DUNDEE, MI – Aiden Joseph Maher, 28 days, died Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ypsilanti, MI.
Aiden was born June 12, 2007 at University of Michigan Motts Children’s Hopital, Ann Arbor, MI to Andrew and Kelly (Schumaker) Maher of Dundee, MI. Survivors also include a sister, Kaitlin at home; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Brenda Schumaker of Ottawa; paternal grandparents, Ray and Kay Maher of Sebring, FL and Pam and Steve Weigel of St. Mary’s; a great-grandmother, Laura Recker of Ottawa; and Godparents, Lisa Reyna and Greg Peck.
Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2007 at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland with Fr. Robert DeSloover officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

OAKWOOD - Phyllis L. Mohr, 83, of Oakwood, died 3:45 pm Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at The Paulding County Hospital in Paulding, Oh.
Mrs. Mohr was born September 20, 1924 in Melrose, Ohio to the late Alexander and Ferrell (Staly) Burt. On December 24, 1942 she married
Dean Mohr who survives in Oakwood.
She is survived by a daughter, Susan A. (Dennis) Ramgee of Perrysburg, Ohio and a son, Steven D. (Gisela) Mohr of Oakwood, Ohio; a brother, Theodore (Minnie) Burt of Clearwater, Florida, and a sister, Joyce (Ralph) Wyatt of Paulding, Ohio, four grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Mohr was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Burt.
She was a member of Twin Oaks Methodist Church in Oakwood, served as choir director at the Oakwood United Methodist Church for 25 years, and held several offices with the Women’s Society of Christian Service.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Twin Oaks Methodist Church in Oakwood, officiated by Pastor Jim Nathan. Burial will be at Prairie Chapel cemetery in Oakwood. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 pm Friday at Heitmeyer Funeral Home in Oakwood, and from 10 am until time of service Saturday at the church. Memorials can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
MARJORIE E. DUNLAP
OTTOVILLE - Marjorie “Midge” E. Dunlap, 87, of Ottoville, died 9:30 am Wednesday November 28, 2007 at her residence.
Mrs. Dunlap was born April 3, 1920 in Ottoville to the late Stephen and Adeline (Miehls) Looser. On June 25, 1942 she married
Robert Shilling and he died June 15, 1957. Later she married
David Dunlap who died May 5, 1981.
She is survived by her 2 sons; Stephen (Virginia) Shilling of New Richmond, OH and Lawrence Dunlap of Cloverdale, a son-in-law; Joseph Klima of Ottoville, 2 sisters; Virginia Hoffman of Columbus Grove and Joanne Nichols of Ft. Jennings, 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Dunlap was preceded in death by her daughter; Susan Klima, a sister; Elinor Swint and 2 brothers; George and John Looser.
She was a homemaker and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ottoville and its Altar Rosary and Catholic Ladies of Columbia Societies. She was also a member of the Ottoville VFW Auxiliary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am Saturday December 1, 2007 at Immaculate Conception Church in Ottoville with Fr. John Stites officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s cemetery in Ottoville. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 pm Friday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME in Jackson Township (corner of St Rts 224 & 634) where there will be a VFW Auxiliary service at 6:30 pm and a scripture service at 7:30 pm. Memorials can be made to St. Rita’s Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice.

LEIPSIC – Charles E. Leffler, 79, of Leipsic, died Tuesday morning, November 27, 2007 at his residence. He was born August 27, 1928 in Leipsic to the late Merle and Veola (Buckley) Leffler. On November 13, 1952 he married
Cathern Radabaugh who survives in Leipsic.
Other survivors include his children Sandra Leffler and Chuck Leffler both of Leipsic.
Mr. Leffler was a retired construction worker. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in both WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of the Leipsic VFW.

OTTAWA – Alberta L. Moening, 92, of Ottawa, died 1:36 am, Monday, December 10, 2007 at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa. She was born March 26, 1915 in Fort Jennings to the late Herman and Rosie (Schimmoeller) Ricker. On January 31, 1934, she married
Leander B. Moening. He died April 5, 1993.
Surviving include her children Eileen (Richard) Cramer of Roxboro, NC, Richard (Carol Moening of Ottawa, Raymond (Joan) Moening of Fort Jennings, Barbara Kleman of Ottawa, Janet Peck of Leipsic, Dennis (Linda) Moening of Glandorf, Donna (Gary) Miller of Bluffton, Gary (Kathy) Moening and Michael (Jane) Moening both of Glandorf; 32 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law Norman Kleman; 3 brothers: Melvin, Ralph and Edmund Ricker; and 4 sisters: Luella Alt, Charlotte Alt, Edna Lammers and Dorothy Kuhlman.
Mrs. Moening was a homemaker. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa and its Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed gardening, embroidery, and spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
A mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:00 am, Friday, December 14, 2007 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Tom Hemm officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday and 2 to 8 pm Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. A scripture service will begin at 2:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Sts. Peter and Paul School Building Fund.

