Gretchen L. Kirk
June 5, 1921 ~ June 27, 2007
Mrs. Gretchen Louise Kirk, 86, of Findlay, passed away at 10:15 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2007 while in the company of family members at The Heritage.
Mrs. Kirk was born in Winterville, North Carolina on June 5, 1921, the daughter of the late Otis H. and Selma Laura (Hardee) Forrest.
She was the wife of Donald D. Kirk. They were married
on January 1, 1945 in Franklin, VA and enjoyed 62 years together.
Gretchen is survived by daughter: Ellen Louise Melick of Mt. Cory, Ohio; sons: Michael Lin Kirk of Columbus, Ohio, James F. Kirk of Findlay, Ohio; sisters: Elaine Sloan of FL, Bea Little of NC; brothers: W. Gordon Forrest of NC., Conley Forrest of NC. and Linwood E. Forrest of NC. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers: Ola H. and Ruffus H. Forrest; sisters: Nonie C. Iverson, Mary Ellen Strahan, and Adelle Wall.
Gretchen attended the ECTC (East Carolina Teacher's College) in Lynchburg, VA where she earned her Registered Nursing degree. She was an occupational health nurse at Whirlpool Corporation Findlay, Ohio, until her retirement.
Gretchen was especially proud of joining the cadet corp. in her senior year of nursing training. She was also a life member of the DAV post # 43 auxiliary, the AMVETS post #21 auxiliary and the VFW # 5645 auxiliary.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Routson Funeral Chapel.
Religious Service will be held at Routson Funeral Chapel, Findlay, OH at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2007, with Rev. Bill Reist officiating.
Interment is scheduled to follow in Knollcrest Gardens, Arcadia, OH.

Marlojean M. Leon-Guerrero
September 1, 1972 ~ July 17, 2007
Miss Marlojean M Leon-Guerrero, 34, of Findlay, entered eternal rest at 1:37 am, Tuesday, July 17, 2007 while in the company of family members at Blanchard Valley Health Center.
Miss Leon-Guerrero was born in San Francisco, CA on September 1, 1972, the daughter of the late Jesus T and Dessie (Bish) Leon-Guerrero; she survives in Findlay, Ohio.
She is survived by brother: Cloyd (Bianica) Biller of Tiffin, Ohio; maternal grandmother: Theresia Bish; an Uncle Joe (Andrea) Bish; two nieces and two nephews.
Marlojean was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather: Cloyd W. Bish and paternal grandparents: Jesus and Anuncia Leon-Guerrero.
A 1991 graduate of Findlay High School, she was employed as a Dining Hall Attendant at Sodexho of the University of Findlay. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, where she sang in the choir.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Routson Funeral Chapel where a Rosary Service will be held at 7:30pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel Church East, Findlay at 10 am on Monday, July 23, 2007 with Father Shaji Thomas officiating.
Interment is scheduled to follow at St. Michael's cemetery in Findlay, OH.

Donald Stelzer
June 23, 1930 ~ September 17, 2007
Mr. Donald Stelzer, 77, of Findlay, passed away at 12:39 am, Monday, September 17, 2007 peacefully at The Heritage.
Mr. Stelzer was born in Lima, Ohio on June 23, 1930, the son of the late John P and Thelma (Bresler) Stelzer.
Donald was the husband of Marty (Ellerman) Stelzer. They were married
on December 14, 1957 in Sidney, Ohio. They enjoyed 49 years together. She survives him.
He is survived by a daughter: Lori (David A.) Hanson; a son: John Stelzer, both of Findlay and a sister: June McDorman of Lima, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert and Gale Stelzer
Donald proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Corporal from August 7, 1952 until August 6, 1960 where he was an investigator for the counter intelligence corp.
As a civilian he was a Sr. Writer at Marathon Oil Company Findlay, Ohio until his retirement in 1985.
Donald was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Lima, Ohio; First Lutheran Church in Findlay, Ohio, the American Heart Association, and the National Ski Patrol where he was a member for 35 years and a director for 5 years. He was an Eagle Scout and wrote for the Boy Scouts until retirement. He also volunteered for the Red Cross.
He enjoyed fishing; snow skiing, photography and biking.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 from 10 am -12 noon at Routson Funeral Chapel. A Religious Service is scheduled to follow at Noon
Interment will be held at Maple Grove cemetery in Findlay, OH where the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad will perform military rites

