Munn, Betty V. (Enicks) age 85 of Trotwood, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2006.
She retired from Elder Beerman Department Stores after 34 years of service on her 80th birthday, and previously worked 14 years at Rikes Department Stores.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband: Verlon E. Munn, beloved daughter: Darla J. Masten, father and mother: Orville & Clara Enicks, sisters: Lucille Utz and Olive Marie Enicks, brothers: Robert, Walter, Gene & Franklin Enicks, paternal grandparents: Custer & Hettie Enicks, maternal grandparents: Remely & Theresa James.
She is survived by her devoted son and daughter-in-law: Verlon “Skip” & Beverly Munn of Butler Twp., son-in-law: Philip Masten of Miamisburg, sister: Dorothy Heiser of Greenville, sisters-in-law: Emma and Annabel Enicks of Greenville, and Connie Enicks of Coldwater, grandchildren and spouses: Terry & Bill Dearbaugh of Dayton, Chris & Connie Masten of Miamisburg, Diane & Mark Salyer of Oak Island, NC, Melissa & Michael Bauer of Dayton, Steffanie & Michael Reynolds of Dayton, Drs. Lance & Emmanuelle Munn of Lexington, MA, Aaron & Amy E. Munn of Vandalia, Amy A. & Matt Chaffin of Shenandoah, IA, great grandchildren: Jennifer & Bryan McCarty, Katherine Walker, Lauren & Taylor Dearbaugh, Jackie Brock, Adam Reynolds, Jake & Haley Munn, Luke & Sophie Munn, Abby, Ellie & Ian Chaffin, step great grandchildren: Dustin, Brittany & Chelsea Gibson, great great grandson: Bryson, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 11, at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) with Rev. Ron Hajarian officiating.
Interment will follow the service at Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Garnet E. Caudell
Date: 2004-12-25
Caudell, Garnet E. (Bowker) age 83 of Englewood, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2004 at the Maria Joseph Living Care Center in Trotwood.
She was a Loving Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother.
Garnet retired as a Legal Secretary with over 40 years at various law offices.
She was a longtime member of the Grace United Methodist Church where she was active in the Home Builders Class.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Stephen & Mary Caudell Jr. of Englewood, David and Marsha Caudell of Tipp City, granddaughters: Elizabeth and Jim Hanneman, Anna and Todd Parker, great grandson: Maxwell Stephen Hanneman, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Stephen P. Caudell Sr., parents: Orville and Blanch (Snell) Bowker, brother: Nole Bowker and sister: Gladys “Toni” Hanbuch.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood).
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 5:00 p.m. until time of service.

Janis R. Davis

Davis, Janis R. (Martin) age 56 of Clayton, passed away on Sunday, February 6, at Hospice of Dayton.
Janis taught for many years at the elementary school level for Dayton Christian Schools, and was an active member of the Basore Road Grace Brethren Church.
She was an avid reader, and enjoyed singing and music & spending time with her family, church family and friends.
Janis was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years: Larry R. Davis Sr., children and spouses: Larry R. & Anne Davis Jr. of Clayton, April R. & Joseph Daniel of Dayton, and James M. & Karisse Davis of Clayton, brothers and sister-in-law: Daniel & Kathy Martin of CA, and Walter Martin of IN, sister and brother-in-law: Carol & Harold Pulver of Clayton, mother-in-law: Lillie M. Davis of PA, grandchildren: Taylor age 6, Elizabeth age 3, and Kyle age 1, many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Walter Herbert & L. Jayne (McClain) Martin, and a grandson: Jesse.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood).
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 10, at the Basore Road Grace Brethren Church with Pastor Brian White officiating.
Interment will follow the service at Arlington cemetery, Brookville.

E. Lucille McWain

McWain, E. Lucille, age 92, of Brookville, formerly of Trotwood, passed away on Wednesday, February 16th at the Brookhaven Skilled Nursing Facility.
Lucille was a member of the Northmont Community Church for over 65 years, and also volunteered at the Maria Joseph Care Center.
Lucille is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: James (Marilyn) McWain of Brookville, and their daughters: Linda Boutwell and Dianna Sholly; daughter and son-in-law: Judy (Roger) Stamper of Hazel Green, Kentucky, and their son: Jeff; granddaughter: Carol McWain; step grandchildren: Marilou Jewett, Steve and Scott Kreitzer, Melinda Hagans; eight great grandchildren: Christina Boutwell, Melissa Sauceda, Austin and Alex Boutwell, Amber Henderson, Klint, Klayton, & Kolt Kuck; three very special great great grandchildren: Dakota Boutwell, and twins, Harley and Hailey Henderson, and numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Carl W. McWain and daughter: Janet L. McWain.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 19th, at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) with Chaplain Hal Copley officiating.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.
Interment will follow the service at the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

Hamblen, J. Arlene (Braden) age 71 of Clayton, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2005 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Arlene was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church for over 33 years.
Arlene is survived by her husband of 48 years: William “Bill” Hamblen, daughter and son-in-law: Tracy L. & David Greenwell of Englewood; son: Michael S. Hamblen of Lexington, KY; proud grandmother of triplets: Bryn, Cody & Summer Greenwell, former daughter-in-law: Lisa Roberts of Lexington, KY; other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother: Fern J. (Braden) Hittepole; father: Edward Eirtle; and step-father: Adrian Hittepole.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 16th, at Precious Blood Catholic Church (4961 Salem Ave.) with Father William O’Donnell Celebrant.
Interment will follow the service at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, Brookville.
The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass.