Clara Marie Horstman, 86 of Kalida, died 9:58 pm Friday, December 7, 2007 at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. She was born November 12, 1921 in Kalida to the late Andrew and Josephine (Griese) Wehri. On September 30, 1947, she married
Virgil Horstman. He died April 14, 1990.
Surviving are 11 children: Kenneth (Diana) Horstman of Ottawa, Christina (Ken) Heckman of Glandorf, Julia (Don) Schroeder of Glandorf, Harold (Barb) Horstman of Kalida, William (Patti) Horstman of Kalida, Kathleen (Gary) Moening of Glandorf, David (Julie) Horstman of Kalida, Alvin (Shelly) Horstman of Kalida, Melvin (Lois) of Kalida, Teresa (Greg) Knueve of Kalida, Barb (Dave) Neidert of Kalida; 31 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 sister: Thecla (Al) Miller of California; 2 sisters-in-law: Anna Wehri of Kalida, Myra (Ade) Pfefferkorn of In.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Mary Horstman; a grandson: Brandon Horstman; 2 brothers: Alphonse and Norbert Wehri; 2 sisters: Magdalen Langhals, Anna Horstman; 2 sisters-in-law: Ima Jean Wehri, Freda Fortman; 3 brothers-in-law: Joseph Langhals, Eugene Horstman and Cletus Fortman.
Clara was a homemaker and had worked for Lima Locomotive Works. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Kalida and its Altar Rosary Society and a graduate of Kalida High School.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Ken Alt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Monday and 2 to 8 Tuesday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township (at the corner of St. Rt. 224 and St. Rt. 634). A scripture service will be said at 3:30 pm Tuesday and Altar Rosary Service 7:00 pm Tuesday.

Thomas N. Miller, 59, of Kalida died 12:44 pm Friday, December 6, 2007 at the Meadows of Kalida. He was born February 2, 1948 in Cloverdale to the late Amos and Wilma (Miller) Miller. On July 25, 1970, he married
Connie Kohls and she survives in Kalida.
Also surviving are two daughters: Shelly (John) Hopkins and Heather (Justin) Bockrath both of Kalida; 3 grandchildren: Keara and Claudia Hopkins, Dominic Bockrath; 4 sisters: Mary (Bill) Gerdeman of Delphos, Joan (Bill) Ellerbrock of Leipsic, Jane (Jerry) Hilvers of Ottoville, Donna (Bill) Ranes of Leipsic; 4 brothers: Gerald (Connie) Miller of Kalida, Dan (Judy) Miller of Cloverdale, Kevin (Ann) Miller of Kalida and Joe (Brenda) Miller of Ossian, In. He was preceded in death also by a brother: Rolland Miller and his in-laws: Bob and Marilyn Kohls.
Tom retired from General Motors in Defiance. He had also worked for Miller Construction in Kalida. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Kalida; a US. Army Vietnam Veteran; member of the Ottawa American Legion post 63; Ottawa VFW post 9142; attended Ottoville High School and was a member of the Kalida Fish and Game Club. He enjoyed golfing, the Detroit Tigers and Lions and was a big OSU fan. He especially loved spending time with his grandkids.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 2:00 pm Monday, December 10, 2007 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Ken Alt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites by the Ottawa VFW and American Legion. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 pm Sunday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township, at the corner of US 224 and 634.

OTTAWA – Albert A. “Abbie” Llewellyn, 86 of Ottawa died 4:43 am Saturday, December 08, 2007 at his residence. He was born March 8, 1921 in Continental to the late Henry and Ruth (Pease) Llewellyn. On September 28, 1946, he married
Louise A. Verhoff. She died December 6, 2007.
Surviving are 4 children: David (Sue) Llewellyn of Lima; Nancy (Paul) Deckman of Tuckerton, NJ., Gerald (Linda) Llewellyn of Glandorf, Marcia Reed of Ottawa; 7 grandchildren: Michael (Kelli) Deckman, Chris (Amy) Deckman, Kimberly Reed, Eric Reed, Jared Llewellyn, Dylan Llewellyn, Bret Llewellyn; 2 great-grandchildren: Kelsey Deckman, Jordan Deckman; 1 brother: Kerry (Joan) Llewellyn of Continental. He was also preceded in death by a brother: Arden Llewellyn and 2 sisters: Edna Mayer and Betty McPheron.
Abbie retired from the Maintenance Dept. of Louisiana-Pacific formerly in Ottawa. He was also a 3 term clerk with Greensburg Township. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church in Cuba for 60 years where he served as Administrator and then St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Kalida and its Holy Name Society. He was a WWII Army veteran serving in the Infantry and was a Pearl Harbor survivor; a member of the American Legion Post 541, Continental; Ottawa VFW Post 9142 and the Ottawa Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed woodworking, crossword puzzles and was a big Jeff Gordon Fan.
A Mass of Christian burial will be said for Abbie and his Wife, Louise on Monday, December 10, 2007 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Ken Alt officiating. Burial will follow in St. Isidore cemetery, Cuba with military rites by the Ottawa VFW.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 Sunday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME,, Ottawa where the Knights of Columbus and Holy Name Society will have a rosary at 7:00 pm and VFW service at 7:30 pm.