Berton Stevens
January 13, 1940 ~ September 22, 2007
Mr. Berton Stevens, 67, of Arlington, passed away at 12:52 pm, Saturday, September 22, 2007 peacefully at University of Toledo Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio.
Mr. Stevens was born in Columbus, Ohio on January 13, 1940, the son of the late Bert and Mildred (Bishop) Stevens.
He was the widower of Rosalie (Niekro) Stevens. They were married
on September 26, 1959 in Temperance, MI and enjoyed 44 years together. She preceded him in death.
He is survived by sons: Brian B. Stevens of Columbus, Ohio., Jon B. Stevens of Marietta, Georgia., Bruce B. Stevens of Bowling Green, Ohio; and a brother: David Stevens of Naples, Florida. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Jonathon D., Warren G., Jackson L., and Matthew B. Stevens.
Berton was a 1956 graduate of Harbor Beach Community High School, Harbor Beach, MI. He attended Central Michigan College, Mt. Pleasant, MI from 1956-1958; the University of Findlay, Findlay, OH from 1959-1963; and Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, OH from 1970-1971.
He was a Relocation Supervisor at Ohio Department of Transportation Ohio., for 17 years until his retirement in 1988. He was previously employed as a merchant seaman and ship's representative with Wilson Marine Transit in Cleveland, Ohio from 1959-1960; a caseworker and subdivision manager for the Department of Public Welfare in the Aid for Aged Division from 1961-1962; a caseworker for the Hancock County Department of Welfare from 1962-1967; and the chief probation officer with the Hancock County Juvenile Court from 1967-1971.
He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Findlay, Ohio. He was a former President of the Hancock County Community Action Commission, the Hancock County Coordinating Council of Social and Welfare Agencies, and the Greater Ohio Chapter of the American Diabetes Assoc. He was a member of the Ohio Citizens Council, the Executive Board of Hancock-Putnam-Hardin County Community Action Commission, the Advisory Board of Neighborhood Opportunity Center, the Executive Board of the Hancock County Tuberculosis and Respiratory Disease Assoc., the Steering Committee to organize Hancock County Home Health Nursing Agency, the Steering Committee to organize the Hancock County Family Service Agency. He was also an advisory member of the Put-Han-Sen Boy Scout Council.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Routson Funeral Chapel.
Religious Service will be held at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1701 Tiffin Ave, Findlay, Ohio 45840 at 10 am on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 with Rev. Christian Dittmar officiating.
Interment is scheduled to follow at Maple Grove cemetery Findlay, OH.

Charles Arthur Doyle
April 18, 1919 ~ October 24, 2007
Paul Everette Corbin, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at Fox Run Manor.
He was born to Everette and Bertha (Wallis) Corbin, on April 18, 1919 in New Market, Iowa.
Paul married
Margaret A. (Peggy) Roush on October 14, 1939 at St Mary’s Church, Marshall, IL, and they were married
68 years.
He attended Chilicothe MO Business College and served in the Army Air Force during World War II. He later graduated from Findlay College. Paul was employed by Western Union and Ohio Oil in Marshall, IL and Marathon Oil in Findlay, OH for 43 years, retiring as a Purchasing Coordinator in 1983. Paul and his family moved to Findlay, OH in 1955. Paul loved music, and played in school bands in New Market, IA, Chilicothe, MO, and the Marshall Community Band (the country’s longest playing community band). Paul enjoyed traveling for work and pleasure and also enjoyed searching family genealogy. He was a member and past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus #975, the American Legion – Ralph Cole #3, Holy Name Society and St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church.
Surviving Paul is his wife, Peggy of Findlay, OH; son, Terry (Tonna) Corbin-Maple Grove, MN; daughters, Ann (Don) West-Bellevue, OH and Patricia Bastic-Appleton, WI; sister, Georgia (Marvin) Brown; grandchildren – Lee Ann West, Kevin (Tricia) West, Brian West, Chris (Chanda) West, Leasa (Mike) Pratt, Brent (Elizabeth) Bastic, Jason Bastic, Amy (Aaron) Dall, Kimberly Bastic; great grandchildren – Amanda, Sean, Alek, Petr, Chloe, Ethan, Carter, Sydney, Elliot; great great grandchildren – Donovan, Breanna; many nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, a brother: Bernard Corbin, and 3 sisters: Letha Knoles, Charlotte Sungren, and Peggy McPherren.
Family and friends may call at Routson Funeral Home, 201 Osborn Ave. Findlay OH during visitation on Friday, October 26, 2007 from 2-4 and 6:30-8:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 750 Bright Road, Findlay, OH officiated by Father Mike Hohenbrink. Interment will follow at St. Michael’s cemetery. The family suggests that any donations in memory of Paul be made to St. Michael’s Church or Ohio Parkinson Foundation Northwest Region, Inc., 1545 N. Behlman Rd., Oak Harbor, OH 43449.
John R. Frullo
July 31, 1943 ~ October 21, 2007
Mr. John Frullo, 64, of Findlay, entered eternal rest at 7:31 pm, Sunday, October 21, 2007 while in the company of his daughters at his residence.
Mr. Frullo was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 31, 1943, the son of the late Joseph and Evelyn (Martin) Frullo.
On October 28, 1962 he married
Theresa Gemmo. They had 3 children together and later divorced. He was the husband of Sherry (Scott) Frullo. They were married
on December 29, 1988. They survive him.
He is survived by 2 daughters: Cheryl (Keith Holt) Darr, Maureen (Brian) Wilcox, both of Findlay, Ohio; a son: John R (Sharon) Frullo Jr., of Boynton Beach, Florida; 2 step-daughters: Lisa (Bill Beltz) Jones, Brandy (Randy) Van Sant, both of Findlay, Ohio; a step-son: George (Tabitha) Ralston of Allen Town, Pennsylvania; a brother: Joseph Frullo, Jr. of Oklahoma; and 2 half-sisters: Mary Weaver and Eleanor (Jim) Speck, both of Findlay, Ohio. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Tori, Alek, Justin, Carlie, Shanna, Toni, Jessie, Tara, Miranda, Dustin, Ceara; and 1 great-grandchild: Jazmyn.
He was preceded in death by a half-sister: Florence Frost.
He was a Law Enforcement Detective with the Findlay City Police Department in Findlay, Ohio until he retired in 1993.
John was a member of the F.O.P Lodge number 20 and the Elks Lodge BPOE Number 75.
He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church in Findlay, OH.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 from 6-8 pm. A visitation will also be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Routson Funeral Chapel, where the F.O.P. will perform memorial rites at 7:00 pm followed by a Rosary Service at 7:30 pm.