Miller, Ruth Marjorie (Gary) of Englewood, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2006 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
She is survived by her daughter: Sandra Cochran of Trotwood, sons and daughters-in-law: Robert B. & Charlene McDonald Jr. of West Carrollton, and Michael D. & Candice McDonald of Geneva, FL, sister: Betty Carter of Lexington, KY, brother: James E. Gary of Springerville, IN, 15 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Calvin J. “Rocky” Miler, parents: Clifford P. and Emma L. (Thickston) Gary, and 5 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 11, at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood).
Interment will be at Fairview cemetery, Englewood.

Russell M. Elswick
Date: 2007-05-28
Elswick, Russell M., age 81 of Englewood, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2007 at his residence.
He retired in 1987 from the Ohio Operating Engineers.
Russell was a veteran of WWII having proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was also a member of Masonic Lodge #753 F.& A.M. in Beavercreek and the Antioch Shrine Center of Dayton.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Dolly M. (Keel) Elswick, sister: Eleanor Samuels of KY, nephew: William “Bill” (Carol) Reis of KY, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Freelan and Causbie (Charles) Elswick and brother: Edgar Elswick.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 30 at Memorial Park cemetery in Dayton.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood).

Alice E. Brunk

Brunk, Alice E. (Shisler), age 86 of Englewood, formerly of the Brookville area, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2004 at Grace Brethren Village in Englewood.
Alice attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Dayton and Vandalia Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Viola and Galen Myers of Englewood, son-in-law: Russell Strome of IN, grandchildren: Cindy (Jim) Garverick of Union, Ben (Brenda) Myers of Vandalia, Rusty Strome of IN, Elaine (Bill) Edwards of Vandalia, Sarah (Jason) Smith of IN, Anita Strome of IN; 10 great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband: John L. Brunk, parents: John and Mary (Shock) Shisler, brother: Clarence Shisler and sisters: Marjorie Davis & Anna Belle Carico.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00A.M. on Monday, December 20th at Dayton First Church of the Nazarene (7031 North Main St., Dayton) with Pastor R. E. Brown and Pastor Al Robertson officiating.
Interment will follow the service at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens in Brookville.

Jerry Dennis Roberts

Roberts, Jerry Dennis age 69 of Brookville, passed away on Thursday, March 10, following a sudden illness.
Jerry was always optimistic, a motivator and encourager of those around him.
He was the former owner of Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, and had served as President of the Ohio Association of Cemeterians.
He served in various leadership positions and often as a speaker for National cemetery Associations and Conferences.
In 1985, Jerry was the founding partner of what is now the Kindred Funeral Home.
He was a graduate of Kansas University and member of the Alpha Kappa Lambda Fraternity, the Charter President and longtime member of Dor-Wood Optimist Club in Kettering, a Charter Member and Founder of the Northmont Business Association now known as the Englewood-Northmont Chamber of Commerce, and as a Past President and current member of the Northmont Rotary Club.
He was a former member of the Englewood Planning Commission, and had been active with the NABL and softball at the Englewood Little League.
Jerry was a longtime active member of Concord United Methodist Church in Englewood, and was a veteran of the US Army.
During his “retirement”, Jerry was working in promotional sales for the Holiday Inn Dayton-Airport location in Englewood.
He is survived by his wife: Jo Ann (Benton) Roberts, daughter and son-in-law: Jill & Bill Kindred, son: Jeffrey B. Roberts, daughter-in-law: Karen Roberts, brother and sister-in-law: Bill & Mary Ann Roberts of Centerville, brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Robert W. & Bobbe Benton of Kansas, many nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends, but most of all, he was known as “Pappy” to his grandchildren, Clayton Kindred, Luke Roberts, Megan Roberts and Carson Kindred.
He was preceded in death by his parents: William Burkett “W. B.” and Dora P. (Alder) Roberts.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 14, at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) with Rev. Kathy Brown officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Funeral Home.
There will be a reception following the service at Concord United Methodist Church (1123 S. Main Street, Englewood 45322).
Entombment will be held privately at the Royal Oak Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Margaret "Mickey" M. Hintz

Hintz, Margaret “Mickey” M. (Meistad), age 83 of Brookville, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at Brookhaven Nursing Home.
She was a Loving Mother and Grandmother.
She retired after 40 years as a nurse anesthesis from Good Samaritan Hospital.
She is survived by her son: Steven Hintz of Piqua, daughters: Barbara Heins of Brookville, Mary Jo Batteiger of Vandalia, and grandson: Peter Batteiger of Vandalia.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Clyde Hintz, parents: Fred and Elsie Meistad and granddaughter: Sarah Batteiger.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 15 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) with Pastor Alvin Cook officiating.
Interment will follow the service at Riverside cemetery in West Milton.

Perry L. Day

Day, Perry L. age 90 of Englewood, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2006 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Perry retired from Frigidaire where he worked as a tool maker for 41 years.
He was a member of the Covenant Community Church in Vandalia and former member of the Salem Church of God in Clayton.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years: Melba (Fisher) Day, daughters and sons-in-law: Leah Day of Kettering, Trinette & Tony Kelley of Ludlow Falls, and Sherry & Rick Weaver of Riverside, OH, son and daughter-in-law: Mark & Sophia Lloyd of Chicago, IL, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, many other family members and special friends.
Perry was preceded in death by his parents: Ira L. & Jennie (Wolfe) Day, brother: Carl Day, and his former wife of 29 years: Janet (Brown) Day in 1977.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 22, at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) with Pastor Jody McGuire officiating.
Interment will follow the service at Mote cemetery near Arcanum.