KALIDA - Louise A. Llewellyn, 84, of Kalida died 7 am Thursday at Putnam Acres Care Center in Ottawa.
She was born January 26, 1923 in Continental to the late Fred, Sr. and Elizabeth (Ellerbrock) Verhoff. On September 28, 1946 she married
Albert “Abbie”Llewellyn. He died December 8, 2007.
Also surviving are her children; David (Sue) Llewellyn of Lima, Nancy (Paul) Deckman of Tuckerton, NJ, Gerald (Linda) Llewellyn of Glandorf and Marcia Reed of Ottawa, 7 grandchildren; Michael (Kelli) Deckman, Chris (Amy) Deckman, Kimberly Reed, Eric Reed, Jared Llewellyn, Dylan Llewellyn and Bret Llewellyn, 2 great-granddaughters; Kelsey Deckman and Jordan Deckman, 2 brothers; Fred (Alvera) Verhoff and Norbert (Juanita) Verhoff both of Continental and a sister; Loretta Siebeneck of Lakeview.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Cletus and Amos Verhoff and 2 sisters; Eleanor Siebeneck and Lucille Kleman.
Mrs. Llewellyn was a retired nurse’s aide for Putnam Acres Care Center in Ottawa. She was a member of St. Isidore’s Catholic Church in Cuba for 60 years and then St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Kalida and its Altar Rosary Society, a member of St. Isidore’s Catholic Ladies of Columbia and the Continental American Legion Auxiliary. She loved to work in the yard and flower beds and to do embroidery.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am Monday, December 10, 2007 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Kalida with Fr. Ken Alt officiating. Burial will be in St. Isidore’s cemetery in Cuba. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 pm Sunday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME in Ottawa where there will be a Legion Auxiliary service at 6:30 pm and an Altar Rosary Service at 7 pm. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of the Donor’s choice.
Walter H. Schweller
Glandorf – Walter H. Schweller, 88, of Glandorf died at 11:00 PM Thursday, December 6, 2007 at Hilty Memorial Home, in Pandora.
Mr. Schweller was born on July 15, 1919 in Ottoville, Ohio to the late Julian H. & Regina (Hilvers) Schweller. On October 25, 1941 he married
Leona Unverferth who survives in Glandorf.
Also surviving are one son, Larry (Jan) Schweller of Glandorf, and one daughter, Nancy (Keith) Bolyard of Columbus Grove; five grandchildren, Dana Schweller, Leah Schweller, Jordan (Jess) Schweller, Wes (Beth) Bolyard, and Matt Bolyard; two great-grandsons, Nate and Ben Bolyard; three brothers, John Schweller of Ottoville, Henry (Jeannette) Schweller of Ottoville, and Donald (Jeannie) Schweller of Paulding; three sisters, Marie Ernst of California, Anna Allersmeyer of California, and Frances (Don) Grothouse of Delphos; and one sister-in-law, Jane Schweller of Ottoville.
A brother, Charles Schweller, preceded him in death.
Mr. Schweller retired from GTE Sylvania and was a member of St. John The Baptist Church, Glandorf; an Army Veteran of WW II where he served as a Military Policeman; he was a life member of the Ottawa American Legion Post # 63 and the Ottawa VFW Post # 9142; D.A.V.; Auxiliary State Highway Patrolman; member of Glandorf Men’s Society; GTE Sylvania Quarter Century Club; enjoyed polka dancing and traveling with his wife, playing SOLO with friends and spending time with family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 10, 2007 at 11:30 AM at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Glandorf, with Fr. Harold Brown officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Military Services by the Ottawa American Legion and VFW. Visitation will be from 2-8 PM Sunday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa where a VFW service will be held at 7:00 PM and a Parish Rosary service at 7:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Hilty Memorial Home in Pandora.

GAITHERSBURG, MD – Cora Ann Morgan, 71, of Gaithersburg died 9:44 pm, Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at her residence. She was born January 18, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Frank and Zelma (Lenhart) Morgan.
Survivors include a sister, Grace McEwan of Houston, TX.
She retired as a teaching assistant in the Gaithersburg school system.
