Carl C. Bouillon
Fostoria Industries retiree/farmer
Carl C. Bouillon, 72, died at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, 1998, at his home at 7106 W. Loudon TR 102.
Born May 8, 1926, in New Riegel, to Joseph Edward and Corrine (Frankart) Bouillon, he married
Rita Scherger, April 25, 1951, in St. Mary Church, Tiffin. She survives.
Survivors also include: two sons, Stephen Bouillon of Fostoria and David Bouillon of New Riegel; four daughters, Mrs. Gary (Constance) Saxton of Tiffin, Mrs. Stephen (Jane) Schalk and Mrs. Douglas (Janet) Ink, both of New Riegel, and Mrs. Thomas (Karen) Carabin of Medina; two brothers, Gerald Bouillon of Tiffin and Harold Bouillon of New Riegel; four sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Doris) Lortz of Carey, Mrs. Ralph (Josephine) Kimmet and Theresa Bouillon, both of New Riegel, and Mrs. Carl (Mary Ellen) Hoffman of Burgoon; and 21 grandchildren.
Three brothers, Edmund "Jim," Brother Rene, O.S.B., and Floyd, are deceased.
Mr. Bouillon, a 1944 New Riegel High School graduate, retired from Fostoria Industries, where he had been employed for 29 years.
Also a retired farmer, he was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riegel.
The Rev. Leonard Kistler will be the celebrant at the 10 a.m. Tuesday funeral Mass in St. Boniface Catholic Church, with the Rosary recited at 9:45 a.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home is 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. today, where a Wake service will be at 4 p.m.
Memorials may be made to New Riegel Right to Life or a charity of the donor's choice.
Elizabeth E. Wilson
Former Bettsville resident
Former Bettsville resident, Elizabeth E. Wilson, 76, died at 2:45 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998, in the Bethesda Care Center, Sandusky County, Fremont.
Arrangements are pending at the Engle Funeral Homes.
Sandra Jean Lonsway
Avid gardener
Sandra Jean Lonsway, 57, of 398 Union St., Bettsville, died Sunday morning, Dec. 27, 1998, at her home.
She was born in Tiffin, April 12, 1941, the daughter of Kenneth and Mildred (Baker) Eidt. Her mother survives.
Other survivors include: her special friend, John Gerwin; five sons, Andrew Glick of Tiffin, Timothy Glick of Upper Sandusky, Mark Glick of Sycamore, Brian Lonsway of Bloomville and Gregory Lonsway of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a daughter, Dawn Rodawald of Linville, Va.; two brothers, James Eidt of Bettsville and Timothy Eidt of Tiffin; a sister, Cindy Radcliff of Tiffin; and 13 grandchildren.
A brother, a grandchild and her father are deceased.
Mrs. Lonsway, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and American Legion Auxiliary 169, worked at the Pie House in Bettsville.
She was an avid gardener.
Services in the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home will be 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Kansas cemetery, Kansas, Ohio.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association of Tiffin or a charity of the donor's choice.
Jean H. Harlan
Sign company part-owner
Jean H. Harlan, 73, of Floyd Street, Clyde, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 1998, at his residence.
He was born in Fremont, July 12, 1925, to Frank and Ruth (Don) Harlan.
On Feb. 28, 1947, he married
Jane Murphy, who survives.
Also surviving are: three daughters, Mrs. Travis (Janean) McElyea of Basking Ridge, N.J., Mrs. Gregory (Janet) Spencer of Bellevue and Barbara Harlan of Benson, N.C.; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Keith and Don Harlan, both of Fremont; and a sister, Mrs. Fredalinc Bennett of Clyde.
Preceding him in death were three brothers, Merle, Glen and Floyd Payden; and a sister, Rae Newman.
Mr. Harlan, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, was the president and part-owner of Mercury Sign Co. in Fremont.
A 1943 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and a life-long Clyde area resident, he attended the Methodist Church and was a member of the Fremont VFW.
Visitation at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, Clyde, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday until time of the services at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. John Bailey officiating.
Interment will be in McPherson cemetery, Clyde.

Larry M. Kin
Farm machinery salesman/farmer
Larry M. Kin, 36, of 2919 E. TR 122, died at 5:20 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, 1998, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Lucas County, Toledo, where he had been a patient for several days.
He was born in Tiffin, June 10, 1962, the son of Richard and Rita (Kromer) Kin, who survive in rural Tiffin. His wife, Laurie (Cleveland) Kin, a teacher at Old Fort School, whom he married
Aug. 11, 1984, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, survives.
Survivors also include: two sons, Kori Alan, age 9, and Kurtis Michael Kin, age 3, both at home; many nieces and nephews; a brother, Donald Kin of Tiffin; and two sisters, Mrs. Dan (Carol) Praklet of Union, Mich., and Kathleen Kin of Elkhart, Ind.
Mr. Kin, a 1980 Columbian High School graduate and life-long Tiffin area resident, was employed as a farm machinery salesman for Gibbs Equipment in Bellevue.
Also a farmer, he formerly worked as a counter salesman at Seneca Parts and as a BP Gas delivery man for Fran Steinmetz.
An avid Cleveland Indians fan and a fan of the National Tractor Pullers Association, he was interested in collecting miniature replicas of farm machinery, both old and new.
He was a member of the Farm Bureau and Seneca Soil and Water Conservation Organization and attended Old Fort United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Jerry Wiles will be the officiant at the 10:30 a.m. Wednesday service in the Old Fort United Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Green Springs cemetery.
