary Lou Lentz and Jesse Lentz. Ray retired from Signal Delivery where he was a truck driver. He was an active member of Stonebridge Church of God, GWTA and Teamsters Union Local 20. He served our country in the U.S. Army Reserve. Ray loved bird watching, but most of all loved his family. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 4, 2010, at Stonebridge Church of God, with Reverend Tom Herringshaw officiating. Burial will be in New Maplewood cemetery, North Baltimore. Visitation will be held from 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Memorial contributions may be made to Stonebridge Church of God Chapel Fund and/or Cancer Patient Services, in his memory.
Geneva Sue Moye
Geneva Sue Moye, 78 of Findlay died at 2:07 a.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Bridge Hospice Care Center. She was born on February 21, 1932, in Helen WV to the late Herbert and Mary (Blackwell) Blake. On June 24, 1950, she married
Arlliss E. "Whitey" Moye and he preceded her in death on May 3, 1996. She is survived by her son, Michael Eugene (Linda) Moye of Mukiltel, WA, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Sue was preceded in death by her son, David Moye, one brother and two sisters. Sue was a member of Gospel Fellowship Church, Rawson. She was also a member of the Missionary Women's Association and she also volunteered at St. Catherine's, Fox Run and many other places. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2010, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Gospel Fellowship Church where the funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dave Leman officiating. Burial will take place in Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley, WV on Sunday, November 7, 2010. Memorial contributions can be made to the Gospel Fellowship Church, Rawson of Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
Charles Gordon Wilcox
Charles Gordon "Bud" Wilcox, 78, of Findlay passed away at 4:32 a.m. on Friday, November 5, 2010 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. He was born on May 29, 1932, to the late Henry and Rosabell (Rucker) Wilcox in McGuffey, OH. He married
Leona L. Newland on June 1, 1958, and she survives. He is also survived by two daughters: Barbara (David) Krieger of rural Mt. Cory and Bonnie (Mike) McKitrick of Findlay; four grandchildren: Greg (Andrea) Krieger of rural Mt. Cory, Kendra (Jason) Ruhlen of rural Rawson, OH, Cuyler McKitrick of Findlay, and Kichaela McKitrick of Findlay; three great-grandchildren: Mason and Kae Leonna Ruhlen both of rural Rawson, OH and Madison Krieger of rural Mt. Cory; two brothers: Richard and Robert (Connie) Wilcox both of Findlay; sister, Betty Burgbacher of Perrysburg, OH; and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by siblings: William Wilcox and Mary Helen Wilcox. Bud served his country proudly in the United States Army, where he was a Sergeant in the 21 Ord Co (DS) APO during the Korean War. He worked as a mechanic for UPS for 26 years until he retired in 1991. Bud was a member of the Northwest Ohio Antique Machinery Association, and lifetime member of the Antique Tractor Association in Portland, IN, AMVETS, DAV, Ralph D. Cole Post #3 American Legion, VFW in Ada, OH, and the Korean War Veteran Association. Bud enjoyed restoring tractors, pulling tractors, garden tractors, go kart racing, camping, bonfires in the backyard, and especially his family. He was also a member of the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad, the National Campers and Hikers Association, and the First United Brethren Church, Findlay. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 8, 2010 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, where visitation will be held from 1:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 7, 2010. Pastor Darwin Dunten will officiate and burial will follow in Benton Ridge cemetery, Benton Ridge, OH, where full military rites will be performed by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad. Memorials can be made in his memory to the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad, First United Brethren Church, Korean War Veterans Association, and/or Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