Visitation at the Engle-Young Funeral Home, Green Springs, will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and at the church one hour before the service on Wednesday.
Memorials may be made to the church or the Leukemia Society.
Carl Peter
Flower/gift shop owner/operator
Carl Peter, 85, of Loudon Meadows Drive, Fostoria, died at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 1998, in Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.
He was born in Cridersville, Sept. 30, 1913, to Carl R. and Rhoenna M. (Spees) Peter.
On Aug. 22, 1932, in Fostoria, he married
Helen A. Page, who survives in Fostoria.
Other survivors include: two sons, Robert Peter of New Smyrna Beach, Fla. and Richard Peter of Fostoria; two grandchildren, a great-grandchild and a step-great-grandchild.
Preceding him in death were a brother, Richard Peter; and a grandchild.
Mr. Peter, along with his wife, owned and operated the Flower and Gift Shop on South Main Street in Fostoria 1962-91.
A 1931 graduate of Fostoria High School, he was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Fostoria.
Services in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. R. Edson Reed officiating. Burial will be in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation at the funeral home will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Elizabeth E. 'Betty' Wilson
Former Bettsville homemaker
Elizabeth E. "Betty" Wilson, 76, formerly of Bettsville, died at 2:45 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998, in the Bethesda Care Center, Sandusky County, Fremont, where she had resided since 1994.
She was born Oct. 25, 1922, in Bettsville, to Robert and Gladys (Shay) Nash.
She first married
Clyde E. Ryder, March 26, 1946.
Her second husband, Edmund M. Wilson, whom she married
July 16, 1973, in Zion United Church of Christ, Bettsville, died May 6, 1982.
Survivors include: a son, David A. Ryder of Tiffin; a daughter, Mrs. David (Gail) Cronin of Riverside, Calif.; two granddaughters, two grandsons and a great-grandson.
Mrs. Wilson, a homemaker, worked at Erie Proving Grounds during World War II.
A 1941 Bettsville High School graduate, she was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Bettsville and a former member of its Bell Choir.
She also was a former member of Bettsville Athletic Boosters and bowled on Windau's B & B Bowling Team.
The Rev. Gary Adams will be the officiant at the 11 a.m. Thursday service in the Turner-Engle Funeral Home of Tiffin.
Burial will be in Kansas cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and one hour before the service on Thursday.
Memorials may be made to Bethesda Care Center, Fremont.
Lois Jean Montoya
Home economics teacher
Lois Jean Montoya, 56, died Monday, Dec. 28, 1998, at her residence at 16704 E. Thompson TR 178, Bellevue, following a long illness.
She was born March 8, 1942, in Bellevue, to Arthur and May (Lutz) Hansen.
They survive in Thompson Township, Bellevue.
Survivors also include: a son, William Montoya of Bellevue; a daughter, YvonneMontoya, also of Bellevue; two brothers, Robert C. Hansen Ph.D, of Wooster and William Hansen of Loudonville; and 18 nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Montoya, a 1960 graduate of Thompson High School and a 1968 graduate of Arizona State University, where she received her degree in home economics and education, taught home economics in the Bellevue, York and Thompson Schools.
She also taught elementary education in Albuquerque, N.M. and Head Start on the Navajo Reservations in Arizona and New Mexico.
A member of Seybert United Methodist Church, Bellevue, she also was employed for three years by the State of Florida, working with troubled youth in their institutions.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Foos and Son Funeral Home, Bellevue, with the Rev. Joseph E. Sopher officiating.
Interment will be in Fireside cemetery, Thompson Township.
Visitation at the funeral home will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.

Mabel Ropka Smith
Homemaker/former Clyde resident
Mabel Ropka Smith, 93, of Winterhaven, Fla., formerly of Clyde, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 1998, in Winterhaven Hospital.
Born Sept. 17, 1905, in Clyde, to Henry and Mary (Rohm) Ropka, she married
Amos Smith, Feb. 14, 1933.
He is deceased.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Andy (Doris Jean) Anderson of Lakeland, Fla.; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A sister, Lula Gilbert; and a brother, William Ropka, are deceased.
Mrs. Smith, who received her education in the Clyde Schools, was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Baptist Church in Florida.
Mrs. Smith's grandson, the Rev. Robert A. Anderson, will be the officiant at the 2 p.m. Wednesday service in the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, Clyde.
Interment will be in McPherson cemetery, Clyde.
Visitation at the funeral home will be 1 p.m. Wednesday until time of the service.
Evelyn Myers
Tiffin native/homemaker
Evelyn Myers, 84, of Meadow Lane, and formerly of West Stone Street, Gibsonburg, died Wednesday morning, May 27, 1998, in Memorial Hospital, Fremont.
She was born Oct. 10, 1913, in Tiffin, to Dayton and Mary (Cunningham) Ringle.
On Nov. 26, 1932, in the church parsonage, she married
Lloyd E. Myers.
He died Aug. 10, 1991.
Surviving are three sons, Richard of Bradner, Carl of Kansas and Raymond of Fremont; a daughter, Mrs. Glenn (Mary) England of Risingsun; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Donald and Charlie Ringle; and a sister, Minnie Mae Taylor.
A homemaker, Mrs. Myers was a member of the First English Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg, its Women of the Church and the Gibsonburg Garden Club.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the First English Lutheran Church, where her body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in West Union cemetery, Gibsonburg.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in the Nopper-Veh Funeral Home, Gibsonburg.
Memorials may be made to the church, the Heart Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
